The place is awesome, professional looking and great selection of vehicles. The people up front were helpful and friendly. Thank you for providing a great place to get those used parts needed to keep vehicles on the road.
Good junkyard. Good selection and prices.
Sold them my old car. Easy and fast transaction. Good customer service.
If I could give no stars, I would. Rude service and expensive parts. $17 for a window switch? Cmon! You can buy 4 for that price anywhere else. Also dont like how the vehicles are all just thrown together and not organized by make like every other junkyard in existence. Its hard to find anything. Looks like a tornado hit the place.
A family member of mine was a loyal and a regular customer. Went almost on a weekly basis to this yard. About a week ago, he did a bid on an older classic vehicle that was auctioned off before entering the junk yard. He won the auction bid, was told to pay when he went to pick up the car, come to the date he was going to pick up the vehicle, the worker then said the vehicle was going into the yard with no explanation as to why. The car was in an auction that was supposed to be sold to the winner of the bid but was taken from the winner and now is in the junk yard. Bad business. Unprofessional.
I have been getting parts from this company for years. Usually a friendly staff, decent selection of cars, up to date website as well as a Facebook page. Check them out.
Fast, friendly. The part I wanted was on the car. It came off easily. Pleasantly surprised at the price of the part. I could not ask for a better experience!
This place gets worse and worse every time My husband and I go!!!!!! I used to enjoy coming here but they got rid of the people that made it enjoyable and now we’re stuck with attitude and poor customer service. There’s one guy there that makes it bearable but they have lost my business and I will spread the word!!!!
Its always awesome to go to the junk yard and get dirty. You really cant beat that feeling. However this one is just a little pricey. Me and the husband love it anyway. Super close to home very convenient and almost always has what we are looking for. 4 stars because they could work on their customer service skills
In a word great places just clean as a pen inside and out everything is organized they when I brought that car in I towed it in and I didnt bring I couldnt find the title even I had the title but they had me sign a duplicate no problem then charge me anything extra I hope they gave me extra money for my cuz I put new tires on it a month before they took things inconsideration they didnt just say here they gave me a little more and I dont think I could have gotten more anywhere else I doubt it and their office young lady Lucy Velazquez very very efficient fast friendly and you know there was never any point to where I felt like I didnt get a fair Shake shes fantastic loved it I highly recommend it to anyone
Easy to find what you need. Helpful staff. Cheap parts with a good warranty. When I cant buy new I will come back here.
Great selection to pull from, albeit they rotate stock FAST, better get it now or during that week Before its gone next!!!Also make sure you ONLY get the part ya need, anything else attached you will be charged for, if it unbolts, clips,or slides off do it before the register, because they will squeeze ya for that bulb/connector/etc!
All and all this is a Very clean environment with tons of cars so you get your parts your looking for. However three star for being charged for absolutely everything! I go to other pick a part places in Ogden and never walk away feeling jipped. Here I do.
Customer service was expletive. I traveled over 160 miles and had gotten prices the day before they failed to mention it cost a dollar just to get in and I specifically asked for the total price including the tax but when I arrive the price had been changed
This junk yard used tp be a great place to go with a large selection of. Automobiles ....until today..rude disrespectful and mean....if i could give them no stars i would
My buddy and I tried to go in, but they wouldnt let my buddy in bc he didnt have an ID, ive been going to junk yards over the years and that is the first time Ive been checked. I will never come to this location ever again.
Honestly Im supremely disappointed because they told me it was $30 for my hood and they ended up charging me an extra $20 for the grill even though it is a part of the hood because I drive a 2006 Chevrolet HHR I pretty much had no choice because I need a new hood so I bought it
I just bought a car with a bad transmission. I came here to look for parts for it and they wouldn’t let me in saying I’m too young. If I’m old enough to own and drive a car I shouldBe old enough to by parts for it
I would like to thank all the staff working Wednesday, (4/28/21), around 4:00-5:00PM. I came in with my uncle to get a part off of a car when my uncle had a medical emergency, all of the staff went beyond their line of work to help. Thanks to the girl working who let me use her phone to call for help, also a big thanks to the man who got myself and my scared cousins some water.
This is the only place where you actually find the vehicle where they saidAnd the parts are always good 👍The 30 days warranty is nice..They have give me my money back is the part dont work.
Nickole is super super sweet and showed great costumer service!
Had a great inventory of used cars and found what I needed right away. Very pleased.
I love this place! Always has what I need. Definitely loved the young lady that helped me. I believe her name was Neileen Contreras! I for sure will be coming back.
I have had several great experiences here. They are well organized and have an very accurate list of vehicles and their location in the yard. Best recycle yard in ogden by far
A grandbaby appreciated using restroom while grandpa finished getting car parts.
Nicole at the front was so nice and helpful. I came In really close to closing and she was more then willing to help me with what I needed. She even asked someone to help me out in the yard, because I had no idea what I was doing. Great customer service.
Had all my parts cheeper that auto zone
Always very helpful staff. Large selection of great parts.
Very neat and clean for a pick a part yard., Counter help gave list of vehicles knew right were every thing was located. Great place
Courteous friendly. Found part and they guarantee it to fit and work.
The new guy that just started is great. Very helpful and friendly had a very positive experience.
I was there to get tires for my gf car and nes (mexican girl) help us out a lot by helping out take the tire off and asking her co worker for help to help me out she is one of the best people there and she treated me like a person and not just a customer and I really enjoy it there and it was my first time being there and she really help out because I didnt show up with tools and best experience I ever had
Its my favorite place to be. Everyone knows me and know its my safe haven
Horrible service waste of time and unhelpful employees just skip this one.
It was great! We dropped off a car and received the advertised price of $350 and then I was able to find a part for my damaged tail light on my other vehicle.
Its a great place to find used car parts stereo speaker wires with a knowledgeable friendly staff
Best premium car recycling business i have ever experienced very knowledgeable staff. The buying department was extremely helpful would recommend again.
They are very friendly here and very helpful Id recommend them to anyone
They charged me extra for fog lights because they looked like headlights in the cashiers opinion. They say they will sell you a headlight for $20 then you go up and they add $5 per bulb and $8 for the plug and $15 for the circuit board inside the light. Not very fair.
Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Easily accessible vehicles.
Terrible place. Took my car here, they offered $350 for it. After handing it over they claimed the exhaust had been tampered with, all a scam. Never will come back
The staff were helpful and knowledgeable. They helped me remove a tire from a rim I needed. The yard was well organized and well marked. I i will definitely be a repeat customer.
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and we found exactly what we needed!
Most dishonest place I have ever seen. These people are crooks. They stole our parts and made us pay to get them back.
Decent prices, reasonable yard. Employees Jess and Nicole are super friendly and helpful. I will come back. You should come too. Just don’t buy the parts I want. 😆
Good prices and service
Called them in Friday night so i could get a quote on a serpentine setup for my old car and they quote me $80-$90 which wasnt bad at all. I pulled the serpentine set up off and went to pay and it was $190 and i said they quoted me $80-$90 was unhappy about the price so i will be going back to my regular junk yard from now on. On top of that they charg you a core charge.
Honestly, I just needed to scrap out my old car for the most I could get for it. 👉Called around to get an idea of what it was worth and Tear-Apart gave me the best price.Dropped it off, got a solid/official quote (same as what was expected). We were in and out in about 20 min, cash in hand.Clean & friendly, no surprises, crisp cash 💰Thanks for considering the 🌎 Earth when recycling vehicles 🚗 (means a lot to us all).
Kind staff, fair prices.
I LOVE THIS PLACE! The manager Angie is fantastic and so great to work with. I visit a lot of junkyards and this Tear-a-Part is hands down the VERY BEST location, but I am mostly impressed with the super customer experience I get from Angela.
This is the cleanest, most organized junk yard I have ever been to. I would highly recommend this location! Great staff, easy return.
Found a door panel for my Toyota.... only 34 bucks including the switches! So crazy... The other customers that I ran into were super cool... one loaned me some tools I needed. When i was checking out they said i could return parts if it didnt work out. They marked them in red and off I went!Good experience. The team up front know their stuff. They can help you cross reference cars to see if other vehicles on the lot have the parts you need. They also have fountain drinks for a buck fifty and they let me have refills. I drank like 4 gallons before leaving. Im happy and I hope you have a similar experience.
This is my favorite salvage yard. Its nice to be walking on pavement at least half of the time. Great service too. Lyle Bailey
Multiple locations. Fair prices. Military discount. $1 for entry. Plenty of parking and wheelbarrows for parts. Highly recommend.
Great yard! Really clean and organized. Staff was really friendly and helpful. They have a hand wash station, drinking fountain, and fountain drinks available for customers. Big selection of cars that are all easy to get to and organized by make. Awesome warranty on car parts too. 30 days money back or 90 days in store credit. Will be coming back!
Came to look at a part with husband and daughter. Lady greets us by telling my husband he needs closed toe shoes... nothing else.. we return home for closed toe shoes, return.... together.. as we arrived the first time.. and she tells us no one under 18 can enter the yard.... Thanks a lot! My daughter and I would have stayed home when we had gone to get closed toe shoes!!
Awesome place with knockout prices. They even lend out tools if you forget yours at home.
Friendly, helpful staff. Clean. Organized.
My family set up an appointment to have a car towed to Tear A Part from Provo and when the day came, no show. We call and they say they never had an appointment for us and stated a higher amount for our car including an added amount for the inconvenience. Rescheduled for TODAY from 8-10 am and another no show. Very disappointed with both the treatment I experienced over the phone (2 of us called multiple times with no answer, will most likely be a problem contacting them again to see what went wrong) and the lack of consideration for a customers time.
Excellent place to get parts and to buy cars, the stuff it’s amazing and they always treat me like if I’m part of the tear a part family, I’ll give them not 5 but 10 stars ⭐️ review because they rock!!! Love you guys!
I was able to find the parts I needed.
I didnt find what I was looking for and they do not allow grinders in the yard. I needed a grinder to get what I was looking for, but went in and took a look. None of the trucks had what I needed.
Quite organized and extremely helpful. Price was great and fair.
I have never had a problem @ Tear-A-Part since they changed up the people who work in the front (the cashiers) They are very friendly, and helpful, and they do their best to help you find what you need. They dont know it all,but nobody does.People shouldnt whine about their yard rules - its a salvage yard - what do expect? Anyway I go there all the time (2 times a week or more) and love the place (save for the pricing by the inch that sort of blows) The people that had one bad trip to the place should really check it now - its a lot better than it used to be.Stan Jacobson Jr.
Good costumer service! Good pricing! 30 day part guarantee! Very well kept inside and out! Wouldve given 5 stars if they had a public restroom.Previous reviews complain about not being able to enter with open toed shoes, this should be understandable due to insurance liability. Also most salvage yards as with this one close the yard a half hour before closing. Will definitely be back!
This review is based on a single experience of selling one car to them.I called ahead on a Friday and told them I wanted to sell a car but I wanted to keep the rims and tires. I was told that would no be a problem. That Saturday I towed the car from 30 miles away. When I got there, I was told their forklift operator didnt work on Saturday. That I could leave the car in the parking lot and they would process the sale on Monday.I parked the car in the parking lot and removed the wheels. Did some paper work with them. The lady I worked with in the buying office was very friendly and worked in creative ways, so I didnt need to tow the car home and back again. On Monday, I returned and worked with another lady in the buying office who had all of my paper work processed and completed the sale.Over all I found the staff friendly the customer service very good. I would or will sell to them again.
Beware, if you go try and get a battery for the $19.99 plus a $10.00 core charge. So I took my old battery down so I did not have to pay a core charge. My ticket was $19.99 plus tax total $21.41. I had to return and try 3 different batteries and still did not get a good one, no problem. So I decided to just go a buy a new one and get a refund. They gave me back my $21.41 but would not give me a battery. They told me at the bottom of the receipt it states no refunds on cores which I do not have anymore. I did not want the $10.00 I just want my core back so when I went to buy a new one I would not have to pay core charge. (and they did $15.00) So when there policy is will refund your money with in 30 days dont go to bank and cash it. As a result they will not get any more of my business which Im sure wont hurt them. However I do have a lot of friends that will be informed of my experience.
I really like the organization of the yard and the ability to bust tires on your own to save money. I also enjoy the quality of cars and parts offered. The warranty is really nice too...its free.
Good prices, friendly staff, quick check out
Great prices and helpful staff.
Great place, found a deal of a lifetime and they were very helpful.
I love all of the employees they have at this location now, they are all very friendly, and helpful, and act like they actually want to be at work and they do their job really well. I couldnt be happier with them at this location now! They work well as a team and they are knowledgable about their inventory and pricing, on the parts. The parts department are badasses!
I like this place and offer various parts here. They fairly charge and have friendly staffs, clean front desk and routes better than other yards.
Pulled a radiator for my car I was told if it didnt work I could return it for my money back. so I get home install it to find it leaks, I pull it back out take it back and Im at that point told we can only offer you a credit at the yard, they didnt have another radiator I needed the money to buy another else where. So thanks to their differing policies based on who you talk to I was in a nice bind. Not to mention the staff treats you like your an inconvenience. Id give 0 stars if I could
So I was out there trying to pull the glass out of a Subaru Outback tailgate for about 2 hours (never did it before and figured patience was the key). I had about 20-30 minutes left and it was almost time for them to close so i figured i would be nice and let them go home. Came back the next morning and...the car was gone! I asked the office and they said it was crushed that morning! I asked Angela if it was crushed, crushed or just sent back to get crushed. She said she wasn’t sure but was willing to check. Turns out, it was in a stack of other cars with another car on top, but the tailgate glass was still OK. Alek, one of the yard crew staff, offered to try and pull the other car off the top and see if he could get the Subaru back out to the lot for a bit so I could finish the job. Thanks to the amazing service there from Angela and Alek, i was able to pull the glass, saving me another 2+ hours to start over on another one. THANK YOU GUYS. My road trip is back on!
I HAVE BEEN SELLING CARS TO THEM FOR 15 YEARS! THEY HIRED A NEW PERSON THAT HAS NO IDEA HOW CERTIFICATES OF SALE WORK AND HE TOLD ME THEY NO LONGER WILL TAKE THEM. THEY LEFT US IN A BIND SINCE WE GOT THE CAR OUT FOR THEM AND HAVE TO PAY TO MOVE IT AGAIN. WE HAVE USED THEM EVEN THOUGH THEY PAY LESS MONEY. WE WILL USE PULL-N-SAVE AND GET MORE MONEY WITH LESS PROBLEMS. WE MEET WITH ALL THE TOW COMPANYS IN UTAH EVERY 1 TO 2 MONTHS AND WILL MAKE SURE THEY LOOSE MORE THAN OUR BUSINESS
Not impressed. Paid to go in, didnt say nothing about my son going in. Waited till we went through the door & then said ge couldnt go in. 18 and over is the age. How do they know the age of a person. They dont check, just assume because of height. Then the company threw a fit because I wanted my money back. If we cant go in, why should we pay.
After reading all these reviews, I was very hesitant to go into Tear Apart, however, I had no choice, due to lack of wrecking yards in Ogden. Upon walking in, I was greeted by 3 or 4 very polite employees. They immediately helped me and looked up my truck. They did not have any F350s, however, they went as far as checking all the inventory in their yard for parts that may work. They were very helpful and organized in telling me where the cars were and the yard is very clean and taken care of! I think all of these negative comments are completely uncalled for! What business can you go into and trade for parts? The hours are also clearly posted on the front door, so Im not sure of the confusion and to why all the negative comments. Business hours are what they are! These people who work there have families too.Anyone that has been reluctant to go to Tear Apart because of the reviews, I ask that you just go see for yourself!
I would never use this company ever! I needed to sell a car due to my sister in law wrecking hers traveling to school. Made a verbal agreement with them on the terms of selling the car for $200 once we got them the title do to the fact we were out of state and they unfortunately were the closed wrecking yard closes to my sister in laws accident. They went back on there agreement and told us what they thought the terms where they lied up and down that we were in the wrong. they said the car could sit on their lot for one week till we could mail them the title. they then went back on their word and had it impounded by a tow company 2 days after our verbal agreement. they gave me the number to the tow company and that number goes straight to a voice mail and no one will return my call. this is a situation where they know we have no power being out of state to control or take any action against them. They are a lying cheating people sure the place is nice but only because they are taking advantage of people and cheating them out of what they have. I now have a car that is impounded in some lot with a title in the mail headed to pull apart with no agreement on their part now to pay what we had agreed upon when we were in there office. I wish $200 was worth taking these thieves to court to sue their butts for all its worth but its no. so the best I can do is warn others of this bad business.... steer clear very very clear of tear apart!! if do you have to work with them get everything in writing!! also dont work with Natalie or Rob at their facility or they will tear apart any agreement you have with them that will benefit them!
Tear a Part is easy to use and access. The staff was pleasant and friendly. I have been there 4or 5 times now. They had what I was looking for and pricing was fair.
Unfriendly and rude! When you ask them for a supervisor they get in your face and call you boy use derogatory language and try to fight you. Wouldnt let me enter with my son. Right after me they let 15yr of go in with his father.
Most of the car are destroy dead lights seats radios Puri much everything is missing all the stuff I looking for it
Kameron was awesome! He bought my Jeep at a fair price!
Tear a Part OgdenBought a Hood that was supposed to be interchangeable with my make and model of car according to a printout obtained by the tear-a-part staff. When checking out the cashier asks do you want a warranty?Definition of warranty according to Merriam-Webster:Definition of WARRANTYplural warranties1a: a real covenant binding the grantor of an estate and the grantors heirs to warrant and defend the titleb : a collateral undertaking that a fact regarding the subject of a contract is or will be as it is expressly or by implication declared or promised to be2: something that authorizes, sanctions, supports, or justifies: WARRANT3: a usually written guarantee of the integrity of a product and of the makers responsibility for the repair or replacement of defective partsOf course knowing the definition of warranty and figured they charge for said warranty, so we declined the offer. When we realized not all parts interchange equally, we found the receipt. The receipt clearly states that you can return your items within 30 days for a refund. When we arrived back at the business to exchange the hood for another they said they would not honor the 30 day refund because we did not get the warranty.Warranty is for the repair or replacement of defective parts, there was nothing wrong with the part and it was not defective. They refused to explain why they require a “warranty” to allow a customer to return items, only stating that “some people get upset when we warranty their purchases, so we have to ask each customer.” That doesn’t even make any sense. So I asked them, “How much does the “warranty” cost?” they replied, “It’s free”. If it’s free shouldn’t you give it to all of your customers or get rid of it all together, well unless you are intentionally trying to rip off your customer. So they use the term “Warranty” without explaining that without it, it prevents you from returning anything no matter what the receipt says. Once the offer for “Warranty” is denied they stamp the top of your receipt with a red hard to read ink stamp.Knowing that most reasonable people would identify the term “Warranty” as an up sale on products that are being purchased in case the products are defective and knowing that most reasonable people will decline a warranty so they don’t have to exchange or refund anything. In this case we still needed a hood that was the correct size. So I am out the money on the first hood because of their predatory practices, and am forced to purchase a second hood. So through their deceptive way of doing business they doubled their sales to me.People that use these types of places usually can’t afford to buy new parts but need to keep their cars running. So Tear-a-Parts policy is just another way to take advantage of their customer. They may have ripped me off, but I won’t take it laying down.
There’s better places in Utah to get parts for your car than this place. Management is the worst. They have no respect for their employees. If I could, I would not even give them a star!
I tried selling a vehicle to them with a title under my name of ownership and they refused because the title showed America First credit union. Even though I have full ownership th they need a release form from lean holder. But yet their website shows that they accept vehicles with no titles. Doesnt make sense
$1 to get in a look to see if they have the part you need. Though they didnt have what I came for I got a couple of other things.
Excellent customer service! We really appreciate all the support, they sell good parts at the best price in Utah, the inventory is really nice
I think that it is a great adventure
I lost my phone there ....
Very Unprofessional group of employees.Should work on Organizing their lot also get some knowledgeable ppl behind the desk....................
Tear A part its a rip off there staff are not professional and they dont know how to treat their customers. Definitely not a good junk yard, I dont recommend it.
Allows you to return parts within 30 days. This is awesome. All the whining about parts not working and customer service is ridiculous, this is a junk yard!!!
Its clean & organized and great prices. I was greeted yesterday morning by a very rude girl who didnt want to be bothered with my questions at all and her attitude was horrible. If you can avoid a dark haired clerk who obviously hates her job youll quite enjoy the place
Shouldnt you guys be on your spring summer hours now? Winter is over, and the days are longer. When do you switch over? Thats the only reason for a 3 star, is that, and a couple times I show up at 4, and the yard was closing. Ive been having to go to 17th street, or all the way to SLC for parts because of this. Id rather get them closer.
Did a quick Google search said they were open till 6 looked like a decent place. Drove up from brigham the whole family its summer time were all in flip flops and saddles, werent allowed in bc of that. Did BUISNESS else where. Id give it a higher star rating but due to the circumstances couldnt
