My wife went up here today and said she had the very best service. She just drove up because she noticed one of her tires was low. I believe it was one of the managers who ended up checking them and she said the man was one of the kindest people in customer service she has ever met. I wish we got his name but Im glad you guys took care of her and her jeep today!

Jordan and co are great! I came in for a patch on some old tires that I knew needed replacing, he wasnt able to do it (too worn), so he helped set me up with a great deal on 4 new tires! They were also totally understanding of me needing to do a little research first before making the purchase. Ended up very happy, and out of there in less than an hour!

Discount Tire is a solid tire store. Came in with flat tire, they fixed it and I was on my way. Also had tires rotated and checked at no charge which is typical of that type of store. Have never had them try to sell me services I dont need and I appreciate that.

We found a nail in our tire, which is why the tire pressure was at 4. They had a COVID safe check-in in the parking lot, and Bob was super helpful getting us inline to have the flat fixed. He was very pleasant, and I was very excited when he said they would fix it for FREE!!! Also, he said that any Discount Tire would do the same. BTW... this was our first ever visit to a Discount Tire. My wife and I will definitely be back!

They have great service. I ordered the same Yokohama tires they put on my vehicle 6 years ago which lasted nearly all of the 70,000 miles for which theyre rated. You can stay in your car the whole time with minimal contact. Friendly & professional as usual.

My last review was of the S. Lansing store. Okemos did not disappoint! I noted a strong team spirit on this visit. The staff was friendly and efficient. They are doing a great job of keeping their customers safe! Their service was just good as S. Lansing.

Ive lived in this area now for 10 years and will never go anywhere but here. They are helpful and understand my budget. I recommend the warranty!!! The cost ranges depending on the type of tire but you get a new tire if it pops before the number of miles on the warranty. My warranty is 55,000.

Made an appointment and paid for tires online on Friday. Got there at 1:40 (2:00 was appointment time) they had me out of there by 2:30. The easiest and fastest time I have ever had getting new tires. Staff was great.

We went to another tire place and they were rude. Did not seem like they wanted our businessSo my wife and I went to Discount Tires in Grand Ledge. The young man that helped us went above and beyond to help us. They had 2 of the tires we needed and then found 2 more tires at the Okemos store. We went there and EVERYONE was so helpful. Called right before they closed lastnight because I had a screw in my tire thwy told me to come first thing when they open and theyd get me in. Great experience they had me in and out in less than an hour.

I’ve been going here since I can remember. Quality of service and pricing has always been excellent. I met Joel for the first time today, and he took the time to make sure my needs were addressed. He went above and beyond, and I will continue to do business with this store. If you are wondering why they are so busy, it is because they are the best tire shop in the Okemos area.

I brought the flat tire from my wheelbarrow to have it repaired while the Covid-19 distancing protocols were in place. I was impressed with their attention to detail to ensure my safety as well as theirs. Joel was the technician that assisted me and after assessing the wheel and tire, found that there was a ruff metal barb on the wheel that was puncturing the valve stem. He filed down the barb, replaced the valve stem and then told me there would be no charge; just keep buying your tires here.So my rating is extremely satisfied, impressed and more than happy to buy my tires at the Okemos Discount Tire Store!!

Ive been going to this Discount tire for years! Everyone has been friendly and professional every time Ive gone and theyve even given me free advice on what to do to fix a shake before resorting to buying new tires.

My last two experiences have been horrific. Last winter, I made an appointment for new snow tires (in store). I showed up and they couldnt find my appointment in the system. I had specific tires picked out (Blizzaks) and they sold them already. They set me up with different snow tires. Picking up my car, they tried switching them to all season tires, that would have been half of the cost that I already paid. Had to wait longer for the correct ties to be put on.This winter was worse. I dropped two vehicles off on a Friday night for snow tires to be installed the next day. I was told they would be ready by 2 pm on Saturday. I came at closing time to pick my vehicles up... They hadnt even started them yet. I had to wait additional two hours while they were installed. 26 hours to wait for snow tires to be installed is unacceptable... Wasted money on a rental car for two days and STILL had to wait at the store for the install. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere.

Great prices, great warranty. They do good work...but waiting in line, STANDING for 2 hours, is about as not-fun as tire shopping goes. A simple sms-based queue would make this a 5-star.

1) I ordered a tire they didnt have in stock at 2am. That afternoon they called to say they were able to find one and I could stop in that day to do the replacement. Awesome.2) The tire replacement was for a Tesla, which is a bit unique in how it must be lifted, to not damage the battery underneath the car. One of the workers, (Drew I believe his name is) really took the time to listen to my concern and make sure that the job would be done correctly, noting the different jacking placement required.I had a tire changed once at belle tire nearby, and, though they were great and Id recommend them as well, Im not sure they knew or took into consideration the importance of lifting the vehicle carefully.TLDR: Awesome service by Discount Tire, and I appreciated Drews understanding and consideration for my car.The only downside is they (and I) forgot to give me my old (well, still mostly new) tire back. Even so, great experience.This is the second time Ive been to a Discount Tire. Both times I chose them, it was due to their prices. Now, Ill be going to them exclusively for future tire work.

Got new tires here, no problem. Also had a tire repaired here, initially they said it was unable to be repaired but after a second look they were about to fix it.

Long line slow customer service, I went there 3 times in a week to get a nail in my tire repaired, each time I stood there for a 20 minutes just to talk to a salesman, to be told rudely that it cant be fixed, they didnt even try, when in September I had a nail in basically the same spot repaired with no questions asked, in less than a hour. I feel like when they are busy they try to turn people away. I took it to Value Tire and they repaired it, without being rude and trying to sell me a tire

Discount tire in okemos is doing a fantastic job keeping the facility clean and safe for every customer.

Walked in on a busy Monday morning without an appointment, as blown tires seem to happen at the worst time. They were able to get me in and out in under 30 minutes for less than $10 because they stood by their warranty. The best part is I forgot to mention the expensive clothes I had in my trunk. They were nice enough to put my spare in a giant plastic bag before putting it in my trunk and kept those clothes clean. Very nice and thoughtful staff would recommend.

The staff are nice and the service is great. The staff are very informative as they should be. The place is very clean for what it is. They do have it so you can make appointments but either way the wait is long. Pretty accurate with the amount of time they say it will take but that doesnt count the actual time before your car is loaded just make sure to take that into account. I alway bring stuff to keep me busy if and when the service is needed.

Great service great products for all price and performance ranges, but dont expect to get your oil changed, they just specialize in tires and accessories

We arrived right when they opened and there were already 5+ people in line. We were getting tires swapped. This took almost 3 hours. Im not complaining by any means, just trying to help develop realistic expectations for the future.The staff were kind and expedient. Will visit again.

Best place to get new tires. Professional staff who strive to do the job right the first time. Joel assisted me with getting my vehicle in and out *quickly*. If you can, make an appointment--it will save some wait time. There is good reason they are so busy...Discount Tire takes care of the customer.

Went in Saturday, got all 4 new tires and got charged balance a rotation. Car vibrated so bad thought I was gonna lose a tire. Went back a few days later and waited another 2 and a half hours to get them balanced. Not first come first serve. About 5 people came in after me and got their cars back before mine even went into the bay. I get being busy but I shouldnt have to wait in the queue for something simple that should have been done the first time. Will go to another store from now on.

Its a fantastic place if you want tires and an awful place to have a pet spayed or neutered.

Jordin and Ed were both amazing! Called last minute before a tigers game with a huge screw in my tire. They had everything they needed on hand to do the work (my tire requires a special key) got it done extremely quick about 35 minutes and all with a great attitude!! Amazing service, highly recommended!

My wife got in her car to come home from work to find she had a leak in one of her tires. I called this store to see if they were busy if they were I was going to send her to the Howell store. I was told they could get her right in. 15 min later when she arrived all the bays were full and there was a 7 car wait. There is no way I believe all those cars came in during her 15 min drive. This was a total waste of my wifes time and now I have to fix the tire with a plug kit in our dirt driveway. Will not be going back to this branch of discount tire because of the management.

I went to Discount Tires in Okemos around 1:00pm today (March 19, 2020) and at that time, was the only customer. The mechanist put in in two new tires for me in 10 minutes. What impressed me most, however, was that the front desk manager, Joel, was spraying disinfectant and wiping tables, desks and chairs, front door, on and off; and I believed him totally when he assured me that I was at the cleanest place that I could possibly be at. I applaud Discount Tires-Okemos for this effort!

I noticed I had an almost flat tire on the first snowy day of the year, and apparently everyone else did as well. They were PACKED. Like, cars in the street and directing traffic just to get in, packed. But despite that, my time to check in was not long. I think I talked to Bob (not sure, though). Despite how crazy they were, he was very friendly. He wasnt sure they could even take me in but I didnt want to drive anywhere else on my tire and I didnt mind leaving it for as long as needed. He took his time talking to me about my choices and I didnt feel rushed or pressured. They kept it overnight to make repairs and when I came back they were still busy but still friendly. Talked to someone else and he was just as nice. They could have said they were full, they were, and turned me away but they didnt. I appreciate their positive attitudes when they were obviously overwhelmed. I honestly couldnt believe how smoothly everything went given how crazy it was when I pulled in. Way to keep it together, all! Will be back!

I will never order tires from anyone else. I ordered tires three weeks ago and they were supposed to be in two days later. Order got messed up by Bridgestone twice and so they have me $600 for free. Best customer service I have ever received anywhere.

Discount Tire of Okemos is an excellent shop to get any and all tire work done. They have always been prompt, professional, and delivered service that was a good value for the money. On an occasion where a weird mix-up occurred in which one of my summer tires was lost and an incorrect tire was installed on my car, they immediately ordered the proper tire and made it right at no cost to me.

This place is very friendly and takes the time to explain whatever you want even when they are busy. Its great personalized service and they explain your options not just try to sell you on the most expensive tire. They will rotate tires for free to give you the best life possible out of your tires and offer inexpensive tire warrantys for free replacement if you get a flat. Ill probably go to Discount Tire for life.

I had to have my car towed here after hours after a very stressful night and 2 flat tires. When I called the following morning I spoke with Rod who was very friendly and helpful. He quickly got my tires fixed for a great price. I asked that my keys be locked in the car since I live 1.5 hours away and I would picking up the car when I got out of work later that day. When I arrived to pickup my car Rod came out to make sure I was satisfied and okay for my long drive home. I was very happy with the service I received here and would recommend them!

Always the best prices in town. Little hiccup mounting one tire backwards, hey stuff happens, but they dropped what they were doing when I got back and fixed it immediately. Busy place, for a reason, but they do take appointments now which can help with your busy schedule.

I am a loyal customer but was shocked by my most recent experience—arrived at 4:45 pm with a rapidly deflating tire; at 6:15pm (store closes at 6:00), my car was ready, a hole had been found when the tire was put under water, was patched, rotated, and all AT NO COST!!! So appreciative of the professional and competent service.

Good things about this Discount Tire:1. They say they close at 6 p.m. on weekdays, but what they mean is that if you are in by 6 p.m. they will do your car. Its clearly a matter of routine. They dont make a big deal out of it or try to make you feel like theyre doing you a big favor.2. Their prices seem to be comparable to others in the area (I just moved to Michigan, so this is based on web searches, not personal experience).3. They fixed my broken door handle. For free. Without me asking. For the last six months, by drivers side door handle was nonfunctional, so I always warned people at auto shops because it looked like it worked, but actually didnt open the door. I did that at Discount Tire as usual. When they were finished putting the tires on, the guy who had done it came out and said Oh, and by the way, I fixed your door handle. I had a similar model of car and it had a huge problem with that, so Ive gotten really good at fixing them.Overall, excellent service. Because they are so good they are pretty busy, so they can be kind of slow, but I recommend them if you are able to wait a little.

I got in at 8 a.m., they didnt have the tires I wanted in stock so they drove to another location to pick them up and was all done by 9:30. Great service above and beyond.

I had my appointment for tire rotation and got there on time. The appointment didnt take long and they told me my tires are in great shape for their age. I liked that they didnt try to say the tires needed replacing or something. They were honest and its appreciated. Last time a different location forgot to put the caps back on, so this time I asked for the caps to be replaced. They did. It was a nice experience.

Spoke to manager, Bob over the phone asking for verification if my 4 Continental Contact Plus A/S tires I bought online were in-shopfor my appointment at 1 pm. He asked if I had an appointment. I said “yes, at 1 pm.”He confirmed that they were in they were in system but it took him all but 5 seconds to confirm. I thought that was weird. I wanted reassurance because I was going to drive 30 minutes to all 4 tires changed today. He told me “yeah we’ll see you then”.I drove to the shop and spoke directly to Bob. He took me outside and looked at all 4 tires- the usual routine. My left, rear tire was in new/used condition as I bought it from the shop a month ago. He took me in and I sat there for 10 minutes while he was fumbling to find my 4 tires I asked earlier when he gave me his word that they were in. See, this happened before but at the Howell, MI shop where I didn’t get the exact tire I bought. I got the replacement ones they had available.Lesson learned. Call ahead so you don’t have to deal with a broken online system and knuckle-head managers who don’t know how to provide customer service. I should have cancelled but needed tires before the rain and snow come in this week. Next up, Belle tire.

Ive been going to Discount Tire for over 30 years. Ive always given me a good service and good products. Cant think of any reason why Id ever change vendors for tires on my cars. They are also located all across the nation which is nice for when youre traveling and have an issue.
