This store has a wide variety of items which also includes vegan and gluten free choices. They have a coffee grinding section which makes that area very aromatic. Fresh veggies and fruits and deli section. They also have a sushi section.prices are reasonable for that area of Manhattan. Go visit!
Fairway is great, they combination of name brands as well as name you may not know. Great selection of produce. Good selection of seafood and meats. Can be very crowded at times, so choose your timing accordingly.
Pricey market in the middle of the city. Enough variety and ok quality.Staff could be friendlier.
If I could give you a negative 5 stars I would. Every time is an issue with sale prices. Today the sign said Cozy Shack 6 pack OR any variety Cozy Shack $2.99. Why does the sign have or if it is just the 6 pack. Poor customer service. I am done with this store.
I love their assortment of products, fresh food, and pastries are to die for! On top of that, for a Manhattan type of market, it is reasonably priced! Highly recommended.
I like shopping here because it can be a peaceful experience. BUT I HATE the customer service. DONT TOUCH MY GROCERIES while they are in my basket without asking RUDE WOMAN while I was at self check out. YOU DONT NEED the basket that second DONT STAND THAT CLOSE to me.
Fairway Market located on 6th Avenue and W. 25th Street in the heart of Chelsea. .It caters to one of the richest neighborhoods in New York City, and cater it dose with an abundance of everything. The shelves are full stocked to the point of overkillIt occupies the entire block, and one could get lost inside this Fairway Market.Enjoy
It has a limited selection of certain types of items, but an amazing selection of others. The star of the show here is the cheese section. Its quite large with some really interesting options that youd otherwise have to go to a cheese monger to find. That being said, Ive rarely had to make a second stop to get something that they didnt have, and the layout in most sections is nice and open so you dont have to worry about bumping into others. And unlike the Trader Joes a few blocks away, its not a total zoo.
I didnt find any of the items i went in the store for. I saw dozens of different types of cooking oils except Palm oil. Also did not have Scotch Bonet peppers.. i could not get any assistance from store associates. Everyone told me to go in different directions to find items. No one actually took the time to help me look for the items. Butcher in meat dept. did not know what a beef shank cut was. Store was confusing to navigate thru.
I used to work here doing instacart and never had any problem finding any food items or related products I needed. They have an excellent produce and cheese section as well. The staff is nice, professional and very helpful. This supermarket has an old school appeal that feels good.
Good supermarket, large for Manhattan with a reasonably good selection. Convoluted layout, but that typically occurs in NYC due to rent costs. Prices are OK Service is friendly. They tend to have very good, well priced baked goods and pastries. Great, well-priced cheese selection. Good place to stock up for a dinner party.
There is a wonderful honest employee at the Chelsea Fairway who found my wallet, which I had left at the self check-out, kept it safe for over a half hour, and presented it to me when I returned distraught. Christine is a model employee!!! I hope your manager does something really nice for you, Christine...
When I visit NYC, I always book a hotel near this market. Make sure your room has a microwave and mini-fridge because Fairway is a great spot for getting prepared foods, snacks and beer.
Waited 20 minutes for help in the coffee department, tried calling the store, they said their phone system was not working. Went up to the front of the store to complain. Was told there was no one to help me and the coffee department was self serve. Sure doesnt look like a self serve department. Not happy. Really really good coffee beans though.
Staff EXTREMELY helpful! Diverse selection of everything. Clean store.
The staff were very attentive to my needs. This form of service I considered exceptional as my selections are unique and the location relatively enormous.
Much better than this location EVER used to be, and; even though, they ALMOST completely rely on self-checkout, now, after a long day & near closing, everyone was friendly, cheery & helpful. Thanks yall!!
I am verry glad I stumbled onto this place. I found alot of things I havent seen in while and Im looking forward to.Pros_ wide selection Curtious staffCons* prices are a little high. No food stamps accepted. There are ate alot of us who cant buy food with out that and it really does get old always eating cheaper foods. Ill say one thing its dang near impossible to eat healthy on that little amount of money.*** But yes 4 stars for 5t5
THIS SUPER MARKET IS DECENT AS LONG AS PRICE IS NOT A PROBLEM, THEY HAVE AN ASSORTMENT OF TEA, COFFEE, NON DAIRY MILK WHICH IS MY FAVORITE PLUS THEY SELL VITAMINS, AND OTHER HEALTHY STUFF SO STOP IN AND SEE FOR YOUR SELF...
They have the best olives selection in the entire world 🌎 😁
Fairway Market Brand Chicken Pot Pies, Turkey Pot Pies, and Sheppards Pies are delicious! And the large size Chicken Pot Pie is still a great value, worthy of frequent, regular purchase! Unfortunately, the management did not appreciate or value the few special, high quality, delicious food products, such as all the regular sized Fairway brand pot pies at a low price of $4.49 - $5.49 for a 16 oz pot pie, way more delicious than any other pot pies sold anywhere, and just a few other special values, that kept the original store packed with customers all day long, with so many people in every aisle, you could barely get through the ailes, and such long lines at the many cash registers. Then, they opened a chain of many stores, nearly doubling the prices on those few special high quality food products with low prices, that were the REASON so many people came to shop VERY frequently, and bought many other items along with those wonderful, special deals. The management REMOVED the few special delicious regular low priced DEALS that kept the original Fairway Market so continually packed with customers, by doubling the prices on those deals, thereby REMOVING the reason the original store was always packed with customers, and soon, even the original Fairway was almost empty all the time, and the customers who traveled to the original store, did not have incentive to visit the new stores closer to them for the same reason, and without those few special high quality/low priced delicious food products to attract new legions of regular customers all over, ALL the Fairways always had very few customers in the ailes, after that. I realize, that because they were not intelligent enough to realize those few products that originally caused them great success, that they also did not benefit the long time deli employee from their original Fairway store who developed those products, whom I found a long time employee at the original store, who knew who that deli employee was who developed the delicious pot pie and cheddar quiche pie products for them, who developed the pot pie products for them, which originally had no preservatives in them, and that long time employee, said the also very long time deli employee who developed them had recently retired, just before all the stores were purchased by new owners. Since the management was not intelligent enough to appreciate that was the key to their original success, I know they were not intelligent enough to appreciate and promote or benefit their long time deli employee who came up with the idea and developed those products for them as a huge wonderful draw of customers who bought many other items 2. I met the attractive, young, spoiled hotshot, I think, grandson of the owner, just graduated from college, who came to work there before I moved to LA for a while. He probably took over management and ran it into the ground, not understanding the reason for their great success. He seemed quite nice. I wish I had of been there to explain to him, that if you not only dont appreciate the thing that keeps your store packed with customers and very successful, but essentially REMOVE that reason of packed customers by doubling its price, soon: hardly any customers! DUH!!! Nobody else explained to him, now they dont have the benefit of those various high quality, delicious pot pies, and broccoli cheddar quiche pies, WITH ZERO PRESERVATIVES, for that low low price, that still exist but at double the price, except for the large, 28oz chicken pot pie for $12.99, but with health harming preservatives added, WHEN you can find one. I wonder if people show the top management this review, and they return and decently display, that Huge draw, (deleting the inorganic, poisonous chemical preservatives they didnt originally have) that kept their ailes packed with customers, it could turn things around for Fairway Market, and customers could regain the wonderful products at the great price, that caused everyone to have to get to a Fairway Market several times a week to make sure they can have such value continually!
Great neighborhood market! Wide variety.
Its not as good as 86th St store but its a good addition/alternative to Whole Foods (24th & 7th) & Trader Joes (21st & 6th).
Bought flowers much cheaper than the flower store across! The same arrangement and pieces of roses for 1/3 d price. Nice one, Fairmart!
Indifferent employees high food prices and long auto check out times.
Great service. Pleasant experience
Give it 5 stars for still being there and still having a good selection of olive oil.
In the past 3 years I used to go there almost every day. The food is fresh and of great quality. However, I went there yesterday and their customer assistance was very low and poor. The self check out is a nightmare with practically no support. Their staff is limited and looked very stressed out. Do not expect service with a smile. I wont be going back any time soon.
Do yourself a favor and buy their tiramisu. Legit the best I have ever had
Whatever you need you will find enough Fairway.
Go there for vinegar and coffee. Miss the one in red hook
The store was well stocked however the employees that I asked questions really didnt have too much knowledge of where things were and its a pretty nice market
I have always loved shopping at Fairway Market. This one in Chelsea its on a smaller scale compared to the others but its good nonetheless. It carries a huge variety of cheeses. The meat section is small.
Easy and quiet store. Heaps of room and variety. Staff are super hard to find though, so if you need help finding stuff, this might not be the place for you. Great deli and a good seafood collection though.
FAIRWAY MARKET CHELSEA WE LOVE YOU. THANK YOU FOR THE SERVICING OF THE COMMUNITY! HAPPY NEW YEAR!From: Jimmy and Waleena
Clean and good choices of food.
Dont even bother used to be an amazing store, but no more!
Good general store but has excellent range of British food.
Always a great shopping experience when the staff can answer questions intelligently. Case in point was buying lox today. Dont remember the name of the person who helped me, but he explained the various salt levels in each of the kinds of lox, and as I needed something with as little as possible (hard to do with lox, I know!) he was able to further assist me by slicing the Gaspé paper thin (and I do mean paper thin).By the way, the knives they use to cut the fish are swapped out every week, so they are taken off-site to be cleaned and honed to that razor sharpness that makes slicing a breeze.
I came here on Sunday, around 2:30 PM. There was one particular employee who was ushering people in the main checkout line and was NOT wearing a mask! He was yelling at people to go into the express line (so talking very loudly/emphatically) but continuously pulled down his face mask! He was also not following social distancing procedures and got pretty close to us to talk to us about going into the express lane. I observed him for 5 minutes and he would pull on his mask for at most 5 seconds before either pulling down his mask completely to talk or having it under his nose.@fairway, can you PLEASE enforce the mask mandate better????
Mediocre selection, stuff members vary from kind (fish department) to borderline unpleasant (cash register).
I use to enjoy coming here. Ive been shopping here every week for a year now with no issues. I gave five stars in the past, thats until two months ago I noticed, they hired a young security guy in the morning that now follows me around and stares at me.
Older building so not as neatly laid out as the 30 St / 2 Available location. Also limited variety of teas. Checkout is nearly all self-check now but workers are very attentive and immediately come help with any problems.
Way way overpriced. Please were not in Saudi Arabia
A very big supermarket in the city of Manhattan. Although it looks not so big from outside, it is in fact really spacious place.Sushi are made on the spot.On Wednesday, 2+1 promotion is being offered.I was surprised to see various kinds of cheese in this supermarket.
Various items, clean grocery store. A little pricey.
Medium sized yet compact grocery store featuring hot, ready made food, a bakery, and interesting fresh produce. The tea selection is large, and I enjoyed checking out the specialty produce that they had, including lemonade lemons and giant brussel sprouts. There is also a coffee bean bar with a variety of beans and a grinder thats free to use. They also carry a line of zero calorie coffee creamers in a large variety of flavors as well as a lot of refrigerated salad dressings
Great supermarket! Good quality food and supplies.
Open late never too crowded
It Was Wonderful. Its and there customer service is the best Fast, Satisfy, Covid-19 Free.
Clean and neat appearance. The prices are good for NY standards.
Love. Sushi, tea, cheese, orange juice, dairy, premiums, etc. Love. Not nearest to me. Also, very sensible tea 🍵 in bulk bags. Not even Lipton! Great cookies, hard to find things.
Fairway is a nice supermarket, its pricey
Nice group of merchants who were selling something for everyone. Food venders have excellent wares.... loved the tacos!
They carry a variety of foods.very clean and great cashiers
Was looking for a certain cooking oil, called here to see if they had it.They are so friendly, and patient, took the time to look for it and even held it until I can come buy and pick it up.
Great produce at great prices and never a line like TJs!
Clean, great offerings, good staff.
Clean and orderly with lots of products.
It was good. I hadnt been there in a while and now they have self check machines
Top of the list
Love this store
Good selection food good prices good location
Usually has what I need at a good price
This place is amazing. Has everything you can possibly need for a healthy way living love this place and always will. This is more than a market. Recomended 100 %.
Everything you need in a supermarket. But I had to wait between 5 and 10 minutes until the one and only cash register / checkout was finished with another customer. I was there late morning on a Friday.
Everything is fresh and the service is welcoming. I do recommend this market as a place to do food shopping.
Fairway is a decent market The one thing that is a big problem is they got these self-checkout stations and they never work properly and it takes forever to get an assistant to come help you check out your stuff I have told the managers about it they say that theyre checking into it but its been two months and nothings happened So if youre a person who has Samsung pay or Apple pay you might have a very difficult time checking out your groceries.
Spacious, clean market. Big variety of ethnic foods, spices and unusual produce. Good ready to eat options. Lots of room to socially distance from other shoppers.
Jessica in customer service was super helpful, professional and kind. This was the 4th Fairway I called looking for a certain product (white vinegar) and she was the only one kind enough to look for it and put it away on hold for me. She even went to pick up another one for me when i decided to add one. Thank. you Jessica!!!
The employees are great attire is nice and clean
Good eats
I love Fairway. Great products at good prices. Good at giving samples. Awesome coffees. Love their lobster rolls. I enjoy shopping there and stopping to eat lunch. I wish there was one near Asbury Park 😭
Love this place. They have a huge selection of goods. They also almost always have free samples out (cheeses, breads, protein bars, etc). The deli selection is awesome. Nadim is very helpful and nice and always does a good job slicing my orders. He is also very knowledgeable about the deli foods and can offer valuable suggestions. Tommy the security guard is also very nice and helpful. This is a really cool place and I enjoy shopping here. Like other viewers said, it has gotten more expensive, which is unfortunate.
PRICEY with P. But lots of goodies.
Waited over 8 min for help at fish counter.
Great products and good services.
The store is well-stocked, and checkout is efficient. However, it was difficult to get assistance at first. After wandering through the store for about 10-15 minutes, and after being asked 3 times if we needed help and not getting any, we were finally helped by a very friendly and knowledgeable employee. Bottom line : if you are disabled, ask for Frank. He is very nice and helpful.
A very good neighborhood market that carries a favorite coffee, Ethiopia Yirgacheffe.
One of the best markets in the neighborhood! Excellent selection of cheese, bread and coffee. They also have really good sales. Fresh fruits and vegetables are always perfect. A great place to get basics as well as those hard to find gourmet items. Youll never want to shop at an ordinary supermarket again.
This would be pure 5 starts if it werent so overpriced, but then, I expected that.
Great variety of food, excellent choices, friendly and helpful staff.
Good 👍
Clean, efficient. Looking for a quick lunch on the go. We got poke bowls and they were good. Bathroom is accessible to the public, but it wasnt the cleanest one Ive ever used.
