Love the ambiance of the place! Servs the best wines, foods, and other drinks. If youre a real wine lover this is the best place for you. The ambiance is also very nice and a bit classy. This is a very big wine shop with a lot of various wines to chose from. Strongly recommend this wine shop to everyone.
His wine shop is the perfect place for your alcohol needs.
Excellent service. With Covid, its increasingly hard to shop local and still get exactly what you want. Living far out in Brooklyn without a proper wine emporium, its nice to be able to order specific things from Flatiron and have it delivered the next day. 5 Stars!
Absolutely love the selections available at Flatiron Wines. Whether you want to splurge or are on a tighter budget, there is great wine for you here. And if you have no idea what you’re looking for, the staff is skilled at making recommendations that you’ll enjoy. I travel from Brooklyn just to shop here & it’s worth the trip every time.
We spent a great night here with so much wine and so much beer to eat. The host is awesome and highly knowledgeable, and feedback are welcomed, and we have learned so much knowledge here. They also have great meat and cheeses. We loved it so much that, on our last day, we took a special trip back!
Great wine selection at this Flatiron location
It is our yearly routine to have our wedding anniversary date here. Because the place was very romantic and they offer an array of wines. They may not the cheapest, but very reasonable, though. They gave us a complimentary two glasses of wine every time we were here. This is our favorite place in the city!
Great selection with knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Not tasty like others.
Great selection of high quality wines. Knowledgeable staff. Worth the trip even from other neighborhoods
Not tasty like others.
Ordered was then told what I bought online was out of stock. Cancelled order. Not again
This is a solid wine shop with very well chosen inventory. Most significant regions are represented and youll find excellent producers that are not commonly found. The staff is usually busy on their computers (on-line sales?), but immediately assist when asked. Theyve always had good answers to my questions and show excellent knowledge of their stock. They provide good guidance toward interesting selections as well. This is a great place to find a new favorite.
Excellent service.
I value the frequent, unique wine offerings from Flatiron and enjoy the informative prose which accompany these offers. I also appreciate the prompt replies of the wine team to my emails, and speedy (and free local) shipping to NY/NJ. These Flatiron wines often help me to create fantastic dinners for our wine group. Most recently, wines from Corsica and Valle DAosta which I could only find at Flatiron were the cornerstone for a dinners including one at my house last evening. And their tastings in NYC are fun, educational, and most worthwhile! Highly Recommended!
Great and helpful bunch. Good selection of French wines
Among the best wine shops in New York City. They consistently provide access to high quality wines from interesting producers that are not available from the majority of other shops. Their excellent wine education program is an extension of that approach. I have been exposed thoughtfully to new regions and producers. They also have an excellent network for locating mature vintages from producers and private collectors. Outstanding.
Don’t accept returns from web.
Will come again this weekend.
Staff was extremely helpful, couldnt ask for a better experience!
My absolutely favorite wine store in NYC. It has a great selection including many wines and spirits you wont find anywhere else. The staff is super knowledgeable and helpful. Get on their e-mailing list and be prepared for even more exceptional wines. With a glass of decent wine going for $12-$18 in many places it doesnt unreasonable to budget $15-$20 for a bottle. Flatiron wines has an impressive selection in this category and of course many more in the higher price ranges.
Fabulous selection of wine and craft liquor. Dont miss the value tables of red and white for carefully curated finds under $20! Unusual finds in natural wine can be sourced here also. Lots of tempting bottles in back area for special occasions.
Excellent selection of natural and organic wines. Great customer service and quick local delivery as I live in Manhattan.
I made a call to have champagne delivered to my son and JR was so helpful and informative about champagnes. He spent time with me and described the different grapes, etc. Knowledgeable guy!! Promised to make it look festive for the delivery. I trust he will.
This is my go-to spot in the neighborhood. Smart staff, cool selection of fun wines. Despite the small size of the place I never feel limited for choice. Not like some of the big stores where they have a ton of redundancy but a narrow range of styles
People were nice but they just didn’t know wine well. I spent 200$ for a recommended nice red and it was not different from 25$ pinot noir I picked myself. My husband wanted summer fruity white and the white wine we got recommended could not have been dryer. Will never return.
Incredible selection across the globe, with price points under $10 to top collectors wines. Excellent focus on Champagnes, Burgundies, Bordeaux, German, Austrian, and Italian wines.
I was looking for a decent wine shop near Union Square where my hotel was. These guys were really cool cats and listened to what I was looking for. They do have a small tasting room but only for select wines. Prices were decent and Im hoping the Syrah they picked for me will be delicious.
I walked in with just a request for a red at a certain price and the staff were very helpful in recommending something. My previous rating of two stars was a mistake
Fantastic wine store, great team and wines. Amazing selection from France and Italy, lacks a bit on the US side, but I guess thats what their SF location is for. John and team are great - get on their mailing list, its a treat!
A well-curated wine store with very knowledgeable staff.
My favorite wine store in the city. They have a great selection of artisinal wines and the staff are some of the most knowledgeable wine people in the whole city. They also happen to be friendly and approachable.
Could not recommend Flatiron Wines more! The whole service and staff worked with me to find a wine that wasnt in my state. They were responsive and nothing but top notch service - thank you all!
Excellent selection & very knowledgeable staff. Will search for specific wines for you & special order. This shop was recommended by our sommelier at Le Bernardin, and for good reason.
Carefully curated selection combined with knowledgeable, helpful staff make this place a winner. Its my go-to in the neighborhood for wine. Extensive liquor selection is great for cocktail nights too.
Excellent service and selection. Asking the staff for recommendations is a great way to experience new wine.
Pleasant staff, very reasonable prices for Manhattan.
The people here were really kind, calm, and ready to help. Very clean, very organized. And the wine we got was exactly what we wanted.
A lovely collection of good wines and some spirits!Reasonably priced and they have regular wine tasting events.Ive found my regular wine store in NYC at last!
Great place! Had the scotch I’ve been seeking for a while at a great place, as well as many different types of champagnes.
Small store but great selection of spirits. Had some questions about Mezcal and they treated us to an impromptu tasting. Service was so good didnt mind paying the premium prices.
Cute shop, got intelligent wine advice which led to a nice dinner wine, and the prices were very good. It would be fun to go back there for a tasting event. Very close to Madison Square Park and Natural Gourmet.
JR is great! I wanted a specific italian wine and he got it for me. Knowledgeable and very gracious! Thanks, JR. Have not visited store yet, but will!
A nice boutique wine shop with a great variety of wines. They may be a dollar or two more than the big stores, but theyre sure to have a more interesting selection.
Stopped in on our way to Gramercy Tavern and my daughter pointed to a wine, Pursued by Bear, we enjoyed at Scampi recently. In the back of the shop, bottles of Pursued by Bear, Pursued by Baby Bear and Blushing Bear were lined up as Kyle MacLaclan, the actor and winemaker, was there for a tasting. Very cool, humble guy who shared stories about his winemaking, answered questions, posed for pictures and signed bottles. Great wines from the Columbia Valley Washington terroir reminiscent of Quilceda Creek products....Columbia Valley Cab, Palengat, Gaziltin and CVR.....yet priced considerably less than Quilceda. I have several Bears in my collection.
I was able to find the single varietal Limnio I was looking for.
One of the best wine stores you can find.Whether you are just wanting to grab something special or if you want something to take to a BYO - the staff have you covered.
Great selection of wines. Here I can find Italian wines that are hard to find even in Italy. Good job guys
Always great and knowledgeable staff - wide selection priced competitively, especially when you sign up for the newsletter
Abundance of good quality drinks. Store stuff is really helpful to choose the right one
One of the best stores in NYC period. Great selection and service.
Adorable place and friendly staff
Great liquor store, knowledgeable. I will return
Great natural wine selection in the heart of Midtown
Great place to go for wines and spirits
One of my favorite wine spots in New York. Good variety, professional sellers and the most important- I get there what I am really looking for. Worth coming!
One of the best wine shops in the city and they have a great email mailing list.
They dont have Hennessy. That seems weird to me hmmmmmmmmm
Nice little wine spot. Im going back there
I love how they have carefully curated wines at most price points. Strength in artisanal / traditionalist Italian and French. Good selection of grower Chanpagne and new California producers like Arnot-Roberts, Jolie-Laide, Ant Hill. Staff are knowledgeable yet casual and can give great recommendation.
Great selection of wine. The staff never disappoints with their picks.
Good place for wines. It has a tasting room. It has many wines from Europe.
Poor.
Hands down the most knowledgable staff in the city. Come here for truly special wines.
Great selection of wines, friendly and helpful staff
Difficult to have anything but praise for Flatiron. Each wine is carefully selected to represent the best characteristics of their region. Want some nerdy varient? Plenty of old vines, sur lie, low sulfite here.Value wines table offers great choices under $15. If you sign up for their mailing list, youll receive worthwhile special buys. For example, they regularly purchase the whole flight of wines on Asimovs NYT tasting list so you can order and try them yourself.
Terrible service and experience with these people. I was told I could purchase a 3 liter shipping box from a female employee on Saturday June 1st and the next day when I arrived at the store the staff had no box to purchase.
Great selection of rare and hard to find wines!
Great selection- have something for everyone. Everyday wines to collectibles
Great selection of bourbons at reasonable prices (for NYC) - they also have rare, local stuff like Pinhook bourbon which Im a huge fan of.
Excellent service!
Excellent selection that leans hipster European
Alcohol. Literally, thats all there is to say.
Awesome wine selection
Male cashier called me cheap under his breath as I walked out, will never buy from here again.
Bunch of liars that will tell you that bottle your looking for is in stock or will be in stock just to get you to come in so you will hopefully buy another one of their over priced liqours
Great selection.
Great selection.
Good range
Great selection
Overpriced, though on par for the area
Top!!
Awesome tastings
Expensive
A+
Nice selection of Italian wines with honest prices. Friendly staff.
Rich variety of wines
👍👍👍👍👍
