My brother and I just wanted to drop the truck off at this location. While it usually takes a little while to do this simple task here, today it took nearly a half hour as there was only one person working inside. Whoever is managing this location should spring for at least one more employee to assist customers, especially on these busy days. It shouldn’t take rocket science to figure this out!

This place is horrible! Drove all the way from port charlotte 13 hrs with a truck and tow. Get here the didnt reserve the big storage we wanted so we were forced to buy an extra unit for $126. To be homest I think they had a larger unit but lied to make extra $$. 2 weeks later we yhen reserved a $29 ft truck to move into our house ee shoe up and they only had a 15 ft truck!! Totally messing up our plans. STAY AWAY. They are very dishonest!!! Do not trust them. Yiu will regret it!!!

Absolutely horrible! Did the online check in for a faster process, received a phone call shortly after verifying everything and was told truck and trailer would be ready for pick up! Got here and have been here an hour, took the guy an additional 1/2 hour for check in after I did online check in then he couldn’t find the key searched for it over 20 minutes before I told my husband to go get the other guy who had the key in his pocket! And still waiting for them to get truck and trailer. Absolutely no communication only know he couldn’t find the key because I was watching!

I had a good experience renting out a uhaul. Customer service was good. Once I got through the line, the process was very quick. The price was great. The truck was very clean. When I returned, I was an hour late but I was not charged extra. Wasn’t expecting a great experience considering all the one star reviews but was presently surprised. I would recommend this place if you want to rent a vehicle.

The worst uhual rental to go to. If you want rude and unprofessional customer service from the manager Joshua and to waste your time then by all means stop by. I had a few issues on my account which I was not aware of and the other gentleman was very patient and kind in explaining to me who I needed to call to resolve this issue and while the reservation was being cancelled and reassigned to the associate that was with me, the manager denied the reservation because he was associated with ME! I was so baffled, how could you deny a rental reservation completed by someone totally separate from my case or account. How and why would you deny a rental to them, I understand to me and I understand that I have an issue I need to deal directly with the agency however not the company that was with me. Not only was Joshua rude but he flat out said since they are with you I will not rent out to anyone of you or anyone associated to you good day. I felt discriminated and was deeply embarrassed by his behavior in front of the other customers. I will never come back here again. The sad part is they are located close to me but i rather drive 30 mins away than come back to this disrespectful location.If I could give them zero stars I would but Google forces me to rate them with at least 1.

ABSOLUTELY horrible customer service! I moved to Florida and everything with uhaul in michigan went absolutely great. Once to Florida i never got a call to let me know when my boxes would arrive even after the date had been scheduled for a month. I finally got ahold of someone named and they said there was a glitch and i was not on the schedule. A man named John from North Port location called me and said they would deliver between 2 and 5. I sit there for 3 hours and its 15 minutes to 5. Dont hear a word and no u boxes. I decided to call to touch base and make sure they would be here within the next 15 minutes as this was a three hour window promised. I talk to John and he said they are running late and will be there at 6. I explain how I had movers to help unload hired and its a huge inconvenience and my whole day was wasted bc of this and constantly having to call and wait on hold. He was very RUDE to me and made it sound like it was no big deal. Very poor customer service and treated me awful. I will never again use uhaul for any service. I would even pay more just to use anyone else as John was horrible to work with and the lack of communication was absolutely awful.

Terrible service. I had a storage cube moved from California. I called on a Friday and asked if I could pick the box up on Sunday. The girl I spoke to identified herself as working at the store I called on Pan American. She said I could pick the box up Sunday at noon. I asked her if it would be ready and on a trailer ready to go. She said .. Sure, no problem. When I got to the u-haul facility, I was happy to see no-one else in the office.. Well, the person there was on the phone..He said, Ill be right with you.. Twenty five minutes later, he finished the phone call and said, Im sorry. We are understaffed today.. I gave him my name and after approximately 30 minutes of searching on his computer he tells me..Ok.. I found your box, but we dont have any trailers to put it on and, even if we did, Im not qualified to load it with a forklift. I told the employee I had called two days earlier and spoke to a female employee that told me my box would be on a trailer and ready to go. His remark.. Well, she doesnt work at this location and she doesnt have the right to tell you that.. The number I called was for the Pan American U-haul location and the female told me she worked at that location. I called the following day and managed to pick my box up, unload it and return within three hours. Upon returning, I told the employee that I was very unhappy. His solution. He gave me a $5.35 refund which was the cost of the trailer rental for the time I used it.Will I use U-haul again. I think not.

Came here to get propane refill at this location like I usually do and they said they wouldn’t accept my tank because it’s expired. (Expired? I don’t know anything about propane tanks and the tank they won’t accept is the one they gave me last time.) it’s a nightmare I just wanna grill lol. I think they just have people working there that don’t know what their doing.

I love this U-Haul location. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I never have issues at all when it comes to renting a truck for a move. I also love getting my propane tank filled here. Its the most affordable place around for propane refills.

Awful!!! First, I called at 7 am to confirm that the 26 uhaul truck I reserved would be ready at 11am as was reserved. The manager informed me that I would not be able to pick up the truck until 1pm. When we arrived, it took almost an hour to get our truck. That is 3 hours that I had to pay 3 people who were scheduled to move us at 11. The real kicker was the man who gave us truck at 1pm said he didnt know why we were told that because they had a truck there the whole time! Then as we are removing the furniture blankets from the bags we discovered they were wet!! Useless!!! Since we were now 3 hrs behind and moving out of state, we had to pay for a hotel room before we could even leave North Port. Then after speaking with the employees there, I was assured management would be calling me and would issue a credit. It has been a week and I have not received any calls or credits. Such an terrible and costly experience!!

On 12/21/2016 I was on the road in a 41 foot motor home hauling a car behind. I was in need of propane before arriving at our winter destination in Port Charlotte. My wife called this UHaul facility to ask if they had a propane fill station and to also confirm they had enough room for our rig to come in and fill up. Upon arriving at the facility, I pulled into their lot only to instantly see there was no other gates to get out and the propane fill station was full of parked cars. Now I have completely blocked off the only entrance/exit from the facility and I cannot back up with a tow dolly hauling a car. I went into the store and a man behind the counter asked what he could do for me and I explained what I have just mentioned above. He said hed be with me when he finished with the customer at the counter. By the time he got out of the building to investigate, I had looked around and found absolutely no where for me to go but backing out the way I came in. All the driving lanes in the place were blocked by vehicles. The only thing I could do was unload the car from the tow dolly and then back out. I had to block traffic on Pan American while doing so.I might be able to understand and forgive this fiasco if not for the fact that we called ahead. The people that work here seem to be totally incompetent and I will never go there again. I would caution anyone needing their services for propane because they have no room for anything larger than a pickup truck near the fill station. If I could have given negative stars I would have but you cant post unless you give at least one star.

Watch yourself with this place i only drove 190 miles and they charged me for 274 and said there nothing they can do

Awesome customer service, the gentleman that set us up was extremely helpful. And made sure we had everything we needed for our trip. Definitely one of the best uhaul experiences we have had yet.

Slow slow slow!!! I made a reservation before hand to rent a small trailer and it still. Took 45 minutes to leave with the trailer. The next day returning the trailer took even longer! Incompetent staff that sound like robots reading everything off of a computer screen, cant even think for themselves. Piss poor experience, do yourself a favor and rent from the facility in Venice on seaboard Ave. They are awesome to deal with.

Have tried calling local number all morning!!! Goes directly to Uhaul main number. Wow!!! How can one set up an apt; if nobody answers locally?

If negative starts were available. They would get it. First of all Josh the store manager is a straight up liar and POS. I had reserved a truck for 24 hours and upon pick up I was notified I only had 12 hours. That is NOT what I signed for. After arguing for a few moments and him stating he didnt take the order personally. He tried to find another location with availability for a 24 he rental. He located one within North Port but I had to use self service option. He confirmed with his home office / online customer service department. Well... upon getting there and doing the online portal and pickup i pay and do whats required, I have another 12 hour rental. Complete utter waste of time and money. RENTER BEWARE THIS COMPANY AND THIS LOCATION IS AWFUL. DONT DO IT. GO TO PENSKE!!!

Jack one of the sales reps there was very very conscientious and very fair and gave me a little bit of leeway time because I was running just a little bit late he was just very generous and helpful and he looked over the whole vehicle seeing I swept it out brought it back clean and they were just really nice they took their time with me and talk to me about being in the service and I was in the service during Vietnam and just great people and the prices are fantastic $19 a day to $39 a day are you kidding me thats fantastic I recommend them 100% sincerely Al Salman

We have just read the reviews -- We have made some mistakes- we did not read them before we went and we believed them from talking to them on the phone. We call 3 times concerning of purchasing propane. The last conversation was we have propane and come to our facility. Upon our arrival the driveway access was NFG, there was a sign posted NO Propane -- We went to office which took some time to get waited on. When confronted with the conversation that they said come right down, all 3 of the Stooges had different answers. It was very obvious this was not the place to do ANY kind of business.

We have had some minor issues with the lock we purchased.. it was not resolved until we returned a month later and stood outside in the heat waiting for someone to acknowledge us.. after we spoke to someone, the lock was changed, but the issue with what we originally needed was not..

The young lady at the front counter is friendly, gave me recommendations for hitch mount installation since they do not install hitch mounts there. Unsure if it was the manager I also spoke to, but they were both equally nice and helpful.

Worked on my moms house for free as a slave, she collected rent, kicked me out wo telling me she sold the house, she forced me into the hospital, put a restraining order on me by my own grandfather, and buds who all claim not to know me and not to understand the implications Iif thier continued assaults on me. Mommy was grafted to a nieghbors brain by someone, all the cops who forced me to the hospital were executed by the military, the judge died in Egypt like all those who attempt to steel from me

Do not go to this place. They are horrible. Rented a unit for several months. Upon removing my belongings i found a rat trap and rat dropings all over my box spring. When I called they offered no compensation for the fact that they rented out a rat infested unit. Denied having a rat problem and had no explanation on how the dropping got on my stuff. Said cause I didnt opt for insurance, they would do nothing which I was never specifically offered. They may have have me papers to sign and thats it and we did not go over the paperwork like their supposed to. So if it was in there I was not made aware or an offer for it made. Asside from my stuff which is replaceable. Im upset because I paid 60.00 a month for a rat infested unit. I feel like there should have been more care made and they should have notified me of this disgusting infestation. To give me the opperunity to go elsewhere. I relize this is florida but I didnt pay to store my stuff with rodents residing in it. Shady dealings at this location and Horrible service. dont rent a unit from them. I will never use a uhaul service anywhere again.
