I had a wonderful experience at New York Ayurveda. I did a lot of research on the best wellness centers for Abhyanga-Shirodhara and New York Ayurveda continuously came up- I decided to check them out and I am so happy I did! Aisha was attentive, intuitive, and present. From the beginning of my time with her to the end, she was committed to making sure I had the best experience. The woman at the front desk was equally knowledgeable and spent a good amount of time guiding me through what she felt was best for me. I left feeling calm, at peace, and grateful for treatment. I will be going back for sure!
I received an exceptional Sheila-Abhyanga (hot stone massage) yesterday. Rajesh was seriously intuitive physically, and provided me with preventive take aways. I’d love to make this at least a quarterly if not a monthly routine. I was a bit Covid anxious arriving. Every precaution was taken; only myself and the masseur in the entire office. All anxieties were put to rest and I’m benefitting from a very calming experience. Highly recommended.
Hi Namaste...I have gone through your web site, seems to be amazing. Can u please share me details from which institute you did your course.Just wanted to confirm the institute name?since how many years your practicing?
Hena is just amazing would recommend to any of my friends. Literally the only good Ayurveda center in NYC
I had an absolutely fabulous experience at New York Ayurveda and would recommend it to anyone. I got a deep tissue massage and the practitioner was fantastic and very friendly. Its a small and intimate location which I liked a lot.
I was suffering from High Blood Pressure, tried almost every thing but no relief, until I visited New York Ayurveda. After consult no more medicines just diet change brought my Blood Pressure normal.I feel light and energetic, Thank you for making a big positive difference to my health.
I had a wonderful experience here. They are professional, knowledgeable, intuitive, and highly skilled. An Ayurvedic sanctuary in NYC - so grateful! Highly recommended.
Wow, what a thoroughly relaxing experience! I loved the warm oil abyhanga session. I just wish there was a shower or wet towels to clean up after the treatment.
I had an excellent facial. Calming music, fresh ingredients, and my skin glowed.Highly recommended!
This place was in a whole in the wall place, but the wax was the quickest and more thorough I have ever had. I definitely recommend getting a deal on a discounted beauty site for the first trip and they discount every trip after that for you.
Kavita is great! Its in a strange-ish office building with other medical offices, but I love the services. Honey Cucumber facial and head massage are my favorites!
I was suffering from diabetic nerve pain for several years and my doctors couldnt find a way to address my pains. I was prescribed several strong pain killers but im afraid of getting addicted to them. The Center helped me address my pains through alternative medicine. They spent more time listening to my concerns and I did not feel rushed in my time there. I strongly recommend Panchakarma for anyone seeking a different way to heal themselves.
I was very pleased with the quick service. I had a blocked shoulder and knew that a previous Ayurveda massage helped me. I called them in the morning and I could be seen around noon that same day. And the therapist knew what she was doing.
It has been such a wonderful journey discovering Ayurveda for my chronic digestive disorder .Have been suffering for nearly 3 years before I found the very skilled practitioner and healer Sangita . Cannot thank enough for this place in an otherwise pharmaceuticals driven city.
This is the WORST experience Ive ever had at a spa. They have horrible customer service. I purchased 2 Lifebooker waxes and first they cancelled my appointment without notifying me, I showed up and didnt receive service. The second time I was running late and called to reschedule for a later time the same day and they said theyd call me back and never did. I called several times that day, they said theyd call me back but I never was able to reschedule. I called several times after to reschedule and they repeated said theyd call me back and didnt. Finally my last communication with them is that they will not grant my Lifebooker purchase because I was a no show. Total rip off.
I been here couple of times I found a very Authontic place, l love to go there again.
Hello, this is shubham pandey from India........specialist in ayurvedic therapies n various types of massages......wana start my therapies in new york......
A really, really great massage. Ayurvedic massage is the very best and this spa offers excellent personnel, clean surroundings and excellent treatment. I am not sure why more spas do not offer Ayurvedic Massage as the mainstay of their business.I feel energized, alive and so centered.New York Ayurvedic knows how to treat their clients and I WILL be returning for more!
I got a muscular injury from a massage there, painful and cost me physical therapy to heal. Do yourself a favor; don’t go there and avoid a long term bad experience.
TERRIBLE IS THE LEAST !!!This is not Ayurveda at all.we paid $105 for nothing. The young woman that gives the massage was below, below an Ayurvedic massage practitioner. or even assistant. To start she said, take your top off and she stayed there watching me getting undressed.Zero privacy. I had pants on... she said leave them on or whatever makes comfortable . in a very rude manner. I was wondering what kind of massage is this with your pants on.She started massaging or I should say rubbing my back so hard with very little oil. I thought to myself maybe this is a different approach... I politely said it hurts .she said OMG just talk. than she quickly said Face up now.(no magic words in this place ) without even getting to the bottom of my body. She hurt me so bad that I still feel sore.my ears were terrible red. I had to stop it . Than the older woman came rushing in and said, well you have to have the massage if you want Shirodhara .. I understood her point .but she sounded very imperative and really agitated. Zero effort to make the client relax. She sat down and try to give me a head massage, it was like fixing the bad job from the other one. but just as bad. Then she contradicted herself by saying maybe we should just put the oil directly without the massage. At this point I told her you must stop.i really do not feel too well. I am in pain and very stress out .it was like a bad dream ..or a bad joke. She quickly responded but I will charge you full price of $105.My friend was waiting outside for his turn. He looked at me and noticed that my ears and back were so red.so we cancelled his as well. the older woman came back out and said, sorry but we have to charge both of you full price. or if you want you can continue with the Shirodhara directly . I was totally in shock . how could I go back in to that little room. It was so suffocating and hot. and the massage bed was with a plastic paper that stuck to your body. The place is a dump the entrance of the building is nice, but once you get to the room its a very small office and massage room together. noisy and a tiny massage room. Enough said . There are better places in the city. This is the worst I have seen. She is using the word Ayurveda but its just a frame . what they really do its a back rub hardcore massage with scented indian oils.and little candles to sell you the whole Ayurveda picture. I was there for less than 20 minutes it was plenty .one star is huge !!! for the water they offered to us at the entrance.I couldnt get over it next day.I woke up with my back soared and I thought the right thing to do is to call back again to let them know and be reimbursed.Idid call and spoke with the owner the lady that charged us . I explained that my back was very soared from the aggressive massage I had the day before at her center. She immediately knew who I was .She asked me to please stop by to be reimbursed. she apologize for the therapist bad massage treatment, and agreed with me that the young lady was not herself that day maybe she had a fight with her husband etc. and I asked her my ears were burning was that part of the massage ?.. her answer was honest and responded NO!absolutely she was not supposed to touch your ears, and massage should have been gentle. My back and ears paid off for an angeredAyurveda therapist. Funny but not really. The woman looked very nervous and apologetical . she offered a free massage .However I declined. I thanked her. and give her 10% for the therapist time. She did not take it.What puzzles me is that she knew they were wrong, and never called back checking on me to see how I was feeling, knowing I have left in pain. until I did.A lesson learned I guess .
They will call you the day of to push your appointment back by 4 hours then call you thirty minutes prior to that rescheduled appointment and try to cancel. ZERO professionalism.
I have been to New York Ayurveda several times, and every time the treatment and the practitioner were terrific. Ive had a facial, massage, garshana (silk glove exfoliation), shirodara, nasya (sinus treatment) and karna purana (ear treatment). Each treatment felt wonderful, and the massages were some of the best Ive ever had.One warning: if you get a massage or shirodara, your hair will get oily! Great for the hair, but not so great if you plan to go somewhere else afterwards.
This Ayurvedic Center is the real thing. I was introduced by a colleague and have never looked back, and have given gift certificateds to several others. It is authenitc, and the staff is accomodating, down toearth, compassionate and very knowlwdgeable. If I could give a six out of five for this center, I would! Dont hesitiate, treat yourself or a loved one today.
Adorable relaxing stop with great services!
Most unprofessional staff. Never visit them.
