This store may be tiny but its somewhat like the walmart of west Africa. She has everything you could possibly need, all the while with the friendliest demeanor and she knows her customers needs. I told her I live out of state and she didnt seem bothered, she just kept praying for my well being and treated me like a regular customer. She has multiple items that I dont see in major African grocers in Atlanta and NYC. She sells the best Agege bread. I wish i could order it to my home in georgia. Everytime i stop in Oklahoma, Ill make a trip to this store.

Lovely place Nice hats..Yes makola is a very unknown Triditional African Kulture store you see mostly were people KNOW more about culture, which Oklahomans know and could care nothing about unfortunately are the reasons most of these small businesss are in the wrong demographics and end costing the consumer 100% more because of incorrect marketing and location. In the Asian districts you dont say well these people are being racist for posting and building asian commerce? Its what the community wants in these areas a community of Asian merchandise so business is good! The problem is so called American xenophobes dont understand that these words mean cultures traditions food, Apparell, so if you see European, Black African, Asian, Greek, Germany, learn real cultures and get over yourselves and support these businesses instead of the new fancy snobbish grundge fads, heck some pub/restaurants names are more obnoxious and desperately marketed than any place ive ever seen. First leave the country and come back and stop supporting these big Corporate chain stores and buy weekly at small mom and pop stores like Makola African Market. This isnt 1789 any more Okies learn to appreciate others Ancient culture After All those African people arent wearing costumes YOU Are?

Located in the Asian district and advertised as an international store but the clerk made it very clear its an African not Asian and I should go down to 27th Street. I was unaware of the change to the definition of international.
