Ordered a Girasol AR-15 Upper Receiver 16. Upon testing the upper, it was failing to eject the round. I Contacted Davidson Defense about it and they told me I could ship it back for a 85% store credit. I agreed and sent them a picture of the upper, at which point Davidson defense told me that due to the condition of the upper, they could not accept the return. The upper has only been fired a couple of times (malfunctioning each time), and is in the condition I received it. So they acknowledged that the upper was not up to their standards, but since I was technically outside of their return window, they declined to assist me further. They then suggested I sell the upper locally (after knowing it was defective). I would stay clear of this place, give your money to palmetto state armory, bear creek arsenal or sportsman outdoor. Davidson Defense would rather take your money on a technicality than deliver a functioning product.

Took about 3 weeks to come in. I chose the unassembled route since it was my first build, I wanted to learn how the gun worked and what parts did what and where they went. Paid 445 or the complete kit (except the lower) Purchased an Anderson Arms stripped lower for it. Took me a few hours to put everything together but I must say, it wasn’t hard and the parts look like great quality! The 16 inch nitride barrel came dimpled from them (wasn’t an option) but I like it. Made putting the gas block on much easier and easier to line up. Haven’t shot it yet but I don’t expect anything wrong to go with it once it breaks in. The BCG is a little tight but that’s what happens with a new build. Going to work the BCG with some oil a bit before I shoot it to help it wear in. I’ll buy from them again for sure!

Terrible customer service, even worse quality standards. Purchased a Davidson upper. Come to find out they did not drill a gas port. Looks like they thought about drilling the port but did not. That should tell you everything about the pride they have in their work. I attempted to exchange the upper to give Davidson another chance but they would not exchange or accept a return. There are plenty of other gun shops in the area, steer clear of this one.

I have always had a good experience shopping here. Weather Im buying more parts or just bouncing ideas off the staff. Always good value.

Should have read the reviews before my purchase. The warranty is 14 days (lol) but that’s not the problem. Quality is the issue. The handguard can’t even hold a simple QD mount. MLOK slot can no longer be used because it’s bent. Can’t wait to see what else goes wrong with this cheap upper. Spend the extra bucks and get something else

I have greatly enjoyed my experience with Davidson Defense!!! I have ordered items online to be shipped to my home, I have ordered items to be picked up in the store (to save shipping costs), and I have purchased items in person at their store. I have had them due multiple gun smithing work, and have been very happy with their work. I have had an excellent experience in each of my dealings with Davidson Defense. I would highly recommend them to everyone I know. Everyone I know that has been to their location in Orem, has had a good experience. I think people just need to learn a little patience, because patience and common courtesy go a long way!

I tried to site it in with Irons and I had to crank the the windage all the way to the left to get close to center. The compensator did not match the one in the image and it unscrewed with very little effort. Also noticed a lot of carbon accumulating around the gas block after 20 rounds. I could excuse the cheap build and rough fit and finish if it just shot straight. Youre not getting a deal, its just a waste on money.BTW when all the reviews are either 1 star or 5 stars, you can bet the 5 stars are shill reviews.

Recently punched 7.5 AR upper paid 50 dollars to have tested. Received upper. Would not cycle. After buying a bunch of parts I didnt need it was found that the gas block was twisted. Called supplier and asked for my test fee back and was denied. Will not do business with them again and would not recommend

Davidson Defense is a bit of a mixed bag. At least during the 2020-2021 era of gun-buying craziness, calling them on the phone is completely useless. They do have inexpensive and high quality AR-15 parts in stock, and they have a computer that you can use to put in an order in the store. I think that their employees are spread thin - which has resulted in some well-earned negative reviews. However, if you catch them when they arent too busy, they have some extremely kind & helpful employees. Working in customer service is a tough job, so just try to be understanding.

I received my order and was missing parts. I sent in 2 request for these to be sent to me and had to order them from another company to finish my AR build. I will never order from Davidson Defense again.

I suggest everyone to read all the negative comments before you order from this company because it seems we have all had the same issues, I have never left a bad review on any company but I felt the need to after my experience, they will not answer any phone calls or emails and I ordered parts over 6 months ago that I never received. I still don’t know how this company is been able to stay open with the issues that customers have had but one thing they taught me was to read reviews before I order from anyone, I wish nothing but the worst for this company and I hope they get everything in return that they deserve, one last thing I think any rating over a 3 star review is fake there’s no way anyone had a good experience with this company

I ordered an assembled upper and a blast diffuser on April 19 2021.......... it is May 7th and my order has yet to be shipped. Further the tracking number supplied was for another order that was delivered to someone else in December of last year...... I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM DAVIDSON DEFENSE OR DELTA TEAM TACTICAL AGAIN.They are the worst company I have ever ordered from.

I ordered an upper in March. It arrived 3 weeks later. The railing on the top was not the size width throughout. I contacted them through email and it took a week to get a response. I was able to send it back. No one contacted me but I contacted them 2 weeks later for them to finally respond and tell me that they received it. Two more weeks go by and they did not respond to my emails or phone calls. This business has poor customer service. I just learned that they have 229 complaints with the BBB in the past 3 years. Please do not shop with them.

Their parts and equipment are well-made and arrive in a timely manner. During the pandemic, they take longer because of demand and backup of parts. I understand that and appreciate the great uppers they’ve built for me. Pistol uppers from other places have been unreliable. Theirs work flawlessly with my lowers in my builds.

Terrible customer service and an even worse experience. Ordered an assembled upper on the 17th of June, received my order unassembled about 10 days later. Sent it back to be reassembled and finally got it July 17th. Upon inspection the handguard does not match up with the upper receiver. Extremely long wait for something that was in stock and the website claims 5-7 business days to recieve assembled uppers. I wish I could talk to the owner about how their business is being run. Definitely wouldnt order from here when you can get the same quality goods elsewhere for cheaper.

I love this place!!!I have bilt 4 ar-15 rifles using mostly parts from DD-DT I have spent several thousand dollars with zero complaints.I have had two issues both of wich they resolved fast.They have answered every phone call, email and question I have ever had quickly and without haste.I have several friends I have recommended them to who have bilt .308 LR-308 Platforms who are pleased and my brother has built a .458 ar-15 with there parts with zero issues.I sent them an email about a barrel I ordered explaining how I was going camping this weekend and they actually expedited shipping my barrel will make it in time.I would recommend Davidson defense/Delta Tactical to anyone.

Terrible experience so far, placed an online order took over a week then my order was cancelled due to an error they made where it was priced too low. Then it’ll take another 7 days for the money to be put back into my account. I get things happen but when I emailed about it all I got was “we have the right to refuse, cancel at any time” not even a 10% off for having to wait that long could have ordered it somewhere else and got it in by now. But now I have to wait until the refund to order another upper. Thanks but terrible customer service. I build a good amount and was planning on using this company but I will take my money elsewhere.

Ordered a built upper because of the price. I guess you really get what you pay for. The upper would not release the BCG after firing and I thought it was a fault with the BCG but come to find out it was poor machining. There return policy is rather poor as well so now Im stuck with an upper that doesnt work): guess Ill go give PSA more of my money.

If I could leave less than a one star I would - terrible customer service. An older gentleman with a beard finally asked if I had been helped after standing in the store for 40 minutes twiddling my thumbs looking around for parts for a build. Got on the phone with a buddy and as soon as I did that they jumped up to help. The older gentleman was very rude and admitted to me they don’t keep track of their parts in the back so you have to place an online order and wait for quite some time for them to go in the back and find it. (Really?) Unorganized and very unimpressed. While waiting in the store I did research on their Uppers, and other various parts and they have terrible reviews, after going in there I have no questions as to why. Culture is a good indicator for how people operate and obviously here that’s no exception. Take your Money, Time, and energy down the road to Gunnies, or Ready Gunner. Much better service, people, and quality.

Ive used this company for the past 5 years and until recently they were a stand up and reputable company but that jas changed 100%.Purchased several items from them and also purchased their package insurance due to the high increase in lost /stolen items. Package arrived (damaged & late) and was missing items. I attempted to contact them for several days even requested a call back,you would think with such a large increase in on line business they would have live customer service representative to assist with any issues but they dont. I finally get a hold of them after 8 days and was referred to their insurance carriers which ALSO is a automatic system.. It has been 14 business days and I havent heard from anyone in the time being Im out of a few hundred dollars worth of items.. Why do we the consumer have to deal with their insurance carriers?I will never buy from them again..Sincerely a disappointed former customer

I have purchased several kits and parts, I always have been satisfied with parts and service that I continue to receive with each visit, it’s a great place to get more knowledge about each build and work with the friendly staff.

Will never use them again. Their customer service has completely diminished, as I have emailed and called multiple times even say on hold for 39 minutes before being hung up on. Package never showed up and I paid extra for their insurance and they apparently will not honor it. Please please do not use this company if you value your time and money because they do not.

Horrible customer service.When I ordered my upper it was “In stock” l, there was no wait time.I waited 20 business days and nothing, I called and was told that it would be longer due to COVID.(Covid is a year old to date, if they can’t adapt by now it’s over. But that’s another point)When it was finally mailed over one month later it was mailed to Denver.My shipping address was correct and confirmed.However the post office discovered the wrong label.Tried to call and no one is in the office—— EVER!!!!so I had to dispute with my bank and that’s a joke because it’s over 30 days!!!Don’t do business with them!!There are other companies that when they say “ in stock” they mean it.

Came in for the first time on Wednesday and Jay was awesome! He answered my questions for about an hour and then helped me buy two guns and have lots of advice. He then helped me the second day get the parts I needed and even went beyond and stayed longer than his shift was to finish helping me. He also let me know when not to buy something if it wasn’t really worth it or wouldn’t be the best for my gun best customer service.

Customer service answered my questions in a timely manner and my upper arrived 8 business days after order. I will defiantly shop here again!

I went in at 1:00pm, the store only had 3 customers. I waited for 30 minutes while they tried to find change for a $20 bill! I would have been in there an hour if another customer didnt let me cut in line to get to the dentist.

Love this shop. I bought a part online that did not work and they swapped it out no problem and even had a guy work with my to make sure the parts were the correct fit.

Despite all the bad reviews from the time i ordered it only took 19 days to receive my upper receiver but my only issue is that i wanna swap my handguards out with better ones and i cant seem to find the right sizef hex key to undo the screws other then that great quality on the upper

BUYER BEWARE!!!!! I would give negative stars if I could. Beware If you place an order with Davidson Defense then cancel the order the same day, you will NOT be be refunded the full amount. They keep a percentage and then when you dispute that percentage they threaten you!! Here is the email from a Davidson defense employee after I requested to get my full refund for the product that was canceled which should be expected. I called and cancelled order same day it was put in within minutes, the reason I cancelled order is because I needed to order a different product from their website so I just needed to cancel the order and reorder the different product I needed. they are claiming it wasn’t cancelled until shipped which was a lie then they claim I was refunded the same day I canceled which is another lie I had to wait 10 business days and still didn’t get my full refund. My financial institution has warned NOT TO USE DAVIDSON DEFENSE. They Scam for extra money. My bank said customers should not be charged for canceling an order...especially if it’s the same day the order was placed and order is not shipped. This is wrong and horrible customer service from Davidson defense.All that I wanted was for the order to be cancelled, get my refund, and place a new order with Davidson defense for the different product I needed..instead they refuse to give me the full refund for the order I canceled same day I placed it and now they have threatened me.Andy (Davidson Defense)I apologize for the inconvenience but since you cancelled your order within the shipping time frame, we are required to keep the 1.75% merchant fee that we are charged for a refund. I hope you understand why we have to keep this fee. If we had to eat the fee every time a customer changes their mind and cancels an order we would not be able to survive as a business. We hope you decide not to file a dispute as it costs us a minimum of $50 when a chargeback is filed and your chances of winning are very slim as the refund was issued the same day that we received the cancellation request. I apologize again for the inconvenience.

Want to leave -stars! Do not buy from them. Had to call to edit my order. It took 4 days to get through. Then I received an email a month later asking if i needed anything with a ha ha attitude. then I asked when my item will be shipped. They take 20 -27 business days to ship in stock items. It took 48 days to receive my order only after I called and yelled at 2 people and a manager. There are so many better websites out there. Dont waste your time waiting for things to show up in a month or 2.

I purchased a stripped upper from Davidson Defense, and it arrived damaged. It was sent in a bubble wrap ENVELOPE, not a box. The envelope had no visible damage, so I am wondering if they shipped a damaged part. I have tried to contact them by phone and email and have not received a response. HORRIBLE customer service. Now it looks like I may be stuck with this damaged part. They will be getting none of my future business. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

This review is not about the quality of their products, it is about the non-existent customer service for online orders. I have called their main number so many times and sat on hold for over 30 minutes and have never gotten through to anyone. I have an order made over 2 weeks ago and it hasnt even been shipped yet.Edit: costumer service has gotten a lot better. Now they have a call back system that is really nice if you have issue with an order.

The AR upper I ordered had a deep 1/4 inch scratch on the receiver, but overall it was still an excellent price. I ejected some rounds, but have not test fired the upper yet. The fit was good on the lower. I put a dedicated new bolt carrier and charging handle on the upper so I wouldn’t have to switch out the parts. The same with aluminum sights. The response I got about the shipping date was prompt. I would do business with them again. Their prices are very affordable.

Placed an order on 12/5/20 and they charged my account on 12/7/20. Product was listed as In Stock, still shows in stock to this day. Even got the Order Received email. Have tried a couple of times to contact them about the status, and they are refusing to return calls and emails. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE A SCAM!!!!!! I am reporting them to the BBB.

I would give Zero stars if that was an option. Their customer support is non-existent. I would not recommend that anyone make a purchase from this company. I have tried multiple times over the past week to get in touch with customer support to correct a serious order error, but you can’t get anyone by phone and they do not respond to emails.

Ordered a unassembled upper from them, uppers are easy to assemble right. First the barrel would not line up to put the hand guard on. Had to buy shims to get it to line up, not ideal. Gas tube would not go on barrel. Supposed to be .001 difference between the 2 but there was .005 difference. A lot of sanding to get it on. C clip was missing from dust cover so I had to buy another complete dust cover kit or wait to ship another clip. Dust cover rod would not slide over barrel nut either(never seen that before). Definitely not the fit I usually get when I assemble uppers. Interesting that you cant post reviews on their website and no way to really contact customer support. And as you can see from other reviews they dont respond.

I placed an order of 1 item with them on 10/18/20 and shipping label created on 10/20/20. The item still hasnt been shipped and its 10/28/20. Definitely will be going else where from now on.

Some of there products are decent but most are out of spec chinese knock-off parts. Ive been burnt on 2 out of 3 orders Ive made. They even charged me to return a part that was clearly a factory defect. Never again. Dont waste your time.

My son bought his first rifle at the gun show a few weeks ago at the Davidson Defense table and was impressed by the staff and the price of their AR rifles they sell.I got home and looked at the Google reviews and was a bit shocked by the bad reviews I read.A couple weeks later we were finally able to shoot it and after the first round down the barrel we were very disappointed. The case failed to eject and after clearing the chamber it wouldnt strip the next round from the mag. Not happy.We took the rifle to the store and I was ready for the staff to give us the runaround.THE EXACT OPPOSITE HAPPENED. At the door, a gentlemen met us and after explaining what was happening he immediately took took it and determined that there was a problem with the gas block10 minutes later he sent us on our way with the repaired rifle and a little something for our trouble. Nothing but impressed with how we were treated. He told us to go shoot it again and if we had ANY trouble with to call them and they would fix it.Sure enough, went to the local range and the AR functioned perfectly.Now I want one for myself and without a doubt, it will be bought from Davidson Defense.I highly recommend this place.

To add to my frustration I can’t get anyone to respond to my requests for status...and I have sent many requests once my order went beyond their shipping timeframe window they have posted on their site. I would try to submit for a refund but I assume they won’t respond to those requests either. They have a lot of my money and I have nothing in return to show for it. Scammers. They hold your order for weeks. Read their BBB reviews and ratings. I finally got sick of waiting. So requested a refund. They charged me a bogus 1.75% consumer fee. Do not buy from them, or their other list of names; omega manufacturing, omega tactical, delta team tactical. Just a horrible company that uses many faces to sell garbage.

I ordered 2 parts off of this site over a week ago. I received no email confirmation and decided to be patient. After I few days I grew concerned and emailed them via the customer service link. 4 days later, and Ive had no response. I called 5 times during their hours of business, and I wasnt able to get ahold of anyone. I even sat on hold for over an hour for one call. My account was charged, and the items I ordered were marked as in stock. As these are the last 2 parts needed to finish my AR build, Im becoming very frustrated and concerned. I ordered my other parts from a variety of sites, and Ive had only one issue which was resolved by one very quick phone call. Davidson Defense has so far been the worst company Ive ordered from, and Im very displeased by the lack of customer service. Im going to attempt contacting them one last time tomorrow, and if I cannot have this issue resolved, Im going to look into going through the BBB to get my money back. Personally, I would reccomend avoiding their site at all costs! This company seems to be circling the toilet bowl!

SHAME/SCAMive delt with this company before and had no issue. Hence why i ordered again.Plqced order on 10/18. Now its November. Wont reply to emails, or answer their phones. No contact, no product. Called my bank and got a full refund. Truly dissapointed
