Our new plantation shutters are wonderful! Kathy, Rick and the crew were so wonderful to work with. The product is top quality and the installation was done top notch. After shopping for new shutters online and big box hardware stores, I was never happy with the price and overwhelmed by options and concerned what selections would be the best fit. After one year of debating this, I called Kathy and was immediately convinced that I needed her expertise. This is an expensive treatment and one mistake would cost me hundreds of dollars. Kathy quoted me a ballpark, which of course, was higher than the dot com shutters, but it wasnt unreasonable. Especially considering they would be expertly installed and any mistake would fall on her. She showed me samples of extremely well made composite shutters and knew exactly what frame would be best. BTW--I would have picked wrong making an online selection. The shutters came one week later which online was 6-12 weeks. They are beautiful and look twice the cost. They make the rooms gorgeous. The installation was expert and perfect in every detail. We are doing three more bedrooms just because I feel they add tremendous value to my home. Worth every penny, dont make the mistake I almost did by ordering online. Get it right the first time.

I had a great experience with Blinds Galore and More. The company is customer service focused and has a very warm family vibe. Kathy has a great eye and quickly helped me make decisions for several window and door openings. The custom shutters for the eyebrow curved window pictured here are so beautiful (the pelican loves them too). They hold out heat and sun or open at any desired angle to let in the natural light. The room darkening shades recommended for sliders are also beautiful and easy to open and close at desired levels of light and privacy. I did my homework...I questioned a lot of companies and researched a lot of products. So many are made in China, made of cheap plastic or hollow. Some companies advertise major brands and then come out with inferior substitutes. I am so incredibly happy with Kathy and Rick!! I called and they were able to come out the same day. Kathy was very honest about what would work best with my windows/doors and since I have pets, made recommendations according to them. Everything took a week to get installed but there was a holiday and likely would have been even sooner! I was not expecting such quick service. Rick is so sweet, I work night shift and had my mother over so he could install the shutters and have someone awake. He kept my room for last and has zero issue with my schedule. Blinds Galore is absolutely the best business in this area to head to anytime you’re in the market for plantation shutters. I know they do a lot more than just shutters, but I can only speak from my specific product experience. We could have gone anywhere else and purchased the less expensive “Made in China” shutters, but opted for the quality solid louvers and frames made in the USA would provide us with. Her and Rick came to our home after i needed to cancel our first appointment at the last minute due to a medical issue. They brought their samples and described the quality in the products she sold. We were very happy and placed an order. Kathy suggested we cover our windows as we were leaving town and placed paper covers up until our shutters arrived. They hung our shutters when we were out of town, and knowing how excited we were to see them, sent us many pictures as they were installed. Two products that arrived were not up to Kathys standards, so she promptly returned them and had replacements installed when we were back home. Rick and his helper were here to install the rest. They installed them, and were quick to make sure everything was perfect! They then made sure to clean up anything left behind in the install. We are extremely happy with the quality and all of Kathys service. I would highly recommend her to anyone considering shutters. Oh wait, I already did refer them to friends who have also ordered from Kathy. She is great!

Kathy & Rick make sure everything is as requested and done right. Kathy has a good eye and listens to our visual goals and desired quality. When something wasn’t quite right she sent it back and quickly replaced to our specification. The additional gem on the team is Claudio, the tech wizard, who installed the wired motorized Duette shades quite nicely and got everything set up and walked us through the options for the app!Now I can tell Siri it’s morning or press a button on my watch and I’m all set!

Impossible is not in Kathy’s vocabulary. My husband and I were convinced we’d have to settle with plain window coverings (or nothing at all) in our mid century modern home that has a combination of jalousie windows and hurricane doors that are difficult to deal with. I just had Blinds Galore & More install a Plantation Shudder in my master bathroom. It is an unusual size window and I contacted 3 other companies who all said it could not be made. Called companies to get estimates on curtains for my parents house new construction was very hesitant to commit, my wife saw a billboard on 41 heading towards Venice, I called the number and met with Kathy right away, she gave me an estimate right away, was very happy with it, ended up doing my own house as well. We bought a vacation home in Gran Paradiso & wanted to do window treatment that were maintenance free & gave us a Florida feel. I called Blinds Galore & More because of passing their billboard on 41 several times a day! Up until this point I gotten estimates & ideas from other companies but looking at least 4-6 weeks for installation & still not sure what I wanted. When Kathy came out it was an easy decision to go with plantation shutters throughout the whole house, they are USA made, dust repellent, maintenance free, look great & could be installed in 2 weeks! That was a real plus! They were right on schedule, very professional couldnt believe how Rick & the gals worked as a team. They inspected each shutter with a small light to make sure no marks or flaws before they left. Also Kathy recommended the Hunter Douglas vertical slider for doors to lanai & they had installer from that company do it.
