Great place to work. I have been at AMI for almost seven years, and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here. The employees are friendly, and there is good cooperation between the different departments. The owners are honest, hardworking, down-to-earth people who are very easy to work for. The work itself is both challenging and interesting. Our products are heavily engineered and meticulously crafted for use in cutting-edge scientific research applications, and we back them up with excellent customer support. I would 100% recommend AMI both as an employer and a supplier.

I have enjoyed my time with American Magnetics. They are a great group of people who are dedicated to personal growth and development. Every department has a level of intelligence and knowledge that they are all willing to impart on fellow employees. I would recommend both them on both fronts, as an employer and a consumer.

If you care about working hard, and efficiently then this place is defineatly not for you. Where laziness is rewarded and Over time is set in place intentionally by other employees from purposely working slow to lying about what may have happened about the product you may have worked on, so that way they can cover themselves. You will surely find yourself looking to find another job after 4 months. The job itself is awesome and educational however other than what was said managment also has unrealistic expectations. The job can be very messy and not sure if it is because management has never layed down over 60 layers of wire in their 5+ hour shifts, they expect the product to be super clean in places that epoxy easily gets to but you can not clean without risks. Not to mention they expect everyone to never make small mistakes even tho they can easily be fixed.

This place is horrible to work at...unless you love drama and conflict, then you will fit right in!! This place made me physically sick with so much stress!! There is no management, the employees all have little cliques and do what they want! And dont bother looking for help from the bosses, they will just smile and do nothing!! And When the sales manager/supervisor quits you know its just going to get worse!!!

Many issues. Go to Cryomagnetics Inc in Oak ridge, TN. Sales team is the only good thing they have.

Did not agree with how things were done here, has a chance at greatness but certain people hold them back.
