Very dishonest and unethical people. Do not do business with this place. Called the Orlando store for pricing and availability of an OB motor. Was quoted higher than everyone else but was told they had the unit available. I did find the unit for a lot less with RNF and got the quote but they were honest enough to tell me they will not have anything in stock for 6 months. I called West Marine and was told they would honor any written quote from a competitor. I went to the store to put the deposit and brought the quote. But John told me the motor was on back ordered. Even-though I spoke with him before leaving the house which is an hour away, he did not have the decency to tell me the truth. Dishonest people like John should be fired. Stay away from this place.

Very small store in a sketchy area. The staff is friendly, but they are more sales people than boaters. If you know what you are looking for, then you are good. If you have any boating questions, theres only a couple of employees who might know what you need. Especially if you are a sailboater. Recommend calling before you go as the store hours are different than their website.

Excellent store for all boating/ fishing products. Prices run a little higher than some other stores but excellent staff and product availability. Free ship to store on heavier items not in stock. 5 star if prices were a little lower, so watch for sale prices on most major holidays.

Like all West Marines, the prices are a little high, but they have what you want.

The place had no AC. And a tall man ( a manager of some sort )was unprofessional with us. I guess he thinks we dont own boats/ or should be in there.

Just visited location moments ago. Both customer service rep on the floor and check out staff was incredibly kind and very helpful. Good People Not something one encounters daily. Pricing was a bit shocking. However, I was able to identify the exact products needed, locate them on Amazon and order prior to departing the location. Saved roughly 54%

Usually have what I need as far as boat care. Staff is happy to help, only 4 stars because the prices are pretty far out. But theyve never turned down a price match!

With a friend, I visited the store to see items Im thinking about getting for my new boat. Ive sailed for decades, but have never owned. Ive used mostly older gear, so I wanted to get a little more up-to-speed on the current toys. My only disappointment is that the store didnt have nearly the in-house selection as I expected, but they kept the shelves stocked with what that store does carry. On the plus side, everything was easy to see, displays were all functioning, and the staff couldnt have been nicer. The gentleman asked the right questions to try to help me find what would be right for the boat, but wasnt trying to sell me the super-deluxe-gazillion-creature-feature model. When I didnt need help, they went on to see about the next customer or straighten things about the store. The young lady was quick to ensure my friend found everything she was looking for in the clothing section. Bottom line, its a good store with nice, helpful people.

If you want to pay too much for something youve come to the right place. CONSTANTLY finding marine supplies for twice the price as other retailers. Unfortunately its the only decent brick and mortar store so if I dont have time to order online its my only choice.

Went there to try to warranty a trailer hub I had purchased 2 months earlier that went bad. I had the receipt with me and they wouldn’t exchange it for me even though they told me it had a year warranty.

This place is great. Very helpful and had a great selection of equipment that I needed. I am an outdoorsman and I found this place very helpful.

I ordered something online and the price was amazing ( clearance item) it was shipped super fast and the lady working was super nice and even helped me load my crab traps! The stores prices were a bit high though but the customer service was fantastic!

I found the store thru google but i needed something close to where i was fishing. I walked in and waited and waited. This older guy with grey hair let 2 ppl skip ahead of me so i decided to walk around the store. I walked around the store for about 20 mins and nobody asked not even once did i need any help so i left. I will never visit this store again, i had the worst 1st visit ever. How do u expect to stay in business mistreating ur customer.

I visited West Marine today to purchase some fire extinguishers for our business. I found the prices on just about everything in the store - and I spent some time there - to be exorbitant. Upon checkout dealing with Walt, the cashier, I wasnt able to get my AmEx card to swipe. Walt explained that West Marine was unable to manually enter a card. Thats fine. I offered another card to swipe. What isnt fine is the way he acted during this process. Not only was he extreemely rude almost instantly when I told him to forget about using any of my cards and that my coworker will be paying for it, he grabbed the extinguishers away from the counter and tossed them behind the desk. It was an incredibly unprofessional gesture - especially for an older gentleman. After this I just couldnt justify spending 60 bucks at a store just to be treated so rudely when I could get a MUCH better deal online. As I walked out with my coworker I told him that we would not be back. He said, Good!. Good. Great. Its a shame how one bad experience can completely tarnish your view of a company. After working for years in customer service there is no way I would have ever talked to a customer the way he did. I understand West Marine probably does have a lot of good employees, but because of this one rotten apple, Ill never be shopping there again AND trying to convince everyone I know to shop elsewhere as well.
