Got dragged here by a friend while on vacation and absolutely loved my time! Felt like I was digging for treasure through shelf after shelf of games - brand new, out of print, and everything in between. If you are a board game collector or hobbyist, you owe it to yourself to visit this place at least once. I cant recommend it enough!

Really cool hobby shop. Tons of board games, table top RP books, and card games. Went to find some casual mtg matches but there wasnt any going on at the time. Their space for gaming is event based and really doesnt have people outside of the weekly events. The guys in the shop offered to let me and my friend play in the space if we wanted to though, so that was nice of them. Be ready to look through shelf after shelf of all kinds of games and gaming related materials!

They have so many board games the photos dont do it justice. It was neat seeing many games you dont see often. They also have a used game section. If youre on the fence Id absolutely recommend its definitely worth the detour.

Days of Knights is a Newark landmark! They sell board games and collectible card games, Table top role-playing games and minis and paints and a lot more. The gentlemen that run the store are nice and knowledgeable and willing to talk need if its not too busy.. There is a lot to look through, take your time there are real treasures in this store.

This breaks my heart guys it really does I used to come here all the time an get cards out the duel terminal my cousin used to have an agreement with him selling clay figures such as dragons paladins so forth. The shop owner was cool respectful and honest he used to be the only place I went to for cards and games all my friends went here and for years it was wonderful but just the other day I came in my childhood store and got talked to like I was this mans wife by his staff WHAT HAPPENED never again old friend.

This place is one of a kind. Definitely pricey, but their selection is fantastic. All kinds of fandoms represented.

I love just browsing around the shop, and always find something to take home. Since I live a little far south to do this on a daily basis, when I saw that they had something I needed to complete my collection, I ordered it online. This is not my type of store, but my son absolutely loves it. Many hard to find figurines and games that support his interest in Dungeons and Dragons, board games and miniature figurine painting.

Didnt have the Heroclix set that we were looking for but they have a fabulous selection of strategy board gaming.

My family loves this game shop. Such a fun place on Main Street to explore because they offer such a variety! From simple card games like Uno to fancy chess boards and more. We like collecting the many versions of Fluxx. Be sure to check out the table with employee favorites, they dont disappoint. Definitely one of my favorite local businesses. 👍

When I first found the store I was taken back the second I walked inside and entered a world of table top games. I saw boardgames I never seen or heard before in my life or even at conventions. The management is super friendly and great at helping games that match your playing style.If you are looking for a unique table top gaming store this is the place to shop from cards, figurines for any game including painting kits, and boardgames. The shop also has wall for people looking for people to join their gaming groups.

They have most everything and if they dont they can probably get it. A Claszic games store that I have patronized since the mid eighties.

Not a bad price for yugioh card sleeves. Just be warned that they only cary new sets as of Feb 21. You might be lucky to find old school packs. The 5DS packs are treated like vintage (which is funny).Yugioh is my thing but you wont have an issue finding pokemon, magic, and DnD for internet-like prices.

Great service and tabletop game gear! I went in to buy some paint for D&D minis and they have a great selection of minis and paint. Guys behind the counter were also super nice.

The staff is very helpful and great for a chat on any of the items available.For all you Dice-aholics, there is a great selection to choose from. Many varieties and materials exist for purchase.

The staff was knowledgeable and friendly and they had a great selection of board games, Magic the Gathering, Pokemon, and Warhammer.

Got told even though im from DE and purchased items here many times over the years that I couldnt pre order the new card set coming out because they had to look out for their customers. Uh, okay. If youre not some long standing customer they dont value your money the same.

This great little game store in the downtown area of Newark is jam packed with so much gaming stuff, you would have to spend hours looking at it all. They have a thriving gaming community, and game nights of various sorts almost every night of the week.Unfortunately, there is one thing that prevents them from getting 5 stars from me. The store is so full of great stuff that if you are handicapped, you will have a difficult time getting around in here. I wish their location was about 1/3rd larger in square footage.

Great store Everytime I visit I end up spending way more money then I intended to. They have a vast selection of old advanced dungeons and dragons modules supplements and box sets which is a dream come true for a nerd like me. This place is great. I live in Colorado and ordered from them. My order was incorrect but they promptly fixed the issue and told me that I could keep the miss shipped item. The gentle men on the phone was nice and curtious. If I lived in Delaware this place would be my gaming home.

Local game shop. Great if you need something right away, fun to browse the store. Crowded shelves, soso service, game room is always a bit dirty and unwelcoming.

I attended a prerelease for a magic the gathering event. The place was full of life. The staff is friendly and patiently try to help new players. The atmosphere is really good and I will be going again. The Magic game day events are suitable for all ages. There was a range of people and everyone does a great job making sure everyone is welcome no matter experience level.

What a wonderful store filled with more board games that you can ever imagine. It doesnt only have board games, but fans of fantasy games like Magic can find an assortment of additions for their play here. They have figurines, comics, role playing books, paints, journals. So many options. I guarantee that if you on you will find something you like. They have games from Rick and Morty board game to Mancala to the Harry Potter board game. They host after hour events as well, like board game nights and magic tournaments. Definitely check this place out! Very friendly people!

I have been coming here since I started playing games in highschool, many years ago. I have been around for 2 move of locations. I bring my teenage sons with me and they will probably be going there as long as they are open. Great staff. Great customers. Great selection of rpg games. If you want something vintage, they have it. If you want the newest game out, they have it. If you missed a Kickstarter and want the game, they have it. They also have a wide selection of minis and other nerdy collectables. Days of Knights is living gaming history. This is a must see if you are into role-playing games.

Incredible selection: tons of rare and out-of-print titles among the shelves. A bit disorganized, but that just makes the search more fun. The workers are all very friendly and helpful as well.

Literally just got off the phone with the guy at the store asking him about a new Pokémon said they came out. He told me that they had a few things and that they were at the retail price. He told me to go online and pay for them on the website and I could pick them up tomorrow. I go on their website with him on the phone and noticed that they are charging $10 over retail for something that literally releases tomorrow. I told them that the prices were wrong and his response was if you don’t want to pay that I can’t help you. Now mind you just prior he told me he was selling things at retail. Very shady business

This game shop has a little bit of everything. D&D, board games, Pathfinder, fantasy novels, Warhammer, minis, and excellent gifts at a variety of price points. We have purchased a variety of board games and D&D supplies here. Its slightly more expensive than Amazon, but 100% worth it to support such a great local business!On top of the great inventory, DoKs also serves as a community hub for games for families, kids, and adults with all sorts of game nights and events.The guys who run the shop are very knowledgeable and helpful.

Amazing store. I haven’t seen a selection like this anywhere on the East Coast. The range and depth of their stock far surpasses anyone else. The store is laid out well, clear signs, lots of clearance items available, plus a really friendly staff. If you play board games, you have to go here.

This is the first time I have ever ordered from here but I can honestly say it was the best experience. I ordered online and called them to see how long it usually takes and the guy who answered was very nice and explained the situation, but my package ended up coming a day early! I was so excited! I will definitely be giving them my business from now on.. I am not even going to my local shop anymore... well done mates!

If you need gaming supplies stop in here. They have all the card games you could want from Cards against Humanity to multiple Tarot decks. There is also a huge selection of board games, not Monopoly! You will find Go, chess and backgammon and many others! Great staff and other cool items too.

Friendly and helpful workers, but stock of board games feels almost out of date, with board game manufacturers using Kickstarter as a way to aquire funding id expect to see some of Kickstarters top board games in selection but there wasnt any to be found. Great for modeling and paint supplies though

Staff here can be ever so slightly standoffish at times, but their store is amazing. Huge range of products, from fun novelties to board games for the family to all the materials and reference material you need to start a tabletop RPG. They also host game nights, but Ive never gone for that, so look it up or call if youre interested. I love going in here for a specific thing (last time, a large mat with a grid that you can use dry/erase markers on for a D&D campaign) and then finding other things to help with games or just neat stuff that catches my eye (last time a new set of dice/dice bag).

I wound up buying something from them online. They answered my question of if they ship cross-country, and even did a couple followups on the purchase. Mainly because the copy of the game wasnt new, as advertised, and they still wanted to make sure if I was willing to buy a used copy, or have a refund on it and the shipping cost.They even wrote down the refund cost on the receipt that came with the package. Good customer service for even just email contacting!

The management here is very rude, sometimes to customers, sometimes to workers. I have had several bad experiences here including getting told that an advertised sale with signs still up was supposed to have been removed last week in an attempt to refuse the discount--then all but yelling at the person who rang up the discount in the first place in front of me; talking down to me on the phone and hanging up on me after answering clarification questions; ignoring customers who are looking for information, and more. I go out of my way to take my business elsewhere even if it is less convenient. The only reason I give it 2 stars instead of 1 is that they do have a great selection of interesting games, RPGs and other odds and ends, and one of their workers is very nice.

Went for the first time the other day. It was nerdvana in the best possible way. I bought several items but wound up needing to return something the next day. The store owner was kind enough to make an exception to the standard policy for me, I really appreciated the consideration and will be returning with my teens to explore the store and find some cool stuff we simply can’t live without!

I go here often, its a classic gaming store. The selection is absolutely amazing, a lot of out of print stuff, tends to have the newest product, and a great selection of hobby supplies (All if not most Citadel and Vallejo paints).

Growing up on the several hour trip to and from grandmas in Wilmington the highlight of the trip was always stopping by here. One memory I have from years ago is buying a pack of pokemon cards and the owner gave me a pack from the wrong set. I had opened it before realizing and once he realized the mistake he without hesitating gave me a pack from the right set, for free. A small gesture but its stuck with me all these years. I dont come by as much as I used to since I moved to Florida, but when Im in town Ill definitely stop by.

My wife and I shop here, exclusively, for board games. We have found the stores inventory to be complete yet varied nicely, reasonably priced throughout and clean. The owner and employees are exceptionally knowledgeable, very personable and loyal to their clientele. Frankly, it is a fun place to shop for gaming needs.

Great place to find some new and old games to play with a helpful and knowledgeable staff. They have a having area in the back, but you need to walk around the side to get to it, where there is some parking for their place. They even have a closet full of games you can test out and play before you buy with a group of friends if you ask them and boxes of basic lands on hand for all you MTG players.

Days of knights always has cool and unique things here. Staff are quite knowledgeable about their items. Also if anyone is interested in finding a pathfinder or a d&d group they have a wall where people post groups looking for members.

Ive seen this shop but never stopped inside before. There was more inside than I expected, with dice sets, tons of games of all types, books etc. I would go again, and appreciate having somewhere local to visit with these options available.

On a whim, I asked the owner for the Starship Troopers board game from 1976. Rather than get my hopes up, he said no. But, just as I was walking out, he came out of the back with the box, which he had confirmed had ALL its bits, and offered me a very good price.Thanks for that effort! The box went back to Taiwan with me. This store is run by people who clearly know their games and love gaming. A pleasure just to walk through, and very easy to find something you want, or been looking for since 1976 . . .

I could (and prob will next time I am in town) spend EASILY over an hour there... Top shelf!!!

Was very surprised with this store, its location makes parking very inconvenient but once youre inside you will spend hours looking through their store.The people behind the counter, usually 2 or 3 have been incredibly helpful on all my visits.The selection is insane, they even have a used and hugely discounted section, Ive gone over at least 12 times now sometimes even twice in 2 days.If youre curious about boardgames or MTG or DnD this is a good place to start, you can ask them any questions and they will roam their stores with you showing you all that is available.I recommend this store to anyone just looking to make a great family night a fun night!

Went to look for a specific game. The clerk was very helpful in finding the game in their massive inventory. He provided additional information about similar games I may be interested in. I will be back for sure.

Theyre very fun, lots of different board games and table tops, new and old. In the back room theyve got a bunch of older classic games usually at a discount. Theyre stocked full of game manuals as well, and a spot where locals can post if theyre looking to dm or join a game which is really cool.Aside from that, they have an abundance of miniature materials, faerie figurines, and incense.A bonus is that ive never felt uncomfortable by any of the workers here.

Definitely my go-to place for board games, card games, and any sort of nerdy adventure. They have a small room in the back for events and tournaments and Tuesday night Board Game Nights are always fun to go out and meet the community and have some fun.

The cornerstone of Fantasy and Adventure is all within this store! This store here is a great host of games, fantasy decor and a wealth of information for new and returning players of the world of table tops, cards and games! I remember my teenage years of checking out the D&D books, statues, swords and dice. Its right here where my love of D&D and Fantasy really grew into the love & appreciation I now have for the arts and crafting of stories & game playing!

They have been in the same location for a while. The place has a great smell. The items are unique. Its a little over priced but worth the price to get the experience of going to the shop and touching the items.
