I had Brice make me a standard kilt from the Oassion of Scotland tartan. I wore it a couple of times to church but yesterday I wore it all day to work. The cloth is nice and heavy so it falls and drapes well. Pleats stay crisp and it fits wonderfully. I own several UT kilts but this one is quickly becoming my favorite. Thanks Brice. Great job.

Great place to buy a kilt from. Great experience with their customer service after my measurements were a little off. They say on their site to not go by your jean size so take it seriously. The size will probably be 2-4in larger than your normal pants size, but that is normal. Ive seen utility kilts at other places for much more money, but was very satisfied by both their products and customer service.

My experience was fantastic ~ I wanted to purchase a white utility kilt for me, it was listed as out of stock for my size. Of course I needed it by a specific date so I contacted Customer Service via email. A representative by the name of Brice Lythgoe contacted me by the end of the same working day stating that the kilt should be in the following week. He then proceeded to stay in touch with email updates as to when the kilt would be in; knowing I needed it for a certain event. I am wearing it for the 3 Day Walk for Breast Cancer in Philadelphia.Customer Service goes a long way in my book and you went above and beyond - I was able to order the kilt in a timely manor. Best kilt I have (I have 4 so far) is my wool Black Watch from UT Kilts! I wont buy anything else from now on. Their wool kilts are far and away the best deal going. Polyviscose are not worth it to someone who knows they will be wearing it frequently and UT Kilts has the cheapest 100% wool kilts around. While some of the kilts that run into the hundreds of dollars may be marginally better, I doubt they are worth that much more. I cant wait to get another.

Just got it and am pretty happy. What impressed me was client service. The belt buckle was on back-order. They held the first purchase until the buckle came in ~the kilt was on sale so I wanted to close that deal right away . Once I purchased the buckle a week later, they shipped it altogether as one. Havent received my kilt yet, but the customer service delivered by Brice already is above and beyond. I contacted Brice after purchasing as a guest, just to inquire about shipping. UTKilts made this incredibly easy. I thought I waited too late to have this kilt ordered and shipped for my event. I called right as I placed the order, Brice answered and said no sweat, he was working on orders and mine would ship that same day. That was Saturday and I received the kilt on Tuesday. The quality was outstanding and after following the detailed instructions on their site, it fit like a glove. I have friends that easily paid 5x the price and they could not tell a difference in the quality. Im getting comfortable wearing this kilt and will be ordering another soon. I love wearing kilts. I have 6 utility kilts by 4 different companies, plus a traditional one. I thought i would try the UT company, because I had seen people wearing them, and I thought it was a bargain.I cannot recommend the company. And, if you are outside the US, it is definitely not a bargain.I purchased their basic model.The kilt itself is well made. But the side pockets are small - I would say even too small. This is an issue, because unlike other utility kilts, it lacks a back pocket and does not come with a sporan. The problem is so bad that I have started wearing another companys sporan with this kilt., just so I dont have to deal with the pockets.The kilt they sent me was not the same color as pictured on their website. While it is impossible to have 100% accuracy with photos posted online, other companies show a reasonably accurate photo. In this case, it was not even close.As I said, the kilt turned out not to be the bargain I expected. Unlike other companies, this one offers its kilts in just one length. If you need it smaller, expect to pay between $30-40 for a tailor to adjust it. Plus, for international orders, the only option is shipping through FedEx - which means a $25 delivery charge for a $50 kilt. (For comparison, another company charges $12 delivery on a $109 kilt.) And, unlike the regular post office, which will hold the package until you pay taxes and duties, FedEx will pay them for you if you are not home to pay for them at delivery time, then charge a fee. Add another $40 in taxes, duties and fees to that $50 kilt.I realize some of you wont have the same issues as I did. But, in my case, I am very unlikely to order another kilt from them.
