Friendly people. They did exactly what I asked for. The cost was far lower than expected. I would use them again for any repairs needed in the future.

I diagnosed my soft brake pedal with them and I was told to replace the master cylinder. The first cylinder didnt work well and replacements were made until the best solution was found. This came with no additional cost. I didnt feel the effect on my car at first but my brakes pedal now works well. I recommend their service.

Very very pleased with my service here. My car had to be towed in due to a failed throttle body assembly, all of which occurred 5 days before I was set to head out on a major road trip. They made sure to note the time restrictions I had, got it in right away, and I had my car back 2 business days later and I didnt have to cancel anything. Labor pricing was fair, which was great since it was a fairly expensive part to replace on top of an already pricey road trip. Highly recommend, and Ill likely be back for future service!

DO NOT EVER TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO NORMAN AUTOMOVTIVE!!!!They will not stand behind their work!!!i hired Jimmy with Norman automotive to replace an engine in my work van. That was in December of 2020. I was charged over $8000 almost $9000.00 to replace the engine. I was notified today on September 10,2021 that he will not warranty any work he has performed. He held held my work van hostage for 10 months!! He has lied multiple times about why he cant get it repaired. Not sure why anything with a new engine has to be repaired if its installed correctly. He says hes not liable for the engine he supplied and marked up. He says hes not liable for the improper installation. He says he has the right to refuse service. Buddy thats before you perform the work not after youve been paid for the job.So the point is do not use them they Will Not stand behind anything. Just read their invoices!!! Im not much for leaving reviews but it criminal what he has done to me and my company.How would you handle dropping $9000 on a vehicle and still cant use it 10 months later and it has a brand new blown engine.He can make excuse after excuse. The fact is Im out $9000 with a non working vehicle that has set in his shop for 10 months and going to have to hire someone else to fix what he wont repair.

As a single senior lady, I am often nervous about doing repairs on mechanical things since I know very little about such things. These guys did a quick and painless replacement of my grinding brakes, and I was back on the road with less cash outlay than I feared, and they did it fast.

Car was stuttering bad when in idle. Check engine light came on and we almost didnt make it to the shop. Luckily they had a cancelation and was able to get us in that same day. They had the problem diagnosed and fixed in under 30 minutes. Very professional and great service. We just moved to the area and will definitely be using them for all our routine car maintenance.

Always happy with the service I was disappointed this time when I got home I had grease all over my shirt and my $50 Sonoma shorts then I could not get the grease out of and had to throw them away not even sure where it came from but it was a whole glob. It was not in my car though have had to have come from the shop or maybe the counter where I paid

Staff were friendly and attentive, polite and patient. Building was quaint and comfortable. Despite the fact that they were quite busy, the staff set aside time for my headlight replacement, and were willing to accommodate my tight schedule. Would come again if more repairs are needed.

My daughter took her car there for an engine replacement. What we thought would take a week, turned into weeks. What should have been one weeks car rental during the extreme cold spell turned into over 2 weeks. (She walked to work the other weeks when it was not so cold.) We could understand some of the delays, but she was never notified of the delays. They told her two or three times that her car would be ready on a certain day, but we would not hear from them. She always had to call to see if it was ready and would be told of another delay. They told her to bring it back after a given period for oil because they had not filled the oil with the new engine, and it would be free. She took it back last week for the oil, and they charged her. Her car makes a noise since the engine replacement, and she paid for a one year warranty, but she is afraid to take it back to them. These people were highly recommended to us, but we were disappointed in their service.

Reputable, honest, veteran owned company.When I moved to town I was looking for a good local mechanic that I would trust to take care of my vehicles. Based on other reviews and word of mouth came across Jimmy and his crew.I have taken 3 of my vehicles here and have not been disappointed. I know Im getting quality work at fair prices.I just bought my new (used) Tahoe in to have him go through it and fix anything wrong with it bumper to bumper. They diagnosed all the issues and fixed them in a timely manner.I just had tires put on and if I had known that they had alignment service here I would have brought it here first. Instead I went off of Discount Tires (which I dont recommend either) recommendation of going to Christian Brothers in Norman and instead of doing the alignment, I was told by them that I would need a whole new front end. Tie rods, bushings, rack and pinion, plus power steering flush for $1370.00Mind you I just got this vehicle back from repair here at Norman Auto a few days ago. So I left Christian Brothers and came back to have Jimmys crew check it out. Well it didnt need any of those repairs, which if it did need wouldve have been cheaper here, by hundreds of dollars!I highly recommend the honesty, professionalism and the quality of their work here.

I tried out Norman Automotive in the summer of 2020 when an old vehicle was in need of (what I thought) was an extensive repair. Turns out it was only a quarter of the cost I had expected. Their labor rates arent obscene like other company shops in town - and their work quality is good. Ive been back several times for services ranging from a simple oil change to more comprehensive mechanical repairs. Jimmy and his crew are friendly and a rare breed in this day and age.

I brought my car to Norman Automotive to diagnose a problem in my steering assembly. The staff was friendly, listened to the description of my problems, and took proper time to both diagnose my vehicle and discuss repairs with me (and even waived the diagnostic fee!!). I originally chose to bring my vehicle here because I heard positive things about them from my friends and colleagues; coming here I see why they were recommended. I will definitely bring my vehicle back should any more problems arise!

I had a pretty bad coolant leak with coolant spilling all over the place. I brought the vehicle on Monday and got it back on Thursday. The engine started overheating, so I had to bring the car back. Jimmie, the owner, made every attempt to repair the vehicle as quickly as possible, so I got it back on Friday again. In the end, I had the serpentine belt, water pump, radiator and the heater hoses replaced. The total came at around 1K, which is somewhat expensive but given the difficulty of the job is reasonable. I would recommend this service to my friends.

I was impressed at the time, so I decided to give them my business again at their current location at 3800 Classen Blvd in Norman. I live less than 2 miles away, so it is very convenient!I stopped in and spoke with Jimmy Pickett. He was very friendly and helpful. He assured me they would repair my vehicle without charging me for needless parts and labor.I made an appointment for brake work, and to have the tires balanced and rotated.Getting my car checked in was a breeze, and Jimmys courtesy and friendly attitude made me feel comfortable about leaving my car there.Sooner than I had expected, they were calling me to let me know they were finished. These guys are great. Honest and helpful. I can tell they care about the people in the community they serve. They really went out of their way to help me understand my cars issues and helped get my car back on the road again. Even cost less than I expected.

Really impressed with these people. My wife needed new brakes on her car so I googled places. I planned on getting a few estimates. This was the first place I called and the owner answered the phone. He sounded so kind and genuine that he ended up being my first and only call. I took my car there that night and got a call the next afternoon that my car was ready for me. Long story short, I paid about half of what I expected to pay because they are good and honest people and didn’t try and sell me a bunch of things I didn’t need at the time. I will take both of my vehicles here for servicing moving forward and encourage my friends and coworkers to do the same. One last thing - when I called for an update on my car, the lady I spoke with was talking to me as if I was their only customer of the day. So kind and patient, she knew everything about my situation from my conversation with the owner the day prior. 5 stars all day.

I was referred to Norman Automotive by a co-worker. The moment I walked in the door it felt right. Jimmy was immediately there to greet me. Being a woman, Ive always felt a tad intimidated about getting my car being taken care of because Ive heard you cant always trust some businesses. This is a business you can trust. I got a quote and when I paid for my services it was the same amount quoted. I asked about a tune up since it had been almost a year and a half since the last one. He said it looked good and probably wouldnt need one for another year. He could have said I needed one that day and I wouldnt have known any better. Took my new(used) 2016 BMW to the fancy Euro place on the west side a couple times for service, did not feel welcome, and was charged an arm and a leg. Couple weeks later an annoying noise under the car I first noticed when I bought the car had now gotten to the point where it sounded like it could be causing damage, so I decided to try someone else for service. The friendly folks at Norman Automotive took a look, diagnosed the problem, and ordered the broken part. Took the car in a few days later and drove away happy. The repair actually seems to have fixed a couple issues and the car runs and sounds great. I will be using them again for my other car needs.

I was purchasing a used car and they did an inspection and the entire undercarriage of the vehicle was rusted through. The company I purchased it from tried to cover it up with grease. Just looking at the car you would think it was new. They were very honest and saved me a lot of money and headache in the future. Thank you so much.

Just fixed it right away. I will be using them for all my automotive needs.. Also unlike Hibdon they actually charged me the same price they quoted me. Hibdon had surprise charges that added up to 50 bucks more than quoted. So this place saved me 50 bucks on a tire

We like that they have kids toys and a fish tank (in addition to the typical tv) to keep the kids minds off the waiting. The staff were kind to tell the kids when they got new baby fish, so they sorry the entire visit searching for the shy fish hiding in the rocks.

Took my expy in for knock sensor replacement and was going to pick it up today they said they was test driving it and come to find out when I got there that there was a vacuum hose left off and had to pull it back in break it partial down put it back together and tried to start it and it wouldnt tried to figure it out. Still in the shop for the weekend. Not happy. But we will see. They have come thru before. Went back today and they said it was fixed said it was a fob issue and that they had put a dye in the ac to find the freon leak and would take awhile to find the leak. Jimmy said Id be good for the summer with the little leak. So I took the expy and got down the road got to a stop light took off and it started to cut out. Took it right back they looked at it said they found the ac leak it was a valve and found the cutting out problem it was the coil pack on 1st cylinder. Fixed it and now it running smooth cold as ice air and 😊.

My 2015 Ford Explorer was having issues with the AC. They did great work in a timely manner. I will be going back for any future problems with my vehicle.

Unless you want to pay an arm and a leg, better look elsewhere then. I understand this is a family owned business. But all in all, he did have the work done on my car fast (3 hours) and he called me to let me know that there were other issues that I needed to be aware of. But I was charged $313 for a brake job. Brakes are $20-50. He only changed one set of brakes. Most mechanics can have them done in an hour tops. He wanted to charge me a grand total of $1,000. for brakes and two new much needed hub assemblies. Yeah right, you got me once not again sir. But I understand these guys have to make a living. Just an FYI I purchased the new hub assemblies myself for $40 a piece and had a guy put them on in a shop. Lesson learned, money saved. Never again
