I came here for an oil change & a brake inspection since my brakes have been previously replaced by the mechanics here before and I have been complaining about the same noise three times now. After first installation, they stated that the noise was coming from the fact the brake pads were incorrectly installed. They asked me who installed them originally to which I told them they did, therefore they re-installed new brake pads (this was in less than a year’s time).The noise has continued. Upon today’s inspection, they expressed that my back brakes were completely worn out and need replacement (since apparently only the 2 front had originally been replaced and paid for even though I had asked for all 4 to be replaced at once since I do not have time with work to keep driving back and forth) and suggested new brake fluid as well. At first I gave them the go ahead, but changed my mind quickly because of the issues I have been experiencing.After I left, I noticed a piece to my car was left underneath my windshield (which only became aware to me once I was on the highway and it began to move) which led me to inspect the rest of my car and that’s when I noticed the cap to my brake fluid compartment was left free floating underneath my hood. If these obvious items are left in such a way, how can I trust the brakes would’ve been completed correctly? I truly find this unacceptable, people come here and trust you to do something SAFELY and it’s a little scary when items like this are carelessly missed/misplaced. This makes it hard to trust in your work for bigger issues.

Great team they have here at Newington Firestone. They were able to do my oil change quickly and diagnose an engine problem I had as well and recommended what I can do from there. Very clean facility and as this was my first time bringing my car here I will be bringing it back for all its services. 5 stars.

Incredibly disappointed with my service here. Had my front tires replaced a couple weeks ago, no problem there, and was told my back brakes would need replaced. So I bring it back to have them done, and hours later I get a call that, wouldnt you know it, now the front ones need replaced too. So theyre so obviously bad they need replaced right away, but no one noticed when I had it in the first time when those tires were being replaced? This is either a scam or gross incompetence, and Im not sure which is worse. If they had told me the first time, I could have budgeted, price compared, etc. Will be telling everyone to avoid and go somewhere else.

If I could give no stars I would. Came here for an oil change and hours late theres a burning smell . I also came here to save a few dollars versus gong to the dealer and i was charged $80 after a $15 coupon was applied. I called another firestone who quoted me the original cost of a synthetic oil change is $70 ( 5 quarts of oil) . Please do not go here !

The only reason they are even getting 2 stars is because the staff there was friendly and that’s about it.Went there for an oil change and new tires. After getting the keys back and being told I was good to go I imediatly noticed that my tire pressure light was on which I thought was strange. The light stayed on throughout the day and into the next day after I assumed it would just shut off after adjusting to the new tires and driving around for a bit.By the end of the next day I noticed one of my tires was near flat and had a PSI of around 15. I imediatly called them and they were able to take me back in the next day to look at it. Turns out their was a leak through the sensor that monitors the tire pressure, just a $6 fix so I’m not annoyed about that but how it got by during the tests I’d assume they perform.Then the following morning I noticed one of my tires was looking low again so I decided to connect my gauge to it to get a reading. After getting the reading it was at 26 psi, still low but not terrible. I decided to check the rest of the tires, and behold they were all well above 40 psi with the highest being 45. Keep in mind these are on tires with a recommended psi of 32, they over pumped my tires to a level that I feel like only an incompetent monkey can do. I was going to bring the car back into the shop to get that second leak looked at but I don’t even know if I can trust them with my vehicle anymore after the level of idiocy they displayed when they pumped 3/4 out of my four tires well above 40 psi.AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COSTS.

If I could give 0 STARS I would. A month or two ago I brought my car in for an alignment and an oil change. 2 days after leaving, I notice my front tired are showing the belts and no staff notified me of this. They let me drive out, no problem, risking that my tires could’ve possibly blown out at any moment and not let me know.ON TOP OF THIS, I’m 1-2 months out doing my own maintenance on my car at home and I notice oil is leaking out of my drain plug in my oil pan. I check my oil levels and there is nearly none left. Again, this is after I had my oil last changed at this Firestone location. I used to love bringing my car to this location for quick, easy service but I would never trust them with any vehicle or any of my friend’s or family’s vehicles ever again.

Horrible! Brought my car in to get tie rods and ball joints replaces on both sides(along with a couple other things). After picking up the car it was pulling left( didnt do that before all of the work they did).Brought it back 2 more times for them to looks at and fix. Each time they said the techs dont feel it pulling. The 2nd time I bought the car back, I took a tech on a ride with me. As soon as we were on a straightway I let go of the wheel and the car pulled left towards the center line.Even after that, they still didnt fix it!Ended up bringing it to the Firestone in New Britain. They put it on the machine to show the before data of the alignment(which was all red) and the after data(green of it being fixed).It basically showed that according to the Firestone in Newington, it is normal for your car to pull left according to their alignment.I will never go back there ever again.

The work done on my car has been adequate at best but what annoys me is they will always try to upsell you things your car doesnt necessarily need. They told me I needed a new water pump and was quoted $900+ including labor. I declined since I had a water pumped installed in 2017. The manager will give out complimentary free oil change cards to any customer who isnt satisfied. The thought of a free oil change always sounds nice but I guarantee youll be spending $1000+ when all is said and done. I understand Firestone is a chain store and they need to make a buck but I feel like you can get a better experience overall with an independent shop.

Waste of time and way to much money. Went there to get my lug nuts fixed for the second time and they wanted to charge me 140$ yea right. Do your work right and then we talk about it but im not giving out my money for a mistake they made. SWOLLEN lug nuts🤔🤔

Stopped in to get tire mounted from tire rack, not only took it right away had new tire mounted and balanced in 15m great shop, new equipment what more can you expect

One star is extremely generous for this place.Dropped my truck off to have them adjust caster on my alignment (Manchester never did it when I purchased lifetime 3 days ago) got a call from the Manager Ethan? shortly after stating that my truck was lifted, he based this opinion off of the brand of shocks that are on it, clearly uneducated (it’s not lifted it’s factory ride height) also was told that my worn front end parts were a cause of my vibrations, from experience I knew this was not the case but he continued to shut me out over the phone because he knew best apparently. I was told the technician adjusted it as much as he could, (I took pictures of where the adjustment was prior to bringing it there) neither side was even touched, they refused to do anything about it nor did they care. LIED to my face about any type of adjustment, continuously gave me the run around about it. First it was my truck was “lifted” so they can’t do it, then it was they adjusted it a little bit but not to the correct adjustment and then it was my front ends too worn and that’s why I’m getting my symptoms. Was told that I should ask for a refund from Manchester, it’s not about the money it’s about the quality of work I’m getting for it I just wanted my alignment done right. Was also told “I wouldn’t of sold you a lifetime alignment on this truck” ....well why is that? What’re you saying? Not pleased with the customer service at this Firestone, will not being doing business nor recommending this company again. Being a past employee of this company I really thought This would be the place to go and I’m extremely dissatisfied.

One week ago, I came in to have my cooling system checked. I was losing antifreeze and overheating. Firestone advised me to have a cooling system flush. I agreed and as soon as I pulled out of their facility, I could smell antifreeze. A week later, after replacing antifreeze almost daily, Im here for a check. Right away, I need a new radiator and system flush. When asked where the leak was coming from on the radiator, the mechanic couldnt tell me the exact location because the unit was covered in antifreeze. $568.00 plus a system flush. Perhaps a bolt or something wasnt tightened properly...of cousre they disagreed. Totally at their mercy. I dont trust this particular Firestone establishment. This will be my last encounter since i have had other questionable transactions with them in the past. Thank God my Extended Warrenty will cover the radiator but not the flush. Im still out over $150.00. Cant see the old rediator...

Last year I went somewhere else to install my tires to wheels and they damaged EACH rim. I bought new wheels and tires this year and I was hesitant to take it anywhere, but I gave Firestone a shot and they did a fantastic job and under an hour I was out. No damage or anything. Great job and great service. I will definitely come here for all my wheel needs.

Dont shop here. I went in for a oil change and they did everything to try to get me to buy a set of tires. They need to learn how to respect their customers and if they come in for an oil change. Just do the oil change and mind their business about the other parts of the car unless asked.

Ive only been here twice before but both times the staff have been friendly, professional, and speedy.The waiting area is clean with nice chairs, a TV, and toys for kids to play with.I had the same issue last year just on a different tire so Im expecting a similar result with a tire patch due to air loss.

Lack of respect toward the consumer. They use cheap and replacement parts and then charge the customer very high. I would not bother paying what they ask if the parts were of quality and / or original.Today they gave me a quote with the part number they planned to install on my vehicle. When I looked up the price of the part online in nearby auto part stores I realized that they were buying cheap and replacement parts and charging me 8 times what they really cost.I will never return to this store.

I patronized this location for the purpose of having a tire replaced on my vehicle. The employee who checked me in was very nice and the wait time was not bad at all. Two weeks later I noticed that the tire installed was the wrong size, the three remaining tires are the exact same brand/size.I did not think to check the receipt on my first visit because I entrusted that they would at least put the correct tire size on my vehicle. Went in today to have it corrected and no one acknowledged the inconvenience, incompetence and safety hazard of this issue.Triple check the work that they do! Mind you some repairs require special machinery/computers so good luck. To top it off the air in the new tire wasn’t even filled to match the other three tires.

Quick service and professional help.

They go above and beyond. I originally went in to have my tire looked at because of a slow leak and oil change. They looked at all of my tires which in reality they didn’t have to. Come to find out I had another issue with one of the wheel barring on one side of my car which was a safety problem if I kept driving the car ironically same side of where the slow leak was but different tire. They checked out all other concerns I had with my car and kept me updated throughout the process. They recommended what should be done right away and what should be done soon but not an emergency. I have been to other Firestone’s and nothing beats the Newington one!! These guys are hard workers. Thank you Firestone!

Used to be a reliable place but it has really tanked lately. I made an appointment for today for an alignment and a check of some potential damage sustained at a carwash. Raced over here right after work only to find that the appointment was somehow in the computer but not on the schedule - which is booked solid. Wasted my time and gas to be told nobody had time to look at my car even though I had made an appointment. Going somewhere else from now on.

Probably one of the better tire shops Ive been too. Front of store staff was knowledgeable and attentive. Shop folks treated my car with care and even returned my seat to as close as they could to my setting and removed the paper mats unlike many other garages. They worked quickly and efficiently and got me out sooner than expected and did solid work.

Very friendly place that gets you in and out quickly. We have used them for full tire replacement and to fix a tire. Each time we were very happy with the service and the time to complete it. You can make an appointment online and they took me in right away, which is really appreciated. I will continue to use them for all my tire needs.

Took my car to here praying that the 5th place I had tried to get an oil change at would be the charm. It was! They took me right in and within an hour they took care of me. Guy at the counter was polite. I expected to have them try to upsell me, since I am a woman, and they did. Tried to get me to replace at least 2 of my tires. Was told I needed four, but at least 2. I opted out of that and just had them rotate the two front and rear sets. I was also told I needed a battery, but also opted not to do that since I havent had any issues. Not shocking to try to be sold tires at a tire place. I will get a second opinion on both and decide what to do at that point. Im sorta surprised they didnt catch a suspension issue that Ive known about for a while and try to sell me on that, but they didnt. Very nice and got me in and out in about an hour. Cost me $40ish and that included the tire rotation, so not bad to me.

This is the most professional and nice Firestone Ive ever been to. I even overheard one of the long term employees training a new guy and saying treat it like your second home, we are all family here. I go out of my way to go to this location even though there are other Firestone stores closer to where I live.

Got out of the gym on the Turnpike, saw I had a flat. They were closing in 45 mins and were willing to not leave me on the road to repair it. Great service. Will be back again if I get any more flats.

There at five of for 7 oclock opening. No one shows up until 7:25. I left,had appointments I needed to get to. Three other people left ahead of me and one guy was trying to make a delivery. He also left.Poor management not open when scheduled. Staff were also waiting. No Excuse.

Awesome shop, clean, friendly. I went here after having a horrible experience at Connecticut Tire, where they over torqued my lug bolts by +100 foot pounds. I have alloy rims, it is important to torque them to the exact tightness. I called first, and Ray explained their process: They take the tires/wheels off, then when putting back on the car they tighten each lug to 55 ft/lbs. Then they lower the car, and hand torque the lugs to the factory spec. Then a second technician double checks torque with a second torque wrench. They dont use torque sticks, which is awesome. I had him look up what their computer said for my 1996 Volvo 850, and it was dead on at 81ft/lbs. Highly recommend this shop, they wont ruin your lug studs/nuts. Thanks!

The Mechanics told me that I needed an expensive part for the car, and I only needed an oil change. Not thrilled with the mechanics there.

Abysmal support from the service manger. Flat out refused to help me with installing an inner tube installed on a low speed tractor tire. One of the employees stepped in and offered to break the tire bead off the rim for me which was helpful but the service manger was the worst I have ever dealt with. This was at 510 on March 5th 2020

I have been get service from this Firestone location for the last couple years very professional, detail service but last time i was very much disappointed because they just did regular oil change and did not check any other fluids and did not fill water, I have to drive again after two days and see manager, he just took my keys and filled water and did not said any apology, i did not expect such service from this location.I am not recommend any one...

Unprofessional. Cant do the alignment on the first try, left the steering wheel crooked to the left. Each tire had different pressure .

Totally ripp off they charge me $400 to install a new starter. Material $222.58 ( Autozone price 85.00 same model). Labor: I ask how much is the labor charge per hour, they told me the computer calculate the price by the job not by hour. That is lay every repair shop has a labor charge. The computer calculate almost 1 hour of labor. The technician was done in 20 minute my calculate is $7.5 per minute wooooow!!!. The remaining charge was for the diagnostic normally if you decide to repair the car you get the money back, not at Firestone. I have family and friends going to Firestone I would make sure they choose a different car repair shop.

Staff was friendly and the wait time wasnt bad to get an oil change. However i noticed recently the oil cap was not put on correctly and moisture got in and caused the oil to get foamy around the cap. Went to change it my sell but the put the drain plug in so tight it broke my socket. I have to take my truck some where else just to get the drain plug out.
