Great company! Very impressed with their products and service. We use them consistently for new build, and remodel projects and have really enjoyed working with them. Fairly priced, and their installers do a great Job as well.Highly recommend!!

These guys did a $13,000+ tile job for us mid-2019. It was nothing but problems the whole time. They literally called us and asked us to pay more before the job was started (because their employee gave us too good of a price). Even if it is a great price, it was the price they bid, the price we agreed on, and had already paid half of the total price. I guess since we didnt want to pay more, they sent us tile that we didnt order, along with other problems. The install crew consisted of one guy, his wife and I assumed, their aging father. The main installer did a decent job, but when asked to replace one single piece of tile (that was clearly flawed), he gave my wife a LOT of pushback and reluctantly replaced it (but made sure to tell my wife that any more replacements [flawed or not] would be charged to us). When the project was complete, we noticed that our heater vent registers were either too small or too big for the openings. Not even close to matching the cutout of the subfloor! Again, it was a fight to get Old World Stone to get the installer back out. The installer finally came out and replaced a piece of tile to close the gap. However, that piece of tile is noticeably hollow underneath and clearly loose. Old World Stone would not return our calls to get the piece replaced properly. A few months after the install, MANY sections of grout have begun to pop out. Trust me, this floor is an INCH thick! It doesnt move! But, when attempting to contact Old World Stone about the issue, our inquiries were left unanswered. When watching the application of the grout, it appeared as though the installers wife did not have much experience. I just thought to myself, theyre the experts, and they should know what theyre doing. Apparently not! After the job was done and we were trying to get some of these items fixed, and we were told just fill the grout lines with caulk I shouldnt be the one having to fill the grout lines with caulk! I was hoping to get actual grout installed properly. All the while, we continued to get calls for final payment, even though they continued to say that they would get the installer to come out and take care of it (which they never did). We were told It’s a bit tricky to get the installer to go back up, because of time. Of course its tricky, but it still needs to be done! One early morning around 8 oclock, there was a POUNDING on our front door. Since my wife was home alone, she approached the door with caution. By the time she got to the front door, this individual had gone into our backyard and started banging on our back door. My wife was about to call 911, when she noticed that it was one of the Old World Stone employees that she had met previously...and she opened the door. He essentially intimidated my wife into writing him a check on the spot. Unfortunately, she was intimidated enough by having a man POUNDING on both the front and backyard doors that she felt she only had one choice...write a check. Since writing the check, the company hasnt followed up to fix the issues (not surprised). I hear these stories all the time, and many times, when it comes down to it, its the customer thats irrational, unreasonable and impossible to please. I know those customers exist. Trust me, were not one of those. We paid $13,000 to get a tile floor put in. I dont expect perfection, but I do expect to NOT have loose tiles and grout popping out within days of an install. And to get such a poor response from a company. So I guess if youre only installing $13,000 worth of tile, its not worth Old World Stones time to make sure their customers are taken care of. Even if I had to pay more somewhere else, I would. At least Id know the basics were covered and I wouldnt have male employees exerting intimidation tactics on a woman. We have been renovating our home for the last couple of years, and I have NEVER written a negative review on a company...if that tells you something. Sincerely, unhappy customer. They helped me with two big new construction projects; a five unit townhome and a 3500sq ft dental office. Skyler especially was so helpful. He is an AMAZING DESIGNER! He was also so patient and reassuring as I panicked and came back so many times to look at everything together and make sure we’d gotten it right. And we did get it right, it turned out so great! Also, the installers did a fantastic job (flooring, tile, countertops, carpet) All the work was done well and they were there when they said they would be!!! One of them even worked Thanksgiving day. I just had my carpet installed yesterday and I’m thrilled with how it turned out! The whole process was simple and painless. I literally made an appointment for that same week, walked in, told them what my issues were and what flooring I was hoping to find. Skyler pulled out a few samples that fit my needs, I got the pros and cons to each of them which helped me narrow down my choice. I selected the style and color I liked. Within 15 mins he gave me the estimate (including the demo of my old flooring), the timeline and walked me through each line item. After I made my decision, the materials were ordered right away. Skyler kept me updated with the carpet, and offered great solutions when there might be a potential, unforeseeable delay. I had to wait a few extra days but the carpet was installed beautifully and with minimal imposition to my home life. I’m thrilled with the look, quality and comfort of the carpet! It’s perfect! Skyler was great to work with. OWSI supplied and installed high quality materials for our house in the Parade of Homes. Skyler was especially great to work with when a third party on our house went over budget and when there were damages on the home from the Parade.

Skyler has an amazing ability to see the big picture when it comes to your home design and is invested in the overall outcome. A tile choice I had made was out of stock, he let me know an estimated delivery date as well as a dozen other options that worked with our homes’ design that were in stock and equally gorgeous as well as basically the same cost. The custom design for the tile and countertops in our home will make it inviting and functional for decades to come. All this OWSI has done during a pandemic where supplies are unpredictable (and with a client who works at a hospital...making myself a little stressed, difficult and crazy, they have been very professional-thank you ❤️).

I had a great experience working with Old World Stone! I was very impressed with their customer service. Nathan was my salesman and seriously goes over and beyond to make sure the customer is happy. Great communication! In addition, he patiently helped me put a design plan together for our master bath, which was so helpful. I loved the choices, displays and quality of their products as well. Recently did a tile project. Gave OWSI the dimensions of the room. They suggested an amount of tile . We finished the project with boxes and boxes of unopened and unused tile. We went to return some boxes of unused tile and they of course said they wouldn’t return them. Buyer beware. Go with a big box store that has a 2021 return policy.

I can’t even get over how much I love my new master bath! Skyler helped me pick out such beautiful tile that I never would have picked on my own, helped me get all of the contractors scheduled and everything was done with total precision and perfection.That worked out so well I decided to redo my entire upstairs flooring. I would highly recommend Old World Stone Imports if you need to replace carpet. We were sick of stepping on tack strips with our old carpet, so we decided to upgrade. Just keep in mind that carpet is expensive. OWSI is very competitively priced and they listed everything out for us beforehand so there was no surprise expenses (like at other stores). Skyler was so great to work with. I was overwhelmed trying to figure out what carpet to get. I told him what I wanted/was looking for and our budget. He narrowed it down to 3 different carpets to help the process not be so overwhelming. We took the samples home, then I had more questions so I went back and asked Skyler. He was happy to answer them. Then my husband had a few more questions, so he went in and Skyler was so helpful and patient with us.Go here and ask for Skyler. He is extremely knowledgeable about the products and made the process less stressful for us.Kevin was our installer and he did an amazing job! It looks so nice (and we have tricky corners and cuts in a closet). The carpet is so comfortable that my husband sleeps on it when he takes naps😂. I am very satisfied and will 100% go through OWSI again for anything we need in the future.

I wasn’t even considering this establishment, as I assumed by its name alone that what it had to offer was for the affluent among us. Boy, was I wrong! Old World Stone Imports in Orem proved to be very competitive, with a massive inventory. Plus I have to add, unlike any other stores I visited, I received immediate help and design expertise - before I even asked. I was fortunate to have serendipitously landed with Skylar. Does he know his stuff! I am so happy with the results. I absolutely love my new bathrooms - the most beautiful I’ve ever had - and all without breaking the bank.

These scammers ripped off my grandma and ruined her bathroom. She thought they were really nice when selling and then the install started. The floor tiles arent level or evenly spaced. And they created a 1high ramp going up so now the door needs to be shaved to close properly. Its like a 10 year old installed it not a professional company. Wish I could give negative stars.

Five years ago I would have recommended this company to everyone. However, we recently had a flood and had to redo our flooring and had such a negative experience. We went against our contractors advice and decided to go with Old World because of past experiences and it was to our detriment. The installer was very under-qualified in my opinion. The install job was sub-par for sure. He damaged our cabinets, baseboards, and molding. The flooring is not even and there are gaps between the planks.I am so disappointed in this company and just want to give everyone a heads up. Their show room is great but the final product is less than desirable for sure. Very unfortunate.

I looked everywhere to find an exact tile and was over the moon when I found it at Old World Stone. The costumer service I received was beyond exceptional. Kellie spent a lot of time helping me through my selection process, and when something didnt go right when picking up my tile, she bent over backwards to make sure I had my tile in time for my installers. She really is a huge asset to the company. I definitely recommend this company.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff. When there was a problem with one of my tile orders, they quickly informed me of it and resolved it so my fireplace could be finished without delay. They also gave me some good advice that saved me money. I’ll use them again for my next project.

Great selection and Fantastic help! We wanted something different and custom but didnt want to pay the enormous prices we were seeing. Bridget could read what I wanted before I even knew and brought out samples of even more amazing tiles and we used that as inspiration for a custom tile material and pattern. It was perfect for our project at an incredible price. My searching ended there and Josh was an incredible installer--professional, great attention to detail, eager to please, and fast! (The custom tile DID take a while to arrive so be aware of that if you special order.) They were all so good to work with from the sales help to the install. I will definitely go back for our next project.

I wish I would have come here first! I would have saved myself a ton of time and running around! Skyler was SO helpful. In 30 minutes we had my whole bathroom figured out from the paint, cabinet color, tile and grout. I will definitely be back!

I have worked with OWSI— specifically Skyler— on 3 separate projects over 2 years. Not only do they have an amazing selection but Skyler takes the time to really understand his clients wants and ideas. Plus he has great ideas and all the answers for when you don’t. He is very skilled, knowledgeable, and creative when it comes to knowing everything there is to know about Tile and carpet. If you are thinking about using this place because they are cheap, its because theyre cheap for a reason. Their professionalism and customer service is the WORST. If you dont mind them messing up the measurements (which were taken by the owner), having to plan multiple days that they say theyll come back and finish the job but then dont actually come so you have to rearrange your schedule and miss work multiple days in a row, then this is the place to come. I regret immediately working with them and wish I had gone somewhere else for carpet, since it was the same price as three other places we went to. The rest of our plans we had of using them are in the toilet, because thats how we were treated. I keep reading about how great Skyler was, but we went in multiple times and he was busy just sitting around (I could see him).

Our builder sent us to Old World to pick out our flooring and tile, and working with Skylar was amazing. Knowing that we were determined to stick to our budget in some areas, Skylar came up with the most creative ideas to give those areas a very custom look, without breaking the bank. In our master bathroom we decided to splurge a little, and the design Skylar came up with leaves everyone saying Wow. Its absolutely beautiful. I never knew I could love tile so much. I love every detail Skylar designed into our home. Each area he designed has something that I wouldnt have thought of myself, but it really makes the room. The best part is that Skylar is patient. We would often return with a slightly different idea of what we wanted, and Skylar graciously sat with us and replanned until everything was perfect. Old world came and feathered in some wood flooring for us in our Kitchen due to a remodel. I wasnt there when they did it but when I got home I could even tell where he new flooring started and the old ended.They also recarpeted our office and stairs and did a beautiful job!Our whole experience has been great with them from start to finish. Really professional and great at communication!

Beware of the fine print. I verbally told them what I can afford upfront. After install they charged me more. I guess verbal doesnt work with them. Read and understand what you are buying.

Unfortunately we didnt have a great experience with OWSI. Selection is great which is why I gave 2 stars, but too many surprise added costs that were not disclosed upfront. Even after we had ordered and paid for things we would get calls saying we owed hundreds of dollars more. If you are using them for granite/quartz counters, be sure to ask them to state up front all of the extra fees for the counter edges which also require additional material or you might get hit with an extra bill when you think youre all paid up. They didnt seem to understand their own ordering process when we bought our flooring and counters and we literally had to keep writing them more checks to cover things they missed and they wouldnt deliver our tile or counters until everything was paid for so not wanting to delay our basement any longer we just paid. Very unprofessional and it didnt seem like anyone there would just say hey this was our mistake, well take care of it it was always sorry but youre going to have to pay more money because we missed this. I will definitely not go back there, there are better options.

The service was great. They have a lot of varieties of tile. it was a little more pricey than other places I have gone. They also have wall tiles that are very beautiful. It had a big open area and marvelous displays.

After researching many different vendors, I found Old World Stone to be comparable price-wise, so it became a matter of which people and carpet companies I felt most comfortable with. Ben and Skylar were helpful and the installation team was great! Thanks so much!

The 5 stars are purely for Sklyler. Skyler answered calls and returned phone calls to us after hours. He made a personal visit to our home to see how pleased we were. I love the tiles and wood floor he helped me choose. When I wanted a soapstone countertop and couldnt afford it, he guided me to an affordable honed granite that would give a similar appearance. I would recommend working with Skyler if you use OWSI. Also, our bill was very close to our bid and he helped us stay on budget.

Katie was wonderful to work with. She helped me pick out our backsplash based on the look I wanted. I loved the fact that there were so many options to choose from. Anytime I had to go into the store to pickup something I forgot, the service was excellent and quick.

The measuring and quoting process was smooth and professional. They texted back promptly and were very easy to work with. The only reason we didn’t use them was because we wanted a special pad they didn’t carry, otherwise their price was awesome and we would have if they had it.

Selection is first class with many options. We were pleased with employee efforts to keep things on schedule and their willingness to make adjustments to our original plans when requested. I recommend them!

Dealt with Kellie Van Sickle who was beyond helpful with my quartz countertops and sink. She was knowledgeable about what to do and not do and how to keep them looking their best. Took the time to explain things so I could understand and enjoy my countertops for a long time! Thank you so much!

Old World Stone did he granite countertops in our kitchen and bathroom. They turned out beautifully and were a very reasonable price. Everything was fast and efficient. I will be back in the future if we need granite in another home!

I went in twice for the same purchase -- I tend to deliberate large purchases -- and both times the customer service was superb. Excellent. Fabulous. Both people who helped me were incredibly nice and patient, especially with my very wiggly 14 month old trying to, and succeeding at, running all over their show room. And offices. -_-The first time I went in I was overwhelmed by their selection, but a salesman asked me questions about my project and what I wanted and helped me find something I loved. When I went back to order, I had lost the notes that had the product information on it, but a saleslady helped me find them again. She even stayed an hour after they closed to get my order in.I will send everyone I know here and we will be buying all our future tile from Old World Stone.
