Went for the food at the Hot food bar.They have really good food. First time shopping at a Whole Foods.Outside of the long line, it was a nice experience overall.

This is one of my favourite places in Newark. Its packed will a wide variety of fresh fruits and veggies. Also the lunch menu is really delicious. I could get lost in this place. It has everything you need! And I cannot forget to mention the cheese cakes and carrots cakes 😋 😍 Amazing!

First of, the young woman a part of the security staff met me at the front doors with a wholesome smile! Very welcoming, ensuring me I did not need a mask to shop. The team in the seafood department very courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. Check out queue moved with pace where I was met by a friendly and accommodating cashier. Im sure I will enjoy the quality of the food! Thanks Whole Foods for being awesome.

The reasons I went to Whole Foods for, completely exceeded my expectations!! I had to return a few items to Amazon and to buy myself some steaks and fruit 🍓🍑 and 😲😲 oh my goodness!! I was very happy with the service and the food, the staff that took my returns, treated me like royalty, the young lady was so pleasant and helpful and the steak and fruit was absolutely fresh and delicious!! Im certainly going to continue shopping there as this was my first time shopping at Whole Foods!!

Clean store, great customer service. An employee was off her shift (coat on and everything) and getting ready to leave when she saw me searching for something by the hot food section and she asked me if I needed some help. I didnt want to bother her, because I know what its like to be ready and on the way out the door. But she asked me if I needed help. She was so nice, I explained what I was looking for and she walked with me and showed me where the food was, that I was looking for. I thought that was really nice of her. I thanked her. This employee demonstrates what true customer service is like and I appreciate that so much. Even though she was busy (leaving) she still asked and wanted to make sure I was good. Thanks Whole Foods for making my shopping experience great!

You wait for an eternity in a common line, until you arrive in front of a security guard carrying a gun who points to which cash register youre allowed to approach. Very unpleasant experience, more like a prison than a high end store.

Went on a Friday evening at 5pm. Many shelves are empty. Many items missing, and the company that owns the parking garage is horrible!! Constant malfunctions and issues every time I come here. They need better system for parking Garage.

Very organized and a very neat store. The leads always act professional especially Mr Damacoy the leader of the produce. I had a bit of misunderstanding on 7/24/2021 with one of the staff in the seafoods Dept. I was amazed the way Mr Damacoy head of the produce department settled the situation in a very professional way. People like him makes me to keep coming to this store on broad street Newark, NJ despite having a Whole Foods store 15 minutes to where I live. Please guys keep up the good work and Mr Damacoy God bless you and Almighty God will keep on increasing your Knowledge, Understanding and Wisdom in Jesus Christ name.

Such an amazing environment, every aisle smells incredible, their organic coffee was a blast. Customer service is very friendly, but still what got surprised was how it smells delicious in there, it is indeed Whole Foods.

My experience this trip to whole foods was nice. I was asked by 2 employees if I needed help, which i really appreciate. I had another employee try to help me find something and the cashier was very sweet as well. Also I was excited that they had mostly everything I needed/wanted!

Large variety and selection. Prices are not as high on some items. Very clean and spacious. Meats to poultry selections are excellent and fresh. 🤗🥰

I consider Wholefoods to be one of the best supermarkets. They know how to make their stores welcoming. If not for their prices that are above the average I would get all my groceries only from Wholefoods.

My interactions with employees in grocery and produce have been wonderful. Ryan, Omar, Cigar in seafood and Dom are so patient and extremely helpful!!!! Moreover, the manager in specialty is so kind. She is always willing to find items on my behalf.I wish the manager of the entire store was as gracious as the staff working on the floor. My experience and observation of this specific site manager has been negative on more than one occasion. She is rude and condescending. I try to avoid her at all cost. She is the only reason why I gave this store one star.

I am always thrilled when I go into any Whole foods!!!!!! I was excited to see when they first opened in Newark. I took some classes and they had alot of samples teaching us how to eat differently with certain products. Before Covid Whole Foods was very vibrant. I love all the variety of freshness that is in this store and the different brands of products for your well being. I did buy soap. I couldnt buy all I wanted as it was not my intention to shop that day but did buy some items and unfortunately did not take pics. If I have a chance Ill take pics of the soaps I got

With so many bad reviews pointing out their rude staff members youd think theyd get rid of them and get some respectful employees so their customers can have a good experience, especially a lot of the female cashiers and meal prep females in the back. I absolutely hate going in this store.

Typically shopping experience. Stay safe wear your mask its really bad out here. Double up on your mask when around a lot of people. Those cloth mask arent protecting you.

Great store. Everyone is always very courteous and willing to help. Even when I call to find out if they have an item in stock the person will take the time to go find out out and let me know as opposed to other stores where no one answers or your kept on hold until you hang up in frustration. Last week I went in and after an hour there shopping to my hearts content I realized I forgot my wallet at home. The cashier was very understanding and allowed me to wait with my merchandise while my husband came to the store to pay /rescue me. I can always find great quality produce and merchandise that I wont find any where else. I have to shout out the people in the meat and seafood departments. Those guys are very friendly, knowledgeable about their items and very proactive in their customer service. I highly recommend Whole Foods Newark.

Whole Foods has gone to the dogs since Amazon took over. Workers seem more overworked and unhappy. They also not only never know where anything is they frequently dont even know what it is. Herbs and mushrooms are often wilted and everyday it feels more like just a regular supermarket but with inflated prices. Factoring in the pandemic btw. Its that Jeff Bezos has become quite skilled at oppression and thats whats manifesting.

Its not overcrowded like the ones in Manhattan. Its also easy to find parking spots. Good quality like other Whole Foods.

Shop there almost daily....fabulous addition to downtown Newark. Not as fancy as those in the burbs but excellent.

Very nice, well maintained space. I know people will complain about the gentrification of the neighborhood, but this helps a lot of people looking to eat healthier that do not have many options. Sure the price point is higher, but lets be real in any of the markets the price on fresh, organic, clean products the cost is higher. It just gives people more options. My only really complaint is I wish it was bigger so they could carry more items.

I went to buy some frozen scallops and when I picked them up, I realized some were partially thawed and soft! I spoke to the seafood manager and store manager; both of them tried to explain it away that it was normal or just how the freezer was set. But frozen food is supposed to STAY frozen until thawed for cooking. It can be potentially dangerous if it just refreezes!I had already lost confidence in their fresh meat department (meat never seemed fresh when I went to cook it; strange colors and consistency), and now I cannot trust their frozen, uncooked foods either. I will just use this store to buy produce.
