Love this place for their cupcakes. So I decided to use their cake services for a renewal ceremony I was organizing. Very unfortunate that the cake was not tasty and it was not what I ordered. It also was very messy. I bought a foot of ribbon from a ribbon store online and they said that 3 feet was not enough. She said she had her husband looking for 2 hours starting at 8am. Funny most places dont open til 9am. You tell me at 8:30 at night via email the night before I am to pick up the cake, that you do not have enough ribbon. A phone call was the least they could have done. When I informed her that the cake was NOT strawberry champagne, she tells me that she ensured it was and that the flavor must not have came through. The cake was the exact same as the bottom layer which was vanilla. She tried to shame me for how I informed her about the cake mishaps by saying that her team went out of their way to look for ribbon and that she gave a cake rotating plate for free which needed to be returned. I didnt even need the rotating cake plate. I needed a replacement ribbon added to my cake, I needed better communication and I needed some type of solution for not having a tasty cake, yet alone a strawberry champagne cake that I was supposed to get. The cake lady was on the defense when I got her call the morning of the event that the cake was not completed because of the ribbon issue she emailed about 8:30pm the night before pick up. I made light of the situation because I wasnt going to let ribbon ruin a great day. She was defensive by saying they charged you less then they should have for the cake. That was not my issue. I do not work for you and I do not quote your cakes. It was very unprofessional. I do NOT RECOMMEND using the cake service, but definitely stop in for some tasty cupcakes.

So yummy!! Lots of different flavors to pick from. Was surprised they had so many late at night. Raspberry chocolate was the best. Cream cheese frosting on red velvet is the perfect combo. All were moist and fresh. Well worth the 40 min drive from Clearwater!

Had a last minute need for cupcakes for my boyfriends 29th birthday. I was hoping to get something golf themed and quick for the next day. Small cakes was so helpful and got the job done. They gave us vanilla chocolate and chocolate chip cupcakes, made it the perfect day! Oh, and the cupcakes were amazing, everyone could not stop saying how delicious they were!!

Smallcakes was excellent to work with! They did some cupcakes for my sons birthday as well as some additional cupcakes for us. They were very responsive, helpful and the cupcakes were delicious! Everyone at the party kept asking where they were from- they loved them! I would highly recommend Smallcakes and will definitely be back!

In the words of my little one “It’s not a good cupcake shop. It’s a GREAT cupcake shop!”Perfect little gem! And you must try the apple pie ice cream!

Update - AGAIN tried to order and yrt again they couldnt fulfill our order. Thats just bad business.Placed an order for a dozen cupcakes through Ubereats and almost every flavor was sold out over an hour before closing. Very poor service to not have the majority of your menu available. Just close early at that point...

I ordered 3 dozen cupcakes for the healthcare workers caring for my parents. Delivered on time and the staff were over the moon happy. Very pleased because I ordered from NC and they made it happen for me.

I ordered 12 cupcakes for a birthday party I was having. I called them the same day as the party and they had a great assortment of flavors. I tried the wedding cake which was very moist and good. Everyone raved about each flavor.

Not bad at all. We used to go out to Sugardarlins, but that was a hike for us. Smallcakes is our new local favorite. Definitely taking safety seriously, has a makeshift baracade of tables inside. :)

Super friendly and helpful and let me try a bunch of their homemade icecream! They were all amazing but their goat cheese and rose ice cream was really something special. I ended up getting two cupcakes to go, birthday cake and fudge and I wasent disappointed! Will definitely be back!

I called late almost closed and Camille answered.I wanted cupcakes delivered to my daughter for her birthday. I live in Arkansas and she got it done.She gave me instructions for delivery and selected an awesome variety of cupcakes!My daughter said that it was something special.

Fantastic spot for dessert. I didnt want one originally but after my boyfriend gave me a taste, we had to order another for home. Absolutely delicious. I just wish they had smaller ones so I could try more flavors without committing to a huge cupcake

5 stars!!!! I am from Chicago and was in town for the holidays. My daughter and I popped in (because we LOVE Smallcakes back home) and the cupcakes were amazing! Definitely recommend it!

By chance, I stumbled across Smallcakes with 2 colleagues today, and b/c cake is one of my favorite foods, I was elated! My excitement was furthered by the As Seen on The View sign on the window. I walked in and immediately began explaining to the only employee in the store how this was my very first time visiting, I didnt even know they were there & how happy I was. The associate, Destiny didnt acknowledge that excitement nor anything I said at all! She was very dry, had no customer service skills whatsoever and really dampened my experience. I did sample one flavor of ice cream and she did advise that the cupcakes were baked fresh every morning. I was intrigued by the banana snickerdoodle cupcake and purchased it. It was too die for! So much so that I went back to purchase 2 more a few hours later. She was just as dry my second visit as well. Its almost like shes not interested in being there. Maybe its just my love of cake, but Id be excited if I offered such a quality product to the public. Id love to use them for my baby shower but would hate to have to continue being served by Destiny. 5 stars on the cupcake tho!

The almond cake with the almond buttercream is out of this world. I mean fabulous. I want a bucket of the almond buttercream. I want to put it on everything I eat. Eggs, hamburger, tacos, its awesome.

Small cakes is great for work events and parties. They have a great variety so everyone is sure to find something that they like. The packaging is great and keeps everything separated. The flavor is always amazing. I highly recommend!

The customer service is beyond terrible. The new management, Bryan the general manager was so rude and unprofessional with its staff. They all looked miserable and sad for obvious reasons. He’s disgusting. The cupcakes taste like they were atleast 5 days old, I’ve had better but I will never come back because I don’t support this kind of behavior. I will also be reaching out to BBB to report his conduct and treatment towards his employee. In addition, the amount of flies is unsanitary.

We were picking up dinner next door and spotted smallcakes. Wow what a selection of cup cakes. We could not decide so we left with a six pack. The more you buy the better the price. We were just at sprinkles in Hyde Park and Smallcakes is hands down so much better, fresher and almost half the price. Worth the drive. Looking forward to next time.

Cupcakes were ok. Overpriced $12 for three and my boys did not eat the icing as it was too sweet and cake was dry.... Went last year and the quality was better. Will not go back.

Wow! What a disappointment! I have been to a few gourmet cupcake shops and my fiancee and I love them! I was excited when I ran across this place. So I stopped in so I could surprise here. I was a little surprised at the price, but you get what you pay for. Right? Wrong! If you are going to open a $4.00 a pop cupcake shop, your cupcakes should be better than walmarts.

Cupcakes were good, but making an order was complicated. I was told the flavor I wanted was specialty and Id need to order minimum of 6. When I called back to do so, the lady asked me if I wanted to split flavors. I told her I didnt think I could but suggested a second flavor. They called me back and said they could only do the one. When I picked them up, it was a split of the two flavors. Obviously they are not all on the same page. Dont trust them with any special or important orders or you could be disappointed.

Got a classic chocolate cupcake with the pink frosting and there was a hair in it. The employees should be wearing hats or hairnets to prevent this. It’s disgusting...

I’d recommend this place closes at 8:20 or earlier because it’s obvious the staff does not want to be there later than that. The cake smash is good and a great idea and that is the only thing about this place that deserves even one star. The one person behind the counter is super dry and not friendly, so much that my 7yr old asked if he made her mad. There’s 3 cupcakes on display and 9 empty trays. Why? I’ll bet they look awesome and someone spends a lot of time making them, show them off. Also, don’t ask any questions here or youll get your feelings hurt but be careful the ice cream menu is confusing because the names of the ice cream are on a chalk board away from the ice cream cooler so you’re just supposed to know what “crazy zoo cookie” is. Parking is not great to get a family of 5 in there but that’s not their fault. The place is a quiet as funeral home in there..no radio no tv no anything...it is a zero fun zone which seems wack for an ice cream/cake shop. Real bad experience all together. I don’t write a lot of reviews but I manage a retail store and would want to know if this kind of thing was happening at my place.

I’m new to the area. I was psyched to find a cupcake shop near me. I purchased two cupcakes (expensive, but beautiful). One had a buttercream frosting, the other, cream cheese, I think. While the cake was moist and delicious, both frostings were disgusting with an artificial, strange aftertaste. I looove frosting, but I ended up scraping it off. My husband is a chef and I sold cakes professionally a few years back. I know good cake, and I didn’t get the whole experience. I’m only adding this review in hopes that the owners will take a look at their recipe and fix it.

There was a lady at the front desk that was just so intolerable she shouldn’t be working in a place that involves family’s and sweetness and kindness she was so bitter if she is so unhappy to take it out on customers her additude was very demanding and rude I felt like I was doing something wrong just by ordering in a place that is a family place her mood reflected on others this wasn’t the first time I went she had the same behavior all 3 time I been living in Oldsmar for 20 years and never experienced rude customer service like I did

Sorry to say, but in my familys opinion, these are unreasonably overpriced cupcakes that are inferior in taste to Publix and whats worse, made one of my kids throw up and the other develop a rash, which does not happen to either one from any food.
