This place is run by real humans. I ordered a toasted bagel that I wished was more toasted. I tried to politely ask to have it more toasted, but they had just dealt with a difficult customer and I got some frustration from them. They didnt blow up and triple toasted it for me. From now on Ill order triple toasted, because this is the best bagel in Newark. Thanks for your patience with me.

Quality bagels from this place! LOVE the Black Russian bagel. The everything bagels are always coated with plenty of toppings and my order is always correct. You can tell this place is good because at breakfast times especially in the weekend the place is PACKED! Better to order ahead of time and pick up so you don’t have to wait. My only grievance is they never toast the bagels enough for bagel sandwiches even when you ask for them extra toasted. With the heat from eggs or other toppings the bagel ends up not at all crispy and toasty so I end up having to re-toast it at home.

Only complaint I have was the taylor ham was scliced like lunch meat. I was hoping it was gonna be a thick cut like the taylor ham (pork roll) at the store. The steak egg and cheese is 🔥 though, way better than McDonalds steak egg and cheese!

The cheddar bagel was excellent, the building was immaculate. The staff is courteous efficient and quick. Would highly recommend anyone whos looking for breakfast on main Street just make the stop in

Service was quick and polite, and the bagels were definitely fresh. I did order mine toasted but the bagel I got wasnt toasted. They were busy though so maybe they didnt hear me fully. If the bagel was appropriately toasted it would be 5 stars. Cheaper, fresher, and more professional service than NDB.

Bagels are a 2/10 at best and service is a -10/10. They take 30 mins to make a bacon egg and cheese even when the store is empty. They are 0-3 on toasting my bagel. Im starting to think they dont know what toast means

Just an awesome fresh bagel. Pair it with a Little Goat coffee right around the corner and now you are on to something.

My first visit was great they did everything perfectly. I came back here today ordered over the phone this time and I thought everything was fine. Went off to work only to realize my order was wrong instead of turkey bacon they used pork, but I can’t eat pork. I hate to be difficult but I called them and they said they would exchange it for me. When I got here they were hesitant asking me “are you sure you told us turkey bacon?” Like I can’t eat pork so how would I ever make that mistake. They corrected it but I just didn’t appreciate the hesitation when it was a mistake on their part. The food is great though honestly! Actually an update they ended up putting more unwanted things on my food so that’s another star lost from me. Wow 2nd times a charm I don’t know if I’m going to try for a 3rd after this.

I didnt really like the food, mine was too oily and took them forever to serve. Inside of the restaurant was really hot and there was continuous sound coming from the kitchen.

This location does not compare to the pike Creek location or the one on route 4. At those places the are the best bagels around. Sadly, main St Newark does no live up to the others. My bagel was hard. And skimping on toppings for an everything bagel. I wont be back to this location.

Service was great, prices reasonable, solid local breakfast joint. Their bacons a bit too salty, Id steer clear of it.

As a tried and true admirer of flavor, this is the first time, I believe, Ive ever written a review where I had to complain about the food being far too salty! The everything bagel was super salty, and I typically dont think everything bagels from other places have enough salt, and then? The cheese danish? Too salty... If this is the typical recipe for the dough? Ill steer clear. If it isnt? Shame on you guys for serving it to customers..

There Jalapeno Bagels are not the best. But my god everything besides that has been fantastic. Even the Cold Brew is some of the best Ive had around the area. Ive Door Dashed from this place 10+ times.

We ordered food from here on a delivery service. The instructions were to contact us if item was unavailable. When our food arrived it was not what we ordered. I called the shop and the lady rudely interrupted me to say that they ran out of the ingredients we had wanted so the decided to just substitute other things (did you guys know that onions are apparently a good replacement for cucumbers?), the restaurant never even reached out to let us know they did not have what we wanted like instructed, they just made up something different to send us. After going back and forth with the lady a little bit she said that she would refund our order. I requested she send me confirmation of that to my email, which she agreed to and never did. I have given it 2 weeks (10 business days) to have time to process a refund and she up in my account, and it appears that she never actually refunded my order because it still has not shown up.

Easily the best quick breakfast in the area. Great value for money, and usually very quick. Seating is somewhat limited, so be prepared to take it to go.

I stopped in here for a quick bite portable breakfast. The place was clean, busy, and I thought a little dark. The service was fast and very friendly. They had a good selection. There is seating, but I found the whole place to feel a bit cramped, and like I said, a little dark. Maybe thats just hangover friendliness. It was also kind of loud in there. It is a college town after all.

Moved from NJ and on the lookout for good bagels. Tried them today and they get a thumbs up. Not perfect, but best Ive had so far down here. Try them out!

The bacon, egg, and cheese bagel is delicious but dont forget to try the egg omelet as well. Thia is a good place if you need something quick.

Its 3:32 PM, my first time at this shop, a sign on the door says close at 4 PM, I open the door and there is a man mopping the floor, he says closed so I start to walk away and a man walking towards me says next week 4 oclock. The store next door use to be a yogurt shot, they would do the same thing no open on time, one night I put money in the meter go to the door, and the guy inside says we closed early, there were still customers inside, I just put money in the meter, he said sorry they are out of business. I will never stop here again, remember if someone does not take care of there customers, they probably arent doing the right thing when your not watching.

I drove all the way to Newark just for them to be closed an hour early . How am I supposed to come to a business when they close whenever they feel like it. They are also racist towards beagles. I brought my beagle and someone asked if Id like him cut in half!! Poor Franklin was scared for the rest of the day. Again I came here and this is in the winter timeAnd they were closed an hour earlier then what there schedule says. This place is ridiculous
