Just moved into the neighborhood. Staff here are friendly and prices seemed good! Store is organized and clean. I have yet to check out the other supermarkets for comparison.

Very clean store..I like that there is a fresh meat department with butcher. Customer service is awesome.. cashiers very nice.

Doesnt feel comfortable shopping in this location. It doesnt feel like a supermarket. The line doesnt move quickly and the software install in the checkout service is extremely slow. Is not the cashier worker fault, is the system the owner use for checkout. I prefer Twin City.

The workers were very polite they talked with respect and they gave their aid when needed I will recommend many of my friends to go to the store thank you have a great day

Cashier in line 1 Skarly is cool respectful and highly efficient. The store has no pricing on shelves and the weekly circular doesnt process at the register early in the week. At one point they had pigeons in the store during summer COVID. No one claims to speak English. However, they do know how to count!???

We love all the fresh fruits & Carne, but by far. the ZUKO MANGO JUICE POLVO is our best choice/favorite! She makes small 🥤 slushies and reg.juice

Great place to shop, you just cant get much help on the floor because of the language barrier its more of a Spanish speaking shopping center, but they do their best to help........ Just their delivery service that sucks and needs to improved, I dont know if its because of the pandemic, but hopefully they look into it. Great place 👌

I had a driver who was incredibly rude. He didnt greet me, nor did he help me put the food in the truck, or take it out. He was to busy flirting with the spanish ladies. When I asked why he couldnt help me, he mocked me. I will not be coming back. Its not easy being black in a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood.

Very Neat place but very expensive. Everything is Retail price except for item on sale. The cashier women are friendly but yes theres no shelves price. Its a very small sticker with the Retail price.

Though there were some items not on the shelves that I wanted, there was a wide variety of items to be found in the store...this is a plus!! But the lines were insane!!!

The staff are a little rude.. the food is hit or miss because you have to check if the food is not expired.. the lines are long very long. and if have Lost prevention that are following people that you suspect that are potential thieves can you also make sure there enough individuals who 1. Understand English 2. Provide customer service 3. More Cashiers and 4. Make sure there’s No expired food 5. Provide the right prices .. that’s the whole business infrastructure that needs help..

A little high priced

Very racist and prejudice, they have their staff follow around exclusively black people throughout the store. My family and I felt unfairly racially profiled during our visit at this establishment, I surely will never send my people to your store and I surely will never shop here again. Truly disappointed that I cant even comfortably buy food as a black African American women within my own neighborhood!

I had their savings card for almost a year just found out yesterday that I was not even saving points out of all the time I go buying from them and they making money out of my pocket and I didn’t even gain 1 point they do false advertisement to make money out of clients with offering you a card to get points and they don’t even bother registering your info they just care about you going all the time to waste your money at this store. I just wonder if there is a way for when the lady’s at the register that work there scan the card Can they tell at that moment if the client is registered or not. Cause I think that it’s shame if they can tell and all this time almost a year of scanning my card and they never told me I was not registered and took me to forget my keys and wanted to give the register lady my phone number and when I did it never came up at all I was so upset I just thought at that moment that I was being ripped off thinking all this time that I was gaining points towards a prize!!!!😡😡😡😡😡

I wish I had better news this location is great sometimes but they have expired food .I dont trust the meat and will never buy fruit or vegetables. AND VERY HIGH PRICE. The sale items do not scan properly. No one speaks English which only make it more difficult.to ask for assistance..Again expired food .0 stars

Just left the supermarket very disappointed with the butcher disrespect towards me, I was buying $40 in pork and I educated ask him to cut he firm told me I won’t cut it for you but a customer before me he cut I couldn’t understand and I ask him why not and he told me to go some place else’s to buy if I didn’t like it . I got in shock with his answer, I been buying in this place for a long time I will never put a foot in this place again and my entire family either . It’s a new supermarket in Belleville NJ call super fresh I guess we will give them business. If anyone is capable or in charge responsibly of this supermarket FINE FARE should look Into this matter before escalated to more issues . Good luck

I was happy that they were open on Christmas day. I was disgusted when I got home with my cheese and saw that there was fat and what appeared to be meat on the edge of my cheese. Their food is overpriced especially their no-name brands. Some if their brand named packages were pre- price by the manufacturer and they could not alter it.

This little Spanish latino spot is great to buy your fruits and vegetables from I wouldnt trust the meat here but thats just me everytime I walk pass i smell the meat and it doesnt smell too good. Other than that they have some decent prices some high some low but the fruit here vegetables is what i really go for here unlike shoprite with there low quality pick of foods this place has it all.

Edit 10/15/2018: A Google error gave the wrong opening time and thats where this review came from since it is the closest market near me. After doing research, I found out it actually open roughly around 7am-8am. I have been going since. Sorry it took so long to make corrections.Old Review:I dont understand how this place can open up at 12pm. It doesnt make sense. Theres been times when I needed something but had to wait hours for the store to open or go to a corner store and settle for what they had. The hours do not make sense especially since theres no competitors near.Maybe thats why they dont care, because they know customers dont have options close by. Im going to find somewhere else to go that is walking distance. That opens at an earlier and logical time.

Fine Fair supermarket is very close to my home so I often stop there after work to pick up a few things. On more than one occasion Ive purchased expired items which they mix in with non expired items. This has happened to me on several occasions and I will no longer shop there!

Fairly price products knowledgeable staff members need more bilingual staff that speak English just as fluent as spanish fresh packaged meat and produces and they have a Van if you need a ride with your groceries

Horrible experience manager is rude had my receipt to return some expired yogurt she would not let me return or exchange the expired dairy. None of employees speak English well. Please check the dates on the food before purchasing. They will not assist you at all! Horrible customer service experience!!!!! Filed a BBB complaint and they never responded in regards to my claim BEWARE!!!!

The fresh produce was not very fresh. The green bananas were very bruised and scarred with a very small selection. The cucumbers were mostly soft, scratched and dented. The produce worker couldnt understand or acted like he didnt understand what I was asking and walked away shrugging. There was only 2 registers open with a 3rd only opening as customers complained.

Great service, but too expensive. Everything is $1.50 to $2 more than lets say; Walmart. The managers and security are awesome though, and the cashiers are beautiful and nice.

Most food selections are unhealthy garbage. Definitely not a big produce section. Is mess like this that keeps people in low income areas with high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes.

The employee(manager I believe) Maria was a hugggeeee help for me I need 3 cases of meats and she accommodated me veryyyyy well by having it ready (via mobile) until I got there..and to the butcher who was an excellent help to me also..perfect cut on my oxtails..and beef flanken ribs..meats looks really fresh...thank you Maria again and team at food fair fresh market..see you in October..

Should you crave for authentic Spanish/Hispanic food, definitely place to check out. Pruces of veggies used commonly in Comida Hispana cannot be beat!. Meats and poultry are arguably had better days. All in all a convenient go-to place if you run short of something and its almost dinnertime.

The cashiers at food fair are always nice but the managers are not nice at all, with one exception the woman manager the short lady she is very nice i have had more than one encounter with her.I hope i made my self clear that the guy manager are the ones that are not nice.

Be careful! Newarks sole Fine Fare is not like any of New Yorks or Philadelphias Fine Fares. Everyone is not welcome. The selection of foods and other products are mostly the same, but some of the workers here in Newark are curt and/or unprofessional. For example, one of the workers - a male that works the produce aisle - casually picked his nose on the job while leaning against the produce. Another example, a male bagger insulted me by using anti-gay language including calling me the Spanish language gay slur Ma--cón. I was standing in the check out line, and I clearly didnt hear the male baggers instructions. I had one bud of my headphones in, but I put together what he said when I realized he was talking to me. I contacted Retail Grocers Group, Inc. Fine Fares brand owner. Most of the employees seem okay, but they have some workers that clearly dont recognize their role as representatives of Fine Fare and the legal implications of that role.Update: I decided to use Amazon Fresh to order my grocery items going forward. I hope the service is better than Fine Fare.Update(2 YEARS LATER!): I now use Amazon Fresh for my grocery needs and I use Food Fair (used to be Fine Fare - literally still the same store) for convenience items, rarely and only. I get in and I get out. Food Fair still has far too many obvious problems in my opinion (read my review and some others for details). Also, the response from the Food Fair representative almost 2 years later - prompting this update from me - has no impact or consequence to my opinion of the reality of the day-to-day operations of the store.

This place is ok to buy certain things. I would never buy there fruits, meats, or products i know dont look right like there breads, eggs, and frozen foods. They are more expensive than shoprite and the place looks dirty and unsanitary where the fruits are. Plus the only ile that looks clean is the one with bleach and laundry items.

I go here when I don’t feel like traveling to the supermarket. It’s usually ok, But I won’t buy beef from here anymore. Bought some ground beef and everyone got sick.
