What a treasure! I visit a lot of local bookstores during my travels, and this one is definitely in the top 10 in the country that Ive seen. Picked up a few gems for the road. And yes, Im a grown man who enjoys folk lore and fairy tales!

Love me a local bookstore. I had thought they were gone forever, until I stumbled upon this gem. Great location and great store! Selection is wide, the kid area brought back memories of what I loved about my bookstore growing up. Such a great find!

Saying I loved my experience is an understatement! This store is so neat! Everything was very well kept and presented nicely. They also have a really fun childrens section in the back of the store. The staff members were extremely helpful and friendly, they even offer free gift wrapping. Definitely recommend, definitely going to return.

The staff in the kids room have always been great with their suggestions for her. They listen to her interests and we usually walk out with a stack of books, all of which she has enjoyed.This entire store is one of our happy places!

It was my favorite shop to slip away to for a while, then my kids found out about it and now they have to come too! Now I have to work extra hard to find time for myself there!

Love this place, you can call and they will pull your book for you and if you ever need help they are always available.

The bookworm has an amazing atmosphere and a great selection of books. The store also maintains a completely functional website where you can preorder books, browse what is available in store or can be ordered, and have orders delivered to your house.All that makes the bookworm a great local store. What makes it one of the best, is that when you walk in the door, no matter how busy they are, someone greets you and asks you if you need help finding anything. There is a section of the store devoted to childrens books with its own dedicated employee and cash register. While you can order online, you can also call in and the crew is willing to help you out and they dont ask have you checked our website or seem put off by the call.The Bookworm sets the bar for what a brick and mortar store should be. Great atmosphere, great product selection, and absolutely awesome customer service.

Im impressed with how they are adapting and weathering COVID. I ordered something sorta last minute for Christmas, and they had to call to let me know it wasnt going to make it in time (which is probably more my fault for ordering so late during the pandemic), but they were so professional and courteous in getting it figured out.

Great spot picked up 2 books

I loved The Bookworm. It allows pet visitors, and offers treats for both furry and human patrons. There is a selection of advance-copy books wrapped as mystery books, which adds a great deal of fun when looking for a bit of light reading. The childrens section is also lovely, with a nice selection of educational materials and play toys. I especially liked their admittedly expensive puppets available for purchase.

Loved the atmosphere and selection of this store. We went as a family and the kids section was great. They had recently had an author visit and sign a bunch of their books, they sold them for normal price which was cool. The staff was attentive, polite and asked questions before making recommendations.Great local hotspot for books and book lovers.

I love this place! Book clubs, employee shelves with referalls (Rachel always has good suggestions!), doggy treats, this place has it all. I love independent bookstores and this is one of the best. Great SF and fantasy selections, and an entire kids and YA book room. Easy to order online and a good frequent buyers club. You will remember how much you like brick-and-mortar bookstores when you go here!

Lovely independent bookstore. It’s so nice to see independents thriving. My son was looking for a signed copy of a Rainbow Rowell book (she’s from Omaha), and the staff made us feel so welcome and went out of their way to find what he wanted. My son said it was the highlight of the whole road trip!

This is my favorite Omaha bookstore it is locally owned . Has offered space to our book club free of charge for years. Has been helpful in suggesting books and procuring them. The staff is always friendly AND its pet friendly so your well behaved companion can also browse. They have a great selection of childrens books, puzzles, stationary and other gifts.. Great general fiction, mystery, and non-fiction sections if thats what youre looking for. The science fiction and fantasy section was small, but it had all the new releases I was looking for. Employees were all friendly. If youre looking for new books, Id highly recommend this store.

The Bookworm is a fantastic local bookstore. Huge selection of books, very well organized. The staff is warm and friendly, and the store is inviting and cozy. There is usually a plate of cookies out for shoppers, and dogs are welcome in the store too. Good hours and several events for a local shop! In addition to books, greeting cards, puzzles, and small gifts also available.

It was great. Bella Rose and I had our pictures taken with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus. They treated my puppy like royality, giving her treats and Lovings.It was all to benefit Heartland United no kill animal rescue.

I love local shops and this is one I have come back to whenever I need (or just want) a book. The staff is very helpful and if they dont have it, they can get it! They ordered me a couple books and I got a phone call only a few days later that they had come in.

This independent bookstore has a great selection for kids. The backroom is whimsical and offers more than just books. There are games, puppets, stuffed animals and other trinkets that children of any age could be delighted in. Definitely worth a stop to check out what they have available here.

The Bookworm has a friendly staff, a few gifts and unique cards with a local flavor, as well as quality paper/stationery. If its not in stock, theyll gladly find what youre looking for. While there are larger bookstore chains with more shelf space, the BW has great people and service and Im glad to support them.

Its a very cute local bookstore. It has a wide selection of books and various other things. It is a little over priced I feel like but its not horrible. Its also very cramped. I tried to walk around and felt very squeezed in the isles. Its a cute store though and everyone was friendly.

The Bookworm Omaha is a small to medium-sized independent bookstore with a good selection of childrens, middle grade, and adult level books. You can find many of the most popular releases and a selection of books from local authors as well. Moreover, the staff is kind and helpful.Author signings and book group events are held periodically throughout the year.This location was not their first, and this newer location is an attractive, easy to spot building.

I suppose for most people this book store would be good. The staff was friendly, the place was clean and everything was organized. Visually it was a nice bookstore. But I am typically only interested in science and technology related subjects and their computer science section was one tiny shelf with nothing beyond the basics of Ms office and windows. No programming books and nothing advanced. I was very disappointed.

The most adorable bookstore I have ever been in... went with my best friend and looking for books was so peaceful and still so much fun. one of my favorite memories!!!

Completely wasted an hour and a half of my life to pick up a book, after they charged my account for it, that wasnt in stock and they had no way of getting for the price they charged me. One would hope they would have a way to, oh I dont know, accurately determine whether or not they can get a book at the price theyre charging before having it listed on their site. Too bad they arent as eager to provide good service as they are to take my money.

The Bookworm is the only independent bookstore left in Omaha, as far as I know. They were helpful and even gift wrapped the book I bought.

Such acquaint and enjoyable bookstore, with a separate childrens section. I highly would recommend The Bookworm to anyone whether you read on a regular basis or only on a rare occasion this is a place that has something for all ages!

The Bookworm is the last of its kind. A local bookstore with great service. They have readings from local and national authors. Their kids section is thorough and there is usually an employee there to answer questions. They will gift wrap presents as well.

Really nice place, open and airy, not that many chairs to sit in if you want to read though. Also they dont appear to get new stock of anything except brand new books, Ive been back multiple times for over a year looking for older (within the past ten years) books by a YA author and they havent gotten anything new from that author at all. A bit disappointing.

Small town feel, they know us by name. Can usually get most any book requested. Nice assortment and little shopping extras that are great for those hard to buy for gifts!
