I cannot believe how many good reviews this company has - our recent experience was SO vastly different. From reading through reviews, it is apparent that this company treats customers with Home Shield Warranty differently than other customers.Our AC broke on Sunday 4/25 and a technician came out on 4/27 and said that it was “either the control board or the motor.” Our landlord uses a warranty company so AC Doctors warned us that it might take a few days for the part to come in - totally understandable. On Thursday they called us to schedule for the following Monday (5/3). We called Monday morning and confirmed our 12-4 appointment window but no one showed up nor did they call to cancel. The office closes at 4 so we also couldn’t reach anyone. When we spoke with Desiree on Tuesday she said that she called our landlord (she did not). She also said that they couldn’t service us that day either because the part was in someone’s truck and he was off that day - no one could go get the part from his truck either. This was day 9 without air. So then on Wednesday another technician came out with a new control board, replaced it and then said it was the motor that was broken. The first tech identified that it could have been the motor but he did not order that part so then we had to wait for the part to come in as well. On Thursday we were told the part would arrive at 3:00 but they couldn’t get to us until Friday from 12-4 (day 12 with no air).I completely understand the wait time for the parts, that is not the fault of Air Doctors. What I do not understand however is 1. The technician not ordering both parts after telling us it could be either, 2. The technician not showing for our scheduled appointment and no one calling to notify us of this, 3. Desiree lying to us about contacting our landlord when confronted about the lack of communication, 4. Having to wait an additional day because the guy who had the part was off that day (why wasn’t the part returned to the shop since he didn’t make our appointment?), and 5. Being put off for another 24 hours after the part arrived - you would think after all of this company’s mistakes they would find a way to squeeze us in.The service was absolutely unacceptable and if we weren’t renting and at the will of our landlord we would have found another company along the way. 12 days without AC is far too many in Florida.
I have to agree with other comments who went through this company solely based on having American Home Shield. You are not treated the same as others. We have had 2 appointments in the same week to fix and issue they never fixed in the first place and both times the 4 hour window they set meant nothing. And not only did they miss the 2nd appointment on a Friday afternoon, now they cant get to us until Tuesday. Living in FL during the summer with no A/C is unacceptable. If I could write a worst review I would but like is too short. I would be cussing every other word! Save yourself and dont use this company.
Marcos, the technician was timely, professional and went above and beyond his calling as a technician. He diagnosed and explain the how, why and what was going with the A/C system with no hesitation. His professionalism and know how was like getting the tech, the manager and owner all in one. Hes definitely an access to the company. Yet again another Disaster with this contractor due to a contract with American Home Shield Warranty. ( which has its own set of issues and poor customer service as well )I was forced to use this company and had an appointment on June 30 . After much hassle and frustration and 3 appointments later as more than a week without AC, on July 8, Marty finally arrived and replaced the motor and fan blower . He was pleasant, gave a courtesy call and had the equipment needed to do the job ! Hope it works!Still haven’t heard from James - the supposed - supervisor- ownerSave yourself the hassle - If you have American home shield warrantyAsk for anyone other than AIR DR !!!! This company is disorganized, dishonest, disrespectful.
We had used air dr for several years and had been happy, then in 2017 they sold us a new AC system and from that point in their service has been sub par. This past weekend, we had an issue with our 4 year old unit so I called for repair and we never heard back. Sadly, we will no longer utilize This company.
Very bad with American home shield, took 3 days for them to replace a fan blower, tech call out so I have to wait another day, they give you a 4 hours window and tech comes very late, so you have to miss work, sleep hot. They are the worst company so far, I am thinking American Home Shield does not pay them good, bc we get the WORST OF THE WORST
Filled a claim with my home Insurance Company because my AC unit had been vibrating violently and then stopped working. Air Doctor was assigned and were quick to call me and came out promptly. Service Technician Marco was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional and was quick to diagnose the issues. Parts were ordered and Marco returned for the install. My blower wheel was completely stuck to the motor shaft but Marco was able to do a superb job removing the stuck blower wheel from the shaft by cutting the old wheel that needed replacement off. Got me up and running and now my AC unit purrs like a kitten!
This Company is to be complimented on their choice of employees...Dezarray called to set up the appointment...very pleasant upbeat and reassuring. Danial the tech called a 1/2 hour before he arrived, he showed up on time, Danial was very professional and understood the issue. Danial then went to work, and as he was working he was taking the time to explain the issue. Which we really appreciated. Very good experience with this company due to their staff. I have a Home Warranty and the Home Warranty company sent the initial request for service. Dezarray responded immediately and set the appointment up. It is so refreshing to deal with a company that response and does exactly what they said they were going to do. Highly recommend this company....
The good people at Air Doctor once again saved the day. The first time was about 8 years ago when they first installed my old worn out builders grade AC systems with a 16 SEER units. The savings just in electricity was at least $200 a month. With that kind of savings the units literally paid for themselves over the years! Last Friday my smaller ac system quit working. I made a call to Air Doctor and was scheduled for the following Monday. I was fine with that but the team at Air Doctor called back and stated one of their techs came available and said he could be there within 2 hours. 2 hours later, as promised I have a friendly tech at my door. He trouble shoots and has the AC fixed within an hour, on the day I called. The entire transaction was perfect from the initial scheduling, repair and follow up. I always try to use local businesses when ever I can and Air Doctor is my go to for Air Conditioning.
Best company Ive ever used quality is an understatement. These guys know how to diagnose quickly and efficiently repair. A+ from me.
I had this company come out to detect a leak in ac system where my roof was collapsing. The AC tech stated there was no leak in the area. Another ac company was able to detect the leak within 5 minutes of getting to my house. My ceiling collapsed due to the poor diagnosis by this company and they should stop doing sloppy lazy work.
I live in downtown Tampa and was provided Air Doctor as my contractor by American Home Shield. The job would have been a simple AC drain flush, the float valve did not pop up and there is a water leak so I am not sure if it is more complex. I am an actual Doctor and it is very difficult for me to be home before 4 pm. Apparently Air Doctor does not work past 4 pm. I made arrangements to be home by 1-2 pm yesterday 1/7/21 for the 1-4 pm window however the contractor called me around 11:30 am and said they were finished earlier and would not be coming back out to Tampa.Again today 1/8/21, I was called around 11 am by the contractor who specifically asked me what time I would be home by and that they would accommodate me. I stated I would be home by 2 pm. I was home by 1:30 pm. The contractor assured me he would meet me at 2 pm however no one showed up, I called Air Doctor and the dispatch told me that the contractor was done for the day and since it is cold outside there arent many calls and they wouldnt be coming back out. Then why waste my time telling me youre going to meet me at 2pm? This company is a joke and unprofessional.If youre running a business lucky enough to survive the pandemic, I would assume you would do everything in order to keep your customers happy. It is shameful you cannot provide at least some level of courtesy for hard working healthcare workers. If you did, maybe your rating wouldnt be 2.3 stars on the Better Business Bureau either.
They came here three times and were not able to fix the ac . Kept aying they are waiting for a part for several days. We were out of ac for a whole week. The worst company to deal with.
We have used Air Doctor for the regular maintenance on our AC. The techs were always professional and informative. Recently, we had the air ducts replaced and a few new vents installed by this company and we couldnt be happier with the result. Both guys were very efficient and went right to work, completing the job in about three and a half hours. They cleaned up the work area and left everything as they found it.The improvement in the air quality is very apparent, and even one of our dogs noticed the difference and was sniffing the air as soon as the tech started running the system through the new vents. I would highly recommend Air Doctor! Thank you

Horrible horrible customer service and rude. I got this company through my home shield insurance..I have been dealing with them for three weeks and my A/C still no fixed. Their technician never showed up on time. If the window frame is from 8am to 12pm they will show up at 2pm. Not only they show up late but they don’t know nothing about their job... They send me tow technician and they couldn’t find a leak, I higher different tech from another company and he found a leak In 10 min. When you called to complain no one would respond to you and if they did respond they are super rude.Please do not waist your time and money with this company. I feel bad giving them one star because they don’t deserve it.
Dispatch doesnt seem to care. Forced to use this company through American Home Shield, took 2 days to get someone out and after finding issue told we had to schedule repairs with Dispatch. This started on Tuesday and its now Friday, being told earliest available may be Thursday. This company doesnt care and my recommendation is to keep looking...
Edward responded to my AC unit which had shut down because the pan was filling up with water. He said it may be a restricted air filter so I brought it to him and he said it was dirty. Looked okay to me but no big deal. He proceeded to clean my reusable filter and I was shocked that it was that bad. I had been vacuuming it but he used a cleaner and a garden hose to spray it down. Im so glad he took the time to explain every thing that he was doing. He was easy to talk to and such a gentleman. Its been a week since he came out and he was right. A dirty air filter shut my AC unit down. Air Doctors is lucky to have a technician like Edward!
My original AC install company had been bought out by another large local company who then signed me up for maintenance. Well when my AC motor broke they refused to honor the MANUFACTURER warranty and wanted me to pay over $1000 to get the part replaced. My mom suggested i call her company, Air Doctor, so i did. Right off the bat, Desire was totally amazing and got back to me instantly with quotes. She also said they would absolutely honor a manufacturer warranty and even checked the serial number to confirm that it would be covered while i was on the phone. Chris was out the next day and he was GREAT! Got everything installed within an hour and was incredibly kind and helpful during the process. They saved me a ton of money since i only had to cover labor and gave me top notch customer service. I will never go back to that other company again. Over 2 months and 5 appointments American Home Shield and their contractor Air Doctor have not only taken my a/c from not working well to completely broken. My ceiling is damaged and my power bill has been an extra $100+ a month. 🤬🤬🤬 They have NO customer service! They also like to have you take time off work and then cancel last minute. Then they tell you that you have to pay overtime if you want them to come on the weekend. There should be negative star rating! Yes, I am contacting a lawyer!
Worst experience ever. 3 weeks to repair and install a coil? Give me a break. The technicians set certain expectations that were never met and the support staff really made me feel that they could care less. I was forced to use them due to my home warranty though American home shield and I would suggest using neither of them. I would encourage anyone that needs prompt service to look elsewhere. Just about everyone has the same prices and discounts. What separates the best companies are their service and follow through
This place is awful! I rarely leave reviews positive or negative but this is absurd. We just moved to the area and had no choice but to use them as our warranty. After the first supposed “fix” we were down again in 24 hours with 2 young kids in the heat. Best part...holiday weekend so who cares right?? Sure hop their kids are cool and comfy. Rip off! Not sure if Air Doctor or American Home Shield is worse. What a disaster!

The attention to detail was amazing. The owner, Jim came over to my house and went over everything that I needed to know about my new air-conditioner and all of my options. We had Air Doctor install our new AC system, and we subsequently purchased a maintenance contract. They are knowledgeable, professional and fair. I liked them so much I recommended them to my son, who also appreciates their service. Recently Chris W did major maintenance to my sons AC while he was out of town, so I supervised the service - LOL. Chris did a great job, and the service was completed in a shorter time frame than I expected - great!

Ed from Air Doctor was outstanding! Another AC repair company told us the entire AC unit was broken and needed a complete replacement.Ed quickly diagnosed the issue as a bad wire to the compressor and had the AC working within 30 minutes .
We were having issues with our a/c unit. We contacted American Home Shield and they sent a claim to Air Doctors. Someone from Air Doctors contacted me very quickly and scheduled someone to come out the next morning. Jack arrived timely and did a great job. He found a leaky valve that two other companies missed. I also appreciate Jack being honest with me. I was very hesitant because of a previous incident I had with the company Air Zone . They showed me a photo of dirty coils that didnt belong to my a/c unit and wanted to charge me $1,300. Scam.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANYThis company is a fraud. They were sent to my residence to evaluate a problem with my air conditioning through American Home Shield warranty. The employee came to my home and never looked at my systems and advised me immediately that both units needed to be replaced. The one unit had a clog somewhere and the pan under the unit was filling with water. He gave me a price to replace both units which was absurd. I asked him to fix the clog as he was sent her to complete. He went back to the garage while I remained inside to handle other contractors that were performing work. He came back into my residence around 20 minutes later and stated the work was complete. I was able to free up from other work and checked the status of his so called repairs which he didnt fix anything. The pan under the unit was full of water and the line was still clogged. Ive called the company multiple times to speak with a manager and one will not call back. The lady answering the phone was rude and told me to call American Home Shield to deal with the issue, when in fact it was there company that caused the problem. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!Since I cant reply to your entry, Ill edit mine.First off, I would like to thank you for finally replying to my concerns. Ive made multiple phone calls to your company asking for you to contact me, so we could discuss this matter. This is not a deceptive review, as you are contracted by the warranty company to perform work. You were sent to my residence to investigate a mildew smell and a possible clogged drain line is a correct statement. Prior to your technician even looking into any problems he immediately told me that I needed to replace both units for a cost of $15,000. I advised him that I would like to have other companies evaluate the problem and wished for him to deal with the clogged drain line and empty the drain pan. This work was never completed as I have photo proof with a documented evaluation by another HVAC company that shows the work was never completed. You didnt do anything as a so called courtesy for me as I paid $75 to the insurance company to have you sent here to do nothing. This then allowed you to bill them for services rendered (which were none). 1. You didnt do any work. 2. You pushed sales tactics which were horrible as you were talking to someone in sales. 3. Who in their right mind would want a company back in their home like yours after you lied. I will ensure that you will never be recommended to anyone . If you feel necessary please contact me and we can discuss further. I cant believe someone that owns a business will only deal with disputes in this manor.
Tech Scot came out this morning to do our semi annual maintenance. Very thorough unlike other companies, we have used in the past.Refreshing to have a Tech not only come out and do the maintenance but take the time to explain what he did. Scot also let me know that for now, there is nothing that should need to be done before next scheduled maintenance.Save yourself, possible costly issues with your A/C system. The cost to get a semi annual checkup by Air Doctor is money well spent!!!Thanks,Scot
Our A/C stopped working a month ago. Due to our Home Warranty we were referred to this company. My Mother is a 74 year old handicapped woman who is on oxygen 24/7 and is asthmatic. The first time they came out to our house they said it was the compressor. A week later, now mind you it is in the high 80s at this time, the part comes in and worked. They recharged the compressor things were good...until a week later when it didnt work. Woke up in the middle of the night sweating, and my Mom couldnt breath. They came out the next day and said it was the wiring. Which worked until a few days later. They came back and replaced the same wires. All was well for about a week until the night before last. This time we had another company come out and check our A/C because we had lost complete faith in the Air Doctor. Well guess what...the whole A/C unit was frozen due to not enough coolant. We had just paid over $200 for our coolant in the compressor to be filled. The Office Manager is completely unhelpful. Doesnt matter that my immobile 74 year old handicapped Mother cant breath in this heat, or that we will have to go another week without proper air...I would never in a million years think service could be this bad. I would never recommend this company. We tried using a different company thru the Home Shield and the other company wouldnt touch it...liability reason. In other words Air Doctor has truly done a number on our A/C and it is yet to be fixed...extremely disappointed to say the least.

I usually try to only give positive reviews, but in this case I have to say they misrepresented their final cost. I didnt have an issue with installation, they were great. But the guy who sold me my air conditioning unit for 6000 said I would get a 1000 rebate from my taxes. Well... I did my taxes today and I got a 50$ rebate. Then they wanted another 300$ to increase the size of my intake in my bedroom.. which I hadnt done because I was waiting for my tax rebate. Im very disappointed that I didnt make the effort to find another dealer, my neighbor had a unit installed about the same time, same size, for 5000.Live and learn!
My experience of Air Doctor - excellent. They installed my current compressor and air handler a few years ago. The key to a successful AC system is the installation, not the brand so much, and Air Doctors installers and technicians are courteous, well trained and know their stuff. Even the county inspector took the time to remark that my installation was first rate . All the Air Doctor people Ive had contact with have been warm, interested and accommodating. This company from my experience - highly professional, highly competent and honest in their dealings.
I have yet to have my leak looked at by a professional, of course all of this happened on a holiday weekend. So I called first thing this morning and was told I would receive a call back in 30 min with an appt. an hour and a half later I was informed the first appt would be Thursday. Both times when speaking to the rep I was cut off and unable to explain the situation. Everything I said she argued, didn’t seem to care, spoke over me at certain points. Extremely unprofessional office staff. I have a hole in my ceiling with a current leak but it’s fine I can wait. 🤦🏻♀️ My children and I sincerely appreciate it.
My sister needed service work at her house in St Pete and I always used Air Doctor when I lived in the Tampa Bay Area. My sister said the Air Doctor Service Tech was extremely efficient, knowledgeable, and communicated the steps to resolve the issue very well. She said it was a very good experience!
This place is a fraud. The lady, Desiree, whom answered the phone, is the rudest most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with. It seems that the technicians they have must have been trained by circus clowns. I have never had such a horrible experience with any service provider in my life. The right hand has no clue what the left hand is doing. Major confusion with the service technicians. I will never use them again after they left me with no air for 3 weeks.
Erick came out to do my maintenance yesterday, he didnt try to upsell me. Explained everything to me & I am very satisfied with him & Air Doctors. Id like him my next visit if possible.

Air Doctor did an amazing job! In the heat of August in Florida, they were able to immediately address my issue, and when it became obvious that a new system was necessary, it only took a couple of days for them to come and completely replace everything. The installers were pleasant, polite, helpful, and respectful....even sweeping up before leaving for the day! Thank you Air Doctor! :)

The staff is very attentive. The technician Curt was very transparent, knowledgeable, and personable. He knows how to get things done without hassle. His installation crew was very professional, friendly, and prompt. The job they did was very high quality. I was really impressed. The permit closing process was a little frustrating as the city inspector didn’t show after I took the day off to deal with this. The office manager Averi was very understanding when I called and she went the extra mile to help me get the visit rescheduled. I would definitely recommend them to anyone, family or friend.

We have a home warranty through American Home Shield (AHS) and eventually contracted with Air Doctor for annual maintenance contract for our A/C Heating system; Air Doctor was best in responding to AHS calls and most professional repairing our system. Our A/C Heating system is 15 years old and weve had numerous problems with it over the past 4 years. During the most recent Air Doctor maintenance visit the technician found mold/mildew growing again in the system. The technician sold us on replacing our system. Air Doctor offered a good system and excellent price of about $6600, including rebates and home warranty insurance adjustment. Prior to Air Doctors offer we shopped around and other companies offered systems with a price and installation costs over 8k and we couldnt use AHS home warranty to replace the system. Air Doctor installed the new system with in a few days after we contracted for it. The Air Doctor technicians arrived on time and did a great professional installation of the new system and removal of the old system. An Air Doctor technician did a follow up inspection and found the system needed additional air flow to work properly. Air Doctor then sent out another technician within a week to install a new intake vent at no additional cost. Again the Air Doctor technician arrived as schedule and did a professional job installing the new intake vent. We also ordered a UV light to prevent mold/mildew in the system. The Air Doctor technician also arrived as scheduled and did a great job quickly installing the UV light. Overall, we are very happy with Air Doctors service.

Unlike other companys he didnt pressure me into purchasing a new system and told me repairs are possible. Being my unit was very old I decided on a complete replacement. The crew was very friendly and hardworking. The installation looked great,I am not in the industry but it was obvious I received a quality job.. thanks so much.

Daniel M came to fix a leak in my A/C to fix a leak in my air conditioning system. He found that the float switch had been disconnected by the prior serviceman. He also found that my drains were clogged and had to unclog them. Daniel also discovered that the drain lines were installed incorrectly by the contractor who installed my air handler. He provided specific instructions to me to keep the lines clean. I have never had such a thorough and knowledge repair man. Kudos to Daniel as he is an asset to Air Doctor. I will request Daniel each and every time I need service on my air conditioning system.
Had a Master Technician come out and fix my air conditioner. Not only did he go above and beyond he gave advise and offered explanation of how my unit works. Definitely would recommend again. Thanks alot

Reported an issue with my AC at 2 am. Air Doctor was at my home to resolve the problem at 9 am that morning. Our Tech Chris, new his stuff and was uninterested in making just a temporary fix but in making a permanent one which solved the problem. He was efficient, and committed and I could not be happier with the end result. Thanks

I had American Home Warranty and they came out and fixed my issue right away. I knew I had an old system that would need replacing (the tech said the same thing) so I decided purchase a new system from them due to I didnt want my old system to die on me in this heat. The price was fair and install went well.... had couple bumps in the road with getting the city to do the final inspection, thats all. A new tech told me Id need intake made bigger in my bedroom to accommodate my new system which is an extra 300$.... thats the only thing that bugged me, that should have been told to me up front and included in the price of the install. But I would still highly recommend these folks.
In May of 2020 I called a company to fix my AC, their tech quoted me $4,400 to repair the unit or replace it for $ 6,900. The next day I called AIR DOCTOR, the tech arrived and said I needed a new board,two days later he returned, and installed the board at a cost of $ 238. total. I initially heard about this company on my local Christian radio station, and after a buying a home for the first time, decided to enlist them for cleaning my AC coils as recommended by my home inspector. My first visit was okay, but I did not appreciate the employee tracking dirt and mud through my home. I let that go, and even ended up prepaying for a maintenance visit in 6 months. Seven months later I had not received a call to schedule my maintenance visit. I called myself to schedule, and was given a window of 3 hours for them to come, but no one showed up. No one called. An hour after my window ended, I called them to see what had happened. I was told that their computer never saved my appointment, and someone could come out a different day. I rescheduled for a week later, and was given a visit between 8 and 9am. The technician arrived at 750am, and I was taking my daughter to camp. I asked if he could wait 15 minutes for me to arrive home, and he said I would have to reschedule. I rescheduled, and now today waited between 8 and 9 again for someone to show up. No one came, and no one called. When I called the company, I was told the technician had a flat tire that they had to have fixed this morning. I explained that I understand that, but I would have appreciated a phone call since I have another appointment at 10am. I would not recommend this company for these reasons, as my experience with them has been very unreliable, and I do not feel like a valued customer.
Came for repair in a AC unit more than 3 times, technician says the problem is one, report another thing to the insurance company, every time they come technician refers to the first issue, recommends to change the unit but never tell the insurance company. Knowing what the issue is since the first time don’t solve the problem and keep sending the wrong report to the insurance company. No one in the company is able to work for a solution, just keep telling that in their notes they don’t have the real issue. Looks like they tell their technician what to write and manage the reports to be send. Not a reliable company at all. Just want to get pay every the come.

Left a message on a Sunday evening that the AC was blowing hot air and got a return call before 8am the following morning. They scheduled a tech (Jack) to come over later the same day. Had a 3 hour arrival window and Avery was nice enough to call to give us a heads up with a solid arrival time when he was caught in traffic. Once he arrived, it didnt take Jack too long to figure it out, make the repair, and top off the Freon. Cold air was blowing again within the hour! Great service all around and at a fair price. I highly recommend these guys! Thank you Air Doctor!
They put the system in less than 4 years ago. Called them because system wasnt cooling. Also purchased their service contract. Gave me some line about a service charge, but would be waived if work was done. Be nice to find a company who stands by their work and products they peddleThis is surely not one of them
Great company, been doing business with them a long time. Wouldnt us anyone else. Quick scheduling and always fair pricing. With there PMA contract I have saved a boat load of money.
Horrible and dishonest company. Was told they couldn’t service our AC because because our door was in the way in the AC closet. House is 20 years old and AC unit 10 years. How did it get installed then? 2 quotes from other companies and neither had an issue with the door. Work was completed in the last 30 mins and only took 30 mins. Best part is we didn’t have to tear our door to do so. Called to speak with a manger Jim and was told he would call back. That never happened. I’ve never written a negative review before, never felt it so necessary as now.
Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Had them come out to my 3 times because the first tech didn’t know how to fix my unit. They left a mess in my garage and didn’t replace the air duct installation tape they moved. Called to complain and got the run around. It took them 3 days to replace a leak outside. I tried to call and tell them how dissatisfied I was and they could care less. I rather have no AC for three days then have them service me EVER again!!!!
I was having leaking freon problems with my AC Unit for the past 2 years. I had others come out and not be able to resolve the issue. Matt from Air Doctor came out yesterday and spent 3 1/2 hours making sure there was no leak and made sure he checked every last detail to finally resolve the problem. I feel very confident in his work. He genuinely cared about making sure the system would not leak again and made me feel at ease. Awesome job!
Hands down, top three worst companies to deal with - why? Poor customer service. To be successful in a service business, customer service is the foundation to build on. Unfortunately for this company, the service techs are very friendly and helpful.The Problem - the women working the office / phones - namely Laura (manager) and Kathy. Beware as these two train a new generation of rude and entitled customer service representatives. Every review I have read on this company explains that the problem isnt with the product or with the repairs. The issue most people seem to have is with the people working in the office.If I owned this company, I would fire all of them and start fresh.... But the owner is probably married to scary Laura, and would have to divorce her as well.Seriously, this is the worst worst worst AC / Heating company in the area. There are way too many other businesses that offer this service - find one and fire these people asap.

Even the County Inspector commented to me about how nice a job the installers (Amaury & Jose) did on my complete AC change-out. Curt (Technician) was also very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the operation of the new thermostat to us.

Horrible. Told my tenant that the ac had biomass 😂 and needed to be replaced. The next ac company cleaned the unit changed the filter, good as new. Find new sales tactics gents and ladies, that does not fly with everyone.
Kudos to Curt Cummins. Curt did my last semi annual tune up. I told him that the ac system was louder than it used to. I had complained about this on the last 3 service calls done by other techs. Curt found the problem-an incorrect setting on the thermostat-and fixed it! He cleaned the system, checked the temps with a gun, sprayed the vents and gave me advice on filters. He was so thorough. This was the type of service I originally received. I called the company to compliment Curt and to request him for all future service. He should train the new younger techs to be as thorough as he is. Thank you Curt.
I am never disappointed with Air Doctor. Jack is very thorough, polite, and knowledgeable. He always arrives on time. Very happy I found them for my air service and repair!
Air Doctor was sent out by my home warranty company, I am 9 months pregnant. Desiree sent out Chris a few hours after my call. My unit is now up & running after he repaired my leaking coil on site!! Thank you Thank you & thank you again.
I have to say that Ive had an amazing experience with Air Doctor on several occasions! Ive been with American Home Shield for 8 years and our HVAC system was a mess prior to moving into our home. Old furnace, different compressors and sub par duct work from when the home was built in 1998. However, every time Air Doctor sent someone out to take a look at our system they were very upfront and honest about what we needed, if a part was necessary it was ordered that day and put in as soon as possible and they did it all with courtesy and respect. Three days ago the compressor for our 5 ton unit burnt out. They sent a serviceman to my home in less than 24 hours. We knew it was almost time for us to get a new system and when he came in to tell us he give us 2 options. 1) we could replace just the compressor (to work with a furnace from 1998)or 2) knowing how old our system was he said it might be the time to go ahead and purchase a new system. He got on the phone with the company and was able to work out all the details to ensure that we had a brand new system in our house two days later. The mman that came to install the new system arrived first thing Thursday morning and worked diligently to get it done. Our system was not without its nuances, however they were able to work around it and install an great system. I also received excellent customer service from everyone at the office as well. They insured permits were pulled and all of the information that I needed was put together in a packet so if I had any questions I could refer to the information or just give them a call. I do believe that the people that work for Air Doctor are prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. These HVAC systems are very complex and we live in Florida. I believe that they are doing the best job they can to service them!!
I had a wonderful experience with this company. They were attentive, came out right away. They did find a costly problem with my AC :(But instead of allowing me to put money into an expensive repair, they recommended replacing. Im very pleased with my purchased. They got my new AC installed in 1 day, passed inspection 1st try, and am loving my new electric bill. Thank you Air Doctor!!!
I had Air Doctor install a new American Standard 18 SEER high efficiency system in my home. They did everything they said theyd do and more. My power bills went down significantly. Im delighted with their service.
They were instructed to do a ac flush and did not do it. Also the technician came and told us the thermostat was not functioning properly and was off at least 4 degrees and would not touchbor replace it. And then told the warranty and management company nothing was wrong. Also said there was an airflow problem. And then again told the warranty and management company a different story. Technician was very rude. Don’t use them
Changing from 4 stars to 1.Used them since around 2010/11. They used to have a good diagnostic deal, which was great because I rent my house and like to keep the unit serviced. The new unit is only a few years old and under warranty.They somewhere along the way, they became extremely expensive and untimely. Worst of all, RUDE and ARROGANT. The woman who schedules appointments on the phone has NO people skills and really couldnt be bothered to help; its as if shes purposely trying to hemorrhage customers and contractors....I think she is.WARRANTIED Repair. Again, this unit is fairly new, 18SEER York system that cost $10-grand (*NEVER* *BUY* *YORK*). Took a total of 12 days to ship parts back and forth, because, no rush when your house is 95°.WARRANTIED Repair. Charged me over $450 in labor and had to come back 4 times. That is on top of the $1200+ it cost to keep my tenants in a hotel and $500 I had to pay for a portable unit, once funds ran out on the Hotel idea.THEY LEFT ME BROKE!!!THEY LEFT MY TENANTS BROKE AND OUT OF THEIR HOME!!!THEY FAILED TO MEET TIMELINES!!!THEY WERE INCREDIBLY RUDE!!!GUESS WHAT? MY AC IS BROKEN, AGAIN!!!!I sub-contract all day every day, I have never been met with such push-back from a vendor that is interested in my business.

Technician first came at 9am when the appt was set from 11-3 that day. Said he called, never received a call. He bandaged the leak but that was it. Did not look at all possibilities. Left a huge mess on my floor and did not clean it up. Then left in a hurry. AC was not fixed, he ended up leaving the AC Shrader Valve open and caused us to lose 15 pounds of freon and now we have to pay for his mistake, 825 dollars!! Terrible company. We only used them because it was our only choice through American Home Shield. I urge you to choose a different company. American Home Shield allowed us to choose a different company to be expedited the next day, and that technician found what the previous one did and what he lacked to find in issues. They also called the Air Dr and they of course denied any fault.
Cant say enough bad things.Home warranty sent them out, 8 call back and 3 months later it still doesnt work. Missed apts, no call backs. When they do show up its late and they dont fix it anyway. He was just smoking and talking on the phone.If your home warranty sends these people.. Ask for someone else. Dont waste your time
Very rude office staff. They gave us inaccurate times and unreliable information. At one point we were the next call, 2 hours later there were 3 people ahead of us. This is after waiting 3 days for service.
A lot of the reviews here definitely made us scared. Our Air Condition compressor broke and we had American Home Shield, who sent these guys out. They estimated that it would take anywhere from 5-7 days to get the part, which was a nightmare for us since its summer in Florida and we have small kids. Thankfully, it only took them 2 days to get the part and as soon as they got it, they were at our house and fixed it right away. Rafael was the technician who was friendly and efficient.
Air Doctor is very professional and very sympathetic when knowing your Air is out especially when it is hot outside. They treated me with respect and understanding when I was frustrated when my a/c went out and walked me through the process with calm understanding as I was freaking out.
Great customer service. Helped us replace some parts on our AC system. Had a small issue with the fan and they quickly came back to fix and Guarantee their work.
I wish I could rate at zero stars but unfortunately I had to give one instead. We have had American Home Shield for 6 years and had to use them as claim for our AC 3 years ago. They are horrible but whats worse is the company they use, Air Doctors. They come up with quick solutions that are temporary fixes causing more problems. Its as if I dont matter as a customer because Im not directly paying them because we have the warranty on house. They arent friendly when they arrive. One guy came today to fix AC and had no sense of urgency to move his butt because he was tired. Their office messes up dates and delays visits by not completing what they need to do as far as with the warranty company. We cannot wait to cancel the warranty company very soon, once our AC is fixed. Today is day 21 of no AC!!! June 22, 2017.A very unhappy customer
HORRIBLE EVERYTHING. On Thursday, my tenant contacted me letting me know the a/c in my rental wasn’t working properly. I immediately put in a request with my home warranty company (AHS) and they assigned Air Doctor to the request. Air Doctor came out on Friday, told my tenant it was a 5-minute fix and left. Saturday my tenant let me know it was 80 degrees in the house. I called Air Doctor on their emergency line letting them know that the 5-minute fix Mike did on Friday did not work and to please call me back immediately as the tenant has an infant with a fever living in the property. No one called me back until Monday morning. Monday afternoon Troy showed up and told my tenant the system needs to be replaced and then he left. I called the office and spoke to Sharon. She said Troy would call me to explain. Tuesday morning I still had not heard from Troy. I called Sharon again and she said she would have Troy call me immediately. 3 hours later, I still had not heard from Troy so I called Sharon again. She told me once again she would have Troy call me. Troy finally called me 24 hours AFTER he left my property to explain. He said the absolute cheapest option for 2.5 ton unit for 1200 sqft townhome is $5500. I found this price hard to belief and, sure enough, my in-laws shared a receipt with me for their unit which cost $3500. Their property is two doors down and shares a roof with mine. I asked both Troy and Sharon to close out my account with my home warranty company. As of Wednesday afternoon, my warranty account still shows that the technician is at my property and therefore my warranty company cannot discuss next steps with me. I called Sharon once again to confirm that they closed everything out on their end. Sharon told me I needed to speak with Desiree. Desiree told me they closed it out on their end. I asked her to please provide the date and time it was closed out and she said she could not do that - their system doesn’t time stamp anything. If you want to go 7+ days without air conditioning during a Florida summer, get the run-around from staff, and severely overpay for services, by all means, call this company.
Air Doctor was great to work with. They were professional, friendly and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect and done on time.
