The store seemed too big for its available inventory as there were rows of empty shelves. They also had an abundance of clearance merchandise. This could be because of the recent closing of the Knoxville store. Their magazine selection was smaller than what the Knoxville store carried. I was a fairly regular customer at the Knoxville store, but I will be back whenever I am in Oak Ridge.

Love this store. Always clean and chill. Lots of neat things besides books too.

BAM Oak Ridge always has the best books, the best coffee and the best prices!As a Witch, I love, love how the Alternative Spirituality section is front and center.They have many sections, and many books....go take a look.

So I want to start off by saying all of the staff at this location are WONDERFUL! Very kind, super helpful, never make you feel like you’re asking a stupid question. They aren’t the problem with this location at all. They’re lovely and don’t deserve any backlash.My problem with this particular BAM location is that so many of the books are very badly damaged. I realized after my visit today that I rarely make purchases here because the books are damaged more often than not. And this isn’t minor scuffs or a little dirt. Books here are often ripped, have shelf wear so bad you’d think they were owned for years, and most of the time both the back and front covers are creased and folded.As a customer, I don’t get enthusiastic about spending $20 for a book that’s torn to pieces. I regularly buy or am gifted used books in better condition.Today’s visit I entered the store with six books in mind. Every single one that I found was unforgivably damaged. Needless to say, this was another visit where I left without purchasing anything.

Always spend way more time in here than I planned. So many great kids books and toys. Found a screaming goat, too!

A little pricey. I havent tried there coffee section but will try to soon. They can some how rope you into there membership and donations pretty easy if your not paying attention.

Huge selection! Sandy was EXTREMELY helpful and told me exactly where Id find what I was looking for (C.S. Lewis Mere Christianity). Plus, I received some cool extras!

Love going here to get my books for personal use and also for work. Great customer service and wide selection of books. The selection of books is very impressive in my opinion. They have self help books to anime. Most of the time there are at least 3-4 employees to help customers find the books they need and to offer recommendations.

It was a nice book store. I just moved to Tennessee and had never seen that store before and didnt know what to expect. Turns out it was very similar to Barnes and Noble. Not a bad thing just thought it was more of a used or small time local bookstore.The staff was super friendly and it was neat and well organized.

The employees at this location were extremely kind and helpful to check some of the prices of items that I wasnt sure about. They do have a decent amount of clearance bins for $2-3, highly recommend looking through.I am disappointed in the company overall that they dont price match but I get thats a bigger issue.

Littered with used books but nice to see a brick and mortar store still around. Layout or store was poorly done. Wanted $25.00 to get my information to sell... But I will be back.

I wish we had a book store a little closer to home. Since we dont we almost always stop by when in Oak Ridge. Its a great place to spend a day reading, and an ideal spot to study when one needs to get away from home and work. Joe Muggs coffee is better than the Starbucks in the area. Recommend the peanut butter banana frappe when they have it. Cherry Mocha was great.

It was very good, the staff was very helpful. They had a very wide variety of books, and plenty of cool items to look at and buy!

I came in looking for DnD stuff, like the nerd I am, and found alot. There was such a great array of books and everything I needed. Cant wait to come back and get more.

I ask to come here- aLoT ;w; honestly to me it’s the best bookstore in the state, customers are really nice to me especially since I’m really shy around any strangers/employees, yesterday I had asked were anything related to the legend of Zelda was, It was really easy finding it! (Also if your wanting the manga it’s in the manga area, I forgot about the game books-) I’m pretty sure the employees name was either Daniel or Lucas, he was extremely nice and helped a lot 😌✨💕

If I could give them negative 100 reviews that would not be enough. They are freaking thieves. My husband and I went there about a month ago, and as we were checking out, the cashier said that for free we could get some magazine subscription, and that there would be no charge for the first month and we would receive an email. Well guess what? No email came through ( I check my emails regularly), and we got charged. I am not the first one to have this happen to. Will never go into another store again. What an absolute rip off.

Didnt have what Id like to have but I guess thats the way it go. But it did have a lot of books.

Loved the collection here. Has its own for little cafe in the corner. Definitely a readers den. Would love to there again and recommend people. I found it economic and also the staff here is very helpful!

They will order a book for you if they dont have it. I have only had to order once though, because they have an up to date and wide selection. I especially like the in store cafe with all kinds of coffees and desserts. Easy access into lot and store.

Books a million is starting to feel like Borders right before the end. This location like most I have visited seems to have a selection that feels like it hasnt sold in ages, a throwback to the days where your sales rep had no idea what they were doing, and this is the final result; product that you really dont want to spend money on. Overall this location was clean but the shelves I perused were loaded with last years stuff and I found little reason to pull out my wallet.If there wasnt a Barnes to compete it would be okay but sadly that isnt the case.

This is probably the best BAM in the greater Knoxville area. Its clean, well-organized, and well-stocked with books! A great stop for gifts. Also, theres a large section in the rear of the store thats full of bargain priced books, with a good selection under 7 dollars.

For the most part, just glad its there. Especially now that Ive been made aware of poor human factors when dealing with Amazon. Ive gotten better deals here, too. Also they sell used stuff and have a huge selection. Take the trip and get outta the house. We had a meeting here for NanoWrimo, which was perfect. I think you can get a table set up to tabletop game here too.

This is just like any other Books-A-Million. Clean, quiet, and they always have what Im looking for. Watch out for the membership they push though, they wont tell you it costs money until its time to pay and you realize your total is too high.

Love the books. The variety is wonderful, as theres at least a little bit for everyone, even kids. There are even cool little trinkets available like key chains. I must admit I could get lost here if it were 24/7, but sadly, its pretty expensive and not a library.

They had the book I was looking for, a recent publication, and the clerk walked with me to point it out on a display table. Books-A-Million has a different vibe from that of Barnes and Noble. I like both stores. BAM has many more publisher returns and bargain tables and is more laid back. They also feature an amazing variety of magazines.

They have the best crossword puzzle books for hubby! We also bought Brian Kilmeads 3 paperback books and found a Nicholas Sparks book for $4.79. Love to read BOOKS!

I love the large variety of books they offer. Im not usually a big box store fan. After the local used book store moved out of town I visited several big book stores and finally found this location. Been a big fan every since. They also carry a good selection of records for us older crowd that long for that one of a kind sound.

Its clean, neat, easy to find items... That being said... Not much help from the staff!! I was quite surprised, that they will follow you to make sure youre not stealing... But, when you ask for help... Youre kinda on your own 🤷🏼 CRAZY!!!

I Love this store! The staff is extremely polite and helpful. And over at Joes they know how to make a mean cup of hot cocoa or iced coffees.

Great place to find your next great read with helpful signs and creatively categorized books. Books a million has all the new titles and a lot of great classics in a comforting atmosphere. With everything from millions of books and unique character themed mugs to pusheens and fuzzy blankets to accompany that great book you just bought, its a great place to spend an afternoon browsing their books and merchandise.

Great Khalis to buy books and other things. Nice area to sit, enjoy a good cup of coffee or hot chocolate and a snack while you read.

Ahhh... Books.Books, the real ones, are a dying breed. Everyone seems to think digital is the only way to go... WRONG! There is NOTHING like holding a real book, engrossed in the narrative, anxious to turn the page. The Atmosphere here is great. Theyre not just books. Theyre toys, collectibles, comics, cards, magazines and a coffee shop. Whenever I go in I usually spend at least an hour. There is so much to look at. I love this store. The staff are so knowledgeable and polite. If you love books, this store is for you!
