We had a very good experience with Abbey Capitol Floors. Kerry was very helpful in the showroom and addressed all of our concerns. Rob was very thorough upon coming out to measure, so I knew everything would be considered and theyd do a great job. We ordered the waterproof laminate planks for our kitchen, dining room, great room, foyer, half bath, and laundry room and everything in between (about 1200 sq.ft) and we ordered a super soft plush carpet for our sunken living room and a few stairs on either side. Both teams of installers did an immaculate job. Ive put in flooring myself several times and am a perfectionist about these things and I have nothing to complain about or nitpick. Perfect job all around and it has done wonders to improve our home and living space. Highly recommend!

I had vinyl flooring installed in my two bedrooms, and the process was a breeze. Everyone at Abbey (from my first visit to the store, through installation) was kind and knowledgeable. Getting Educated:My wife and I recently went on a quest to replace carpet for our golf home. Our backgrounds are in tech so we started by getting educated with in person, and online teachings from long term carpet distributers and installers. Don’t skip this step! Carpet is an expensive and long lasting decision, get educated. Next we visited multiple Big Box, carpet and discount stores. What we found was a large amount of partial or uneducated information, just a “buy this carpet” sales pitch. Our 2 weeks “to done “turned into “3 months” to done and I am glad it took so long.Purchase of CarpetWe finalized our decision on our 2nd visit to Abbey Carpets with Kerri our salesperson. No hard sales pitch but a lot of confirmation of our educational preparation. Their large selection, length of time in business, prices, installation team and professional manner were the best we found anywhere. We purchased two different kinds of carpet, one for 2 bedrooms and one for a 1000 ft2 basement.Carpet InstallationWe agreed to an install time about 2 weeks from purchase date. During our education we found that this is where things can go seriously wrong. Great carpet but installer has a week on the job. Our installer had 20+ years actual hands on installation and I have never seen anybody work that hard. He worked 2 ten hour days with a half hour break for lunch. His skills at prep, layout, precision installation was amazing. Example: Our stairs leading to the basement had previously been done with remnants that were unsightly, uneven and a trip hazard. He installed one piece of carpet top to bottom and it looks amazing.Get educated and understand what you get and don’t get unless you choose a local carpet professional.Thank you Abbey Carpets for an exceptional experience from start to finish.

Our sales person, Peggy Wright was very patient with us as we made this major decision. She spoke in glowing terms about their installers and their 30 years experience. Knowing the installation has a huge influence on the quality of the final product, we took her advice and bought wall-to-wall carpet from Abbey. We are so glad we did! The carpet is beautiful. We have nothing but compliments for Peggy, the schedulers, and the installers.

Abbey floors did 3 rooms in our house.The first room was our rec room.Lori helped me pick out the perfect carpet and the installationpeople did an awesome job.We then remodeled our bathroom/bedroom. We had our bathroom vinyl replaced. They did a nice job overall at a fair price. The installer caulked around the trim after reinstalling.

I was selling my house and needed to find and have installed a few replacement planks of engineered hardwood. When I went into their store I was able to find exactly what I needed. They ordered and installed everything exactly when they said they would. The job itself involved removing some trim and a toilet. When the work was done, besides the flooring being perfect, you couldn’t tell they had done any sort of reinstallation. The company was a joy to work with and I highly recommend them!

We purchased a Mohawk SmartStrand carpet from Abbey carpet and it was installed 2 weeks ago. When we went to vacuum it, the vacuum stuck like glue. The carpet is so thick the vacuum is suctioned to the carpet. When we called Abbey about this our salesman said: Yes, that is a problem with SmartStrand and that the Soniclean vacuum is recommended. This vacuum is $400 and has no attachments, so we would need 2 vacuums for the whole house. We purchased a Hoover with 7 adjustment heights (it had attachments and was not as expensive). It stuck like glue also (returning today). Appears we will either have to purchase a $1000 dollar vacuum (it will be tested at the store on Smartstrand carpet remnant) or go the Soniclean - 2 vacuum route. This is a well known issue with SmartStrand carpet. I would have expected the salesman to tell us about this. I guess he was more interested in getting the sale done than brining up anything that might hamper the sale.

Abbey completed two jobs, both near perfect. On time and excellent craftsmanship. Pleasant people that delivered. They seem like a local business that cares, not a huge uncaring corporate monster. BTW: it was carpet for entire master suite and a hard wood installation in a family room.

She helped me with my many questions and was very patient as it took me FOREVER to make my decisions. I was able to return to Olympia after a long absence, and undertook the task of remodeling my house. When you are new to an area it is a challenge to find suppliers of goods and services for a remodeling project that are knowledgeable, able to understand your goals and responsive to your desires. Abbey exceeded expectations by far. The quality of materials and especially of installation was exceptional. I have extensive experience with construction, but when the representative from Abbey Floors came by he made suggestions that I had not considered. These were good ideas and, though they increased the cost and delayed completion, they were adopted.Yes, it can be frustrating to wait for trades people, but understand that sometimes you have to wait for quality; Because Abbey is reputable they are in demand. And it is a lot more frustrating to have to live with a poor quality outcome. I speak from experience.

Abbey Capitol Floors did an outstanding job of installing carpet and vinyl in our older home. We were 100% satisfied with the installation of carpet in the main living area and the two bedrooms, and vinyl in the kitchen, two baths and rear entry (~1300 sq ft). It wasnt an easy job, but Abbey left it looking top-notch.

We bought mosaic backsplash for our kitchen counters from Abbey Capitol Floors & Interiors and had them install it just before everything shut down due to the pandemic. They had a wonderful selection, were helpful and courteous and the installer was prompt and thorough. When I had initially inquired at Lowes, they would not move an over-the-range microwave (or anything else) in order to tear out the old backsplash and install the new backsplash. But Abbey Floors was willing to do whatever the job required and did it well. We are most grateful.

Went into the Olympia location a few days ago to look for tile for my kitchen backsplash. One employee was helping another couple with what must have been for several rooms. We had brought in a sample of the granite that we recently had installed. We looked through their selection of tiles for nearly an hour and none of the other 3 employees that were sitting at their desks bothered to come and assist us. The women assisting the other customers never said a word to us oroffer to get someone to help us. One woman walked over the the tile area looked at us and turned and walked off. At that point we picked up our granite sample and walked out of the store. Obviously they werent interesting making a sale. I would give zero stars if I could

My new flooring arrived quickly and on time, was installed beautifully, and looks great! Weve had them for over a year and they have held up perfectly.

Renovations are not always very easy, however it was a pleasure to work with Dave and Abbey capitol floors.We were very satisfied with the result and plan to have some more work done with them in the future.

Lori was a delight to work with--helped with carpet choice a lot. Blake was extremely rude and not interested in solving problem. Installer at first didnt want to wear a mask, even though he would end up spending 2 full days installing carpet throughout our house and Im old and vulnerable to COVID. We eventually worked out the issue, thanks to Lori. Installer ended up wearing a mask. It was a difficult situation. While we worked it out in the end, I think stellar customer service would have seen them offer us at least a minimal gift card ($10?? $25?? Anything?). During COVID you would be wise to work out expectations well in advance since Abbey Floors was not following health guidelines, although maybe theyve changed their practices.

Got the tile here. Good service and knowledgeable staff. Better selection than big box stores and the price arent much different.

This is a wonderful place to buy flooring materials and have excellent installation. I recently had some water damage done from leaking plumbing in my dental office and it caused more destruction than a person would think. Dave was very quick to come out and assess the damage. He ordered the appropriate materials to fix the flooring and their installer, Alberto, did a fantastic job removing all of the damaged sub-flooring and fixing it again so the repair looks as good as new. I am really disappointed in Abbey Capitol Floors. After requesting a bid and being told that it was forthcoming, we waited an entire month for the bid. I called and followed up four times. On the fifth time, I was told that she was just too busy to provide the quote after we had already lost a month waiting. This was a very unfortunate situation, and we will unfortunately have to take our business elsewhere.

The person that came to measure was very helpful and reinforced my color decision. The crew quickly went about removing old carpet and installing the new one. I had two rooms carpeted, one wall to wall and the other an inset. I also had a stairway with a landing installed with a oriental runner. My experience with Abbey Floors could not have been better. Allison was so helpful with helping me choose carpeting but also so prompt in coming to my home to make sure the selections would flow with the rest of the house. The installer was such a pro. I would absolutely use this company again. The pricing was so fair, the service was not notch. You cannot go wrong with choosing Abbey Floors.

This flooring business has a very large selection of samples to chose from, and a friendly, experienced staff. We chose an Armstrong vinyl flooring for our kitchen. Abbey-Capitols installer was highly experienced and did an efficient and virtually perfect job of fitting it to the room. We appreciate the fact that they are honest, locally owned, offer products from U.S. manufacturers, and that they are good stewards of the environment. (The Armstrong floor they laid is virtually odor-free...no off-gassing.) We are now having them lay additional flooring in other rooms in our home. I can recommend them without reservation.

As always, Abbey Carpets was excellent. Allison showed a carpet that met our requirements and Amos did a superb installation. If you need flooring--carpet, tile or wood--Abbey is the best choice.

Total transformation! We did not think that changing from carpet to laminate would make that big of a difference, but it did.The bedrooms carpets were 12 years old, and the dogs did their damage, so it was just time. When deciding to switch to laminate, we researched, met with, and interacted with every flooring place in town, and for the most part they all seemed to have the same products.We decided on Abbey Capitol floors because of Allison Jordan. She was organized, she was prompt, timely, she listened, provided us samples, made the appointment, came out and confirmed room dimensions, provided some insight and different price quotes based on which direction we wanted to go, and ordered our flooring once we decided what we wanted.Carl (the install coordinator) came out and looked at the rooms to determine the job scope. We already removed the carpets ourselves which helped him provide guidance to us on how to prepare the sub-floor for installation of the three rooms. They delivered the boxes days in advance for acclimation to the house.The installers (Ron and Zak) are very experienced. We learned a lot of tips and techniques for floor installation and we are very confident in doing an install on our own if we had to. Overall, three rooms took a full day and a half. Two rooms were finished by the end of the day with one half of the third room left to finish. Ron came back the next day at 9 a.m. and was gone by noon.We saved ourselves considerable cost because we emptied the rooms, removed the carpets, and smoothed out the sub-floor high points down with a belt sander. (Love you tube) With us preparing the rooms ourselves, the cost was about $1,100 per room plus tax for 3 average sized rooms plus the closets. (We did not do the Master) Also, the flooring was ordered down to the last box. Almost nothing left. Super precise. We saved about a grand doing the prep.We would recommend to anyone who wants to have flooring installed, to have a plan for: Keeping pets out the way, rearranging the home for furniture being cleared out of the rooms, covering the floor for the foot traffic in and out of the rooms, power provisions for chop or table saw proximity (they set up outside on a tarp-lots of saw dust) a covered area outside for the cutting (under porch or quick shade) and they may need to use your bathroom at some point.We rate it four stars because we dont know what the state of the floors will be in 5 years, but for now, we can say we love our new floors!

Read good reviews so we decide to go look at this location for carpet for our entire home. The store was not busy but customer service was poor. One sale rep. walk up and said hi. We said we were looking for carpet and without a word she turned,walked away and never came back to help us. Two other people were working but did not offer to help. We looked around at carpet for about 10 minutes and then left. We will not be back.

Keri @ Abbey Capitol Floors is a joy to work with and incredibly helpful. I expected the pricing at this place to be the highest in the area given how much nicer their store and customer service is. I found their prices to be incredibly competitive and in many cases better. So why pay more at other places in the area? I recently used them for the first time to install Karastan carpet in two bedrooms. The install was super quick, the installers took the time to show me their process and even helped me look for potential trouble-spots (there were none, thankfully). They were in and out of my place in less than 3 hours. I look forward to working with them again on my master bedroom and great rooms next :)

It was very easy to do business with Abbey Capitol Floors. Allison was very helpful and gave me the best bid for the work I needed done, which was master bath flooring. Installation was on time, the job was done professionally, and the floor looks great. As part of the bid I had to have the old subfloor replaced, which means the old had to be cut out. I found significant sawdust afterward to clean up. Also as a result of the subfloor replacement, there was a loud squeak when stepped on. The installer came back and fixed the problem. Overall, I’m happy with the results.

It is been nearly 10 months later and the job isnt finished. Following is my initial review rated 5 stars, now 2 stars. Allison at Abbey Carpet and flooring was phenomenally helpful. I needed flooring immediately for a bathroom. I was expecting 10 guests for 10 days and I needed flooring prior to installing plumbing fixtures. And I wanted something nicer than standard. She has impeccable taste and she recommended an ideal product with the perfect pattern. Next she located the flooring and somehow had it on a truck in route to olympia the next morning and it was installed the next day. The fella that installed the flooring was a perfectionist. I could not be more pleased. Next I’m ordering flooring for my livingroom.
