DO NOT USE THIS STORAGE COMPANY! I didnt receive an invoice for my monthly charges and I was charged $120 late fee after 5 days. I told management i didnt receive an invoice and was told we dont send invoices. I was told i needed to sign up for auto payment. I told them they already have my payment information, I was told we dont keep that. So the day after my late fee kicked in i got a phone call from their office asking for payment which led to this discussion. It was truly a deceptive practice from a company that is not transparent and not focused on customer service. Please find another option.

I came in not knowing what size storage unit I should get, the manager on duty was Aurelia and she was amazing she took me on a golf cart ride and showed me the storage units that she thought might work. If anybody’s looking for a clean safe friendly storage company please check them out you won’t be disappointed.

I highly recommend this location especially if you are in need of a storage unit.. this storage facility employees are amazing!! due to financial reasons myself and my boyfriend ended up losing our unit, it went up for auction, well we had a few very personal belongings that myself and boyfriend were devastated to know we were losing we reached out to life storages employees and told them what we were looking for and that is the only things we were wanting . well it got auction off they informed the people that got it from them and they got the few belongings we were devastated to know we were going to lose . and for that alone I give this storage facility a five stars.. plus on top of it the facility is and was always cleaned sprinkling clean at that floors were always shining in the controlled temp units area

After checking around the area, I was pleased to find this Life Storage location to store my personal items, while looking for a new home. From the beginning I found it easy to navigate the website. My first day of putting things in storage, I could not find my pass code, but the lady in the office was VERY helpful and courteous. After being away, we again couldnt remember our pass code but an employee helped us as he was in the building and was extremely pleasant and understanding. Best experience I have ever had using a storage unit! Professional and polite. Betty D

THIS IS THE ONE TRUST ME!!After having a horrible experience at public storage on Jacaranda in venice I decided to try out life storage let me start off by saying this place was heaven sent! the 2 ladies that run the place are amazing! Aurelia especially has been such a blessing to work with, handles the business professionally and with ease both ladys are very kind and outgoing always answer any questions I have, its a stress free environment they keep the place lively its always clean they constantly make rounds around the property and pick up any trash that some people leave behind, they will always say hi and ask if theirs any questions I may have. This past month Aurelia has helped me tremendously I rent a few units needed for My business and this place is one of the best very convenient, its spacious the gate code you get is not complicated the one I had at public storage was about 11 digits and was a hassle because you had to type it in everytime you went up and down the elevator.. life storage is much more convenient! there is always carts available, the climate controlled units are nice and cool which is rare to find, most storage places say they are climate controlled but are always humid.. life storage actually have their temperature set as it should, my belongings stay fresh odor free my favorite part is how they constantly make rounds around the property Ive never seen a storage place be so dedicated in providing good service.. I keep allot of valuables their and it gives me a peace of mind knowing they are in good hands. Another good thing is if you happen to be running late passed closing time they dont lock you in and dont shut down the elevator you are still able to finish loading and unloading. The Public storage on the other hand shuts down the elevators and gate at 9pm sharp Ive had my belongings locked in the elevator at public storage and then I couldnt leave because the gate locked I had to find an emergency number for them to open the gate it took me 35min to reach sombody. Long story short public storage is a nightmare ..life storage with the amazing management at this location has truly been a blessing I never thought Id leave a review like this but its well deserved very impressed and happy! Thank you!

We were greeted by the most friendly employee that weve dealt with in months. I wish I had her name so I could give her a big shout out - She was awesome! Their units are very clean and well maintained. The cost is a bit pricey but you know how supply and demand works. The number of northerners moving here now is staggering and they have to store their items as they cause bidding wars on the home sales here. But I digress, highly recommend that you store your items here.......if you can get lucky enough to find an empty unit. Welcome to Florida.....🦩🌴🦩

Very helpful, friendly and professional staff. Been with them for 2 years and the facility is always kept very clean. Just got my second unit and prices are more than reasonable. This is the best storage facility in North Port hands down, I would recommend them to anyone.

Realizing that my storage space would possibly be insufficient to house all of my belongings, she was able to place another space on hold that was conveniently located near my space. Eventually, I did need that additional space. I would highly recommend Life Storage!

Tamika is the only savior to this place. She has been amazing and professional. Ive been renting a unit since september 2017 after our home was flooded. All our memories and what was undamaged was placed in this unit. In April we finally got to move back. Went to the unit only to find rat droppings and urine all over everything. Maintenance set up a trap and assured me the damage isnt bad and there are no rats in my unit. That was a joke. The 3-4 boxes filled with my childrens toys and memories i took home were covered in feces, urine and chewed on. I asked for a free month to give me time to sort through this mess and was refused. Even contacting the general manager was pointless, she said its not their problem. Now Im stuck renting a dumpster to throw out everything. My wedding photos, pictures of my kids when they were born, every toy, all our clothing, any furniture that was undamaged, paintings, rugs the list goes on. Just taking these boxes out i found dead rats, thousands of rat droppings, my clothes and gloves are yellow from the rat urnine, the smell and odor was so bad i was almost vomiting and than the best part is there was still a live rat in one of my boxes that almost bit me. Thats when i walked out of the unit. Tamika once again was helpful and dropped some rat poison into the unit. At this point Im so overwhelmed and disgusted of the lack of help or willingness to try and do the right thing. I just spent all this money to rent a unit just to have all my items destroyed and now have to clean up this mess as well.

I needed the services of Life Storage for the past several years. Nancy and her entire staff have always bent over backwards to maintain a neat, clean, professional and most of all friendly environment. The hallways were kept clean and well lit no matter when I went in. It was a pleasure doing business with Life Storage and will look to them again in the future if the need arises.

Rented storage space for a vehicle at this facility. Both Aurelia and Nancywere super nice to work with. We had a problem getting into one space and Aurelia worked with us and found another space that was so easy to get into. Many thanks for going above and beyond to help us out.

This location is always kept clean and organized and I always feel safe coming here even at night. The employees are also very friendly and help me with every question I have. Technically I could set up online payments but I would rather take the time to stop by and talk to them in person, awesome people and employees.

The facility is very clean and well managed. The associate manager (Tamiko) was extremely helpful when I was signing the paperwork and going through the initial tour of the facility. The rates are great and the location is really easy to access.

I have used Life storage previously and I again went to them when I needed a 10 x 10 unit. I had a very easy time going through the online reserving process and I had an amazing experience with Nancy in the front office. She truly goes above and beyond for anyone who walks in that door. She had a great personality and made me feel like moving my stuff would be easy. (Especially because I was on the ground floor!) I will always go to them for any storage needs because they have always treated me like a person and not like a wallet. Hopefully Nancy will be or continue to be compensated well and hopefully I will continue to see her around.

Excellent place! Registered online for storage space, showed up with everything I needed! Associate Manager, Tamiko Ellen was superb! Made the process much easier and more pleasant. My first impression was that Life Storage is a very silly name, but then I saw how great their service and facilities were. I guess they need some way to keep from being overwhelmed with a huge waiting list so they chose to use their name. Tamiko was very courteous and helpful. I definitely recommend life storage.

FINALLY FIXED IT! I have had problems with the billing on my two units since Uncle Bobs took over. First, the auto-pay didnt transfer over, and my accounts became delinquent! This caused me to be locked out of both units! I called and reestablished the auto-pay. They waived all the late fees at that time, and assured me that I would have no problems. I was also informed that I still owed money from SEPTEMBER!!I have been asking someone to remedy this, as I do NOT have a pro-rated outstanding balance. (Another glitch from the transfer of accounts!) I was told by Nancy, the manager, that she couldnt write off the charges, she would need that to be reviewed by HER supervisor. She then told me he was off for the day. I called the next day and was informed he would be out all week, but she would call me once he returned. A week- ten days later, still NO CALL BACK!!About a week after re-establishing the auto-pay (the week before Thanksgiving), my employee was unable to access our unit. IT WAS LOCKED OUT!! After calling, waiting, then calling and waiting AGAIN, someone finally unlocked my business unit. However, when my husband went to retrieve the Christmas decorations this week, our personal unit WAS LOCKED!!!! Today is November 29!!I called AGAIN. I was told that Nancy was off for the day (I want to be a manager THERE - they always have the day off!) I was put on the phone with someone named Tamiko. GOD BLESS THIS WOMAN!! She did, in thirty seconds, what nobody else was able or willing to do - she resolved the billing error (I did tell her that they were going to lose both accounts over $33 dollars...didnt seem like smart business to me!) In under a minute, she had reversed the charges and unlocked my account!! I am so happy that I finally spoke with the correct person for the job!! THANK YOU, TAMIKO!!! YOU ARE AWESOME!
