One gets to see the original choppers created for the show on Discovery Channel. It’s really interesting to notice the details when you see them live. There is plenty of merchandise also available to buy.I felt the vibe of the place was not very happening as there were hardly anyone there, it could be just the time to the day/year.We didn’t eat anything at their cafe so can’t comment on the food. They do have an arcade that will keep the kids busy for a while.I would recommend if you are passing by this area and you are a fan do visit this place.
Despite misgivings about this place based on INaccurate reviews on Yelp, the food’s quality — and the place’s ambience — were very good. The restaurant at this review’s time was not overly loud, and it was clean. Decent prices. Gorgeous motorcycle memorabilia, with examples of OCC’s spectacular work. Staff friendly enough. Following his historic run for NY Governor, Larry Sharpe appeared here on July 21st, 2019 to inaugurate the Orange County Libertarian Party Convention.
From the garage and easy riding into 2019. OCC has inspired and instigated entrepreneurship innovation. The concept is original by self manufacturing and maximised on full throttle opportunity. From garage bike building, to a beer at their cafe. All the fun has been bounced around within imagination here. Its an honorable visual archive of how it happened through the companys shared tenures. America, or better said, the world has witnessed its Ametican dream story. For me, it was eye candy and memories as I was a fan of its growth through the years. As an artist, I certainly appreciate the minds behind the mechanics that took place here along with all of a long list of passionate personalities that have become the nuts and bolts to what Orange County Choppers has become to be. Forever it will remain a part of our Americana culture.Ps. Great customer service and good energy. My food was fresh and my beer was on the money in a frosted thick glass mug!
I think we must have been in a different restaurant than other reviewers, maybe we just got lucky. We were at the OCC Cafe midweek around early dinner time. Service was just fine and the burgers and fries were fantastic. There wasnt a lot of business at the time. We would go back often, but were 200 miles away.
First time visiting OCC. Went on a Thursday around 12pm and the parking lot was empty, as in no other car but mine. I wasnt sure they were open, but luckily they were. Enjoyed seeing many of the bikes in the sales area. Had a lot of merchandise for sale and they have a display case showing stuff for sale also. They also oddly had a bunch of games, that is in the back right after entering, that have tickets to turn in for prizes. Which I found odd. Also odd was that half the display case was showing the prizes you can buy with the tickets you win from the games which again, to me is odd having the games when their business is to sell bikes or collectables with their logo.I didnt realize they did tours, and would have done one if I had more time. They had a sign at the back of the store noting no photos or videos beyond that point. Im guessing has something to do with the new series they are now shooting again.Enjoyed my visit and seeing many of the bikes they built from the series. Also liked the Mikey for President shirts they had for sale.
Stopped in on my way further north to see the bikes. Had no idea there was a bar and food available, as well as an arcade. The feeling inside is very depressing. Place was empty at lunch time. No one playing any of the games, two people sitting at opposite ends of the bar drinking beers. Strange to see all the games lit up and no one playing. Almost felt like one of those Armageddon movies with all the machines working and no one around. Bikes were cool but wont be going back.
The family and I had an amazing visit. While a fan of the American Chopper series since the began; to see many of the bikes in person was awesome. While there today, OCC was hosting a fund raiser for the Hudson Valley ASPCA. We entered the raffle, winning product samples from the participants, and tee shirts from OCC. Awesome visit, thank you OCC.
Ive been there a few times, and enjoyed it.. wish they would keep it open for the people here to enjoy and continue to do business there...
Unfortunately this place is closed and the equipment is up for auction.I have been there in the past this place was a really good establishment and was very happy with the quality they had there.
Great Place To See Several Of The Choppers from the tv Show and Great place to eat and hear live music and have an event and tour the manufacturing area of the Choppers we all so Loved
What a sad state of affairs this building is in. Very few bikes, of the 6 bikes on display only 1 is from a show. This is a prime example of a poorly run business and how bankruptcy will impact a person/business.Terrible selection of merchandise and nothing was open in the lobby. Bar/kitchen was closed and the arcade was also closed. Doubtful this was purely driven by COVID. Glad I was here in its prime. The journey of our motorcycle trip was more worth the trip than the destination.
If you are going to see any of the bikes built on the show, forget it. We went on a Saturday and there were a total of 8 bikes, 2 of which looked like they were taken out of a garage and put on the showroom floor. Food and cafe were marginal at best. I was extremely disappointed with my trip seeing as I have been a fan of the show since the beginning. At least the kids had fun in the arcade that took up most of the room in the public area of the building.
Me and the kids loved this place. They have food, games and a mini motorcycle museum that is totally awesome. It was only one other table there when we arrived around 6ish on a Sunday. The place was pretty quiet. The server was nice and attentive. The kids mac and cheese was not as expected. It was penne pasta with a cheese that was not the best. The chicken sandwich was absolutely amazing! I want to go back just for another. The wings were ok. Nothing crazy about them. The games are not expensive and theyre fun for the family. The motorcycles on display were awesome. We found out at the end of our stay that they also have escape rooms and lazer tag. We are definitely going back now.
Very help staff was interested in buy a helmet for my wife the lady had to check and see if she could get it in her size left our info with her and she got back to us the next day even though she could get us the helmet she gave us info about the new line of helmets they would be getting in my wife n I will be back this summer
My name is VladislavIm 🇺🇦 10 🇺🇦 years old For peace in all the world i can ride around all States of America on ATV made by Paul Teutul sr OCC, Chip Foose🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸✌✌✌✌✌Dream Chopper
Went there today to a very sad site. The place looks run down even the walkway. 1 bike on the floor and over priced merchandise. The cafe/bar is closed as well. Do everyone a favor and make it known your are going out of business so they dont waste a trip.
I told my friends about this restaurant with my highest recommendations. I visit this place often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The the cooking is appetizing and the team is very friendly and cooperative. Every time we visit this place we have a pleasing time. warmly recommended.
Just watched the episode of your build with your son. I am truly upset at how you treated your son during the build. Everything he built you destroyed and ripped off. When you told him it was a collaboration he was excited and the very second he had even the smallest idea you yelled at him and shot his ideas down. Paul Jr i am sorry that you are the only one putting effort forward in the relationship and unfortunately your effort is directed to a blank brick wall.
Place is washed up. Stopped for lunch and yuck.... worst food ever. Not like it once was. Never again. The place is stale. Seems they no longer build bikes. People on staff said there is no more tours offered. So, much for taking our guests there who were looking forward to it. Such a disaster
After watching the show for years I had anticipated a much better experience when we stopped in for lunch. We ordered 3 burgers; All of them were close to rare. Fries were cold. Restaurant was not very clean; retail space was lacking. Bathrooms; 2 out of 3 toilets not working, and several holes in the walls. Not the experience I was looking for.
Me and my family came here to our family’s place and visited here this week, there were only like 6 bikes that you could look at, and that’s not even the bad part, my mom naught my dad a $29.99 OCC newberg T-Shirt and the cash register dude took off the tag from the shirt and charged us $35.00. Let’s call it a $5.00 tip if they’re that screwed with their money
The transport company I work has deliveries just up the street and I always want to stop. Yesterday, another driver and I finally had time to stop and eat. He had the fish and chips and said he found the fish of good quality and the sauce better than most. I had the trick burger and fries and enjoyed it very much. Wasnt so busy, but service was quick, friendly and the food came out timely. Yes there are holes in the walls of the mens bathroom, but if people wouldnt be cheap, thieves, then it would have been mice. Shame they tried to do something nice and people have to ruin it. Happy to go back.
Such an iconic building even with the show off the air. It is sad to see how it has become so run down in such a short time. None of the bikes are still around - Maybe 1 or 2 remained. Mostly old choppers from someones garage fill the windows now. Sad to see what it once was - to what it is now.Received a gift card for 50 dollars. Finally took the drive with card and the holder. Place was a ghost town at first then a group of 20 ppl came in. Then me and my son decided to stay and eat. The bartender was very nice and came over took our order and got the app out to us fairly quickly. After that it took about an hour to get the food.. Due to the big party that came in first. My son did enjoy his burger. I had nachos and they were ok..Total bill was 34 dollars - Then they said due to change of owners - I was covered but didnt get any change or card with balance to make up the 16 dollar difference. Wont be back again.. I cant see this place staying around much longer. Totally run down.
Under new management. New chefs and staff. Great service. Was packed there last night. I had a margarita flat bread it was delicious!!! And try the explosion salad Yummy! Prices were very reasonable and to top it all off the 🍺 beer was ice cold . 😊
Called in here while visiting in NY. Very disappointed to be fair, about 4 old bikes in the building, gathering dust, no real atmosphere to venue, had a drink at the bar after chasing service and then very disappointed with the workshop tour. We were shown round a pretty much empty workshop, no people and no bikes being worked on. Shown a large pair of trainers and passed a few pictures to hold of bikes. There were no stories of how it came to be and how iconic it was etc which is why I was expecting, but disappointed as I paid $7 to walk around an empty shop which I could have done at home ! Afterwards I ask a general question about the press and how things are now, and the guide just looked at me said nothing and walked off. Quite rude and felt that the staff should have at least have some scripted reply to the current state as by visiting we are a only supporting. I wouldn’t recommend as you are better off with your tv show memories .....
Food was delicious. Had the fried chicken burger and it was very tasty. Fries were absolutely delicious. Definitely coming back here!
Really wanted to like this place. Very kid friendly. The theme is cool and the people are very nice. The food was not very good though and the service was slow.
This is a great place to eat. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon coffee. Food was excellent and the staff was lovely
The show might have gotten old towards the end. However I had a great experience with my dad here. We got to take a shop tour, see the bikes, had great food, and reasonably priced merchandise made the trip a great way to spend a vacation from work.
Good typical bar food. Beer was cold but half way through the meal I noticed lipstick on my glass. A total turn off and after telling the barmaid, she did offer another. However, we had to leave so we said no. We expected the beer to be removed from the bill, it wasnt. Took the $5 out of her tip.
Cool place. Friendly service. Food was much better than I expected coming from a attraction restaurant. Got the potstickers and burger. Everything was fresh, and not out of a microwave. Loved the O.C.C. iron brand on the burger bun.
What a great ride this family had with OC Choppers. They went from those small country shops where they made such great bikes to one of the most popular shows on TLC. I loved the bikes they made and even the family dynamics. It enabled them to build this beautiful edifice, which was a tourist destination of studio, machine shop, museum and gift shop with a pretty good BBQ bar and grill cafe thrown
Nice place excellent attention.
My husband is a big fan of the OCC show, so for his birthday I decided to take him to the cafe. Its a nice little spot, I was expecting more motorcycle related decor in the cafe area but it was still nicely decorated to theme. Our server was Jessica, she was a sweet girl and did a good job serving our party of five. The food was okay, nothing out of this world but we did only order burgers and chicken tenders and macaroni...it tasted just fine. I did like the little added touch where they burnt the OCC logo onto the burger buns. It was a little pricey but its expected when you go to a place thats well known for one thing and trying to expand their brand to other areas. I would say its pretty comparable to your typical sit down chain restaurant. Our kids did enjoy the pool tables and arcade games. It kept them entertained while waiting for their food to come out and afterwards while mom and dad finished their dinner. Theres a little bowling alley we plan on returning to try out soon.Overall, it was a good experience for the family.
Awesome place and food, games, laser tag, escape rooms were awesome. What a destination place! Not to mention the coolBikes
Great time, so glad we stopped by here on our road trip to New York in late August. Christine in the front offered the best customer service imaginable and we did get to meet Paul Senior and his nephew Nick on the tour through back and they are great people. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the shirt I bought my son is really good quality. I would highly recommend stopping by.
The food was fabulous and prices werent to bad. The staff could have been a little nicer but all in all a nice place to eat. Now if your a chopper enthusiast I highly recommend going here. Some of there best work is here.
Great food and drinks! The bartender was amazing! We came from Rhode Island to visit OCC. It was worth the trip! Maybe next time we visit Mikey will be there. 😊
I live local and like to spend local I didnt even have to walk in to get a horrible experience. !! 😑I called on the phone to make sure they were open it was Sunday night and the website hours were conflicting one place they said 7 and another place they said 10, so I called the guy who answered the phone had no idea what the hours were he then proceeded to tell me that business was slow and they were closing at 8 oclock he asked me if I knew what you meant, so then I asked him if the bowling alley was open due to the website spotlighted how unique it was. He the. told me they were having trouble with the bowling alley so it was closed 🎡🎪 I got the impression that he was not telling me the truth because he was stuttering and mumbling 🤡and trying to figure out what to say to me to discourage me from coming in !!!Its never too late to make a change sometimes that means cleaning house reading all the negative reviews it sounds like they need employees focused on customer service and hospitality and probably a new chef not to mention a manager dedicated to ensuring the food comes out hot, the drinks are cold and attention is paid to customer satisfaction.
Love the show so we wanted to check OCC out. We really enjoyed seeing all the bikes that were on hand from all the different shows. Took the tour and got to meet Paul Sr and Mikey..Really nice guys. We really enjoyed it.
New menus very different very quiet not what it was like in the past.. no more chicken parm dinner
Service department was very helpful and very good. Would highly recommend even if just for an oil change. (Which is what I had done this visit)
I was not expecting a video arcade and bowling alley but what the hell. The prices were not over the top and the choppers on display were out of this world. Great way to spend an hour or two.
Great burgers every single time! They brand the buns which is a nice touch. I go to the local car auction every other week and stop here when I have time. Im not sure why the bad reviews, but I have not been disappointed! Try it for yourself!
We were there twice yesterday. We dont have a car and that was our only choice. The lunch was good. She we came back for dinner, we bought a salad that took a half hour. We got it to go. Got back to our hotel and there was no dressing. We were never asked about dressing, but really????? Salad was good, but service poor. ( Who doesnt serve appetizers for happy hour?)
4.3 stars? Really? I think people are blinded by shiny motorcycles and loud speakers. The food was okay. Just okay. Service was good.I was there at 6pm on a Thursday and the music was THUMPING. I was there to eat dinner. I didnt want to have my ears drums abused by large, crappy speakers. If the food was fantastic, as the previous reviews suggest, I would not have complained. But here we are.So here it is: go there to see some outrageous [clearly useless] motorcycles, eat some mediocre food, and have your ear drums bleed.I will say: its super cool that they have a small bowling alley, some pin ball machines and such.
Ver poor service. The blond female bartender literally opened up the check book so we can pay. It was very rude. I have worked in many types of venues. But rudeness doesnt help an establishment. I figured if the chicken nuggets were bad. At least service couldnt be worse. The only good thing there was the bike display, and the friendly chef who asked us how our chicken was. We gave him feedback that the chicken tasted artificial. Not real chicken breast. It was my first time there and my last. So, hopefully their customer service improves. The bar wasnt even slammed for us to get poor service. No excuses
Waited almost 2 hours after sitting down for 2 cheeseburgers and a kids grilled cheese... waiter ignored the table and when I finally got his attention for some napkins because the table had none he blew it off so I had to go get my own. The food is comparable to McDonalds just greasy and gross.. and to top it off the waiter decided to add a 40% gratuity fee to the bill and rolled his eyes when I told him to remove it. This was my first time here and will most definitely be the last
We were so excited to come here but we left so disappointed... they lost our reservation for 12 people, they then took forever to get is our food and drinks. The food was hot but the food was under cooked and the fish and chips, was frozen in the center, we then waited 45 minutes for our tickets and then the guy didnt come get them till we hounded so we could go, while there we saw others be seated for 20 to 30 minutes with no menus and had to get up and ask for help...it was sad and very disappointing....
There is no longer a bowling alley here. It’s closed down. But the arcade is nice
Great place if your a fan or like bikes. Food cafe was great.Great prices.
Food was great. It stops there. Service was awful. The waitress Holly was absolutely a mess. We couldnt get refills, the tickets were completely screwed up more than once. An automatic tip is added to the bill and it shouldnt be. The bathrooms were not clean. Only one stall worked.
Staff was nice. wasnt really impressed with the show room, Im from south ga and honestly the Harley Davidson in Daytona Beach had more to look at.really I know Harley is bigger but really was disappointed.
Great place...great food, $5.00 for tour and was able to meet everyone involved with the show...Paul Sr. was awesome!!!!
The worst food. We were told the big boss made a shortened set menu for the events there this weekend and would not allow ANY substitutions... BAD IDEA! They had entres with no sides. Nearly $20 for a half rack ribs and they wont give u French fries or mash... when they have those for the burgers. The burgers were some weird consistency, rubbery, and the fries were mushy. The cod tasted like frozen fish. Waited over a half hour for burgers. The only nice thing was our waitress who really tried to help. Complained and all they gave us was a sorry... terrible customer service!
Nice to see new bikes!
High rated about 6 it was very cool seeing some of the motorcycles that were built on TV actually there. But I really expected more its not as big as I thought from seeing it from TV it wasnt as clean as I thought it should be the carpet was very dirty and needed vacuuming. But the one cashier that was there when not on her cell phone texting she was very helpful.,The inventory of the shirts I thought was lacking a lot especially being nationally recognized company. But I have always wanted to see it for myself. So! I went, I conquered, I left,
We went in December 2013. Shop staff were very helpful and concensus to us. The cafe staff were also really nice and helpful despite a delay in getting our food. While eating we saw some of the staff from the show but when we tried to get a picture or autograph they were more interested in messing around with each other (Jason) These people have to understand without the fans they would not be in the position they are in today. Did the tour of the workshop and Rick was working but did interact and say hi to us all.
Atmosphere was very welcoming and very family oriented! Plus the food was amazing!!!! Couldn’t beat the wings—there to die for!!!! Definitely recommend!
I don’t even know where to start ... first off they have a sign at the door that says wait to be seated AND THEY NEVER CAME AND SEATED ME! I sat there for 15 mins till I decided to go to the bar. Went to the bar and waited another 10 mins. By the time I order my wings I’ve waited a whole hour for some overly drenched in BBQ sauce on these baby wings they gave me for a 11.99. Poor customer service Poor food and worst Poor EVERYTHING. I just hated it
2nd visit to OCC. Dramatic improvement since last year. Staff pleasant and friendly today. Place was clean, well organized, merchandise displayed neatly. Bikes displayed with pride and care. Placards by bikes detailing the episodes and significance of each bike. Whole place, including showroom, restrooms, cafe, gameroom, and common area were clean and neat. Last time was dirty, dusty, and nasty. So happy to see improvements. 😎
Easiky the Most awesome visit anywhere hands down. Paul Sr & Mikey was the most sincere & gracious people one could ever meet. They are simply great people. It was the a privilege to have met them in person. OCC rules!
Great burgers n steak. Awesome atmosphere. If you like burgers, beers and bikes youve gotta stop
Nice tour. We were here on a filming day. Can see samples of bikes from showRecommend!
Showroom was awesome. Cafe needs work on food. Order well done burger and came out rare.
Ok place. Waitress was VERY nice and made the review go from 2 star to 3. Nice staff in general. Restaurant could be a little cleaner on the tables and menus.
Severely disappointing. Stopped in after work (yeah, we dont look pretty after a day on the construction site). After advertising 16 beers on tap, only 5 were available (the locals next to me finished of the last, leaving 4 tapped kegs). Tried to order food, but took the hint after being ignored for 30 minutes. Whats the point in returning after that? Apparently you need a suit and tie to be considered worthy of service. Dont understand why Paul Sr. would allow his brand on this place. Its a pity Google doesnt offer a half-star rating...PS, this is their 50 cent wing night. Still cant get either bartender to look in our general direction. Just so absolutely disappointing...
Amazing showroom! Tons of wicked bike on display. Nice restaurant & bar as well. The food was good & wait staff attentive & friendly. Would go back if in area again!
Ive been here a few times for live music. Last night was the first time I tried their food. I really wasnt impressed by the food. My burger came overcooked and over seasoned as did my dates. The fries were cold and not anywhere near crisp. The server didnt check back on us until our meals were finished to see how things were. In the end, they did the right thing, but with all the places there are to choose from to eat, this wont be one of them.Ill still go for drinks and live music though.
I used to watch the show and since I was in the area I thought Id stop by and have a look. The place was practically empty for a Saturday afternoon. It was nice to see some of the bikes and the staff was nice but the place needs some maintenance and upkeep. Parking lot beer bottles here and there and even a broken one. It was still there when I came out. Bathroom dirty, toilet seat broken. Just little things all over that need addressed. I didnt eat here so I cant speak about the food. Shirts were all on clearance. Got a $26 shirt for $10. Not bad.
I have worked in the service industry for many years.....this by far is the worst experience I have ever had in an establishment... I have never in my life left a waitress 10% tip...bar tenders are slow, we basically begged a waiter to bring us food. Its terrible....if it wasnt for the band we like i would have left i will never come back
Had a great time. The food was spot on. The craftmanship that goes in to the bikes is killer. The tv show does not do justice when you get to see the bikes up close like that. The tour was awesome got to me Sr and he was really cool seen him turning some wrenches that was cool as well. Wouldnt mind going again some time
Have a super time giving to shop on Tuesday morning and taking the tour cant wait till the go kart track is open will be back
The place was dirty, the waitress knew nothing about being a waitress and the food was terrible. I used to come often but haven’t been there in a few years. I used to brag about the burgers to friends. But tonight they tasted like frozen burgers. We asked for well done and both came out rare. The fries and onion rings were soggy too. We didn’t even eat the food and the waitress tried to bill us for the meal. There is no way they don’t know how bad the place is so I won’t recommend it to anyone anymore. I’m done.***UPDATE: I sent them a message on Instagram about my experience and they blocked my account lol. What customer service eh.******UPDATE 2: I talked to the manager today. All he said was sorry and that he doesn’t get any complaints. Clearly he’s not reading online reviews. And never once did he try and make my experience right by saying come in and your next burger is on us or anything at all. They are a total joke.***
This place has gone way downhill. Im going to give it the benefit of the doubt for the Corona closure, but it still looks sad. Like an arcade barely hanging on in a town where all the kids have grown. I think it should have closed years ago, its well passed its prime.
Amazing craftsmanship, artistry, and detail. Each bike is its own masterpiece and they gave to be seen in person to truly appreciate them. Also got to meet Sr during the tour, what a great guy. Awesome experience all around, and if anywhere remotely close to Newburgh, NY, definitely worth the time to stop and see. OCC Cafe on site for a grub break as well!
