Honestly, this place has been my home for the past 2 weeks. I wish the hours were better but that is my literal ONLY complaint.Glenn is incredibly helpful with any questions you may have and is overall just a great guy that is super knowledgeable about his craft.On top of that, they have equipment there that covers every base outside of incredibly specific niche things for specific vehicles.I have pretty much replaced the entire front end of my 98 Trans Am in this shop and they have been nothing but fair with me the entire time that my car has taken up one of their bays.The prices are extremely affordable; way cheaper than taking it to a mechanic to do the work for you. $10/hour for a car lift and $5/hour for a normal bay. All the tools are free to use. Everything from hand tools, to impact guns, to pneumatic tools like air ratches and grinder, you name it.Again, 10/10, couldnt recommend this place more.

Best $5 Ive ever spent. Its great being able to rent a space with a car lift. The staff was friendly and willing to help out in any way they could. Its convenient and saves me time and money being able to work on my own vehicle.

Helpful staff

Just a great place to get stuff done. People are really nice and helpful and there are a ton of tools to use and lifts. If you need anything done take some time and do it your self here it is great!

Through the years the Auto Hobby Shop proves itself to be one of the finest benefits aboard Tinker Air Force Base. Glen Jeff & Mike Ive always been incredibly helpful, and fun. When my two sons and two daughters were teenagers, I brought them to the Hobby Shop to learn how to do it themselves. The staff have treated us like family and the results have been amazing and positive. I strongly encourage every eligible person to use it... male, female young and not-so-young. It develops life needed skills and save a ton of money. Keep up the great work

Not very well equiped

These guys rock! I was TDY to Tinker AFB a few weeks ago and while on my way I made a stop to discover one of my radiator fans was loose and making noise. 6 hours away from home, I knew I needed to get this fixed before returning, so I ordered the part and had it delivered to a local Pep Boys to fix it myself. On my last day in town I visited the Auto Hobby Shop and these guys took good care of me by getting this out-of-towner all set-up with a stall and tools to complete the job. I was also assisted with some advice that probably saved me a few hours in removing the bad part. All in all, I was able to get it repaired in just under 2 hours for a total of less than what the part cost (part was discounted to $136 + $25 stall rental). I cant image how much this would have cost without the availability of the Auto Hobby Shop. Im very grateful for this service. They helped make my situation a simple inconvenience that was easily repaired instead of a possible expensive disaster.

This was my first very bad visit here. The impact tools and sockets are in terrible condition. They fit the impact wrench wobbly and very loose. The tooling was so inadequate and I was so frustrated that I just paid and left.
