This store has a great selection of reasonably priced wine. I got some wonderful French blends here recently. The owner is knowledgeable and will recommend a nice bottle if you tell him what you’re looking for. I also like that the place is clean and well-organized. Always a pleasure shopping here!
Nice neighborhood shop with a focused selection. Well-lit, easy to browse, and fair prices.
I read the negative reviews before I came and decided to experience Rose Wines for myself. The store has an excellent selection of wines in the $12 - $20 range. The owner is quietly spoken, reserved, and polite, not your usual extroverted sales person. I like him.
Bad customer service and overpriced
Very unfriendly clerk, overpriced, look elsewhere for your alcohol needs
Good wine selection, good prices and beautiful music accompanies your visit .
Fast service.
Despite to all bad comments, liquor wise it has an OK selection. More options comparing to other liquor stores below $100. No conversation, but I wasnt looking for one. Id recommend.
Great customer servicesuperclean store!Good selection ......
Similar to other customers, he wouldnt allow me to use vivino to check wine reviews and prices. And refused to give an answer as to why. Makes you think about whether or not their prices are fair. If only there was a convenient app to use which would give me the answer to that question...
Best store. Great selection
Awesome secret with great fine wines.
If you want to be entirely insulted this is the wineshop for you. I have been to Rose Wines several times before, and stopped there on the way home today from the neighborhood dog park. I am having family over and thought one more bottle of red wine was necessary. First of all, I picked up a bottle of red that didnt have which type of wine it was written on the bottle, so i asked the clerk and he shrugged and said all i know is that its red.I picked one of the $8.99 bottles from the middle of the store and proceeded to check out. The man asked for my ID which was fine, I am 24 and that isnt unusual, I am originally from Boston, so my license is from Massachusetts. At this point he had my ID and my debit card in his hand, and then asked for another form of ID. All I had was an expired ID from when I lived in Spain, 3 years ago. He told me he was going to take me the police because he believed my ID to be fake. He said he had never seen a Massachusetts ID like mine.... Well if thats the case then he is not fit to work at a liquor store, because this is the current and official Massachusetts ID. I understand the right to question an ID, but there was absolutely nothing wrong with mine. I gave him 2 separate forms of proof that it was in fact an authentic ID--- and he clearly had no idea what he was doing. I will NEVER go back there again. If you want a fabulous wine shop in the neighborhood go to Best Cellars on 80th and Broadway... friendly, know their products, and dont insult their customers.
Simply rude! No hello, no Good morning! Asked for a selection of Mediterranean wine and was very arrogant. I just left. Not recommended at all!!!
Good place for a quick stop on the way home, convenient to the west side 14th St. stations.
Really poor service, basically chased me out of the store for asking questions. Lots of other friendly wine shops in the neighborhood to patron.
Nips/Mini Liquor Shots $5+! Otherwise, nice spot.
6:30 PM - wanted one bottle of wine but refused service - told I was obviously intoxicated and although I was 100% sober but do not walk steady having had a BRAIN TUMOR he wanted proof & then sold bottles of liquor to guys who discussed while paying just downing them before going in
Very helpful staff and quite a good range of world wines at a decent price!
Very helpful with California wines such as Shafer.
Guy who sells wine here did not allow me to use Vivino application in this shop. Looks like he is not interested in independent check of his staff.
Best wine in this area
Rude and unhelpful stuff
