Fair prices for a high end grocery so close to the beach. We were able to get everything we needed for snacks for our weekend trip.

This Pavilions has a relaxed and friendly vibe. It also had a great selection of products. Unfortunately, I didnt find the fresh tarragon I was looking for. Regardless, its a great store. 😊

Some of the nicest folk working here. I found some great deals in the back of the store on their clearance rack plus the deli people have really fresh food, making it fresh all the time. I found my favorite bars (the Nelly’s Organic on the top shelf in the produce department). They were out of Nelly’s peanut butter coconut bar. But other than that, awesome.

PARKING LOT=One ⭐, because it IS LOUSY!!!This LOCATION HAS FINALLYREMODELED and cleaned up inside!! Has everything you need for home or a day at the beach!!! Only 4⭐⭐⭐⭐ STARS, because their service deli/hot food people are STILL SNARKY and NEED ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENTS when it comes to answering questions about their hot foods for purchase. Additionally, they shouldnt lie about what foods are spicy or not JUST TO MAKE A SALE...Their new STARBUCKS, inside IS SO MUCH MORE NICELY STAFFED THAN THE STARBUCKS 1 BLOCK AWAY in LIDO..No snotty attitudes here!! Pavilions has just finished a beautiful remodel. The store feels light and airy and now appears to have much more room for more products. There is also a large section for wine and adult beverages with incredible selections. Great store.

Good store and location for NB residents. Staff is nice and friendly except for security guard who seems to have attitude towards everyone! Stores interior was down and dirty for a while while they were tearing apart and remodeling the store. Took a while but mostly done now. Prices a bit higher than other Pavilions in other areas but thats Newport isnt it!?

Its a smaller store but with a great staff. Everybody is friendly and genuinely eager to help you get what you need. They only have the basics as far as food but they do have a fairly extensive liquor beer and wine section. I left a few bags in the bottom of my carriage 1 time I was there and because was cold items they put them back in stock. When I returned to the store the manager let me just go through and grab what I left again no questions asked. I love the staff at this location!

Clean and nice but crazy expensive! Dropped in to get some beer and a 2 steaks...17.99lb (41.00 for 2) for same steaks i got at stater bros for 7.99lb a week earlier. Beer was 6$ more for 18 pack and chips and dip was double for the same brands. A liitle higher i could understand but this is insane. I could have gone to outback and had a great meal for 2 with drinks for less. Never coming back here

Its a good place to shop if your going to the beach for the day or just getting a quick lunch from the deli. Mary and Rene are awesome workers. They always chat with their peeps no matter if they wprk there or not. Even for someone who used to work there I go there from time to time to see them and say hi.

A bit pricey than our usual store, still nice selection though small isles are a pain when people are indecisive about what they are looking for. Cashier was friendly.

Good but out of my price range. Some items were double what I pay. But it was Newport Beach, so its expensive real estate. Good nice looking supermarket. Only thing that bothered me was the security guard eyeballing me. I whispered to him, Im not gonna steal anything.

Just your usuall neighborhood store nothing special. Funny thing is they have some old guy watching only the alcohol like he could do something if someone really wanted to take some what a waste

Went in there last night after work, was so tired, the changes were so much I had to ask 2 employees were things were before I noticed I didnt have my mask on an they didnt say a word, I guess there getting more leanint in the mask enforcement, not sure if I liked it, I liked to think its gonna get back to the way it was or sure hope so

This was my go-to grocery store for approx 3 years while living on the peninsula. I can walk there so I did almost everyday before dinner. I think that because I go so often, I am naturally prone to more abnormal grocery runs, but here goes. I was literally cursed at by an employee because I didnt move out of their way in the water aisle about 2 months ago. Yup told off, and when I asked her to repeat herself (because I was tired, so maybe I just misheard??) she confirmed! WOW. I told management that behavior was uncalled for and the manager apologized. I am not mad at management, what was she going to do? I definitely go out of my way now and drive to other grocery stores because that was actually crazy.

Nobody goes here anymore, its too crowded. (Yogi barra) I go to the vons on 17th normally.

OVERPRICED! Leave the island and go to a Vons inland, youll be glad you did. And your wallet will thank you 😊.

Got a sandwich made at the deli. Girls were talking about having to work late because they showed up late and instead of giving options for my sandwich as far as toppings or condiments i was left searching to see what was available to add to my sandwich. And at the end...i never even knew i had the option to get my bread toasted because i was never asked...it seemed like the girl helping me really didnt want to be there...😔

This is my neighborhood store and I have shopped there for several years. Most of the people there are friendly and the store is clean. The reason for my low rating is that for the last several months they have not kept their shelves stocked. I understand that COVID has caused a lot of mass buying but that period is over and still the store does not have adequate supplies of grocery items. They have not had peanut butter, dishwasher pods, relish, plastic plates, and many other standard items for weeks. There are often no whole uncooked chickens. Every time I stop at the deli counter to purchase an 8 piece bag of cooked chicken I ask how long the chicken has been out. The people behind the counter make it very clear that they do not want to tell a customer and just say that they are allowed to have it out for sale for up to 4 hours. I dont want to purchase a cooked item that has been sitting out for 4 hours but it is difficult to get a civil answer. Please get this store back under control.

This location seems to be trying to be to many things to many people. It also has made the issue worse by implementing controls to try and enforce social distancing. Instead, by blocking off front of store access to certain aisles it actually is making people come into closer proximity of each other. Wouldnt it be better to put your security and crowd control outside and limiting entrance if needed?

Fantastic store! Super friendly staff. Juan Carlos in the deli was especially friendly and helpful. He did all he could to help me out and did it with a smile. All the staff was friendly, we found everything we needed for our week long stay in one stop.

This is one of the cleanest supermarkets that Ive ever seen. Everything was in order. They had everything that you could imagine and need. The customer service desk had friendly Personnel. Very helpful. The checkout lines appeared short when I was there. There is plenty of parking. Including for handicapped patrons.

Has just about everything youd need for these beach side condos. It is a Safeway store so youre phone number or card works fine.Some of the finer things you might want like a specific kind of frozen products may not be present but everything else works

I stopped by here on the way to the beach to grab a few things and Id have to say this store is fully stocked with all kinds of things that you would need for the beach everyone there was very friendly and helpful I needed to buy a chair for the beach in they got it off the top shelf for me the prices were good they had great sales going on got a platter of sandwiches for super cheap I will definitely be coming back great experience

Nice organized clean grocery store. We went there prior to going on a hiking trail nearby. Their sushi was pretty good for grocery store and staff was nice. I would most certain return to this grocery store again. It has the air like someone cares about the location enough to pay attention.

Pavilions is a little more upscale version of a Vons grocery store, the parent company. This one is smaller than average and maybe a little expensive, but its at the beach, so thats why. If it were bigger and cheaper, itd get 5 stars. But its convenient to have it there, the store is clean, the staff friendly, and a big liquor/wine/beer section.

Store could use more selection. Being the only grocery store close to balboa peninsula, youd hope they would have good variety. 1/3 of the store is liquor and wine. That would not be a problem if there werent 20 other liquor stores in the area.

The most convenient place to get groceries on the peninsula. A decent seafood selection and a growing number of organic products. Excellent liquor selection and decent prices.Cons:-No organic or uncured bacon. (I have to go to Trader Joes or Whole Foods)-No organic French Vanilla creamer.

I was visiting from Santa Cruz. Nice to find a store where I could buy good bread and organic fruit.

Excellent place vast array of food here lots of readymade sandwiches and salads ( very handy as its close to the beach) open until midnight a few nights.
