I scheduled two vehicles for windshield and side window replacement at my home. On the 1st car (side window) they called and needed to re-schedule due to technician availability, and asked if we could bring it by the store with an appointment that would be faster. My daughter took her care and got it replaced at their shop. A little later than scheduled, but thats OK... after the storm everyone is over-run and they did get it done.On my wifes car, they called (day of appointment) and gave me a different excuse for their technician not going to be there and could we re-schedule... I accepted their lame excuse, (they tried the same thing for shop service... we can get you in faster if you will bring it into the shop...) I chose to take the later date, only to have that appointment canceled at the last minute, after waiting for them, and again they tried to get me to come into their shop. This was just not a good option for us and I found a more reliable service company that came when they said they would.My opinion... dont schedule field technicians for more than they can do, rather than the bait and switch service plan.Just be honest with the customer.

I dropped my car off at 9:30 this morning after booking an appointment online. I showed up at 4:45 seeing my car in the exact same spot that I had left it, with the same damage from the hail storm a couple of weeks ago. Flustered, I explained that I had to go to work the next morning and was just going to cancel. While the man behind the desk went to check the status of my car, another man walked in with the exact same grievance. He blew me off when I told him I was there for the same reason. It made me realize:These people are human beings. They weren’t staffed for a storm that knocked out probably an entire city. I put myself in their shoes and now I feel terrible for complaining. The man, (I wish I had gotten his name) was super polite and made sure I got taken care of. The woman behind the counter kept her composure the best she could dealing with irate customers for what I’m sure have been for the last couple of weeks.Cut these people some slack. They’re doing the best they can. They close at 5 and I picked up my car at 5:45 with other cars still being serviced. They’re working later to help us.I took away one star just because I tried to call and no one answered. That’s it.

These guys are experts! Shop may be a but crowded, but thats because there is a lot of demand. Theyre appointment times are accurate, they know how long it will take. The guys doing the work know exactly what to do. Very pleased with their service.

Dont use this place. Had an appointment set a week before dropping my vehicle off. I Dropped it off 6am Monday morning they still had not touched my vehicle at 530pm. 😡😡😡Ridiculous!!! Annoying. I had to cancel my whole evening of work. No one could tell me why its taking so long

I scheduled an appointment for Tuesday between 12 and 5pm, at 4 pm, I received a phone call from Safelite letting me know that although they have my windshield, their technician had been “injured” so I agreed that I would reschedule for Wednesday. On Wednesday at 4:20, they called and told me the “call center” had scheduled my appointment without their knowledge, except the call center did not. The shop was who called to reschedule the original appointment. Anyway, he said, he doesn’t know why they would do that because their tech was so still “injured” and they didn’t have anybody else that could do it. Needless to say, I fired them and will never so business with that Safelite again.

Very unprofessional. Talking to and getting information from a customer in the store while Im listening on the phone. Wasnt asked to hold either. Windshield looks good. But now my dash is rattling. Only went here because GEICO has direct payment setup with them. Not very happy. Also noticed in the other negative reviews, the only reply from the owner was Sorry. ???

An absolute rip off, I dont see why the insurance company trust this place when they claim theyre going to repair your chip in the windshield but they dont guarantee it. They didnt Bitmore repair/seal anything, they put a little bit of silicone in my windshield to make it look good for a week, than of course my chip grew into a crack. It is so totally worth going to a low cost auto glass place and replacing your whole windshield instead of waiting for two hours even though you have an appointment at safelite ripoff autoglass. Like the song says, 🎶Safelite DONT repair, Safelite replace 🎵

Got my windshield replaced last month after the hail storm and so far, its been great! Didnt experience any problems. Dropped my car off early morning and received a call for pickup later in the afternoon.

On 4/1/21, I brought my vehicle in to have the windshield replaced. I was told they didnt have my windshield in stock and they ordered it while I stood there. I was quoted the price of $413, plus tax etc. Today, they replaced my windshield and afterwards charged me a total of $679. When I asked why I was quoted over $200 less, Theresa who was working the front desk, rudely said she didnt know, shes not the one quoted it to me. When I asked for a breakdown of the parts, labor, and moldings, which totaled $613, she refused to provide me with one. I asked how much the windshield cost by itself and Theresa responded $613. I said no, that was the total for the parts, labor, and moldings together. I wanted to know how much each one was separately. She continued to refuse to give me a breakdown. She was rude and unprofessional, and even laughed at me as I walked out after having to pay more than $200 more than I was quoted with no explanation or even breakdown given. My advice is to avoid this location if you want fair business practice. Theresa is rude and unprofessional, and is either incapable of providing a breakdown of costs, or simply just refuses to do so.

Made an appointment and took it in and they say they don’t have a windshield. Made a additional appointment for a week later and take it in now they say they don’t have the correct equipment to do the job. No communication at all and cost me more money and time by them not calling me the day before or days prior to do this. I went in for appointment which was scheduled for 3 hours and that’s what I was told, how do you not inform the customer ahead of time or do all your research before scheduling??

Drove almost 2 hours for an available time slot and they ordered the wrong windshield! Not this location. My time,, gas, toll roads. Have an another appointment tomorrow at 10 a.m. at a different location because of a cancelation. We will see tomorrow!

Had appointment to replace a defective windshield safelite in Utah did while we were on vacation there. They tried to talk us out of it told us they use aftermarket so we shouldn’t expect perfection, (one from Utah had bubbles and scratches on it when they installed) then their tech “forgot” to call us to tell us it was done so we didn’t have our van for an extra 5 hours. Would not recommend this location at least.

After a mobile technician came and replaced a windshield it started leaking. Took it into the shop and they said it was not the windshield it was the sunroof drain... Magically after the windshield was replaced the sunroof started to leak.... Well took it to the dealer and they can see where the windshield is missing caulk. So now out $100 for a diagnostic. and a soaked car!

Booked appointment on line for 9:30. Check in and was told that it would be a drop-off appointment. Was not given that option when I booked online. I guess that they overbooked their appointments. So I said no thanks. Optic-Kleer came to my home the next morning and installed the windshield that was right for my tundra.

Insurance doesnt pay for a small chip on the windshield. The man at Safelite quoted $148.00 and sent me an email with a $75.00 quote.

Guy at the front was real nice and coffee was decent. Only bad thing is small waiting area and how long it takes to change out your windshield.

Glass slightly miss-shapened or not installed correctly. Should seal ok, but doesnt look right. At first they said the would replace it, but when tech showed he wouldnt replace it unless it leaks or makes noise. Should be ok I hope, but not happy with it.

They were super-friendly, fast, and efficient. I had an appointment to have a small 1-inch chip repaired. I was in and out in about 25 minutes.

They were very helpful and respectful. I will be back when I need to have any glass issues taken care of.

Eric was not very personable or informative. Acted like he was in a rush to get to his next thing. Also frustrating that safelite sent out a rock chip repair employee and not a windshield replacement employee. So they told me I had to reschedule for next week. Due to that lack of communication, they lost my business and I will be taking my windshield to a different provider to be replaced tomorrow.

I went to the North Richland Hills store. I had my windshield replaced. There was no doubt it had to be replaced there was a huge crack in it. The owner / manager / proprietor, was very friendly. The work appeared to be done well and efficiently. It took a little longer than I expected, but apparently they were a man short that day. It remains to be seen how well the work holds up. I havent washed my car, and it hasnt rained. So I might have to revise my review if I have any leaking. But so far so good. I paid about $325 for new in windshield without any insurance coverage. That doesnt seem like an unreasonable price.

Having a cracked windshield is not a good experience, but Safelite made it pretty painless. First, the pricing is very competitive - much cheaper than I thought it would be. Second, Michael (the store manager at Rufe Snow) and the rest of the team are incredible. They were courteous, professional and did the job beautifully in a very short amount of time. Also, I made a mistake when setting up my order. They were able to get the new glass with no time wasted. I also had another car issue that they asked about. I told them what the dealership told me. They actually found the issue and fixed it! Something the dealership couldnt, or wouldn’t, do. These guys are amazing! They go above and beyond for their customers. I will tell everyone to go to Safelite and especially this store. If I ever need another windshield, Michael and his team have my business! Thanks, guys!!

You all might want to take better care, and put the radio antenna back on your customers vehicles when youre done installing the new windshield. I just happen to hear mine rattling and bouncing around, ON THE TOP OF MY TRUCKS CAB, while I was traveling down Hwy 820, and down Hwy 183, at 60+mph. Everything else seems to be good, so far. Thank you, to Crystal, she was a very pleasant lady, and to my installer, that I cant think of his name now...started with an F. Just remember to put stuff back on the customers vehicles, that you take off.

Probably the most professional, pleasant, enjoyable experience I have had with an automotive service company. They were engaged, informative, honest,and like-able. The work was done quickly and cleanly. The waiting area is comfortable and clean with drinks and snacks. The manager, Michael, contacted my insurance company when an extra cost came up( due to lane departure technology) and took care of it so I did not have to myself. Ferny did a great job explaining my work and updating me. I almost want another windshield to get destroyed just to experience it again......almost!!! Haha. I went in to get my front windshield replaced after a rock cracked it. I made an appointment days in advance on a weekend and despite the icy, slippery weather their staff was there and they were working on my car within 20 minutes. I enjoyed some pleasant conversation, and a hot cup of coffee while I waited. Service was polite and professional. I have no problems recommending this business for your window repair needs. Had a crack in my glass in my windshield. The company kept me posted about whom and whay time the arrival was. The employee was straight forward, honest and professional. Didnt try to upsell me on anything, told me how it was, explained the entire process thoroughly as he did it. Took 15 minutes tops and my windshield looks amazing, I barely notice the damage. Will definitely be using this service again and again. Id give six stars if I could!

Well. I am not really sure where to start. I just want to be respectful. I will make it short. I would never again in my life go back to safelite. Its a Very over priced racket place. Please check around before you use them. Yes they are friendly but open your eyes. You dont have to use your Insurance and file a claim to fix your windshield and actually afford it. There other places that can replace your windshield. As for trying to fix cracks in your windshield ITS A BIG WASTE OF MONEY. Yes i fell for it once but never again.

This was my first time ever having to replace awindshield and I’m so glad it was with Safelite!I absolutely despise anything to do with car issues and this was the best first time experience I’ve ever had! Everyone from the desk agent to the technicians to the manager were beyond friendly and professional. I dropped my car off and was expecting to leave it for a few hours and was quite surprised when I received a call saying it was ready less than an hour after my appointment. I took my car there less than a year ago to replace a broken windshield that was caused by another shop while getting my oil changed. Luis just made my horrible experience very comforting as he explained every detail to me. My window was replaced in good timing and I was very pressed. Fast forward to 3 days ago I had a pleasant experience with the staff once more. They listened to my concerns and were very prompt. They installed my window regulator for me which cracked when my window shattered. Took about an hour and a half but no biggie, it got done and I truly am grateful for such great service.

I used the mobile service where they came to the house. The technition Luke was super nice and quick at the job. We had the whole window replaced. After the job was done he even vacuumed the front seats/floorboards and even was nice enough to put my windshield wipers on for me. I would highly recommend to use safelite.

Highlights: best price I found, next day appointments, speedy service, nice waiting room with wifi/snacks/refreshments/ac, super friendly and attentive staff.I would give this business my strongest endorsement of any business I have reviewed. Their quote was about $50 less than any of other DFW auto glass shops, and they were only shop that offered next day replacement for my 2002 truck (I learned they have several warehouses in the region with parts for nearly every make/model on road, so manager told me only rarely they cant offer next day replacement). Booked next day appointment completely through web on phone in minutes ( I hate having to call places so loved how easy website was). Showed up about 20 mins early, and was greeted and addressed by name by a super friendly tech in parking lot, who took vehicle back immediately. Waiting room was super nice, with good WiFi, comfy chairs, fridge full of refreshments, and large variety of snacks. The manager was super friendly and offered to give me a tour when I told him I was curious about process. When time for payment came, he even told me there was better promo code offered than one I found and applied it. I will absolutely refer anyone with auto glass needs here and come back myself if I ever find myself in need again. I would have gave a great review just based on their price and speed, but the little things like greeting me in parking lot by name and having variety of snakes is what really designates them as a 5+ star business for me.

The lady in office needs to go. Rude and can not get anything right. We walked in Thursday to set appointment and get quote. Came for our appointment and she had ordered the wrong windshield, from a completely different vehicle. Then said thats what we told her..hmmm no. She wanted to argue about it. Then quoted us way over the safe life online quote for the one we did need. She then mumbled as we left, should have told me the right vehicle ! She ordered the wrong one. We know what we drive. I would not go back or recommend to anyone.

THEY ARE CLOSING AT 2PM ON SATURDAYS not 5!Had a penny size chip on windshield they repaired it and looked almost unrecognizable, repair guy was very cool also gave me glass cleaner spray. Didnt pay anything because i have geico insurance but you should first contact geico before setting up appointment otherwise this location wants to verify by calling geico no matter if you already have approval email from them.

Anyone that reads my reviews knows I hate saying anything negative but this time I just had to say something the lady that was working the front desk could not have been any more Ruder even if she had taken a course on how to be rude. Very disappointing. My dealership offers windshield repairs, but I thought Id shop around and started by trying Safelite. This is the first time Ive worked with Safelite.Requested a quote online, providing my contact information. An appointment was set up automatically for some reason, but at no point in time did anyone ever get back to me, before my appointment time, to discuss anything. So I had no choice but to drive up to the location, where they already had the bill/quote ready and waiting. Clearly yall were working on it, so why didnt anyone call me?The front desk lady was the most depressed and lethargic person Ive ever seen, and treated me like some annoying nuisance. SafeLites quote that they had ready was around three times the quote my dealership. I told front desk that this price was unacceptable. She might have well have said, Whatever, because she couldnt care less. I asked if she could have a technician actually come out and look at my car which was parked right in front, because the chip damage was miniscule. She didnt even acknowledge the request. How is Safelite going to give me this ridiculous, non-negotiable quote and never even bother to consider the severity of the damage? Told her I was going to try a different place and walked out, and the front desk lady just shrugged and said Bye. There was some other guy in the front office, too, at the time. Some red shirt. He didnt seem to care at all about the situation, either.Will never consider SafeLite as a windshield repair option in the future, and telling everyone I know that this place is trash. Just another jaded business, concerned only about the cash.

Unfortunately on a road trip a rock struck and cracked my windshield. Bummer, especially since I just purchased the truck but never fear SafeLite came to my rescue. Safelite replaced my windshield in record time, I was a bit skeptical about this whole windshield replacement process. After the technician Daniel was done the windshield looked amazing, I couldnt tell at all that I was looking at a replacement windscreen. Knock on wood, I hope I never have to replace another windshield but if I do, I know exactly where to take it now. SafeLite you have a customer for life, Thank You.

Returning customer changing my review after recent experience. Today my husband scheduled an appointment. Let me add it was a all day appointment and we dropped our vehicle off at 9 this morning with the guarantee it would be done at 5(the end of the day).Well we are heading out of town and was hopping it be done sooner, but understood if it wasn’t. However, my car was not done. My husband called for an update and they texted my husband back saying it should be done within the hour. We went by to check on it at 3:18 they texted my husband at 2:03 saying it would be done within an hour. The car had not been touched. They had a plethora of cars in the lot and the shop but our car hadn’t even been started. Let me add as I was waiting for him to get my key I was talking to the lady in the waiting room(who was a walk-in) and they told her they get her vehicle done in 45 minutes. Guess day reservations are useless. I’m mainly upset he told my husband the car should be done in an hour and he hadn’t even been started on it. Let me also add this was a full front window replacement so I’m very curious if they would have gotten it done within the hour and a half they had left in the day. This is poor business practice, sad the company has changed so much.Below was my review from 5 years ago:They made a terrible experience not so awful. Someone smashed my front driver window and stole my purse. They vaccumed my car extensively, and even cleaned one of my daughters toys off because it had glass shards on it I didnt see.
