They do fantastic work . A bit expensive almost same price as dealer. But if very trusted mechanics
Brought my ARI vehicle ford explorer here to fix some semi deep scratches on rear passenger door. Took only 5 days, and worth the wait. The staff was very nice and professional, they did a fantastic job. The exterior appears like it is coming of a sales lot. They even did a interior detail, which saved me money. I highly recommend this place for your auto body needs.
My car was involved in a crime. Art and Johns people treated us like family. They are Honest and good people. There work was by far excellent. Anyone who needs body work and asks me. Will be told to go to Art and Johns. Great People. Great Work. Thanks Again.
John and Kenny and Sondra and Angelica helped us through a very difficult situation when we had an accident with our 2017 Toyota Sienna. They repaired our car with humility and care to the point that our Sienna looks better than ever. They are sincere and honest and do incredible work! Thanks guys! No wonder Toyota dealers recommend your body shop.
Honest, Humble and a Blessing from God.-That is how I describe Art & John’s.I left my car at Art & John’s for 2 weeks after totaling it in an accident. It dawned on me (2 weeks later) that I never got in touch with the tow truck company who towed my car and still had my car. I had never paid them for the tow..and then I realized I was going to be charged a storage fee, most likely by the day. I went to bed that night praying to God for a miracle.. I could only imagine what the bill was going to look like. I called the next day, spoke to a gentlemen who was extremely nice and informed me to call back in a little while when Angelica was in. I called and spoke to Angelica, (who was also very nice and sweet) and when I told her I did not have collision on my car, she said they were not going to charge me an arm and a leg for storage fees after I just totaled my car and that it would only cost $125. I hung up the phone and shouted Hallelujah, Praise God!!I got a chance to speak with the owner and he was very nice and very humble, very genuine and kind. I was literally blown away by my experience. Thank-you for being God’s answer to my prayer!
My alternator kept going out & it was aFriday John knew I didn’t want to be without my car for the weekend the staff was so kind to me, even though I didn’t get work done there that day they found another shop for someone to take care of me. Very helpful & honest. Even removed a scratch I had on my car for free! Would definitely being going back for ANY work I need done to my car, they’re great!
Went there for an estimate for my car mirror, I asked for an estimate to repaint my mirror. He looked at the mirror, went back inside, came out with a buffer and some compound. Buffed out the marks and sent me on my way..NO CHARGE...a few years ago they replaced the fender and painted it for almost half of the cost of the other estimates that I had..it is hard to find an honest business that does quality work..I would recommend this business to anyone...
These guys/lady helped me out big time. They got my car back on the road quickly and for what I could afford. Recommended by Toyota dealer for body work, they helped with everything else too. And very welcoming and polite. Much appreciated.
John has exceeded my expectations and more. Hes an amazing, honest guy with an amazing crew and they do amazing work. His location is very easy to find, they charge you for the work they do and not a penny more. The enviroment is warm and welcoming and you are kindly greeted by all associates. I will be returning for all of my auto body repair needs and I suggest you check them out first before going anywhere else. I promise you wont be disappointed.
I find they do great work on detailing, also I personally find them quite professional.
I took my car to Art &Johns collision on Mill st. Owned by the same people one part of the building is on bridge st the other part on Mill st. Terrible experience. I informed John about a noise in my car. I left my car a few hours thinking he would drive it look at it etc. He just looked at it told me what was wrong I bought it back and got it fixed. To turn around and find out that wasnt the issue same noise continued. I bought it back let the workers know and the worker said he never drove it so he would drive it to see the problem. He told me it was something with the breaks and not the part John originally said. I left my car again called and spoke with John and he was very rude. I went to get my car they took off new parts and never put back on my old parts and didnt give me all of my money back. Im in the process of taking him to small claims court. Beware!!!
I was in the area for the weekend & had an incident with side mirror. My friends googled the closest shop so we took a ride. The gentleman was so friendly and professional. I explained to him that I was from out of town and was nervous to drive back to NYC the way my mirror was. He told me that I needed a whole new mirror and it would have to be ordered. He then adjusted my mirror and taped it so I could get home safely without a problem. When I went to pay him for his time, he declined and said it was his pleasure. Thank you so much for your kind assistance!
I live in Jersey but was visiting a family friend this weekend in Fishkill, NY. After picking up some food on Saturday evening, my car refused to start. Left my car there and came back the next morning; which also happened to be Superbowl Sunday. Called Geico who sent someone over to check the battery. He told me its my starter and that I should call a tow truck. My family friend uses Art & Johns, and sent me their info. I spoke with John Coen and although he told me he could not do anything until tomorrow, he stayed with me on the phone for 15 minutes; giving me ideas and suggestions. I didnt even ask him for help or tips. I only asked if someone could fix my car today. I guess he could sense the panic in my voice and knew I that I would be stuck here until tomorrow. We tried different things and 15 minutes later, my car started. I was so happy. Imagine the excitement I felt after hours of trying to get it working! I cannot speak for their quality of work. But, if someone is that patient, informative and compassionate enough to assist a stranger with no monetary reciprocation, then clearly this is someone that cares about his company and knows what the hell he is doing. You dont find many people like that anymore.
My sons car broke down in Newburgh and we were SOL. I ran into Ken from K&D Towing who recommended Jon from Art & Johns. It was late in the evening so Ken said he would tow my sons car there and gave me Johns number. When I called the next morning they said the car was being worked on and they would call me back. a couple of hours later they called and told me the car was ready and told me the problem and cost. I was pleased that they had diagnosed the problem and even more pleased that they did not take advantage of us.I highly recommend this shop - If you need any work done, John is a great mechanic and exhibits a level of honor and integrity that has become too rare in this world.Thank you to you John and your crew!!!
My car came out excellent
Very nice and respectful
I was in an accident and was recommended by the local dealer to bring my car to this body shop. The insurance company payed for 6 days of rental but the shop had my car for 3 weeks and cost me 400 dollars. After 3 weeks they told me to pick mycar up at 3 pm. When I got there they made me sit there and wait till 6 pm. On the way home I was pulled over because my lights were not working.I called the shop and spoke to John the owner and got nowhere. They are very unorganized and it appears that the owner has no clue. I decided to take my vehicle to another shop to repair the lights. Stressful experience.
In regards to Nicholas Grahams review, I would like to inform you, his real name is Brian Graham. I was personally involved in this transaction with Brian. Mr. Graham bought the truck off of me in early February 2013. The vehicle was a 2002 Ford Ranger with 22k miles on the odometer. Relatively unused and in excellent condition. He arrived with no temporary transport plate ( as NY does not issue them) and he, not I took a plate off his transport vehicle and placed it on the truck. He left and I called him 4 hrs later to see if he made it home. He stated the truck ran beautifully and wrote a feed back on Ebay and stated:Truck was everything advertised :) Love it. Thank you for the easy transaction. Member id nickguitarguy ( Feedback Score Of 378) Feb-26-13 06:28Mr. Graham then contacted me in early March that he wanted me to pay for ball joints that needed replacement. Even though the vehicle was sold as is I agreed to repair the vehicle. Mr. Graham didnt want to make the return trip and said he would have it done by him for a cost of 1350.00.I said if he did not want us to fix it, we could not pay what he was asking since it is normally a 500.00+- cost and I would compensate him. He accepted the payment, then deliberately and maliscously started on a smear campaign of misrepresenting the facts. I find it extremely troubling when someone can do this, and it needed to be responded to.Everyone knows Art and Johns Auto Repair has a reputation second to none in the area. Mr. Graham has continued to misrepresent the transaction, that he willingly accepted the settlement payment and agreed on acceptance this was settled.
Art & Johns of 86 Bridge St., Newburgh, NYAll I can say is Deceptive deceptive deceptive.I purchased a 2002 Ford Ranger from Art & Johns. At the time it was listed on eBay for sale as a 11 years young Brand New Truck They listed it had such features as a CD Player, cruise control, and tires with 75% life on them. It was listed as 1 owner, and garage kept.I bid on the vehicle as though it had such features. Upon winning the truck auction, I was asked for information to complete registration paperwork. I was charged a $100 doc fee for said paperwork.I drove 4.5 hours to go pickup truck on scheduled day. When I arrived, Joe, the salesman, told me the truck was there and good to go. When he handed me paperwork, I was somewhat confused as the 1 owner truck had 4 transfer papers attatched to it. The truck was not registered in my name and there was no temporary tag as Ive received at EVERY other legitimate car dealer Ive dealt with. When I asked about this he stated they werent registering the vehicle it was my problem to deal with and was advised to move my tag from car that dropped me off onto the back of the vehicle I was picking up. He even was nice enough to provide the tool to do this illegal act.Upon arriving at my home state of Maryland I proceeded to try and register the said vehicle. I was informed by the MVA (DMV) that the seller actually didnt own the vehicle, but 3 transfers back the paperwork was screwed up and that I couldnt register or own the vehicle when it was owned by Dartmouth College Trust Still. I was informed that the dealer should never have sold a truck they didnt own.I then contacted my salesman who said he could make it right by calling the auto auction he purchased it through. I trusted this to be true, and went ahead and began the other process needed to register, such as inspection.Since the truck had been inspected in New York as the dealer had touted, I was under the impression it would pass inspection, but upon inspection, the whole suspension required almost $2050 worth of work to be done. The dealer not liking the price offered to fix it (at my cost of bringing back and my time, not to mention driving illegally for 8 hours+ if I did bring back). I didnt want to go up to NY to have fixed because if there was a problem later it would be back to NY again and again. I got 2 local estimates (from national chains) and offered to cover $700 (tires) of the expenses if they would fix the other $1350 (suspension). I was told that he could do the work for couple hundred dollars and that he was within his rights to not do ANYthing. He then offered $500 to settle (still dont have). Reluctantly I agreed because I know as well as anyone else that to recover $2000 in court (whether you are right or wrong) costs money. I knew that the process would be more expensive than to just take the hit and fix the vehicle. He then told me the auction house had straightened out the paperwork and would overnight the paperwork to get it legal. That was a Friday, and he said expect to get it in the mail Monday. Here it is Tuesday, and no paperwork. I have been paying insurance and paid for a vehicle I can not drive. They lied about features and options, they lied about registering the vehicle, they are not honest and will rip you off. I cant say this enough.BUYER BEWARE!!!!All statements are accurate and I have documentation to back these statements up. This is not liable as they are accurate. If you want proff, ask me and I will provide it.
Excellent services
Antiquated building and unkempt grounds...
Great job
