Clean, organized, friendly staff. Youll find much more than fabric at Joanns. They have wedding decor, cake decorating, kids crafts, t-shirt, jewelry making, knitting, embroidery, chair upholstery, sewing machines, and they offer classes. You can always find seasonal items there too.

My mother was able to find all she needed for her crafting projects.

Nice store, the 3 stars are for customer service. I walked in at the end of the night and did need help finding things, the employees were closing down. No one acknowledged that I was there, even when they saw me. Never engaged.

I always shop there and staff is great. They are very patient with me to find right thread colors and fabrics.

This store has a wide range of fabric and many choices to select from. Though this is good, it can be very confusing if you arent familiar. To make things worse the staff is not very helpful. I was told by a staff member to pick out my own fabric, wasnt directed to where it was, and she made me carry the very large and heavy roll of fleece all the way to her counter to just cut a tiny piece off of it. Very unprofessional. Im not sure why they are getting paid if I did all the work. Hell, hand me the scanner and ill check myself out too.

I wouldn’t come to this location unless you already know what you want and how to find it (or are willing to figure it out solo). Most of the employees just seem disgruntled and the store itself under-lighted and over-filled. Just come knowing what you’re looking for!

A good place to purchase materials for all types of projects. Bought basswood, artificial leather, glue, blades for Cricut Maker, threads, needles, Velcro, clips, and many more things to make my projects happen. The pictures I included do have many things I purchased from JoAnn and happy to buy some more. Sometimes prices are a little high, but in general, it’s not a bad idea. The only thing was ridiculously pricy here vs Amazon and eBay was foam. I needed to make the dog seat for my car and bought foam from JoAnn and later I added more from Amazon a lot cheaper for the same materials.

I haven’t used my sewing machine in years, but the need for masks to help prevent the spread of COVID was a good reason to start using it again. JOANN has a wide assortment of cotton fabrics to choose from. Their coupons have been a godsend once I realized I needed a new cutting board and other tools. I just wish they stayed open later than 6pm on weekdays.

A great store to buy fabric. They have a huge variety of all kinds of fabrics for both men and women. My experience was really good there. Staff was very courteous and helpful. I was looking for a very unique white cloth, which normally is not required by customers. But they went all way, searched their inventory and eventually found those 6 yards that i was looking for. Thanks to their administration and the lady who helped me out there.

Remember, its not JUST fabric! I got all the goodies I needed to make a fabulous hand-dyed sola wood floral wedding bouquet. With the exception of the sola flowers, which are only available through a 3rd party, I purchased the paint, brushes, floral pics, wire, tape, pins & ribbon. Sometimes the staffing is a little sparse but always helpful and friendly. The store is neat and well organized.

The cashier scanned all the coupons when I couldnt find them in my email and they had a box of free clearance stuff on the way out. Pretty cool.

Escorted my mom on her weekly Joann trip, what she does exactly that requires a weekly trip here I do not know. Something with crafts, or sewing or knitting or all of the above. It keeps her happy though and they treat her so well in the store. She raves about it so I promised her I would leave a good review, she is better with knitting than computers

Ordered $60 of material to make face masks and after 5 days still didn’t receive word to pick up my order curbside. When I called to inquire I was told they are too busy and it could take up to 9 days to fulfill my order if they had time. An hour later got an email stating my order was cancelled. Don’t advertise a service you cannot support JoAnne fabrics! This place is a waste of time... they don’t even deserve the 1 star I gave them. I will never shop there again!

I used to love this location, however with the new curb side pickup they have gotten wayyyyy to slow. I placed my order over 3 days ago and I am STILL waiting for pickup to be ready. I placed another order from different Joann location on same day and my order was ready in less than an hour for pickup. I dont understand how it can take them soooo long to process orders and then when you pickup they are very unorganized.

Do not buy anything here using your PayPal account. If you need to return anything they will only give you store credit. The money will not go back on the credit card you use thru PayPal. Ridiculous.

I hadnt been there in awhile and I was surprised on how many more products they have. I will be going there for all of my craft supplies now. Staff was very nice too and very helpful.

DiY n HANDCRAFT ENTHUSIAST, its a Place to Be

Went to pick up my order... called eight times - no answer and three vehicles behind me came and left. I got out of the car, maintaining space from the curb to the door and asked if someone could take my name because I wasn’t able to get through on the phone... a woman was outside smoking a cigarette whom I later learned is a manager, (unfortunately) Tammy J., and told me “no... we aren’t supposed to be speaking to the public” uhhh how someone can pick up an order without speaking idk but okay... “I tried calling and keep getting a fax noise” I told her. “Well then you need to keep calling there are other people here,” she pointed to the row of cars. I then told her how people had come behind me and gone... “you need to keep calling,” she said. “I am calling... It’s ringing then a fax noise,” I REPEAT. She then told me I’m dialing the wrong number. I asked her if she could tell me the correct number and she turned her head and continued to smoke her cigarette ignoring me.Tammy, WORST customer service I’ve ever received at any Joann’s. It’s unfortunate that’s the example you set as a manager. I’ll be contacting your district manager as well. Seems to be a theme here at this store considering the review from three weeks ago on Facebook was similar... rude I also see repeated several times.

The store itself is fine but some of the customers are very rude. I was shopping for some fabric for about half an hour. There were 4 separate women being rude to other customers and the staff. The stuff looked sick of it and I dont blame them at all. Ive been to other locations and never experienced anything like these horrible customers. I feel bad for the staff and hope its not like this every day for them

Joann always has a good selection of items, especially fabrics. There is also always a coupon or sale both in store and online. This location does a great job of keeping the store clean and tidy.

The lady at the fabric cutting table is very helpful, and the store is very neatly kept. I always enjoy going to this store for craft projects. The reason I only have 3 star is the cashier who was shelving when we checked out. She didnt acknowledge us, and my son started crying because he doesnt like waiting. The cashier kept doing what she was doing, and even fetched more stuff for shelving. We had to wait for her for a few minutes.

The store is pretty small and the crafts section is understandably limited in its selection. Theres not a huge variety, but youll be able to find the basics that you need. The selection of fabric here looks great and the staff here are friendly and willing to help. I come here when I need to get something quickly since its my neighborhood Joann, but its not a location thats fun to explore.

I made a order on 03/26/20 fabric material was supposed to be used for making face mask for donations on 03/27/20 at 11:13 am I recieved a call my order is ready for curbside pickup, I explicitly asked if I can pick up Sat 03/28/20 was told Yes we will be open from 12:00pm to 05:00pm at 01:30pm I was at the store as couple of other costomers waiting to pick our order and nobody was inside no answer to the phone on 03/29/20 I received msg my order was canceled no explanation why and I wont be charged wich is not the case my card was charged is not the money but treating return costomer as me like that is shameful.

I like the store on Elston better but people are so nice here they always ask about craft projects. Really more focused on fabric than crafts.

Understaffed, very indifferent, unhelpful attitude found. Store was not crowded, yet a 20-minute checkout line with only two registers open. My elderly mother cant stand for long periods, so we left. There are other alternatives, including Vogue Fabrics in Evanston.

Wide variety of crafts and fabric to choose from, prices can be a little steep compared to other locations but overall great place to visit if youre into knitting, crafting, sewing, etc.

I love Joanne fabrics. Just this one, the sales people were inattentive... I asked for a sewing machine, and one person pointed left the next person pointed right.. just a mess...

For me this location seemed very cramped and not very easy to maneuver around with a cart. It was kind of difficult to locate things that I needed. Also being a guy trying to find supplies for my kids, finding help and getting help was very bad.

I love JoAnns but this one is kind of small and cramped compared to my old one. The staff are nice, though.

Although the aisles are closer together than Id prefer, I like their store better than the Norridge Jo-Anns. An angular JoAnns set up like a right triangle, it is easier to see the most important places in the store- fabric, patterns, and craft materials. And for the space, the set-up makes sense and I appreciate that.

I had the rudest cashier ever - a man in front of me had a crying toddler on his hands but the cashier kept chit chatting with a customer rather than attend him. When she finally talk to him, she did not even attempt to find his order but sent him to someone else. When she got me, she blindly asked, What is your email? after running two coupons I gave her on my phone. When i asked why she asked, the reply was To send you coupons. I wish management read our commitments and react on them.
