If you know exactly what you want and you have cash then this is fine. But if you want to look around and choose a bottle of wine (what a crazy idea right?) you cannot do that. The entire place is safe guarded with strong plastic walls and locks. You walk in, and the entire store is blocked off from you, you can only see the bottles from a distance. I understand the safety issue, fine! Then he brought a bottle that I asked for and there’s no description on this wine bottle so I wanted to use an app I always use! He started having an attitude like it’s such a big problem I want to know what I’m going pay for and drink. Started yelling at me and we got into an argument.. then he said cash only! Which is not totally abnormal but after so many obstacles, cash only just seems like he doesn’t want people to buy anything :/I feel like I sound bougie but if I was, I would have turned around once I saw the place. It’s really gritty. Which can be great! But in this case, the place doesn’t make you feel safe, the owner is so mean, and can’t properly and calmly buy a bottle of anything (unless you know what you want AND have cash).A true nyc experience (not in a good way)!- Love Maria,Born and bred in south Brooklyn
