This place has gone downhill fast. When I first came to the little market I fell in love. Everything was perfect. I’ve been a local there every week for over a year now. The quality has been terrible the last couple of months. The phones don’t work and for an entire week their payment system has been down. So I went in this morning and couldn’t order because of their own issues. Unacceptable. Just look at how pathetic a $8 avocado toast comes as. This morning was the straw that broke the camels back for me though. You have just lost a loyal customer who referred a lot of people to this great market.
I come here for lunch every time Im in town, its sadly gone downhill lately as many other reviewers mention. Prices are very high, service is very slow. The food is just ok but they do have a good selection of unique local items. Hopefully they can improve as business picks up.
The food was good. Id be willing to go back and try something else. They had some nice looking drink choices.
This is a boutique market, with a nice selection of wine and beer that is always new. Their bakery products are fantastic as well as their crafted coffees! Im going to try their sandwiches next. Theres a new manager and very friendly, helpful staff. You cant go wrong here.
Lovely little cafe with great espresso drinks, chai lattes, sandwiches, and baked goods. Friendly service, too.
$9 for a truly underwhelming bagel bfast sandwich? Come on now. Be better
I only eat here cause it’s close. It’s ridiculously overpriced ($11 for a small sandwich?) and the service is painfully slow. Food is okay. Would not recommend
Love it, great people and good coffee, pastries brought in from the best bakeries in town
Sandwich was good but way overpriced for portion size. Sadly it cant be a regular lunch spot
Slow service but good food and drink.
Fun little market, good service, super expensive ice cream and HORRIBLE, bitter coffee. If you like espresso, DO NOT bother. This stuff was more bitter than my ex girlfriend! Otherwise, great place.
Great spot for breakfast or lunch, or to grab a coffee or a beer. Especially love the breakfast taco and turkey, brie and green apple sandwich. Staff is great! It’s like our own little Cheers—we always feel welcome when we walk through the door!
I am here three or so times a week. They are super friendly and remember what Im going to order (even when I cant). I love the selection of items in the store and they have saved my butt more than once when I needed a card, a birthday gift or some champagne. I absolutely love their breakfast bagel (sans avocado) and the iced honey lavender latte. They have certainly earned the five stars!
I had a great lunch here on my way back to Baltimore from Charleston. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. One complaint: the manager on the shift, Lindsay (?), publicly and loudly berated her staff during the meal, and stormed out. Im have a masters degree in organizational psychology, and this person desperately needs lessons on how to provide employee feedback. She criticized in a way that makes the employee defensive, was insulting and visibly emotional, and did it in front of a peer coworker who she actively brought into the conversation. All terrible ideas. Id be happy to consult, or you can just fire that manager (hope shes not the owner!).I feel bad for the employees here. Make sure to tip.
I recommend the breakfast bagel. It is awesome! You can choose a sirracha sauce or a sweet balsamic reduction. I subbed the bagel for their buttery croissant. Pure bliss!
Their latte is amazing!! All of their pastries looked really nice too and I loved their little market selections with nice wines, soaps, candles and jewelry. Really lovely and clean and the girls behind the counter were sweethearts, thanks again!I also enjoy that they use sustainable products, such as hay straws and compostable cups and cutlery. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable of their products.
I really like this place - lavender latte is unique and a must try menu item. Unfortunately, they inexplicably dont have skim milk which is how I like my lattes. Ive asked multiple times and they arent open to improving the milk options. This seems like a very standard option for a modern coffee shop. Ive stopped going here until they can rectify this. The avocado toast is tasty. I bought a chocolate bar there that was old and the chocolate had bloomed - probably from temperature fluctuations in the shop over the summer. So, its a market with a lot of potential, but unfortunately for me right now its a mixed bag. Im open to updating this review when they get skim milk on the menu!
Cute location in Charleston! I had the bagel sandwich which has fried egg, bacon, avocado, aged Barbers cheddar. Would 10/10 recommend!I also ordered an iced oat milk latte and it was strong and delicious. Wish I wouldve tried the lavender iced latte though!
Love going into this little European style coffee shop/deli. I am a regular now. The people behind the counter are especially nice, the coffee is excellent (Counter Culture) and the vibe is special. Come check this place out and stroll through the unique streets of Mixson. Seems like this area is up and coming.
What a cool quaint little market! We didnt order anything to eat due to just having dinner but purchased dessert. We all had locally made ice cream sandwiches that were incredible! The employee was friendly and helpful with information about the area. What this market lacks in quantity it makes up for in quality. Check them out and support the local specialties they offer.
My sister and I tried their Honey Lavender and Rosemary Peppermint lattes! I preferred the honey lavender but both were nice treats :) they also had several milk alternatives which was a plus! The lady who made my drink was super sweet :) I’d love to go back and try some of their food options!
Very pleasant, clean and organized, this quaint little market serves both residents and locals with a modest selection of carry out wines by the bottle. Beer and wine is also available by the glass for on site consumption. A varying selection of locally made products from face scrub and jewelry to ice cream and popsicles can be purchased here as well as made to order sandwiches and coffees. There appears to be a small farmers market of such but was not in use during my visit. I will definitely return!
Wait was a little long. There was only two people taking orders, making coffee and food and delivering it. BUT IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT. Ordered the breakfast sandwich with balsamic vinaigrette and it was fantastic. Also ordered the turkey apple brie sandwich to go for later and it was still good at lunch time. Coffee was good too!
Fresh food, fair prices, friendly staff. Sitting and waiting for someone and three different people checked on me to see if I needed anything, and they all followed up to see if I was still alright. Nice to see that. Even after cashing out i was still checked on to see if I needed anything
Great food and the staff is phenomenal! Its obvious they care about what they do. Good spot to post up with a coffee and do emails.
Nice little spot for breakfast treats and coffee. They also sell craft beer and wine. Had a great time! Thanks.
A cute little market. I received stellar customer service. I was stopping though when I was meeting her for a showing for an apartment. I was sold on renting the apartment on the good cup of joe and nice conversation. The market in side looked to have a varied of wine but I can not say if it was fine or not for I did not have the time to gander.
Great idea to keep the community close knit. Everything you need right next door.
Cozy little coffee shop close to Park Circle. The coffee is good and they offer some baked goods and lunch items. The staff are very helpful and pleasant.
What a great find for a visitor to the Charleston area! This market/coffee/cafe hits all my plus points. Keto salad, check, gum free oat milk, check, compostable cups & paper straws, check. I dont eat bread, but to give a sense of the place, avocado toast is on the menu. Check out this gem!
Great sandwich. Nice ambiance. Very little seating though, unless you sit outside. Also very pricey. Service was nice.
They are not open on Mondays and says they are online, very disappointing for getting dropped off by an Uber since we aren’t from here. Fix your hours
An oasis in the Park Circle food desert! Excellent wine and beer selection and mini gourmet grocery. Coffee and pastries and all of the delicacies you want, without having to venture to another Charleston borough.
Enjoyed locals cant wait for their full menu visit him opening week great job
Best neighborhood coffee shop in town! Jessica & co. are always friendly & welcoming and have created a community atmosphere suitable for getting work done or catching up with friends.
Great vibe, staff are always fantastic and there is always something delicious to try!
Breakfast Tacos and Coffee were great and ready on time
Great food and drinks. The live music was a treat. #Halloween
Good coffee, nice place to sit. The latte was lovely. Ill be back, for sure!
We love all of the food but are very happy for half price wensday sushi best deal around starting at 4pm Super Service
Great little spot with awesome sandwiches, great coffee (counter culture is a great brand), awesome beer selection and taps to fill growlers. What more could you want from a small deli?
Great local market!
Wonderful experience at Mixon Market. Staff very welcoming and freindly. Coffee is amazing they have cold brew and nitro cold brew on tap. The market also offers great selections of wine and local craft beers from a few breweries.
Really liked the servers, but food was just ok and it took forever.
Lovely little venue, good is delicious and cocktails fo not disappoint
Cute little place under new management but still pretty good
Fun concept for the area but food was overpriced and took longer to prepare than necessary for uncomplicated items.
Great sandwich! Sweet place
Geeat spot & the Avocado Toast tastes as delicious as it looks! Thanks Allison for the great vibes!
Kind staff, tasty menu, dog-friendly cafe
Has potential but needs more staff. Iced coffee was good and the muffin was tasty, but really wanted a breakfast sandwich, but between the wait and the staff person running out to buy ingredients, it just seems like it is not a well sorted operation yet.
Lovely sandwich - great pesto
Had the breakfast bowl. Very tasty!
Very friendly service and good coffee.
Great food! I recommend the tacos.
Great burgers.
Excellent menu and fresh items. Definitely a regular stop.
Pretty cool little place, small, personal & friendly
Great coffee and eclectic selection of food and treats.
Best breakfast tacos and sandwiches in the South. Amazing service.
The breakfast sandwich on grilled chibatta bread, with arugala, 8yr aged cheddar, Siracha Aoli, and two eggs over easy is perfection. Coolest place to go ever.
Ordered a Carmel macchiato and the lady hands me a small cup only 1/4 filled with some form of coffee. I wish they would have told me id only be getting 2 sips of coffee for $4.
Heard its good, went to the place across the street
The breakfast sandwiches and coffee were amazing!
Awesome local shop
Loved the atmosphere, great coffee! Rare find in Charleston.
Great coffee, cool atmosphere. Not a lot of seating, however.
Great food, wish I lived in the neighborhood
Not very welcoming and one of the seating areas is not air-conditioned, but they have really cool local wares like pints of Jenis ice cream, etc.
Went there for a school event and the food and staff did an amazing job!
Hip spot! Great food and coffee!
Very fresh, very tasty
Nice little home to vibe
Good but pricey
Decent, but a bit pricey for what it is.
U was working not able to shop and all streets are very tight one way
Great Sandwiches and beer!
