I was so impressed with Honest1 Auto and my service advisor Jeff B. He was professional, friendly and very customer service oriented. Amazingly, they took my car the same day I had it towed and even provided shuttle service when I could not find a ride to pick up my vehicle. They were reasonably priced and were quick to return the car. (new water pump, radiator and belt) That was important, as I take care of my elderly mother and need the car to help her. The facility was pristine, new and clean. I was pleasantly surprised when they kept me updated by text on the inspection, the work as it progressed and the completion. They included detailed descriptions with photos every step of the way. I will definitely use them again for future service and am so happy I took my car to Honest1 Auto. Thank you! I couldnt have asked for a better experience in a bad situation.

Unexpected major expense. Got us in fast and got it done. Offered to get us to our hotel. The building and restroom were immaculate! They even had feminine products. Coffee bar and water bottles. Great and friendly staff. They definetly went above and beyond.

Had random stalling on my vehicle. They were professional and friendly. Having said that, they had my vehicle all day, ran a ton of diagnostics on it. All they came up with was new battery. Total cost well over 350 dollars. Did nothing to solve the problem. Car continued to stall out on me. Had it taken to another repair shop and that shop immediately found the problem as a bad crank shaft sensor...total repair cost at second shop? 150. This shop seems to work off engine codes, if there is no code they are clueless. A waste of money and time.

I took my car to the dealer and got an estimate for an oil change but they wanted to perform all kinds of non-essential servicesI came to Honest1 in Ormond Beach and the girl upfront was very professional and knowledgeableI thought she had done her job for many years but she had been there a very short time!Liz

Was driving home to Tennessee from vacation and hit a ladder on the interstate. This was our closest option for a fix when we heard something dragging. Expecting a big delay in travel time, we were amazed that they got it right up on the lift and repaired in about 20 minutes start to finish. They checked everything out and fixed the damage and also filled up all four tires. Remarkably nice people. Wish I had a trustworthy and kind mechanic like this at home.

Ripped me off. Having trouble car not starting. Had it towed here kept it overnight charged me 325.00 for a stupid battery.

The name alone should post a bright red flag in your mind. This company preys upon the average consumers lack of automotive knowledge. It appears they employ technicians that actually perform the work and account managers that attempt to upsell unnecessary repairs and services. This company quoted me $537 to install a serpentine belt. Thats $300 more than the high end of RepairPal.coms national average.Heres my story:I came home from work and my wife said she had a battery light warning light on the dash. I went to Walmart that evening and installed a new battery (located in the cars trunk), but the light remained on. After having the car towed home from Walmart, I checked under the hood in the morning to discover a shredded serpentine belt laying on the bottom of the engine compartment. The car also had an oil leak which coupled with the shredded belt had made a mess of the front of the engine.After having the car towed to Honest-1, I received a call from the account manager who stated theyd have to charge an extra hour of labor to clean up the mess in the engine compartment. He proceeded to tell me the labor schedule for installation of the belt was two hours. Parts and labor total $537. On top of that the salesman/account manager stated my battery was dead and needed to be replaced as well. I immediately informed him the battery was less than 24 hours old.Unable to upsell me on the battery, which is normally recharged by the alternator which wasnt doing its job since the belt wasnt there, the salesman called me back to tell me I needed an oil change to be safe since the oil level was calculated by the cars computer. He reasoned that because the battery was dead they didnt know how much oil was present. Luckily, I had topped it off two days prior, so I shot the oil change service recommendation down.That evening I started calling other shops and checking online resources. Everyone, including AAA, agreed $537 was outrageous. Phrases like price gouging and words like predatory were used. The other mechanics I contacted all had less than an hour in their labor schedules for this job. The next morning I had the car towed to another shop that cleaned the engine compartment, fixed the oil leak and installed the serpentine belt for just over $200. Thats over $300 less than Honest-1 had quoted me and inline with RepairPal.coms national average for belt installation on this year, make and model car.The owner and her professional PR response will attempt some damage control after reading this review and thats fine, but do yourself a favor and take your car to a mechanic that is honest enough to tell a customer that the reason the battery is dead is because it wasnt being re-charged by the alternator (because the belt was connected to it). Honest enough to tell a customer that as soon as the belt is installed, the oil level will be able to be checked too.Im very disappointed AAA subjects their members to a business that employs these tactics.REBUTTAL TO OWNER:The $537 price did NOT include repairing the oil leak. The belt alone (no tensioners) and labor totaled $537. “Honest-1” would’ve needed to determine exactly where the oil leak was originating and include any additional parts and labor into that $537 quote.Another point that needs clarification is how did “Honest-1” read the oil light when they also state that the battery was dead?They did NOT ask me how old the battery was. Proof? The message they left on my phone:“Hey Steve, this is Jeff at Honest-1. Uh, give me a call back, the only thing is I got to talking to the Tech with that engine oil leak. I don’t know how much, where the oil level might be on it and you have to have a special computer to check the oil in that, so I didn’t know if you wanted to be on the safe side to have us go ahead and do an oil change that way we know it has the correct amount of oil in it or not. So, if you can just go ahead and give us a call and let us know. Thank you.”“Honest-1” is anything but.

I had a spark plug blow out of the cylinder in my 2002 Ford Crown Victoria. These guys fixed it with a simple heli-coil and a new plug and coil, and the car ran like new again. They are a must recommend for honest car repair.

I dont recommend honest 1 cause kept my car all day for a diagnosis of Saturn vue and it was all kinds of code and didnt clear the codes I took too another mechanic and he did fine test and clear the codes and the guy didnt charge because honest 1 charge me 100 to do nothing ..The couldnt fix battery cable I highly recommend do not go to honest 1

Utterly expensive. A starter for $695.00?My significant is angry with me. After that two wheel brarings, alignment and oil change for 595.00 from Andres.I will try not to come back.

Had an appointment at 11. Forty five minutes later, they still hadnt touched my car. Asked for my keys back and left. Given that one of the people in the waiting room was sleeping when I got there, Im guessing this is not unusual for them.

Terrible experience. Jay must have woken up in a bad mood and decided to have an attitude when we were picking up a u-haul. Do not go here to get a u-haul.

So, I looked within about a 25 mile radius of Flagler Beach to find a place I felt comfortable taking my car and Honest-1 Auto Care was the only one where customers had good things to say. And they were right. From the moment I walked in this place the atmosphere was welcoming. Kids play area on your right, free wifi and work stations, even down to the bathroom. Sounds strange but how would you expect the bathroom at the mechanic to be? Probably not great. Well this one looked like they had someone from HGTV come in and design it. Impeccably clean, hand activated trashcan, the whole 9 yards. Just shows their attention to detail.Now lets talk service. I was welcomed by Dennis who was friendly, honest and who did not pressure me in the least. He put the paperwork estimate together for my synthetic oil change and when I asked about any specials he said, I already added two coupons to your service and were going to get you out of here paying $49. $49?!? Thats about $8 more than if I went out and bought the oil and got under the car myself.He also did a free check and asked me if I was aware of my check engine light. I said I was and that I had been told it was due to my catalytic converter needing replacement. Since I had been quoted about $1600 by another mechanic (and the car has 282,000 miles on it) I decided to pass. Well Dennis informed me that the catalytic conversion wasnt the issue at all. Instead I just needed to replace a fuel O2 sensor and that they could do it for under $400. He said it wasnt the end of the world if I didnt do it, but that it would just help with mileage and keeping my fuel intake from being too rich or too lean. So, I made a follow up appointment and I am getting it done today.Cant say enough good things about the service here and how these guys treat their customers. Just plain refreshing.

I couldn’t say if their service is good or bad, we never got that far because of their lack of professionalism. We made an appointment for a simple oil change for early in the morning, to avoid being subject to the delays that can happen with mid day service appointments. When we arrived just before our 8am time, the service tech informed us that it would be at least an hour and a half before they could even get to us. We decided not to wait and confirmed before leaving that he understood that we had made an appointment. His reply was that he knew but someone should have told us that they weren’t Jiffy Lube.A simple call to advise they were running behind or to reschedule would have been appreciated.

These guys are GREAT!. Last Saturday our Jeep failed over at the beach access point. After contacting Honest 1 at 1:00 p.m. --and they told us they closed at 4 p.m.--we had it towed to Honest 1. They told us they could not guarantee they could get to it bc they had others in front of us, and it was getting late on a Saturday. Not only did they get it in but they got the problem fixed and us back on the road that same Saturday!! They could have easily put us over to Monday. You dont find service like this much anymore. I will take all of our vehicles to these guys. Very informative. Honest. And they really do seem to care about their customers. A rarity in auto repair. fdb

This time we went in for an oil change. They were quick, and when finished, they sent us a notification with all the things they had checked - an easy to read report.

This place has a nice lobby and tries to present itself as a good mechanic shop but all they do is try to overcharge people and take advantage of people. They will try to find extra problems with your vehicle and tell you that you need to fix it so they can get extra money. One mechanic tried to fight me in the parking lot because I called him out on the BS the shop does. Do NOT go here.

Have used Honest 1 about four times now and have found my new preferred auto shop. You can tell these men truly want to service and help those that come to their shop. They are NOT looking for ways to scam you and rip you off.Two of the four times I’ve come by with an issue the guys simply checked an error code, told me the simple fix and sent me on my way.Thank you Mike for making my day.

I first spoke to Tricia G., Service Advisor, when I arrived and she was friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. She took my information and set up an immediate examination of my car. This was performed by George S., the Technician. George was very professional and related in detail what was needed to address my concerns about my car. I have to say that I was very impressed with Honest-1 Auto Care. and I will be returning for my maintenance needs. Both Tricia and George deserve the 5 Star ratings.

$3500.00 est. for repairs Its a 2003, not worth repairing . I talked with my mechanic in Deland he was optimistic. I had it towed to Deland, $120. Parts $260. labor $200.00. $580.00 VS $3500.00. Be very careful with this company .Ive driven over 500 miles since Deland repairs. Dishonest

Dennis an his team were very friendly, and explained into detail services being completed while answering any questions I had on services I thought I might need. I was giving my car over to my 16yr old an wanted to make sure of any services that I thought the car might need for his safety. Which was very important to me. I had no sales pressure and great pricing for services that day along with the services in the future. Loved the entire experience.

Just had a horrible experience! been using Honest one since 2010 and this is the last time I will bring my vehicle.We have warranty parts that Dennis refuses to honor. parts that your company installed that failed. we were told to fix the other parts then he will honor the warrantied items.I dont believe this is how things should be done. especially seeing as the problem that is currently going wrong on my vehicle is the warrantied parts. not other parts that he claims are in disrepair.Nor was I told a year ago that failing to repair everything they suggested would result in them refusing to fix the parts they should.

Weve worked with Honest-1 in Ormond Beach for the past couple of years. When we purchased new tires at another business, they told me I needed an alignment. I didnt have uneven wear on the old tires, so I was suspicious that they were trying to sell me something I didnt need. I stopped at Honest 1 and talked to Dennis. In just a couple of minutes, He had checked my alignment and said that it was perfect and didnt need to be realigned. Every time Ive done business with Honest 1, they are honest and very easy to work with. Ill be back next time my car needs service.Thank You

Im from out of town and my classic car left me on the side of the road over a weekend. The guys at Honest-1 took me in and got me back on the road quickly. Very very nice people here! Very knowledgeable mechanics and the price they charged me was more than fair and much less than I expected for the work they did. You will not be disappointed with these guys.

Since moving into the area I have used Honest-1 in Ormond as my exclusive auto care provider, and I could not be happier. From routine oil changes to larger projects, I have never experienced anything less than the best. Just today I dropped my car off for an oil change, and Mike alerted me that my air filters were nearing the end of their time. Instead of pressuring me into a decision, he walked me through the pros and cons of changing filters right away, or waiting until my next visit. Great staff, great location, great lobby and amenities, GREAT service, no pressure. Cannot recommend this staff and location enough.

They quoted the same price as the dealership so I had to pass.

First they tell us $90 to bleed the brakes and run a diagnostic well call you on Saturday - Monday the diagnostic has not been run when we go check - when we go to pick it up its on a lift - they want $170 for bleeding the brakes and the diagnostic - after reminding them what they told us when it was dropped off the got says of thats right we werent able to bleed the brakes!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? You just tried to charge me for work you never even did!!! The repair $700 - would you have even replaced the part it I let you change it??? The best part? Driving my truck home the lug nuts were never tightened!!! When we called to see why? Like theres a good reason - he said we never took the tire off- so you never did that safety check with every diagnostic either did you!!!!! BEWARE!!! They dont care if they kill you LITERALLY

I have had an excellent experience, Mike the supervisor and George the technician have been very thorough and detailed throughout many issues with my 2008 Ford Explorer, explaining extensively what is needed and also what is not. This was my first choice among multiple shops due to the excellent customer service and technical experience shown firsthand, as I do plenty of research and digging myself to be somewhat knowledgeable of the problems with this vehicle. PLUS one cannot beat the 3 year 36k mile warranty that this company provides. Absolutely recomended!!

I am not a customer and will not be based on my experience Saturday 6-13-2020, I had a Uhaul reservation for a 2 30 pickup time arrived around 2 oclock, Gentleman working the counter told me U Haul was closed and a seperate company. Ok Can you help me or call someone ? he was very rude and told me I need to leave I was not rude to him. Very unprofessional.I am new to area and would need some future work on our vehicles, But based on the way the employee treated me, I will never be a customer and can not suggest anyone else going to this business. If U Haul; is a seperate Business, the Owners had to apply and be awarded the Franchise. The employee needs to be more professional because this is a reflection of both Honest 1 Auto and Uhaul and effects both .

At this location I had a fantastic experience, the consultant (Mike) showed professional and dedication service delivery! He is a great asset to your company as he addressed all automobile needs. I was out of town and while being in Florida I experienced a great customer service experience from Mike and this location. That said, my family successfully arrived to our destination. My truck wouldnt start after I filled it at the station next door. A couple of nice guys helped me push it to Honest-1. They got me right in, explained what was wrong and what others diagnose the problem too be. Saved me over $100.00 by being honest. Great stag and crew. Highly recommend.

I was passing through Ormond Beach on my way to Miami when the splash guard on my car detached and started dragging on the road. I stopped at Honest-1 and they removed what remained of the splash guard, and they let my dog and I sit in their waiting area and gave us both water and snacks while we waited. The staff was very friendly and turned what was initially an annoying and potentially costly situation into a very pleasant and affordable one. I wish I lived in Ormond Beach so I could take my car to Honest-1 Auto Care for regular servicing.

Best place ever!!! I came in for an oil change and tire rotation. I drive a box truck so most places cant fit my truck in the bay. This place can! The staff was super friendly and the facility was very clean. They got me in in no time and got me out in a very reasonable time as well. If your wondering about their prices, you can trust their name. Honest-1!! They will do you right! Also, when you go, ask for the lovely Tricia! She was new when I visited but she was very professional and courteous. They also have a nice waiting area with drinks and snacks. I will always choose Honest-1 from now on. And so should you.

I own Mercedes C300 4matic and have been looking for a reliable and honest auto repair shop. I went to couple auto repair places and wasnt impressed with their service and behavior. Also the local Mercedes Dealership is notorious for charging way to much for the services they provide and not all the repairs they do are top notch.Im glad I called an Honest - 1 Auto Care, spoke to Ben - service advisor - great guy! Ben was very warm on the phone and I booked B service and alignment, hopping my MB will be treated good. I was glad and surprised to see the business and parking lot are clean and well maintained. The service I received was great and Im looking forward to having them take care of my cars. I recommend them highly to anyone needing an honest car repair!

Amazing customer service

I took my 2003 audi to Honest 1 in Port Orange as it was not starting. They called back and told me it needed a new motor costing $5000.00. The front desk person said they did not do a diagnostic check. He just looked at the motor and decided it was shot. He further said the timing chain broke and the pistons,bent the valves. I understand the Audi does not even have a timing chain but a belt. I had my car towed to Mason Garage down the street and they diagnosed with a faulty ECT sensor for $42.60. My car is running well again. I called them up and told them that my car was running again and did not need a motor. The person on the phone wanted to know how much it cost me and said he would inform management.

Any place that needs to call themselves honest is a Red Flag. I took my 2010 Town and Country Van here today for my drivers side window would not work. $580.00. Estimate. They did not touch the van ever. And took 3 hours for them to call me back. The man used fancy terminology words about Assembly and parts. Did not have any idea of what he was talking about. I took it to a place in Ormond Beach A1A .$210.00 dollars to repair parts and labor. Shop Around!!

I came over from Ocala today. As I am making my way east on Granada, I hear a horrible noise underneath my car. Long story short, I decided to go to Honest 1. I had passed by there many times coming into Daytona. What a great decision that was!!! I had often wondered what I would do if I was over here and needed some type of assistance with my car. Now I know!!! Highly, highly recommend them!!!

We had a tire losing air on our trip back to Florida, stopped here to have it checked, The people were wonderful and very courteous. The waiting area was very clean and comfortable. They checked all tires, added some air and we were good to go. No charges, no long wait, and no extra works! I definitely recommend it!

I visited this location several times. On each visit they have been very professional and treated me with the utmost respect. They fully inspect my car and advise me of repairs needed. On this last visit I asked them to check my brakes because another shop told me brakes were needed. They brought me out to the shop and let me see the brakes and advised that there was no need to replace them. Honest 1 for a reason, honest people.

Ive been here twice - once for a bad serpentine belt / alternator pulley, and again for a punctured tire. In both cases they recommended the most cost effective option - even to the point of recommending refurbished parts stores and instructions to do a self-repair, where theres nothing in it for them. Theyve been consistently understanding and timely.

Honest 1 has always been great to my family and I. I recently gave birth to my beautiful baby girl only to return home from the hospital for my car to not be working. I had it towed to H1 they fixed it immediately! The best part was Trish was able to deliver my car right back to my front door step! They always go above and beyond. This is why I trust them with my business!!

Stopped here because I needed an oil change and theyre right in the area I wanted to go. The inside is immaculate, everyone is SUPER nice, and they have a fantastic waiting area with a TV. They also offer coffee and snacks. The 1st time I went I was pleasantly surprised by a coupon and snack hanging from my rear view mirror when I got back in my car. The 2nd time I was there Mike helped me out with something I postponed from the 1st visit. Im so glad I found this place and I plan to stick with them for as much as I can get done there!

This is the BEST place ever....Ive never felt that I was being told anything other than the truth and have appreciated everything that this company has done in repairs on my vehicle. I needed two batteries for a 2018 Dodge Ram 3500/6.7......on 1/16/2020....I was told the price would be $700 for two batteries. I live in Georgia and I was working out of town and I needed to get back on the road.After I paid $700 for two batteries my friend said he paid $500 at the Dodge dealership and that’s to install and out the door. I called Napa where they purchase the batteries for my Dodge and they said the price of their batteries are 204.00 each. I felt like Honest Care One took advantage of the situation I was in.

I brought my car in, they completed the job in a timely manner and it’s driving great now. Ben was professional and helpful. The shop does not look like your typical auto repair store. It’s clean with areas to relax and wait with snacks and drinks and an area for little kids to play. I will bring my car back here first for all it’s future repair/maintenance work.

Everyone that works there is extremely helpful and nice. They give you the best price and the overall look of the store is amazing! Clean, modern and they have food, water and a really nice sitting area while you wait. Definitely the best place I’ve been in Daytona and the surrounding areas.
