I really appreciate the honesty of Jon. I do not know a lot about cars, but he did not take advantage of my ignorance. He could have charged me for something I didnt need, but he assessed my truck and told me advice on how to fix it without having to pay him for it. Ill be taking my truck back!

This shop blew me away today. Last fall, they replaced the water pump on my husbands vehicle. Fats forward to this week, he noticed that water pump was leaking so we brought it in to Christie and Jon. You could have knocked me over with a feather when Christie called me today to say that the water pump was indeed faulty and that they had replaced the water pump free of charge and it was ready for pick up. That simple. That honest. No hassle whatsoever. Im very impressed with how nice the crew at Key Discount are and would recommend them to anyone looking for an honest repair shop.

Key Discount auto has the best mechanics around! The entire crew was extremely helpful and informative when our car window regulator broke in our Sonata. In less than 12 hours after we called, the crew had the part delivered to the shop and were ready to install the new regulator at an amazing price!!! In addition they checked on our engine, touched up fluids, and answered some other questions we had about the function of a Sonata. They’re very informative and extremely good at their job. We’ve found our mechanic for life! Thank you guys again for doing such a wonderful job on the window at such a great price, we will be telling all of our friends that Key Auto Discount has the best mechanics in town!

They’ve done a good job on everything I’ve agreed to replace. BUT refused to replace individual components on the exhaust system, only because “it comes as a complete assembly”...despite they claim to do custom exhaust work. I have mixed feelings cause another shop took the job without second thoughts and replaced catalysts and mid pipes with a decent outcome for a fraction of original quote. This is a good shop but know your stuff and do your homework before agreeing to any bigger repairs

Had the crew at Key Discount do an exhaust system on my brand new truck.They were very friendly and took the time to go over what I was looking for to make sure it came out the way I wanted. Upon picking up the truck I crawled underneath to check it out and wow such a great job with everything it looked like an OEM exhaust. Piping tucked up nice, very clean welds, and had it exit exactly the way I had explained I wanted it. The service was outstanding and the pricing was more than fair. I cant recommend them enough. If you need exhaust this is definitely the place to go!

I highly recommend Key Discount. My family has been going to them for years and now, living in Saint Pete, I still drive the 30 minutes to get my car fixed here. I havent been able to find another mechanic that I can trust. Jon, especially, is consistantly professional and knowledgeable, but above all the reason I go here is because they are trustworthy. There have been several occasions where I have taken my car to another mechanic for time or proximity reasons and been told I needed thousands of dollars of work done, only to take it to Key Discount for a second opinion and have Jon tell me thats not the case. They never try to upsell me or take advantage and I have never had issues after a repair. I have no personal affiliation with them, just want to highlight a business I feel is fair and always does high-quality service. In a field of work where it is easy to take advantage of people to make a dollar, I want to make sure make sure that their high moral standards do not go unnoticed or unappreciated.

I was extremely impressed with this business. I dropped my car off last night and by 10 am this morning I was already contacted by the mechanic that my car was finished. Granted I only had a minor/minimal repair - the communication was amazing, the staff are extremely professional and friendly. VERY TRUST WORTHY AND HONEST. Its hard to find that in todays age. When I told my garage in Central NY that I was moving to Florida and taking my 2007 Subaru with me they told me “Good Luck finding someone who will work on your Subaru!”. Well, that wish of Good Luck panned out in my favor.I was referred to Key Discount Auto by my new neighbor, and I could not be happier with my NEW garage. They diagnosed my problem and called me with the estimate the same day I brought my vehicle in. And after my repair was complete I received another call to say it was done. One week later they called again to just to follow up and ask if everything was working well for me after the repair. Excellent customer service, excellent talent in the garage and at the counter.Don’t hesitate to use this garage for your auto needs.

I found great people that know helping others without strings attached is the best way to recure business. These guys are going to tell you how it really is, not try to trap you based on fear of 1% probabilities. Truly a refreshing experience when there are enough negative aspects all on its own during car repair.

Expedition reviewI took my 2003 Ford Expedition to Key Discount in Oldsmar on 11/06/2019 to estimate a coolant leak that was visible at the thermostat. I also asked for an estimate for the front end noises which I had previously estimated at a local Ford dealership.After a few hours they called and asked me to look over the estimate which they emailed. Total was $2,693.13.The “urgently needed work” was: replace heater control valve $98.50 labor and $48.06 part, replace intake manifold $581.15 labor and $467.72 part, serpentine belt $29.55 labor and $38.60 part and 3 gallons of coolant for $99.00.The front end estimate was to replace ball joints and front suspension $394.00 labor and $474.80 upper control arms, $177.56, and alignment $85.00.I trusted this and said to go ahead and do the urgent work but not the front end. After asking a few friends about this estimate while the work was to start, I learned this was quite pricey in the opinion of several knowledgeable friends so I called and spoke to Nancy, who said she owns the shop. She told me the intake manifold was cracked (the truck never had overheated even once so I am still wondering how it cracked if it did). We got onto the topic of spark plugs and she said while the engine is all apart they could try to change those and I told her that #3 had a helicoil and to not mess with that one. I also told her about coils that had been replaced and the #1 plug. She said $90 in coolant was just over estimating and was likely not going to be that much.After noon on 11/08/2019 they called to let me know the work was complete and the total is $1,448.33. I asked if they did any of the plugs and he said no. But now he said I need to get the head removed and machined because the helicoil was not installed right..somehow it worked before they worked on the truck..I paid with my credit card and when I drove away I immediately noticed how the engine was now much louder and now has a vibration that it did not have before I took it in.I deliberately am not using emotional words here, just facts. You can judge for yourself.
