I went there and the people were very friendly they were very helpful and I enjoyed my stay and I feel very safe and secure with my stuff there and feel that they are very confident in fixing what I need fixed I enjoyed them very immensely

Prices here are reasonable. The owners wife was friendly and knowledgeable.They have a good assortment of parts and quite a few used boats for sale.

They take forever to get your boat fixed but its a family-owned business and theyre very considerate and they eventually get the job done right

I called asked to talk to somebody about some props and the lady pushed me on hold forever and then tells me she aint got nobody there right now so no she cant give me no information really

Boats been sitting for 6weeks. Just needs an impeller. Stopped in last Saturday after I called and was told over phone boat was being worked on that very moment. Got a bad vibe over phone so stopped in. Boat was still out in the paster of his shop. Larry had to find the work order. Was told he would work on it Sunday and call me Monday when done. Larry called me Wednesday and asked if I had keys to boat. Told Larry I put them in his hands when I dropped boat off 6wks ago. Hung up on me tried calling back and no answer. Today Larry calls again and asks me again if I have the keys. Told him again that I gave them to him when I dropped boat off 6wks ago. Larry replied okay we will get on it and hung up. So guess who is going to get his boat and take it to a place that is more organized and not lost in their own little world!! Disappointed beyond belief. Sad way to run a business. Dont recommend to anyone.

I have been dealing with Larry at Southern since I moved to Ocala FL in 1997. Larry is bullet proof he is fair and knowledgeable. There is another much larger marine store in Ocala FL. That is impersonal and I get a ride vibe from. But not Larry he treats you with the same respect if you are spending five dollars or five thousand. Good folks good work, fair price.

Mr Larry and his staff are top notch! I purchase all my parts and count on them when our boat needs professional assistance! I would highly recommend these folks if you are looking for honest service! Businesses that give you personal, family oriented service are very hard to find. These folks are the real deal! Recommend them to anyone!

Friendly service. Was just disappointed that the part we needed was quoted on the phone yesterday at a cheaper price then we were told today in the store. Becky said the price went up that quickly. Almost $20.00 more.

Absolute worst shop to put your trust into my parents took their pontoon boat there I was down on vacation when we got the boat back from having the carburetors rebuilt and new steering cable total came to $1500+ Owner said everything was tested and in good running order took the boat out that day was only running on two out of the three cylinders with fuel dumping out of the top carburetor Took it back apparently they went in and did some float adjusting and said everything was good to go again Took it right out that they continue to do the same thing.. i’ve been a mechanic for many years working on small engines and vehicles professionally and on the side I pulled the top carburetor off and inspected it it was clear that there had been no rebuilt done everything was old and corroded so the carburetors were not rebuilt and my parents were charged $600 just for the rebuild I made videos took pictures confronted the owner about it and his son the owner walked back to the mechanic this son pulled out a carburetor kit from their shelves which did not match the one that was supposedly done Clearly the work was not completed I got into it with the owner he had no answer for my findings clearly they’re ripping people off not expecting them to do their research or dig into issues since then they replace the carburetor and everything is been fin clearly the work was not completed I got into it with the owner he had no answer for my findings clearly they’re ripping people off not expecting them to do their research or dig into issues since then they replace the carburetor!! altogether they got over $2000 for my parents ripping them off they took approximately 15 gallons of fuel out of the boat Old parts for resell I would not recommend this business to anyone do your homework make sure you know what you’re getting into and always ask for your old parts back !

They had my boat for 5 weeks. Left it uncovered in the rain letting water get into my engine I couldnt get a straight answer from anyone Parts desk told me several different things Mechanic said something completely different from the other stories seemed like the mechanic could care less since he gets paid regardless They replaced a brand new part that I put on with the exact same thing and said that was the problem 40 dollar part and 80 in labor 5 weeks for a part I replaced in 15 minutes I pick it up and he says it should be fine. Call back if not Should be? Of course 15 minutes in the lake and its dead in the water. Thanks for filling my cylinders with water and causing more issues than when I dropped it off Theres a reason hes the cheapest labor in Ocala ... Might be a fine shop for part and supplies but my repair experience was horrible

Honest, friendly, wouldnt take my boat anywhere else. Does all my boat work and has for years.

Great HONEST people here !! I just popped in without a appointment with a computer issue. And Larry (the owner) and Brad( service tech) both helped me find my problem. Without charging me a crazy fee !!. It took 5 minutes and saved me days of headache. They have always did a great job and I wont use Anyone else !!!.

Very very bad communication and service... Told me would take a week and half to fix skis.....had them over a month.. Went to pick up the jet skis and they werent even put back together and they did not fix them but charged me $500... Told Larry the owner thats not good business.. he said he would take care of me by Monday..this was on a Saturday... A week later still nothing...... They need to just shut that place down before they kill someone

They had my boat for 6 weeks. Never called with an update. They said motor was blown and sent to Tampa. I had to go there in the back and my motor was not even touched. So I took my boat back. Thanks for nothing.

Took my boat to this place 5 times to get the outboard fixed and it still didnt get fixed even though they said they fixed it. We took it to Still Waters Marina and they fixed it for $134.00. So if you dont want to get ripped off go there.

Nice people and the only boat parts store to carry a good supply of parts for older Johnsons.

This place is nothing but a big rip off they took money from me and my boat still was not fix,, also done my brother the same way just yesterday, I know a lot of guys with boats but I will never ever tell anyone to take those boat to this place,,,,complete rip off...

They had the lower unit seals that I needed same day. So that was awesome.

Larry and the gang went above and beyond to fix my mercury outboard.we were all stumped what the problem was at first and larry had a bunch of hours in diagnostics but figured it out and only charged me for the actual repair.A+ service he will do all my service work from now on.forget the other guys with their large lead times and huge prices.
