Every preconception you have about any other used car dealership doesnt apply here. Phillips Auto has some of the best cars in town, and some of the best salesmen to go along with it. They helped me purchase quite a rare car with ease. They took care of all my DMV paperwork and even fixed a DMV tag registration problem immediately when there was an error on DMVs behalf. Don’t ever trade your car in this dealership, their employees are so careless . They got the car and the money but never paid it to the finance company and I try to call them never answered, one of their employees took the car home but don’t wanna pay for it. But somehow they cleared the payment in two months. Now after like 6 months am receiving a letter from claim resources that I owe them 5thousand dollar becz car has met with accident and am the current registered owner . How can u be that careless and running a dealership playing with people credit and wasting time.

I bought a 911 C4S in the last week of May of this year. On my drive home i stopped to put gas in my car and i noticed that the tank was refusing to take the gas and it was spilling the gas out.Upon contacting Phillips auto, it took them 2 weeks to take my car in and organize a check up on it. On my way down to Newport, a check engine light went on.When i got to the shop, I was promised by a sales rep that car will be sorted, and that it will be put through Smog Check as that was missing on it as well. Weeks went by and I havent heard anything about my car until one day they call me and tell me that the car has issue with Evap Escape Valves and that the repair will be several thousands of dollars ( no exact amount was disclosed). They offered to either buy my car back or to cover a portion of repair. I agreed to pay a $1000 for the repair as I really liked the car and I also needed it to be fixed asap as it is my daily driver. Upon receiving a car back from repair, I was asked to pay $1000 without being issued either a transaction receipt or a detailed work order receipt for the job that has been done on the car. Also, I was told that they had no time to put my car through smog check and that once I do it they will reimburse me.As i was in the rush, i took the car but i was promised that those documents will be sent over. A week later as i took the car to get smog checked, another check engine light comes on which made car fail the smog check. It also showed that Catalyst wasnt ready, due to a recent reset.I decided to take the car to the shop near me this time to see what is the check engine light on for and they tell me that diagnostics says theres still an EVAP leak. In the world of angry and impatient customers, i tried to be the understanding one. I understand that issues happen and I am wiling to be patient so I call the dealership back and explain them what happened.They tell me to bring the car back and they promise to me that this time it will be fixed and that the car will be smog checked. More than a week goes by again and I get the car back. Smog check hasnt been done as the system has been reset and the car has to go through the cycles before its able to get checked. Also, while it was in the service, my front right wheel cap got damaged and the Porsche crest was missing on it. I get promised new wheel cap, all service documents and reimbursement for smog check again and as I am trying to be extremely understandable i drive off, believing in what i was promised.Couple of days into driving the car i start hearing the noise coming from the front right wheel, which was the wheel that was being removed 3 times in order to service and repair the gas tank and Evap Escape Valves. This time when i called and asked for help, I was being ignored for about a week so i decided to take the car to the local shop instead of waisting my time and driving all the way down to Newport as the metal noise was becoming louder and louder.What the other shop found out was that when they were putting back the front differential, something was not done properly and I am now stuck with several thousands of dollars of damage on my car caused by Phillips Auto and their non qualified mechanics.And since my issue and my phone calls and attempts to contact them have been put off and ignored I have no choice left but to turn to Social Media for help. This dealership has millions in inventory yet they cant afford to properly fix a small issue such is evap leak that they are responsible for and they choose to ignore their customers instead of providing high level customer support that will suit the brand theyre pretending to be. Its been 3 months since buying a car and I barely had a chance to drive it more than few weeks all because of an issue that shouldve been discovered on their safety inspection and smog check. Also, the recon manager George have told me that the dealership knew about the tank issue but they never brought that up to me when i was buying the car. Phillips Auto please fix my car!!!

Good, well maintained used cars available at fair prices. I stop by to browse from time to time and have taken cars on test drives. They allow you to take the car for a PPI and there several good shops in the vicinity to get it done at reasonable prices. Low key, no pressure service which is highly appreciated.

Just purchased a vehicle from Phillips. I was an out of state buyer and they picked me up at the airport and did not blink about doing so. I test drove the vehicle and they actually had the associate drop us off at a restaurant down the street.Theresa, the sales manager, was great to work with. Whereas they do not negotiate a lot, but they do have a little room to wiggle. After driving the vehicle I pointed out a few things that could be cleaned up on the car and Theresa was 100% accommodating even though it was a used car. The other thing I really liked about this dealership was the fact they do not hit you with a bunch of ridiculous fees. Very reasonable and legitimate! I will certainly purchase from this dealer again and would not hesitate at all to refer a friend.Just wanted to add - I received a call the day before the vehicle was supposed to ship and the sales manager mentioned that someone noticed an oil leak. So, rather than shipping the car (was sold as-is) with the oil leak they are taking care of the repair at their expense. Are you kidding me - a used car dealer with integrity and that does the right thing - this is amazing. I am absolutely shocked and will tell everyone I know about how great of an experience this has been. 5 stars and more for Phillips. This owner should be proud to be taking care of customers in this manner. Thank you!

ONE OF THE BEST PLACES TO SEEL YOUR CAR. I was trying to sell my Lexus for a week; however, I did not get any offer that was close to what I wanted. I checked the KBB cash offer, and from there I got calls from Phillips Auto and Surf City Nissan. I went to Nissan and they offered me $3500 for my car. I was very disappointed and decided that i would keep the car; however, on my way home, Sujan from Phillips Auto called me and said that I should have them take a look at my car. I went there for one last try to sell my car. The service was excellent, and I was able to sell my car for $4500. Thank you Phillips Auto for helping me out.

I had my car appraised at Philips Auto and confirmed that they would beat a Carmax appraisal. I got my Carmax appraisal and updated Phillips Auto and the response from the sales rep was I took a look at the offer and not sure whats going on but CarMax gave you an unreal offer Id run with it its almost close to private party. I dont feel you can trust this company...they are running social media ads stating they will beat Carmax appraisals but I guess only if they like the appraisal. Not an honest add or company.

On a recent trip I visited a number of exotic car dealers in So Cal looking for something interesting and stopped by Phillips to see what they had to offer. Although I was amazed at the large inventory of expertly selected pristine automobiles, Sulli and Bill were so knowledgeable and downright honest, I need look no further to know where Im going to buy my next high performance ride.

Bought a Bentley from Phillips Auto, everything looked great! One week later the AC Failed, refused to fix other then referring me to Local shop. On report they gave me for the car said next service wasnt for a while, turns out it was 2 weeks before the service light came up. Took car to Bentley, serviced which wasnt an issue, but was then told there was about 4/5 thousand dollars worth of stuff wrong with the car from engine issues to exhaust issues not to mention front brakes were below 15% which was an additional 3800 on top of the 4/5K worth of other things wrong with the car. So not best experience ever!

These guys at Phillips Auto are professionals. They know what to look for in a used vehicle. There are many used dealerships but only one Phillips. One look in their showroom will show you the kind of vehicles they sell. I had spent months looking for the right Chevy Tahoe. When I pulled into the driveway and looked to the left, the 2015 White Tahoe just popped. Super clean, sexy rims, and barely used. I drove in with a rental car and drove out with the Tahoe. I was so impressed with the car and price I didnt even consider haggling. GM Mike made the process very easy. He even drove my rental with me to the agency 20 minutes away. Nikos was also very helpful and knowledgeable. I like my Tahoe so much I spent some money getting the paint and interior coated by a Ceramic Pro expert. This is how nice the condition of the Tahoe was in. I couldnt keep driving it without preserving the beauty. Next time im in the market for a used car with high standards, Phillips will be my first and last stop. Thanks guys!

Non-Negotiable prices even though website states Make Offer. Believe this is a scam to get emails and then they pound you with calls and emails, but never budget on price. I made offers on 3 cars in past 6 months, all within couple thousand of their Blue Book or sometimes higher than blue book prices. Didnt budget on any of them stating they had national interest and various people interested. Maybe remove the Make Offer button and then dont email me 5 times and 3 phone calls, 2 voicemails to followup. Horrible experience. Wont be back. Feedback is at least be negotiable of say $500 or something otherwise change website to state Retail Price is best price and no offers available.

Your buyer, Morgan, called me Sunday and after several phone calls offered to purchase my 2014 911 Carrera. He confirmed the price and that he would drive to Riverside with a check. I agreed to price and the arrangement, cancelling my delivery of the car to Carmax. I had clearly advertised the car indicating that I had an offer from Carmax and was taking the car there if there was no other offer. Morgan confirmed, then called back and told me the other buyer had the check book and he would come over Monday morning with a cashiers check and pick up the car. He was supposed to come over early Monday morning. He never showed, never called back. I will tell everyone I know not to do business with your company. The world doesnt need liars posing as buyers!
