One of my favorite liquor stores in NYC.

One of the most unprofessional place. Not a good place to shop if your African American or native American. Store manager failed to help me and was very nasty saying racial things under his breath or after he gets off the phone with a costumer. I wouldnt recommend anyone to support this rasist store.

What an amazing experience - I was looking for something really special and K&D totally came through for me. If you are looking for quality wine and knowledgeable staff - this is the place to go. Oh - and if you need to send a gift, look no further, they will take care of everything!

I used to go to K&D years ago, when they were located at the southwest corner of 96th and Madison. The new store is smaller, but the selection was excellent and the staff was knowledgeable. They directed us to a reasonably priced prosecco that was perfect for my fathers 93rd birthday.

I have been a customer of K & D for at least a decade, and have found the people there to be very resourceful at helping me choose high quality products to match my budget and entertainment needs.On many occasions, they have helped me locate wines at lower prices than those I may have chosenon my own, and I have never been disappointed with their selections.I highly recommend them and I can easily understand how they have been named one of the 50 Best Wine Stores in America.

I’ve been a K & D customer for almost a decade. There hasn’t been one bad experience, Customer service is incredible, their knowledge and help is great. They’re very reasonable and always understanding of anything and everything. I completely intend on returning to K & D for as long as I can. :)

Nice and easy to like store. everything is nicely located to make easy the seek of you fave wine. Also they help you a lot with the selection if you have doubts. The prices are very Upper east Side.

Greatest store I have ever been to. I have been a customer for a few years now, and the staff always is very respectful, and helps me fine whatever I need, while still fitting my budget. I always recommend this store to all of my friends. On top of all of this, it is decorated really nicely

A perfect neighborhood wine shop. Every thing I bring home from this shop is good. The staff knows their stuff and the tastings are great.

I have ordered from K & D Wines & Spirits for gifts to be delivered in the New York City area. The staff has been helpful and courteous, and have even delivered quickly for free. I will use them again anytime I need to surprise or congratulate my loved ones with a bottle of champagne.

A visit to K&D Wines is like traveling back to another era when Manhattan vendors stopped at nothing to keep customers satisfied. No matter what hard-to-find wine or spirit Im looking for, K&Ds friendly, knowledgeable staff finds a way to get it to me in a timely manner. Shop there once and youll keep coming back for the great service and selection -- K&Ds new store on Madison Ave. near E. 94th St. is magnificent.

This place has everything you need from a quality wine store. Their selection is excellent, their prices are competitive, and the staff have not only the expert knowledge to talk about any wine that they carry, but the ability to help you figure out what wine to take with you. They won’t try to sell you on whatever they’re trying to clear inventory for, nor will they push whatever promoters are trying to push that week. They’ll listen to you and your preferences and make sure you’re happy with your purchase.

Very displeased with K&Ds customer service. I ordered over $200- of wine on December 12th, with an order confirmation immediately sent to my e-mail. After two weeks of not receiving the wine or being contacted at all, I had to proactively go back to K&D and ask where my wine was.I was shortly told that the wine I ordered was not carried, and that they made an oversight by not contacting me, blaming it on high order volume.I will certainly not use K&D Wines for any of my future wine and liquor purchases. I was hoping to provide some wine to oenophile colleagues of mine for Christmas, and K&D flatly let me down, with extremely poor customer service to boot.

I wish I could give K&D Wines a good rating. They have a very wide selection of wines and obviously maintain a large stock in their warehouse, but their customer service is poor. Ive had bad experiences on several occasions with them. In some cases, the problems related to a failure to follow delivery instructions. In other cases, the problems related to the condition of the wines they delivered. Some of the wines I received from them were spoiled, perhaps cooked either in transit from the winery or in storage at K&Ds warehouse (more than one person tasted them and agreed that they were spoiled), and when I tried to return them for credit (which their policy guarantees), they claimed the wines were fine and I had to go back and forth with them several times to get the refund I was entitled to. Now Im told I cant even return a wine thats obviously corked (the cork itself smells tainted). If you care about the quality of the wines you drink, and you dont want to go through the hassle of dealing with people who dont understand the concept of customer service, do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.

Horrible!!! Ordered 5 bottles of Amarone and 7 bottles of Chardonnay on line. When the order shows up, they shipped Ripasso instead of Amarone. I wrote them an email and they did not call. When I called them, they told me that the price was a mistake on their web site and they would not honor it! So did you think I wasnt going to notice that you shipped me a different wine? Im sending back the entire order and will not use them again. Beware!

I feel sorry for this neighborhood that has to deal with these prices and 8:30 closing times. I thought NYC was all about convenience, this store is about shoving it to you.
