Great place to find international magazines, especially those focused in fashion and entertainment. Not the largest selection in the city, but its pretty big and its very well organized.

This is a cool place to find unique magazines. The owner was warm and friendly. I was looking for high end fashion magazines with runway looks. I found one I loved, albeit very pricy, but I purchased it. I believe tourists would like this place. It has a real NY vibe to it. I will definitely return.

I have several subscriptions with Magazine Cafe. If there is ever an “issue,” it is taken care of promptly. I’m very happy with this company.

I have no convenient foreign magazine store where I live. The major bookstore chain does not carry 99.9% of the foreign magazines which Magazine Cafe does. Therefore, I need to order them online and pay for shipping...I sure appreciate the ease and convenience of ordering from Magazine Cafe. However, I have to deduct one star from my rating because of three reasons:On many occasions, I have to send an email to ask if my orders were already mailed. Ive waited almost one week yet my orders status says processing. Only when I send an email to them then they say its mailed and give me the tracking number. So I do wish they can mail customers orders upon receiving them in their system because they will charge customers credit cards immediately, however, which is not right.Oftentimes, their website will carry the incorrect magazine information. By this I mean if theres a magazine pictured, and you click to order, what you actually will see on the order page is a completely different magazine! It wastes ones time.

Magazine Cafe has exceptional selection and customer service. My first purchase was nearly 11 (!) years ago, on March 21, 2010. All of my purchases have been online. Shipping is fast and relatively inexpensive. Customer service replies to emails in a timely manner. No request is too big or too small. Highly recommend!

This truly an amazing place. They go WAY above and beyond for you. I needed a peticular magazine from KOREA, they not only got the magazines they sent it directly to the person I need it to go to. Hands down the BEST. I WILL ALWAYS USE THEM. THEY ALWAYS RESPOND TO YOUR EMAILS AS WELL. YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED.

Totally disappointed.. its been awhile since I was last at the Magazine Cafe. They used to have a most Excellent selection of magazines from all over the World. Every topic & subject that you could have named they covered it. Now its just a glorified cafe with some magazines that basically cover Art, Design, basic Sports and Crafts. Gone are the magazines that you could only find there... And the sad thing is they dont even realize how much business its cost them. Oh well, I guess they can make money on what they stock. So sorry that I wont be buying from them anymore...

I ordered an issue of The Economist since the Economists own app was not very good at single issue orders (that I could see). There was a small-mix up with the order, when I reported it by email on a weekend to Magazine Cafe, they fixed my download and replied courteously on Sunday. I have not tried their other e-resold magazine titles.

I had 2 international magazine subscriptions through these guys. Both had hitches (not their fault) and they were always responsive and things were answered. Even with Covid-19 problems, they answered my questions as best they could in the moment, and ultimately resolved all issues I may have had. I have reviewed MANY subscription services and they all get horrible reviews. This service deserves a good one. I got a refund after lack of physical magazine delivery due to Covid issues. I didnt expect it. But am happy, they honored it and followed through. A+

I ordered a notebook from this company 6 weeks ago and still have not received it. Every time I call to check on it they tell me it is in back order from the manufacturer. I ordered a notebook directly from said manufacturer 3 weeks ago and have already received it. I never write review, but this place is a scam. Do not order from here.

I never write reviews but the customer service was so horrible I have to say something...I ordered 1 At the Strand Puzzle however they mistakenly charged me for and shipped me two (charged and shipped separately). Upon receiving the 2nd Ive called and emailed requesting a return label and refund for the duplicate shipment. They claimed since they paid the shipping fees on the outbound shipments I should pay the shipping fee for the return however they advised I email their customer service department ([email protected]). I followed up with an email and was told they would not be providing a return label. WHY WOULD I PAY TO RETURN SOMETHING I DIDNT ORDER? To date there has been no resolution on the matter. I would never order anything else from here or recommend it to anyone. STAY AWAY!

With recent book store closures ... I took a chance and ordered a single copy of Vantage magazine from MagazineCafe and was delighted with the service. I just received my magazine in a padded envelope ... the magazine was in pristine condition ... thank you.A couple of years ago I decided to subscribe to Vantage magazine through the publishers subscription service ... over the following year I received my quarterly magazine, wrapped in a thin plastic bag through the mail. On three occasions the magazine was so badly damaged that I had to request a replacement. When you are paying a subscription service for a quality magazine you expect to receive it in good condition.Thank you. Based on this positive experience I have now placed an annual subscription to Vantage from your company.Take care and thank you !!

Unable to provide no starts. I ordered back before covid and still no magazine, email reply or anything else. Before letting them charge your card for 220 for a mag subscription. Make sure to speak to a person. Their email and offices are not answering. I still have no mage multiple attempts at emails. Such a shame.

The item was shipped on time by Magazine Cafe, however was delayed by the shipping company. Magazine Cafe staff went above and beyond to make certain my item made it across country in time. The staff was pleasant, courteous and helpful and provided excellent communication. I will do business with them again and highly recommend!

MAGAZINE CAFE took excellent care of my order. The particular ELLE UK magazine I wanted was one my Granddaughter had been looking forsince the end of July, 2013. By accident, Magazine Cafes site appeared and there was the magazine I wanted! I called to make sure they still had the Sept. issue and the gentleman I spoke with was very nice and checked to be sure they still had copies. I really like books and this place satisfies that interest. They have a very wide inventory for all ages and all interests. I buy books from there and I also just browse and flip through stuff. Put down ur phones and read at this place.

Order the Rolling stones magazine with Harry Styles on the cover at the end of August 2019. i haven’t received the order yet and it’s now May 2020! The customer care is ridiculous, no reply and no solutions. I sent tons of emails, complains and feedbacks but received 0 REPLY.I cant find my order and I paid a lot of money for my magazine. I will never use their services again. Ridiculous and unprofessional

This is the place to get the magazines you wont find anywhere else, publications on every subject and from every country. The fashion selection is amazing, and while many cant indulge in those new issues with $500-$1000 price tags, the sale section has something affordable for everyone! Even the discounted, past issues are a world above what youd find at a run-of-the-mill bookstore or newsstand.

Its a store full of fabulous magazines conveniently located in midtown. They have all kinds of magazines so its easy to get your fix of varied topics and such. They also have coffee and treats to eat while you look for your favorite mag. I would definitely recommend it to magazine lovers!!

I have been ordering an Italian Magazine for my mother from Magazine Cafe for a few years. I speak with Bhanu by phone or e-mail. He is always helpful, professional & answers any questions I have promptly.I haven’t had any issues with delivery. I live in another state so I have never been to the store. However, next time I am in NYC, I will stop by with my mother to check it out.Previously, I used to order the Italian magazine from another company. Delivery was late often & sometimes a magazine was never received. This magazine has a continuous storyline, so if an issue is never received, it’s like reading a book with pages missing. Dealing with them was awful.

This place is absolutely amazing! Today i went in thinking i wouldnt find the I-D magazine that is published in the UK. I was looking for the one with Adele on the cover. I went in and there it was, staring at me. I absolutely love this place and would be back for all my international and local magazine needs.

Im utterly impressed by the magazines they have in store. Since its in the Garment District, theres a definite focus on fashion magazines. Being able to buy international magazines is so awesome - I find them more inspiring and worth a purchase. You could spend a long time perusing magazines, deciding which to buy, so come with time to spare!

DO NOT SHOP ON THIS WEB!! I ordered 2 fashion magazines. But the usps guys returned my stuff. Then I called customer service to explain this situation and asked for re-shipping. They told me they would give me a feedback one day later by email. However, after 1 week, I received a call told me that I MUST PAY FOR MY SHIPPING FEE AGAIN!!! I complained this situation and asked for return for all of my money. The customer service guys said me he would report to his manager and gave me an answer. Guess what?! 1 week later, I received a notice from my bank and they only returned the amount excluding shipping fee!! And NO EMAIL, NO NOTICE FROM THEM!!!

I visited this magazine store in hopes of finding an awesome issue for 2018.For about fourth-five minutes I was happy being able to view the magazine until I was shouted at over the balcony of the store by a shop worker for opening the plastic of a magazine. He stated that I must ask them before opening the plastic.Note, this was my first in the shop and was not aware of the protocol but the worker just kept yelling at me. Persisting that I must ask.However, one of the other workers on duty apologized for his coworkers action but I was still unsettled by how I was approached about the misunderstanding so I left the shop immediately.This shop expects you to buy a product you can try out or view before purchasing.I would not recommend going here AT ALL. Not a pleasant atmosphere.

Terrible website - spent two days trying to subscribe to a magazine. Website is amateurish at best. Entered all my information and then could not get it to complete, tried again just now, then called their 212 number - spoke to a man with heavy accent. He was very rude to me, told me to change my browser to Chrome or Firefox, said that the latest Microsoft Internet Explorer is not supported. When I said Explorer is the most used browser in the world, he had more rude comments and hung up on me.DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH these awful people.

This is the first time I order from them. But also is my last time. Feel so upset, before I order from them already email and ask them if my magazine with come with whatever they come with, I order this magazine a long time with other store, they all come with the promotion gift. This is the first time I only got the magazine:(I order three months, this is my first month received, I needs to cancel the rest of issue. Please refund my money back.DO NOT ORDER from them. I fell in love with the New Yorker’s latest cover and immediately wanted to buy it in person. This store not only had the issue I wanted, but also had plenty of niche publications, stationary, and snacks to buy as well.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Ordered a magazine and after 4 months and no magazine, all i received were emails saying that i would receive it soon. When i called the manager (it seems that there are only two people working there, bc i talked to the same people everytime) was rude and called me names and spoke to me as if i were stupid. THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE!!! DO NOT USE!!!!STILL HAVENT GOTTEN MY MONEY BACK!!!

Despite the price, I decided to buy Mens Non No from Magazine Cafe because it was the only place selling this magazine. I was really happy because I got my first issue just 2 days after I placed the order. However, the second issue did not come and I had to call them at the end of month. When it came, it did not come with the promotional gift that was supposedly attached to the magazine and the gift was one of the major reasons why I bought Mens Non No. Very disappointed and frustrated.
