On a recent weekday morning I was in the plaza where this coffee place is located and popped in. The interior is cozy with a handful of tables as well as a counter plus several tables outside on the sidewalk. A good number of local regulars were enjoying their morning here.Glancing at the menu on the wall I saw that they offer toasts, bagels (and bagel sandwiches), and omelettes. I just wanted a hot coffee so ordered a vanilla latte but then spotted huge chocolate chip cookies in a jar so got one of those too. Actually they were more like chocolate CHUNK cookies. Fresh and delicious.My latte came up in five minutes. I knew something probably wasnt right when the barista called regular latte when my order was ready. The order slip with the to-go cup clearly said vanilla latte but after several sips it was obvious it was a good latte but not the faintest hint of vanilla. I was already in my car by now so didnt bother to go back in.Other than that misfire it seemed like a decent but average spot for a coffee.

Good bagels. Yesterday I had the sunrise special (pictured) delicious. Daily coffee refills for coffee of the day for a $1.00. Today though. Service slow because of busy hours understandable, but a simple bagel with cream cheese should not take as long as it did. Regardless still delicious.

Before I went to work, I went to this coffee shop to increase my energy level and be more efficient. The place was comfortable to take a rest, enough space, the tables and chairs were well arranged. Also, the coffee that the waiter used to serve me tastes amazing. Honestly, I liked it a lot. It was the coffee I was hoping to taste. The waiter was a bit too nice and informative. I loved a man like that. Great service, guy!

My favourite place to hang out and do my paperwork is this shop. I like this places coziness and ambiance. It was so quiet, calming, and not too crowded. The place where I love the most! Recommended greatly!

Tried the veggie hummus wrap and mango smoothie, both were tasty. The service was awesome and its a cute quaint place.

This is a great little place to grab a coffee with an awesome view of the hills and right behind a beautiful fountain. I got the panda coffee, very unique would definitely order it again!

I ordered the best and finest coffee they had when I came here. It tastes fine and its great. My heart has been captivated by their designs and furniture. This gave me an excuse to take some photos that could make my Instagram look classy and beautiful. Well, Im not going to forget that the crews were good and competent enough to meet my order.

Blended matcha pistachio was delicious! Glazer bagel with cream cheese yummy...😋😋😋 great customer services. Will be back soon!

Kinda bummed this is right by my work and I got very excited when I saw that they had strawberry lattes and I ordered one for like 6 bucks and got the latte and there was NO COFFEE in it whats up with that? Super disappointed😭

A good place to stop for quick friendly and good service. The sunrise special is my go to choice. The coffee is excellent as well. We usually stay nearby when visiting Orange County and this is a must stop a few times during our time out to see grandpa and grandma. Thank you guys!

They just put me on hold over the phone for over 25 min just for them to tell me they don’t have anymore bagels. Poor service or poor memory that they forgot I was on hold.

Small local coffee shop with good selection for breakfast and lunch. Staff is super nice, food is fresh. Can get busy so please be patient, they try to get to everyone as fast as possible.

Great coffee. veggie hummus wrap is tasty. so many good choices. havent had a bad time here yet. small place but you can sit outside in the shade. good place to people watch. plenty of iced coffee choices for hot days. wish they had donuts but that is not an issue. highly recommend this place.

Stop in recently for a simple breakfast and had a great experience. Had the triple espresso, it was good and has a perfect aroma and their Veggie Sandwich is a good complement for my espresso.The owner; Im guessing - was really friendly and nice to talk to. The employee was friendly & attentive too.

Here for my first time and love the small trendy feel. The barista was super nice. I tried the Brad Pitt with half and half and loved it! Charged for half and half though which I think is kinda strange otherwise a great experience!

Weve been going here for years. Coffee and food is great, owners and counter help are always friendly and efficient. Bagels are incredible. Music choices are fun too. Lots of outdoor seating near a fountain. Give it a try!

Just as the title says. The staff ensure your drink is excellent and are knowledgeable about coffee as well. The atmosphere invites you to stay for a chat, a book reading, or even a long study session. Dont forget to be patient when waiting for your order as these guys are creating a high quality treat.

I love this place but I’m tired of showing up 15-20 minutes before close and... they’re closed. I drive a decent distance just to come here and it’s really frustrating.Frozen hot chocolate is still the best blended drink I’ve ever had. Also love the cinnamon rolls.

Service and food are excellent but their Iced Americano is out of this world! I have one everyday!!!! I am always greeted with a smile and my husband and our three sons love going there too!

I love the employees at this place, always so nice and helpful. I come here and just hangout because I like to listen to the music while I surf the web. Plus, I like I can sit next to the fountain and hear that water, its very relaxing.

This is my first visit to the SOCO shopping area and I wish I had found it sooner. Interesting shops, great places to eat. Portola coffee is highly rated and the latte I had was excellent. One of the best I have ever had. I drink Starbucks coffee daily and this was much better tasting in an interesting and relaxing...

OVERPRICED!!! Everything on the Menu is at Least $1 over compared to Starbucks, and Im comparing it to Starbucks who are EXTREMELY Overpriced compared to the Average Donut Shops across Orange County who serve the Exact same thing with a less fancier name.Bottom line.Average Food/Above Average Price

I must of come on an off day for them. Service wasnt very friendly, average, but customers were cheerful and friendly. Completely out of bagels and most other items so ordered a breakfast burrito instead which was good.
