Ive tried my fair share of mechanics over the 21 years Ive lived in Norman, but none can hold a candle to the group at Wells Automotive.Professional and patient, theyll always take the time to explain everything in as much detail as necessary, and theyre always happy to provide estimates on any work youre looking to get done.And, speaking of price, Wells Automotive is incredibly fair. Ive had everything from oil changes to engine work done at Wells and the prices have always been easy to stomach. I also appreciate that they will give you their professional thoughts and opinions on which services/repairs are most urgent, in case your wallet needs to take a breath between trips to the shop.I take our family vehicle there every year before our family road trips because, frankly, Wells is the only place I trust to do right by us. They replaced a headlight assembly for me at the best price I could find and in less time that I was told. I was referred by a friend and I’m so glad that she turned me in their direction. They are professional, courteous and they do good work!

I am so grateful for the help I got at Wells! I had gotten differing opinions on an issue I was having with my car, and they were willing to take a look at it when I walked in without having to make an appointment. They fully explained everything they saw and gave me specific advise on how to get it resolved, even though I wasn’t getting the service through them. (I would gladly have done it with them, but I was leaving town soon after and didn’t have time to schedule it.) They really helped to ease my mind before taking the car on a long road trip. I waited a month or so before writing this review. I used Well’s for the first time to do some pretty labor intensive work on my wife’s vehicle and they exceeded my expectations. I have struggled over the years to find a good, reliable and trustworthy shop to take my vehicles to and have had many bad experiences that left me leery of mechanic shops. However, I believe I have found my go-to. They fixed several things and had the vehicle for an extended period of time and they made sure it was done correctly. I called 4 shops about an issue and got a reasonable idea of what to expect cost wise so I brought it in and Robbie confirmed the issue and the cost. As soon as the part arrived from OKC he got it in very quickly, under time and cost estimates. He answered my questions thoughtfully and patiently. This will be my go to shop in this region from now on. I appreciated the professionalism and competence.I went back a couple months later for an odd sound in my brakes. They replaced worn rotors and calipers but the noise was still there. After looking closer there was a protrusion which wouldnt have been spotted unless looking very closely. They took care of it and made my extra visit worthwhile. Good, honest people there. Im safe and the sound has not come back.

One of my blinkers was acting strange but I couldnt figure out the problem on my own. I walked in, without an appointment, and they figured out the issue in under 5 minutes and didnt charge me for the replacement bulb. Cannot recommend them highly enough! Completely stress-free!

As a women, going to the repair shop can be daunting but I had a wonderful experience here! The guys were very nice and answered all my questions and treated me like a human being! I went to Well’s to get my oil changed/fluids checked and was charged over a $100 for that service. They then told me that I needed to get my control arm bushings replaced ($600) and my rear brakes needed to be fixed ($310). I could not afford to do this so I just paid for the oil change and left. I then went to Pro-Tec in OKC where I got my control arm bushings and rear brakes taken care of for $600 total (and I was able to get my car taken care of that day).This place just seems to be overpriced.

Quick service and knowledgeable mechanics who have been right on the money with their diagnosis so far and get the work done in a timely fashion. They dont try to sneak additional fees in and have fair prices on their services. They dont try doing any work that wasnt requested and provide you with options on what you need to do then ask what you want to do instead of telling you what you need to do, which is a big thing to me. They take care of and respect the vehicles by placing floor covers down and inform you of any minor work needed that you can most likely do yourself. The overall experience was highly professional and Ill be going back for any additional work needed in the future.

My car has a TPMS light on even if the tires were fine, and he helps me regulate the pressure and fix that for free in just 15min. Thank you very much!! These guys were great. Easy to talk with, nice business men. I went to pick my truck up they showed me the piece that was broken that came off of my truck so I could understand the sound I was hearing rather than just fix it and pay for it. They called before doing any work to make sure I agreed to the price before they started. The price I payed when I went to pick up my truck was exactly the number they gave me over the phone. Lastly, this is the cleanest auto shop that I have ever been in. They will have my business as long as Im Norman and need a tune up/fix.

Wells Automotive is amazing. Robbie and his staff are knowledgeable, kind, and honest. We have been using them for years and have always been treated fairly and with great respect. If one of our vehicles needs work, they always let us know the severity, cost, and the length of time to repair prior to performing the work. Today, I took my car in for an unknown noise. After a diagnostic, it was determined to be an issue that would be less expensive to repair at a specialty shop. They referred me to someone else who worked me in immediately. From oil changes to AC, from head gaskets to a new front end, we are Wells customers for life.

This place is the best place to go for car trouble. Friendly and very honest staff! Even when they had a hard time finding a part and end paying more for it, due to limited supply, he didn’t charge me more cause he agreed to a previous price.

BEST SHOP IN NORMAN, BY FAROther shops in Norman, including the Ford Dealer told me that I needed a new power steering pump and were quoting me prices $400+. I saw the reviews for Wells and decided to go there. They found that my pump was actually fine, and it was just a hose needing to be replaced. $130 later my car was good as new!Best staff, best service, best prices! Love this place

I was traveling through Norman and my cars malfunction light came on. I took my car here before a long road trip for a few fixes and a look-over. They did everything I asked for, found a slow oil leak, and called me before fixing it so I wouldnt have to pay for something I didnt ask for. They let me look at the leak and I chose to wait to fix it so I could do it and a belt change at the same time. They didnt pressure me to have them fix it, and they charged me almost exactly what they originally quoted. Im very impressed by this shop.

Here for the summer from another state, my car was leaking power steering fluid at a ridiculous rate. I took it to Wells because I had heard they were honest, quick, and reasonably priced from a friend who had been in Norman for several years (these Google reviews helped to solidify my confidence).When I took it in to see what the issue was, they found the rack and pinion, which had been replaced not more than a month ago, to be defective. After speaking with my mechanic back home who had replaced it and had a warranty on the part, I decided I would wait to have him replace it. Wells sent me on my way without charging me a dime for the inspection. I will be coming back when necessary, and will suggest them to anyone who asks.

Wells automotive is by far the best car repair shop in Norman. They do great service, very quick, and very honest. They even call you before they make any repairs and gives you choices.

My car wouldnt start. I thought it was the battery or starter. I had it towed to Wells and they took a look at it for me. They called me to let me know that a bolt broke off the flywheel and that I had a oil leak. He took pictures so he could show me the damage and also had the bolt that broke off. They fixed my car and got me back on the road in no time and it didnt cost me a arm and a leg. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. I will now be using Wells for all my repairs.

The guys at Wells are heaven sent! As soon as I walked in I was greeted by all of the employees present and immediately asked how I could be helped. I explained exactly what I had been experiencing with my vehicle and within 10 minutes of looking at my car they figured out what was wrong. Although 2 separate items were wrong with my car, the older guy explained that I truly only needed to fix one of them to make my 14 hour trek to Georgia for the holidays. My experience with car repair shops hasnt been the best, but the guys at Wells reinstated my belief that people truly good at heart. Great staff actually listens to the customer thats what the customer asked to be done and then when they find something new they call and talk to the customer before they do anything else but did not argue with me if I said I wanted something in a certain place thats where they put it they didnt take it upon themselves to put it someplace else they treat you like a friend here and like one of their own

Wells automotive technicians have worked on my vehicle in the past and they gave me an estimate and stayed very close to that estimate. they called me once they diagnosed the issues and gave me my options. professional is how I describe them.

I recently broke down on I35, heading north to pickup my child at OU at the end of the semester. My Kia Sedona broke down about 40 miles outside of town. I contacted AAA who had me towed to Norman and selected a different automotive repair shop as their preference. I checked online and saw that Wells Automotive had a couple better comments regarding service and repair.I left a voicemail with them informing them of the new vehicle in the parking lot, as they were already closed. At 7:20am (technically before they opened) they called to inquire regarding the voicemail I left.Understanding that I was already one day behind schedule, they immediately took a look at the vehicle, diagnosed it as a dead alternator (had already proactively started searching for a replacement alternator in anticipation that this was the issue), received the alternator, installed and tested it and had me on my way by about 9:30am.Customer service was awesome, repair was top notch, and if I lived locally, they would be my home service and repair shop. My child will have a vehicle on campus next year and this is where she will bring it for any issues or standard maintenance.

Ive used them for three vehicles over more than a decades time. Three times Ive seen them turn away money when they found the problem was something trivial. Daughter stranded in Norman. Alternator went out. Looked online to review auto services in that area and from the great reviews chose Wells Automotive. Hardship was daughter goes to college in Ada, family lives in Tulsa, car is in Norman so this was a shot in the dark hoping to find a place that will treat us fairly from a distance. We found that in Wells Automotive. Worked with Ryan and he did a fantastic job getting the car diagnosed and repaired within 1 day.The issue was with an alternator that has frequently gone bad in this car. Called the dealer here in Tulsa, Gregs Automotive, and they worked together with Wells Automotive to get the warranty approved for the part leaving only labor to be paid. I really appreciate honesty about something I know nothing about.I would highly recommend Wells Automotive if you live in the Norman area or are broke down in that vicinity. They made a difficult situation much easier and rested Dads worries about his daughter being away from home with out transportation. My car is my life line and when it broke down i thought it was threw it had it towed to Wells just on a prayer that it may get fixed but they fixed it it was a fair price for a excellent job these guys could of taken me to the cleaners but they didnt i couldnt of ask for a better experience
