I’ve never had work done on my vehicles here but came to get my car emissions test done. They have On The Spot registration and charge a good price for emissions. I suggest calling ahead to see what times are available because they are extremely booked out (but that’s a good thing!) My car was in and out in about ten minutes. The staff was very friendly. Bruce (the owner) was easygoing and helpful. The waiting room was clean. I feel that they were willing to go the extra mile to help me with questions/concerns I had about my other vehicle. Definitely plan on using them again! Bonus, there’s an adorable dog that hangs out in the waiting room (at least when I went). She is super friendly.

I brought my car in for an air conditioning recharge. They got to it faster than I thought they would. They called to let me know they found a leak and it was a great price for the repair. Friendly and professional. Sometimes there is a cute dog hanging out (sleeping) in the office. Highly recommend

Brought in our 2013 Subaru Outback for an emissions check to license and register it in the state of Utah. Customer service was excellent, quick, friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend and have to my sons.

I had to get my license plate renewed before the end of the month! So I needed emissions completed and an oil change!! Every where I called couldn’t help me get it completed until the 8th of June or later!! Tunex got me in at least to do the emissions and pay the renewal for plates!! To my surprise they were also able to get my oil done as well!! Jay was awesome to work with and very friendly!!I would recommend them to anyone!! I didn’t have an appointment and just showed up @ 8:00 am on Friday the 28th of May!! There was a lot of vehicles in the parking lot as well as about five others in line trying to do their emissions as well!! So they were very busy!! So I did have to leave my car for a while, however they got me done and back on the road when no one else could before the month ended and my license plates expired!!I will use them again!!

My father recommended that I take my car into Tunex to have them look at it since another local shop failed my emissions for the air injection pump missing. Tunex located the part right where it was supposed to be and passed my emissions test free of charge!!! Ive always heard good things about Tunex from my father who has been my main mechanic throughout the years (so he knows good mechanics when he sees one) but I always want to cut costs. The team here is honest and will go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. They give you options but are not pushy. I took my Dodge Journey there after another shop had it for 3 weeks charged me 700 and never fixed it. But the teM help figured out what the problem was after 2 days had a solution and fixed it in 4 days. They go above and beyond for their customers.

Nobody was willing to inspect my RZR to be street legal. These guys fit me in last minute and did a great job. I will start bringing my cars here rather than Jiffy Lube for inspections and on the spot renewal; they won my business.

Made an appointment for an oil change and emissions test. They were very prompt and professional. Prices are much better than jiffy lube. I was looking for a place to get away from jiffy lube and after this 1st visit to Tunex, I will be returning. They are very busy so its best if you can make an appointment.

Thermostat system needed to be replaced. Took it in and they did the job but later I noticed a leak. This was because the o ring also should have been replaced. When I returned to the shop and explained the problem, they quickly went and checked what the problem and did the necessary fix. Very patient and helpful. I came in for an emissions test after my dealer was unable to get it done. The Weber County system was down but instead of sending me away, like the dealer had, they got me an extension and I came back when the system was up. Quick process both times.

Took my car for diagnostics and an oil change. My car only has 62,000 miles on it. They put full synthetic oil in it and charged me $90.00! The cost said 53.95. +3.00 for filter.They charged me $23.00 additional dollars to change the oil! Do NOT take your car here!Then the diagnostics was $80.00. The repair my car needed was timing chain tensioner. The dealership told me 1500.00. Then Tunex said anywhere from $1800.00- $2800.00. Once I called them out on the cost difference they said they would price match.Since when does an oil change on a sedan cost $90.00 and repairs cost $1000 more than the dealership??The Kia dealership fixed my car and then showed me how bad my oil was. I said thats not possible because I just paid tunex to do it. He showed me the oil and said there is absolutely no way your oil was just changed two weeks ago. He saved or to show me the build up. Reporting this to the better business bureau!

This morning I woke up needing to get an oil change before going on a road trip. I called before they opened and the guy on the phone told me if I get there as soon as they opened, they would be able to squeeze me in. Not only did they squeeze me in, they went above and beyond by changing my cabin filter, topping off my fluids, putting on new wipers, and even suggesting my tag renewal. The icing on the cake, they had everything done within two hours! Highly recommend this place! Bruce and his team are helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Will definitely be coming back!

I quit going to the South Ogden Tunex a few years ago because of poor service and quality. Thought I would try again since the new management took over a year ago. I was very pleased and will be going back for other services.

I stopped in around 11am on a weekday for a simple emissions check. They were a little busy and headed to lunch so they estimated it would take one and a half hours. I left my car there and by 2:30 pm I still hadnt heard. I called to check on the progress and they couldnt tell me when it would be done because the technician was on a test drive of another car. Finally at 4:30 they called saying it was ready, and they tried to upsell me $100 to change our filters. We just changed them a month ago, there is no way they really needed to be changed. When I went to pick up the keys and pay around 5pm I waited in the lobby for 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged I was there waiting. Other customers were waiting too. It took almost 20 minutes just to get my keys. I was very disappointed with their customer service. I did get the emissions done for $30 but it would have been worth it to go somewhere better and pay a little more. I wont be going back to this establishment!

Bruce was super nice, honest and very helpful. Went in to get my emissions done, was in and out in less than 45 minutes. He gave me recommendations of things I need to have checked in the future, but was not pushy and said it could be done on my next oil change. I was a very loyal Firestone client for 10+ years, but since they closed I had to find a new auto shop. I found my place, will be back for sure and would recommend this place to others.

The guy was really nice and honest. He got me the best deal he could without fixing all the big things that he didnt really need to. He didnt do anything unless I gave him the go-ahead. And he even gave me some advice about an unrelated problem so I could go get it fixed.

They were professional and did quality work on my truck. Kirk went above and beyond, installing my replacement tail light. I had purchased the light, so it was in my truck. He replaced it without saying anything about doing this. He noticed it was out when test driving after replacing my brakes. I would absolutely recommend them to my friends.

I always feel like they go the extra mile to make sure I understand whats going on with my vehicle and what needs to be done to keep it in the best shape possible. These Tunex guys are great. They are knowledgeable and meet my needs, as well as going over and above in anticipating possible causes for the issues Ive had them check out in my car. I really appreciate that they dont just shoo me out the door as fast as they can, but take the time to assess and educate me on what I need to do to keep my car safely on the road.

This business is under new ownership. This has always been my preferred place to get maintenance on my vehicle, and Im glad to see that it has been reopened.The new staff are VERY knowledgeable. To the point where you may have difficulty understanding what part of the car they are talking about. Its kinda like that teacher you had that knows a lot, but was a terrible teacher because they knew so much they couldnt explain it to you because they were making incorrect assumptions about how much people outside their profession know about the subject. Its not as big of a concern here because they are the ones that will fix your car, and they will get it done right.Their pricing is competitive. I needed my air filter replaced and they had them available for $23, where in the past I have seen them cost $30+. I also had them do my emissions testing and for full disclosure, they covered the $10 vendor fee with the request that I leave a review.I would suggest you call ahead and plan on leaving your vehicle with them for the day. They are super busy, so wait times tend to be long. Apparently, they are are short an oil change guy right now, I intended to get an oil change with my emissions check, but was told it would be a 2-hour wait. Really, this is my biggest complaint.Two last tips: First, the parking lot is a little small and difficult to maneuver in, so you may want to pay attention to the parking lot so you know if there is a stall for you to turn around in if you need it. Second, while I was waiting, another customer was asking about safety inspections for commercial vehicles. Apparently, when the new owners came in, their certification for safety inspections lapsed, so they are in the process of getting re-certified for safety inspections.Overall, if youre looking for a shop with great mechanics and competitive pricing for their service, I would definitely recommend TUNEX. The management seems open to feedback, so in time I expect the concerns above will be addressed to make this shop a five star experience.

I was there recently to have my yearly emissions done. Bruce made it super easy and quick to get it done. I was in and out in less than a half hour. He didnt try to sell me other (and often unnecessary) services like other automotive shops usually do. I appreciated this since I do most of my vehicle maintenance myself and know what might need attention. Nice guy. The building had taken on a new smell though.. I wasnt sure if it was due to the bathroom door being open or a shop smell that was a little strong. All in all, they have always been great and timely.

They were cool with me and offered to wave the $10 fee for on the spot renewal for regerstation if I left a review. Sweet deal. They were also very honest which is what I respect most in a business.

They do a great job. I do a lot of business with this shop. Only issue I have ever had was a bad pulley they didnt catch. That is the only reason I give them 4 instead of 5 stars. That said I do recommend this shop and I will continue to take all of my vehicles to them.

Very pleasant to deal with, I took my car in for emissions and they found a couple of oil leaks I had suspected were there for a while now. No pressure, didn’t make me feel as though I had to go through them, just educated me on how their business had changed over the past few months since I was last in. Did my on the spot renewal for free. Definitely will use in the future.

I could not be happier with these guys very knowledgeable and very nice. I have a Edge chip on my truck and they looked it up and contacted Weber department to verify it was legal. It was so they jumped right on it and got it done for me. We have always loved going to them and we will continue going to them. We will be sending anyone we know there to. Great to deal with.

We still miss Cameron, but have continued to bring our cars here probably since 2011 and have never been disappointed. They look your vehicle over well and are not pushy about fixing things. its a good idea to call ahead though they are not just a lube shop so if they have several customers come in about same time you will wait. They take there time and are thourough. I dont mind waiting a little extra time to make sure things are done right.

Needed a smog check and this was the closest place opened on a Sunday. Im glad I did. I also wanted them to check out a possible fuel leak. I had been smelling a gas or exhaust smell around the hood of the car. They assured me that there was no leak and said I could come back anytime free of charge if I smelled it again. The total cost of the smog check and diagnostics check was only $30! Thanks for your help and concern. I highly recommend Bruce and the crew.
