Great place to swing by and work if you like working remotely in coffee shops.... The coffee is great, the iced cortado was very foamy which is hard to achieve with an iced coffee beverage and in the hot South Florida summer it is a very nice and refreshing drink!The coffee shop is very welcoming, everyone inside is friendly and helps you find something tasty to drink if its your first time. This was my first time here and I found it to be a great coffee shop!Oh and there is a ton of seating options inside and outside! Making this a great spot to hangout with friends, have a meeting, or just grab a coffee and relax.

Amazing, intrepid and unique coffee shop of the future.As more coffee shops evolve, chains like Starbucks become pedantic and typical. Switch box is ATYPICAL...roasting its own beans, custom grinding to order much smaller and more valuable coffee beans. You pay more for coffee you have ground, but the other prices are more realistic than the goofy $6.99 coffee monstrosities at Sbucks.This is the REAL DEAL if you want extraordinarily well made brew. Starbucks doesn’t even compare.

Stopped in for a tea. The place was very clean and organized. Plenty of room to do work and relax. They have a little magazine and book area. Prices are average. The lady that helped me was really nice and not overtly friendly. They sell some coffee items and their own coffee. This is someplace I would check out on my down time or to get away from the Basics.

Nice to see some quality coffee in Oakland Park. Switchbox offers pour overs and good iced coffee. The place has seating and people work on their laptops. I wish they had more comfy seats. They also have food including pastries I will have to return before passing judgment on them. Staff were friendly

Best sandwiches in the city! I often daydream about these sandwiches and when Im not in the neighborhood Ill uber eats their sandwiches to fix my cravings (like I did today).Their Dutch crunch is so good and by far my favorite is the Sam Spade sandwich. The sandwich tastes fresh, their sauces are on point and the sandwiches dont fall apart or get soggy like Ikes or those other sandwiches... big fan.

Inviting atmosphere, great coffee, delicious baked goods and awesome staff. This place is my idea of a great coffee shop! Ordered a cappuccino, a banana coconut loaf warmed up and a bread pudding muffin thing. Will definitely be back!

Best looking coffee shop in south Florida! The coffee is excellent, world class, the food is also very very good. We come every year when we come on vacation, a must see for coffee lovers.

Very open and computer friendly. Coffee is roasted in house and is fresh. Plus all their baked goods are sweet and my personal favorite is the sea salt chocolate chip cookie (which they can warm up.)

Okay, so I’m going to start this review off with ONE really BIG complaint ... that is, they are not closer to my house hehe. I’ve only been here once but I’m already obsessed ! I live 30 minutes away but I will literally drive to Fort Lauderdale just to come here. The atmosphere is great and that staff were amazing and so friendly, kind, helpful... everything you would want from a coffee shop. The coffee is Amazing! I had a nitro (which I had trouble drinking ... it was really good just hard on my sensitive stomach) and the staff was so kind that they switched it out for an almond milk latte at no extra charge ! WOW, just wow ... please, pretentious coffee shops with terrible $6 coffees take notes ;) . This is real customer service and what keeps people coming back. Last but most definitely NOT least, I was recommend a vegan pumpkin and it was the BEST I’ve ever had, vegan or not. I know you’re probably thinking “this chick must be having one hell of a day cause this review is just over the top”, but rest assured this day is like any other lol. I just can’t wait to come back... stop thinking about it and GO! You won’t be disappointed.

Excellent coffee, service, and environment. It’s a pricier coffee house but you get what you pay for and it’s worth it. Even my husband who’s critical of coffee loved his drip coffee. I highly recommend this coffee house. Very good!

Coffees good but service could be friendlier. Forgot order - no apology. Seating is weird. Tables too high, chairs too low. Very uncomfortable if you wanted to work or stay for any length of time.

Comfortable, enjoyable coffee shop in downtown Oakland Park. The coffee was rich and fresh, and made to order. Food takes a while to get made, over 10 minutes, and the menu is short, but if you are looking for a leisurely coffeeshop experience, this is a good choice.

If you’re looking for what you’d HOPE Switchbox would’ve provided, I guarantee you’ll be pleased with this place. They’re serving people with food, coffee, pastries and the like (during COVID with regulations in place) and the decor and vibes were excellent.I got an espresso and a latte (I don’t drink coffee often). They were great and I’d go again.

Im admittedly not a coffee drinker, but this place delivers regardless. Loved the Arnold Palmer and the quiche was excellent! Great texture and full of flavor and veggies. Everyone working was beyond friendly and made me feel like a regular even though it was my first visit. Love the feel of the cafe, with bar seating, an open layout, and warm decor, and eating outside adds freshness and warmth you cant get inside. I cant wait to try all the delicious looking pastries and snacks.

Switchbox is a great local coffee spot with an open air feel and a hip vibe. Plenty of unique and eclectic seating both indoors and outside to feed whatever kind of space your look g for I your coffee shop. Then theres the coffee which is an excellent selection of your various lattés and espresso that weve come to expect in the post Starbucks world. Oh and the baked goods are something to behold for sure. Overall a great experience in Oakland Park.

Pumpkin coffee. They had pumpkin coffee. Not pumpkin spice, pumpkin. It’s a great, quiet place to go have a cup of really good coffee and relax. There’s one guy that always remembers me when I walk in, wish I could remember his name, but he’s always working the front counter. I always recommend this place to my friends.

Was down visiting family, what better way then to stop by Switchbox for some amazing coffee! Tried their cold brew (brazil on tap this day) it was the smoothest most refreshing cold brew I have had in a while. No bitter after taste and no cream or sugar added. The lay out of the store was amazing and I love how the owner had taken their left over coffee bags that the green beans are shipped in and turned them into seat cushions! We will be back for sure!

Any time I can I drive to get coffee here. Their vanilla syrup taste like REAL vanilla, and not the other crappy artificial kind other places have. They always have delicious treats, and almost always haven gluten free and vegan options. The environment is great, and is an awesome place for a casual meeting, or even work space (they have a communal desk!)

Look no further for GOOD coffee!!! This gem not only offers some of the best made coffee but the environment and staff make it exceptional. Staff is also very well versed in their coffee selections, processing and origins of the beans. You will always be greeted with a smile! The vanilla latte is one of my absolute favorite menu items!

The switchbox is a great place to start a conversation with friends around great coffee and pastries. Highly recommend this place as it feels like a break from the fast pace of a Starbucks. With a industrial themed interior, Switchbox is a great place to just hang out or decompress over a great cup of coffee. Parking is a breeze and the staff is friendly. Would definitely come back.

This place is one of the most unpretentious craft coffee places I have been to in Fort Lauderdale. The staff is super friendly, the food is great, and the cold brew coffee is strong and refreshing. They have a really open air design and you can watch the coffee process behind the bar which is always cool because you get to see where your food comes from. The space is laid back and is prime for working, chilling out, or meeting up with friends. They have outdoor seating available, and if the weather is nice I would definitely sit outside.

The finest coffee spot in the county! Their pour over coffee options are incredible, the espresso is fantastic, and the ambiance is relaxed. The Guatemalan and Peru roasts are splendid! I had mine brewed via clever dripper option but you can do a chemex and another type as well. Friendly folk who really care about their product. Well done.

I was a regular customer and enjoyed the coffee at switchbox. They closed without explanation for a few months and then reopened under new management. I showed up this morning for the first time under the new management. I saw two people enter the store, Parked my car, and went for coffee.I read the sign, which said 8 am. Since I saw two plain clothes people enter and the door was open, I asked someone inside if they were open. He answered unintelligibly and rudely told me to read the sign.Definitely be management. Not your standard switchbox attitude. I wont be back. New management bought the business and brought a miserable person to greet customers. No thanks. Starbucks is always nice.

Very cool coffee shop thats serious about coffee. Great, friendly staff who are very knowledgeable and passionate about their coffee. Lots of seating and some big tables. We tried the cold brew flight and all samples were great and showed the various brewing methods available.

Everyone that works there is friendly and inviting. They take time to talk to you and explain things if you have any questions. Ive been three times, and the drip coffee has been delicious each time.The last time I had gone they were closed fixing something, but had free coffee outside for everyone to take.

Went for the first time and had the Ethiopian prepared with hot water being poured over the grounds (don’t know the lingo) and MAN, what a cup of coffee. Don’t even think of spoilling it with sugar or cream. What a neat spot....

What a gem for craft coffee in Oakland Park! When traveling for work, I try to find the coffee artisans who know whats up and this husband and wife duo nailed it. The coffee is roasted on site and the flavors are amazing; both the nitro on tap and espresso drinks are smooth and delicious. The vibe is a perfect blend of Denver meets South Florida; custom wood bars with plenty of seating inside and out. If you know your coffee then get to know Switchbox on your next visit to OP.

We drive all the way from Pompano Beach to Ft. Lauderdale Switchbox in crazy traffic. Yes Yes Yes, Its that good. I always get a fresh brew, then buy beans to take home. The beans are always fresh roasted with the stamp on the bag. Dont miss out on this fabulous coffee and nice atmosphere.

They were offering a single drip variety, which was eerily similar to Dunkin Donuts, which is a weak flavor IMHO. I may give this place a second try in the hopes of getting better tasting coffee. The Afro-Cuban heavy music is not conducive to studying or relaxing talks over coffee. Not a top-level coffee experience.

Really Nice Atmosphere. Coffee is good, but food is a bit on the expensive side for it to be pre-made.

Its the anti-Starbucks. With a distinctive left coast vibe, Switchbox is both hipster and comfy at the same time. They have a fairly simple menu featuring house roasted drip and espresso paired with more unique items like cold brewed nitro coffee. Its like the love child of coffee and stout. They do have some nice locally sourced munchies and loose tea if thats more your thing. Oh yeah, refills on the drip coffee makes this non-hipster caffeine VERY happy.

Great coffee. Extremely high end coffee - for a true expert - but also for the layman. No more expensive than a Starbucks, but the quality is fantastic. The food is all baked goods, fresh and delicious. Free WiFi, clean bathrooms.

Such a great experience. Very knowledgeable staff, who gave great recommendations on which of their freshly roasted coffees I should take home. I loved their selection of toasts, I wish I could have tried more. I tasted the portabella and the caprese. I also enjoyed both a coffee and espresso, both were excellent. All this and their space is beautiful too! Definitely worth a visit.

Coffee is good, location excellent, parking easy peasy. Outdoor seating is unappealing and uncomfortable. I think they were going for the reclaimed wood idea, but it is horribly ugly and makes you not want to stay long. Food options are limited and bakery frequently stale.

Words cant describe how awesome this place is. The owners are amazing the staff us awesome. There are some people who love coffee and love there customers.

They serve high quality coffee drinks, plus a few other select offerings (hot chocolate, kombucha, Etc).They also have a varied selection of sweet and savory small bites such as cookies pastries and empanadas. My selections from this category were delicious and high-quality.There is ample seating ranging from comfortable chairs two stools at a counter and outdoor seating as well. This seems like a good place to get together with friends for coffee, or just chill out and study or work.

Love this place. The quality of the coffee and the knowledge and ability of the baristas makes me feel like Im in the Pacific Northwest. They have great pastries including vegan and gluten free options (GF quiche!). I also appreciate how friendly they are to my 4 year old. She actually specifically asks to come here.

The decor is old style industrial, but very barebones. The coffee had a strange after taste reminiscent of it having been burned. The staff is uninterested and unhelpful. Not an experience to be repeated.
