Wow. This store is truly one of the prettiest Ive been into. Its full of beautiful things that honestly, you may just not need (but you know you want anyway), yet you somehow find yourself taking off the shelf and taking to the counter, lol. There are beautiful notebooks, pens, candles, cards, water bottles, etc etc.Not only is this store so cute and quaint, but the service was great. The girl was helpful, but in no way pushy (something I hate in sales people), friendly and sounded like a genuine person, rather than someone on commission. She helped find stock of items out the back or show us things that were related to what we bought etc. This location is in a gorgeous and picturesque part of Newport Beach, and definitely worth a visit. I hope they survive this period of time now with small businesses suffering, as their items are of great quality and presented so well, and reasonably priced for what they are. If you cant make it to this location, they have one in Brentwood which I hope to get to on my next visit.
Such a fun place. I can spend an hour looking at all the sweet and unique paper products sold here. Not your ordinary mall like paper and card store
One of my favorite stationery brands, and one of my favorite stationery boutiques! The store is small, but the selection is well curated. Moreover, the salespeople at this location are always friendly and helpful. A welcome addition to Lido.
Updated and Reply //Thank you for reaching out, Sugar Paper. There is unfortunately no way for me to send that information to you privately on Google. Could you please either provide your email for me to contact, or reply to my same review on Yelp? Thanks! To clarify, this review is not of Sugar Paper as a company, but this location. I drove specifically to Lido to go to this store and buy things I needed, and was greeted with a note on the door saying they had run to the post office and would be back in 30 minutes. The sign did not include what time they left, so you had no idea when that 30 minutes started. I waited around for 50 minutes and they never showed up. I got there at 1:40pm and gave up and left at 2:30pm. It’s ridiculous that management would allow this in the middle of business hours (and during the holiday season). If the employee needed to leave, they should have had someone cover them. I’m frustrated that I spent time and gas to end up empty handed.
Exactly what I was hoping for
Nothing short of perfection.
