This is such an amazing cafe! I love to come here with my friends and just hang out. The workers are amazing and the food is absolutely delicious! Also, I love that they support local artists. If you were thinking of coming here, I highly recommend!
First time here & it was amazing, Ill definitely be back. I had the cappuccino with almond milk - sooo good! We ordered both versions of their quiche (mushroom & spinach and ham & cheese, pictured), honestly cant say which was better, I would have eaten both to myself 😅🤣 we went with my fiances family & neither of us had any idea what to expect, 10/10 would definitely recommend. Oh & their bathrooms were nice & clean too!
The food here is amazing! My boyfriend said the Korean Chicken burger was the best chicken burger he has ever had and my salmon salad was a delicious mix of flavors. Everything was very fresh and the kitchen went above and beyond to accommodate my food allergies. We will definitely be eating here again!
I go here all the time. Great place! Fantastic coffee and wonderful food. I always get the Americano and a bagel when I want to start my weekend off right.
An unbelievable establishment welcoming creatives and hungry folks alike!Service was stellar: from the owner taking our order, to the star chef visiting our table. Food was very high quality, extremely tasty, and fresh as fresh can be. Best cheese boat by far (from BK to Manhattan!) Must return to taste more items (and to BYOB.)The decor and renovations are warm, inviting, and really bring an updated sense of style and appearance to Ferry Street and Newark as a whole.Overall, a 5-star experience, for sure! This place is great for lunch with Mom, dinner with friends, snacks on my way out of town, coffee in the morning, or even a nice place to park myself at for a bit of work from home.
This is a great place for a coffee on a Saturday afternoon. After having a big lunch at home it was time for a break away from the surrounds of my home office. The owner David was friendly and loaded with conversation about his winding round to open up after a year of complicated steps in COVID times. He persevered and the end product is a space that is bright and cheery. I will have to go back to try the food. I want to try the Georgian chicken.
I have never encountered a place like this in Newark before. I’ve lived here my entire life and this is the only aesthetically pleasing breakfast and brunch spot I’ve found, and genuinely with the best food. Its beautiful, but cozy, it makes me feel at home. The lunch/dinner menu is also to die for. So much love goes into the food, the staff is unbelievably kind and helpful. AND THE COFFEE. Once you go Sihana you never back to literally anywhere else.
I was around the area and was looking for a light lunch, I passed by And decide to stop & have a bite,, I got the vegan wrap, it was ok it could’ve been better the hummus was a bit too overwhelming, I’m vegetarian but there weren’t many options for me, I wish theyre were a bit more options for us that don’t eat meat! for dessert we got the Nutella pizza, the dough was so soft & delicious it reminded me somewhat of a crossiant! It was quite delicious, I’d like to see more vegetarian/vegan options though! (For the lunch/dinner menu!)
We have been here twice... 1st time coffee was good and so was the wrap/sandwich we got but our server either was hard of hearing or kept forgetting what we asked for... We asked for sides of fries they came late and not with the meal... We asked for ice with our water.. The water came with no ice. We asked for a straw.. That took forever.. Like really? Now we went today 10/19 and our server was even worse! I ordered the same thing but my friend got the piri piri chicken. Again both our coffees were good. My wrap fine.. But her chicken was DRY. But she ate it anyways.. I had asked for a side a fries.. Didnt come. It wasnt till my friend decided she wanted fries as well that the server (this time a woman) remembered that I even ordered mine.. Then they finally came. I again asked for 2 waters with ice... She came over with just water.. I had to ask for ice then she came back with the correct thing. Like come on.. These are simple things.. Then at the end when we asked to do separate checks she went to her coworker and rolled her eyes at us. When I wanted to make sure it was split correctly she gave us the rudest attitude. Horrible service from this woman the whole time and then she adds rude, disrespectful behavior to PAYING customers. Unbelievable! Its unfortunate that for the most part the food/coffee is good but we or anyone we tell will not be coming here again.
This is a sweet little cafe with really good food. The service and team are great! There is a young guy with curly brown hair who engages with every customer, and makes breakfast delightful. Their coffee is strong, and cappuccinos are beautiful. A nice way to start your morning in Newark!
This place is amazing! Everything we tried tastes amazing. I hope they don’t make the mistake of other Newark joints that eventually get greedy and either shrink the servings and/or quality of items.
First let me say the atmosphere is amazing and clean. The staff is friendly as well, BUT the wait was long.me and my husband ordered pancakes bacon and eggs… and an avocado toast.. ok it took like 20 minutes for the food to come, then it’s chocolate chip pancakes 🤔.. they said that’s the house pancakes (but it’s not regular pancakes it’s more like chocolate chip cake).. the avocado toast was OKAY. .we tried to get the flat bread ( which looked really good) instead of the pancakes but they said they ran out it( it was only 12 pm.).So long story short we left out still hungry and 30 dollars less…
Hands down one of my favorite healthy fresh food spots in Newark. Located walking distance from Penn Station, they have delicious salads, sandwiches, chicken and fries. They also serve breakfast so thats next on my list. If you love good food, definitely try.
The foods look better on paper than in reality. The taste was awful and the only tasty thing we had was d orange juice and coffee.Pancake, omelets and cake were bland.. I wont come here again
It was such a cozy place to just study and share a meal with a loved one. Ordered the chai latte THREE times!!! So warm and sweet, but surprisingly very light. Korean fried chicken sandwich was a super hit, and I really enjoyed the chicken caesar salad -- you can swap the dressing for almond dressing!
Great atmosphere! Delicious food and great customer service. We enjoyed Sunday brunch. The food presentation was stunning. Would definitely come back for both the food and experience.
First and foremost the prices for the food here are decidedly reasonable - it lies 3 blocks form Newark Penn Station. Its a mirror image of the cafes I frequented when heading in to Manhattan - (only I dont have to trek to Manhattan to experience quality food and quality service. Definite plus) .From the cafes that I have been to when travelling in Vermont and Maine it rates a 70% match and I would have to agree. It is truly a gem in sea of stones and I would recommend that you come here at least once just to experience a café done correctly.
I had a drip coffee and chocolate banana muffin. The drip was one of the better ones Ive had recently and the muffin was delicious. Add in the atmosphere inside and tables with umbrellas outside and this is the spot!
Had to edit my review after making a complaint and had the manager himself fix the issue. They have very good quality food and truly care about their customer’s expectations. Highly recommend!

Ate here with some girlfriends. The food was delicious, I recommend their house pizza and their baked apple for dessert. Also loved their chai tea. My friends loved their avocado toast and their iced vanilla lattes. The owner served us and was attentive and funny. Great, great place. Go here!!!! You will not be disappointed!

Just left the place, was in a bit of a rush because Im on construction work hours but pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste. Coffee is great not overly sweet (asked for vanilla syrup and thought it didnt have any but it does and its very subtle so I approve).Something that really turned me off but Im still going to eat it cause Im really hungry is that I ordered an spinach feta toast and I did not like how the cook mixed the spinach and feta with her hands (I dont care if she had gloves on because she had been touching everything else with those gloves and then mixed the spinach and feta with the same gloves) use a salad mixer, spoon, anything else to mix but your hands(gloves or not).I used to working in a restaurant and I just dont understand why people think that putting gloves on is okay if youre not constantly changing them out. Might as well just use your bare hands.Anywho, good stuff thank you.
The food in this place is unlike anywhere else. It has so much taste and its so different! I never tasted shrimp like theirs before, it had a very strong taste as if you just fished it out of the sea. Their burger is soooooo good too. You wont find anything like this place. It is certainly a gem

The quality of the ingredients and the passion for food is apparent no matter what you order on the menu! I hosted my wifes birthday party here & the team at Sihana did not disappoint. An absolute must try for coffee lovers & foodies alike!
We had brunch - eggs Benedict and the pancakes. Done in a different style than what I am used to but very yummy.The owner served us and is a lovely guy. We will come back.
The food here is great, really exceptional. The service can be a little iffy, but they are always polite and as long as youre not in a rush, you should be good.

Horrible experience. I waited 30 mins for a simple bacon, egg & cheese just for it to come out completely wrong. The bacon was raw, the eggs were undercooked, there was no cheese and even the toast tasted weird. The place looked nice inside but definitely not worth the wait 👎🏻

Ordered a coffee with non dairy/oat milk, placed the order 5 hours in advance, which was supposed to be surprise coffee for a friend who has dairy allergy. They do not care about order specification at all, they have sense of charging extra for oat milk but have no responsibility of making sure that they follow customer instructions. Worst experience ever!! Just made the morning worse!!

Excellent experience all around. We went on the first warm-ish night of the year and they were one of the few Ferry St restaurants with outdoor seating. We ordered the Khachapuri, Korean chicken sandwich, and seafood pasta. All were excellent food at a very reasonable price. The presentation was beautiful as well. I should also note that I had a cappuccino a month or so ago which was very high-quality.The service was top-notch, and you can tell this place really cares about succeeding and is proud of its food and product it puts out.
Like the atmosphere, it is a great place to study and use computer with such a bright environment in the morning.
This cafe caught my wife and I by complete surprise. The chef was trained by a Michelin rated chef and wow... everything is fresh and cooked with passion. The beet salad = amazing, the penne w/ mushroom sauce = amazing, the spinach and cheese bread bowl = amazing, and finally the French donuts.... I’ve never had anything like that. We thought the sweetness level would be overwhelming and wow.... amazing amazing...., oh and the coffee quality = amazing. This will be a new spot for my wife and I in ironbound... Definitely was not expected. The staff is definitely amazing and firth dining with information. Great job, I wish you continued luck with this diamond in the rough.

This is totally an Artists Space.. more than a stop, more than a visit, its an EXPERIENCE! The vibe is so peaceful.. (& with a bit of wishful thinking, they will expand their menu a tad bit) Food that Feeds the Artists Needs!

Omg !!!! This newly opened cafe is my go to spot . very beautiful garden, friendly staff, amazing coffee and most importantly quality. unlike other places every visit here is better . I have already been here 3 times and every experience is better and better .If you want to try something very unique and special then u gotta try their cheese bread with mozzarella and feta, with a egg yolk ! - DELICIOUS—! they also have a different versions of it and also so good !califlower with tomato sauce - OMG soo soo good !anyways I would recommend this place to everyone - they are doing a tremendous job !

It was indeed a great food by great people! This cafeteria is truly the best when it comes to food and beverage service. I really enjoy eating here because the foods are tasty and they also have a cold beverage that complements it. The price is affordable, and everything else in this place is in order. Indeed, a nice place to dine! Very worth it! Young Gent David was on point, customer service top notch.
Superb! QualityTo begin, the environment the setting, the whole esthetic of the place is impeccable. Very modern/hip yet cozy feel to it. Definitely a place you would want to sit for hours. The menu changes depending on the time of day, I personally don’t like that, but i understand its not a big deal. The food is presented beautifully as if it were prepared by a french chef, and the taste is pretty good, the best burger i’ve ever eaten. They actually season the burger meat. Their Chai latte beats starbucks hands down! And their vegan chocolate cake is addictive. Portions are big as well! And their fries are awesome! Overall great experience. The service is good but they should hire another server as it can get busy, and all the times I’ve went there was just one server, she could get quite confused at times which is understandable since shes serving alone. But guys go!! You’ll enjoy everything.

After experiencing a hiccup at the Sihana Cafe and then speaking with the owner about a remedy, I am satisfied that not only does the Sihana Cafe serve great food in an eclectic atmosphere, but the ownership is attentive to his customers needs and fosters a welcoming environment that values all of his customers.

I wanted to give this welcome new addition to Newark a 5, but couldnt. The food was great. I had the pancetta, egg flatbread pizza, she had the goat cheese and beet salad. Both were fantastic, but the wait was too long for lunch. With a little bit of fine tuning and staff training, it will be a 5 very soon.

Great new coffee shop in the iron-bound section of Newark, indoor and outdoor seating is available and is well spaced. customer service is great, staff was courteous and attentive. I appreciate that they have a variety of plant/ nut based milk. The cortado and latte were well made and the food was fresh, hot and yummy

Found this wonderful little spot on a beautiful and windy sunday drive. Dog friendly (HUGE BONUS😁 for our puppers) The food was so fresh and absolutely delicious. Had my first ever cheese boat (Khachapuri) TO DIE FOR!!! And my hubby had the eggs benedicts. He is an official fan of their cappuccino!
Simply put: this place is the best. We stumbled upon it while in search for some coffee, and winded up falling in love with this one-of-a-kind food & coffee experience. Sihana’s menu is so unique & the food is displayed like art: both a treat to see and eat! Their brunch items & cappucinos are our personal favourites. The decor and ambience (and killer playlist of music) really tie together the whole experience.We loved Sihana so much, we decided to host my 30th birthday here & it was the best decision. David and Kreshnik were beyond helpful in all aspects of the party: planning things safely considering Covid-19, selecting unique food items to create our own personal dinner party menu, serving our guests with great hospitality, and making the best damn food & coffee we could have asked for!We love Sihana and we are positive you will too! Try it out, you won’t regret it!
We love this place. There are lots of fantastic places to eat in the Ironbound area. But, most are Brazilian or Pourtrugese. Its nice to have something new to chose from. Plus, they have the best coffee on Ferry st.
