Precision propeller came as a recommendation from a family friend. Have had a few family members use them over 8 years ago and the service has always been fantastic. Highly recommended and very processional.Had to bring this stainless steel prop for a yahmaha 250 after scrapping the bottom in the Long Island sound. Not Terrible damage as you can see in the photos but still needed to be fixed.I called them up, explained the situation, and They said there’s a flat fee for the basic fix. Sold, I said!Picked up the prop today and it’s as good as new!!! Cleaned inside and out. They did an amazing job! Thanks again!!
Wrestling with a bewildering engine/propeller problem, on an older motor and boat, for three years. Had heard about Precision, by reputation, a number of times. At the end of my rope, I placed a call. The woman that answered volunteered Ill have the owner talk to you. He may be able to solve it, over the phone. The owner, Gabe, came to the phone right away and spent more time than he reasonably should have asking questions to help dial in the problem. He told me to send him photos and go back to some parts suppliers. He called back right away, after I had sent him a few things. Then, he suggested I try a few simple things. He closed by referring me to businesses he trusted, as the problem did not seem to be a prop issue. Im struck by the integrity that brought me there, consults without asking for anything, refers business away and leaves me disappointed that I cant use him. Old school.
Gabe is very professional and an honest businessman. We have used their service and consulted with him on numerous occasions. Prompt service and expert work.
Gabe knows propellers and will spend the time to give you detailed information on any issues you may be having. Do not know why you would go anywhere else.
The owner Gabe is absolutely awesome and very knowledgeable
Family owned business with great customer service and quality work.
They fixed up a Yamaha prop I damaged when I ran aground. They did excellent work and it was done in good time.I would not hesitate to recomend them for any prop repair.
Thanks Gabe! He went above and beyond to get us up and running and back on schedule. Very professional and prompt service. Hard to find vendors that respond like this anymore.
Gabe, the owner, is awesome and the whole shop does great work.We touched bottom twice on the Erie Canal. The first time right at the outset and we swapped the spares on, and then we hit bottom hard near the eastern end. This left me with 3 pairs of Volvo IPS props. 2 sets (4 props) that needed modest reconditioning, and the 3rd set mangled pretty badly. We putted out to the Hudson on the port props which werent too bad till we got to someone who could lift the boat. Gabe squeezed in fixing our lightly damaged props in just 2 days so we could be on our way and finish the trip to Boston. The mangled props took just another week before they could ship them to us.We were stuck and Gabe really jumped through the hoops to help us. Great customer service, they have a customer for life even though they arent in my area, Ill ship the props to them rather than trust anyone else.
I was stuck 5 hours from home on a holiday weekend - Gabe and the team from precision not only accommodated me but I swear my boat ran better than new on the way home. You wont be sorry sending your props here!
Great job!! Very easy to deal with. Thanks gabe
Gabe and crew are excellent to work with and they provide top notch customer service. Highly recommend!
Great first impression Amazing service very easy to work with life time prop shop for me highly recommended
Extremely helpful
Before giving my props to Gabe, I was having trouble finding some coupling hardware for my V-Drives. I sent Gabe a picture and within 5 minutes, he recognized the damaged King Nuts by the Manufacturer and shaft style. Even sent me the contact number. I had been to 4 other shops in person trying to find the nuts and he did it by a picture.Needless to say, when it came time to figure out why I wasnt getting the speed from my new twin Mercruiser 7.4 Motors, Gabe was the first call I made. He checked my props and came up with a game plan to correct terrible work by another shop that will remain nameless. He kept me abreast of his plan, shared picture updates and the Props came back looking better than new. He is amazing and he has a customer for life!
A local marina dropped one our propellers in the Hudson, and it was lost to the ages. Gabe and the folks at Precision were wonderful in helping us get a new prop built, and also in dressing our other main and spare props. The prop work is top notch, but even better is the service mentality that prevails at Precision. I wish every business we used adhered to the standards Precision abides by. It sets the bar.
Gabe from Precision Propeller went above and beyond the call of service to help me out with the issues I was having on my boat. I am located about an hour away from their offices and he personally delivered my propellers in order to manage the amount of time my boat was out of the water. He was generous to loan me his propeller puller without hesitation. He took time to come by and inspect my shafts to make sure I put them on right, which was a huge help in avoiding a future problem. As a seasoned boater I have had my fair share of issues, as anyone with a boat knows you are at the mercy of the people in the service industry, especially when a problem arises! I did not have these issues when dealing with Precision Propeller. They were hands on, attentive and provided white glove service. I can not thank Gabe enough for going above and beyond to help me, his dedication and service were hands down the best Ive ever received. I appreciate a job well done and they indeed did just that.
I needed to get a new shaft for one of our company boats so I went to a place in Massachusetts and was told that I would have it in 2 weeks. Well after 2 weeks they still had not even ordered the material so I called Gabe at Precision Propeller on Thursday morning. I told him that I needed a shaft by Monday so we could install it and launch on Tuesday. Gabe told me that he could get it done and he did!Gabe has always done a great job on our props and he really went above and beyond in getting this shaft done in a few days on such short notice. Gabe was very accessible during all this and I would highly recommend him and his crew to anyone looking for shaft or propeller work.
I had an unfortunate meeting with an old concrete footing on the Erie canal, the props were delivered to Precision Propeller Repair not knowing if all four would be repairable, they came back in record time good as new. Gabe and his crew are the best, thanks again for the top drawer service.
They know there stuff
I have ruined my 29 prop when I hit an underground pipe in Southern Cali. I took the prop to several prop houses in LA, and no one could fix it. I sent the pictures of the damaged prop to Mike and Gabe, the concluded that it was fixable. I shipped the prop to NY and it was returned withing two weeks (took them 2 days to fix) shipping was one week each way. Their work is that of an artist. They are brilliant, polite, and fair. I only wish we had guys like them in California.
My port dual props for IPS 500 pods needed repair. There was some confusion when I bought the boat that my props were pitched, so I brought Gabe both sets. After we determined they werent, Gabe repaired my port dual props and also tuned the starboard set as well. His work is excellent, professional and knows how to take care of his customers. Well worth the 2 hour drive from Connecticut. He has a customer for life and I will spread the word. Thanks again Gabe.
Over the last 9 years of boating on the Hudson River, Ive managed to damage my propellers more than once. The people here are honest, theyll walk you through figuring out what type of replacement you need, and the prices are reasonable. Ive had a few times the boat would vibrate or run rough. Ive brought the propeller into them and they told me the dings on the propeller wouldnt cause what I was describing. They couldve just sold me a new propeller, but they were honest and told me I didnt need one. Their new location is on Bridge Street in Newburgh, which is just off Route 9W (Robinson Ave).
Gabe did a excellent job on my prop! There were many dings, bent and beat up. When I got it back it looked Better then band new!!! Very Happy
Very helpful always a good outcome with these guys!
Hands down best customer service in the business.
Gabes the man
