I have purchased 2 mattresses from nest and love them both. My original sales person was helpful and knowledgeable. He is no longer there.I had an issue over the weekend and needed help. A woman answered who worked in the store, refused to help, pawned me onto customer service and just provided and email, and was borderline rude. She couldnt be issue and it was a time sensitive important issue.I called the 800 and was routed to the San Francisco store. They helped me and resolved my issue right away on a Saturday night . It was very much appreciated . I love my Alexander signature mattress but I suggest you buy online, and deal with the 800 # as the people in the NYC store have no interest in helping
This product is mediocre. I had several nights of unpleasant sleep, contacted the company and they give you the run around to utilize the warranty. If you are looking for a good night sleep. Do. Not. Buy. This. Mattress! My husband and I are constantly experiencing a inward sinking feeling. It is not worth the money!
Had a great experience with Nest at their showroom! I liked Nest from what I saw online, but wanted to be able to try out the mattress in person. Trisan was so lovely and helpful at the NYC showroom with showing us the ones we were interested in from online. I always feel kind of weird laying on a mattress for an extended amount of time in stores, so I loved that she also reminded us to give it a few minutes on each side to ensure we got a feel for each mattress. We ended up ordering the natural latex hybrid and are really looking forward to it!
Reayana was extremely helpful! She listened to my needs, made the appropriate recommendations, and ultimately choose the best bed for me.After searching over 5 mattress companies, I decided to go with Nest Bedding as they were simply the best in both quality & price point! Will refer my friends here.
Good luck returning your mattress if you are unhappy with the product you receive, even though they have a 90 day guarantee. The mattresses will seem firmer in store when you try them for a few minutes vs. a full night, be aware. And if you want to return the mattress, they will make you jump through hoops. They literally instructed me to sleep on the floor for 30 days and send pictures every day or they would not send me a firmer replacement insert. Thank heavens for Amex chargebacks. The Firm mattress is quite soft and 2 months of back pain later, I cant reccomend this place for anyone.
Great experience shopping here .... Rihanna was OUTSTANDING...very professional and smart and felt more like a friend than anything else...hate going to furniture places and a sales rep comes up to hounding you...she was not like that all felt no pressure into buying anything and was very helpful..she got us the perfect mattress with a pillow and sheets to match. Overall my experience was great but Rihanna made it better thank you again!
We went on quite an adventure getting the bed we ordered as one of the layers from our all-latex bed came wrong twice, but honestly the bed is incredible and was worth the wait. The truly shocking experience of this purchase was that customer service went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make it right by not only giving us a refund and allowing us to keep the bed, but also overnighted the correct part since we were about to leave town. In all my life, I have never felt like a company owned up to their mistakes and cared enough to correct their error like Nest. Outstanding customer service and the most incredible bed. Highly recommend both the company and the beds and you can bet with absolute certainty that this is a company that cares about not only their products, but especially their customers experiences.
Get workers, amazing prices, near perfect customer service
We purchased NEST BEDDING Tencel sheets in June of this year. We also purchased sheets from SHEEX, COZY EARTH, BOLL & BRANCH, and PARACHUTE -- it was sort of a test to see which sheets we liked best. Nest Bedding came in at the top, along with Cozy Earth Bamboo Sheets. Once we tried these 2 companies offerings, none of the other 3 compared. In the softness category, Cozy Earth and Nest Bedding were far above the others! They are both very well made too -- but NEST BEDDING cant be beat in the pricing area. Cozy Earth is about double the cost. Also, the way Next Bedding fits tall mattresses with toppers is fantastic. We have Cali-Kings, and there is no extra pulling needed to make them fit just right. The pillow cases go on easy as well -- even the king size. The only inconvenience is that their website doesnt allow for extra pillow cases to be ordered without calling the customer service number and talking to an agent. They have wonderful people working the phones, so no complaints there--but it would be nice to be able to order extra pillow case sets without having the make that extra phone call. Bottom line... NEST BEDDING Tencel sheets get 5 stars, value and quality are there....luxury too!! We love them so much, we just ordered a couple more sets!!
I would not recommend Nest Bedding. I purchased an Alexander hybrid mattress from them after 8 years of comfort on my previous, big name brand mattress. After about 30 days, I alerted customer service that it was uncomfortable and I didn’t want to finish my full 90-day-trial, I wanted to return it. Customer service recommended I purchase a new box spring. I purchased the box spring and gave it another try. It made no difference for me, so I alerted customer service and they approved my return. They wrote me that I would have to find somewhere to donate the mattress, they recommended the Salvation army. I contacted the Salvation Army and they did not want the mattress. I figured I could see if I could find somewhere else to donate it, but at that time I was transitioning back to work after maternity leave and was in the midst of moving. After I moved, I contacted the company again to see if I could still donate the mattress. They said that their policy says that I must find somewhere to donate the mattress within 30 days, or the return is not honored anymore. So that was that, they would not even consider an exchange at that point. Now I am stuck with the most uncomfortable $1300 mattress. I don’t even sleep on it most nights, I’d rather sleep on the couch, that’s how horrible it is! I am just going to throw it away and buy a mattress from a regular mattress store. I truly recommend that people go to a mattress store and lay on the mattress before they buy it. I also do not recommend this company since they want you to find somewhere to donate the mattress and not many organizations want use mattresses. I agree that this whole 90-day trial mattress is very wasteful if you end up not liking the mattress. Also, if you lead a busy lifestyle, spending time trying to donate a mattress to get your money back from a mattress that didn’t work out is a big waste.
Spent the day checking out multiple bedding stores and were really pleased with the offerings and the lone staff member Reayana, at this location. We asked a thousand different questions, as did other shoppers and she was very patient with us and addressed everything cheerfully. We really liked a few of the beds and were very pleased with the price points. They also have a woven blanket were in love with. We have a Purple and while its a great matress, it weighs more than my car, and is a little lacking in support. We are considering the Alexander Signature Hybrid, which is much closer to our needs, while sitting at around half the price of our Purple. Awesome.
Great small mattress company showroom. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Haven’t purchased a mattress yet, but seems like they make a quality product at a good price, even for bed-in-a-box mattresses. Definitely worth stopping by to look at as an alternative if considering a new mattress purchase from Casper, etc.
Nest Bedding has a good reputation for their mattresses and this showroom is a nice and well decorated space to see whether they can be a good fit for you. The sales associate Reayana has a very calming presence and is knowledgeable about all the products. I ended up buying a full latex mattress from here and have never owned a better mattress in my life.
Great service and plenty of selection. It has all the choices and testing. Especially the adjustable bed frame experience..
Great customer service and a very good selection of mattresses.Neal was extremely helpful in advising us on different kinds, but most importantly, he was quite honest about products. Very pleased with our experience, and will definitely recommend this place.
I wanted to share our story for your readers- my wife and I truly wanted to like our mattress from Nest Bedding. It seemed like the ideal mattress for us as we considered our health and our familys. However, it wasn’t for us, as we woke up with sore backs after using this bed but not others.I requested a refund for the mattress during our trial period, but instead of a refund I got an email from company founder Joe Alexander asking us to give his mattress another try. We then embarked on an ordeal where Mr. Alexander offered and sent out a topper, questioned our bedroom setup and denigrated other competitors options on the market. After trading many emails with Mr. Alexander - and trying what he suggested, we decided that this mattress was still not for us. He refused to refund our money. The $2400 Lesson: Trust your gut instinct. If a bed doesnt feel right during the trial period, insist on the refund- nothing but the refund. Period. Its also too bad that we discovered that Joe Alexander values revenue retention versus true customer service and positive word of mouth. He also demonstrated a bit of a temper. I know others have had good experiences, but honestly, from our experience, I would say this: dont shop here!
After spending weeks researching all the online mattress companies we finally decided on Nest because of their great reviews for not only their product but also their customer service. We had a slight problem with our delivery which was handled with urgency and a very polite manner. From day one we were sleeping better and both had less back and joint pain. We went with the firm and absolutely LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!! I am beyond impressed by this company and their product. These days it means something when people stand behind their products and guarantees!
I dont normally post reviews for anything but I feel inclined to do so here as a mattress is an important part of your life and physical well being. So my wife and I have had this mattress for probably a year or more and we have both been experiencing back pain and stiffness in the mornings. We have the recommended base as well. I understand we are well past the 100 day return policy but I just wanted to share what I have read from other reviewers who have had similar experiences after having the bed longer than 100 days. Seems these mattresses dont hold up over time.Shopping experience was fine but really, it is a mattress store. Is it ever really that bad? Never navigated customer service but it sounds as bad as to be expected.
The store is nice and so are the associates. But the return policy has changed for the worse and is now a joke. The customer service likely wont explain it properly either so you get stuck keeping a bed you dont want. Ive even been told the exact opposite of what the policy was WITH PROOF and they still denied my return. You can do better with another company that doesnt play games.RESPONSE TO COMPANY COMMENT: Actually its not plain and simple so to advertise as such is deceitful and bad customer service. This is how they get you.Sure you can make a return if you order ONE mattress and dont like it. But theyll do everything in their power to get you to keep one of their mattresses like send out a topper, which would do nothing for a bed thats too soft but theyll offer it anyway. Or theyll try to disqualify a return altogether by saying you have the wrong type of bed or support and thus not eligible for a return. Then if you decide to try a different mattress, which many people do because ordering online sucks, they wont tell you that their new policy says you just gave up any chance of getting your money back.Policy now states (didnt use to) that you can either get a return OR an exchange. So if you try two beds that are both not for you, then too damn bad. And customer service will surely not mention this at any point. If anything theyll encourage it so youre not able to return anything. All this wouldnt be so bad if it was mentioned clearly and upfront during customer service conversations. But theyre conveniently left out and then youre left with well you shouldve read the policy regardless of what youd been told via email or over the phone.
Came in about 30 minutes before closing. Knew exactly what I wanted, just wanted to test it out. Associate was very friendly, didnt try to upsell me, had no issues working a little past closing, helped me load the mattress into a vehicle, and even gave me dinner recommendations for the night. Very happy.
Marcus was our salesperson at the Nest Bedding showroom on the Bowery, and he was fantastically friendly and helpful. The showroom itself was clean and had all the Nest beds available. We were able to take off our shoes and spend time on each bed without being rushed or aggressively upsold. It felt like hanging out at a friends house.Absolutely the most pleasant mattress-shopping experience I have ever had.
I did try both Nest and Saatva in New York City their luxury firm which it’s medium firm. Both great bed for side sleeping however saatva brand leaves nest bedding in dust as far as the outer material look, Nest bedding is good bed looses because they have a horribly esthetic which it looks like 500$ bed and Saatva same price as Nest they look 3000$ . Hopefully Nest can get their act together and make the look as good as Saatva because I just purchased Saatva, again comfort both same.
Great mattress - don’t buy the sheets as the ones I brought from Nest - the fitted bottom sheet is way to big. After several calls - lots of emails I gave up as it was clear that they were not interested in resolving the problem.
Reayana was awesome! Even though I didn’t love my bed, she helped me through trying other options and was very responsive.
Literally the BEST costumer service ever. They were so incredibly accommodating! And I love my bed :)
The most knowledgable, enjoyable mattress shopping experiences ever. You are encouraged to try out each mattress that you like for at least 30 minutes or enough to properly doze off. Friendly, engaging, and relaxing.
Most pleasant mattress-buying experience ever. Marcus was friendly and knowledgeable in a genuinely helpful way, not at all pushy. If you are reading this and have the power to give him a raise, please do so.
Shopping for a mattress is somewhere up there with the dentist in activities my wife loathes. So, after a disappointing experience in the big chain stores trying to find something that works for us, I was interested to see Nest Bedding showing up again and again at the top of the best buy rankings of sites like The Mattress Nerd, Sleep Sherpa, and Sleepopolis -- sites that review a *lot* of mattresses and seem to really know what theyre talking about. It was refreshing to find a smaller company making really quality stuff. And, after Joe (the founder and owner of Nest Bedding) made himself available to us personally to address some of our unique concerns, it became clear that their customer service would be top-notch as well. Were incredibly pleased to have bought from Nest Bedding. Its well worth a visit, if not a purchase.
Buyer beware: this company does not honor its warranty. We purchased a mattress from Nest, found it too soft, and then exchanged it for their Nest Hybrid Latex Medium mattress. At first, we thought this mattress was extremely comfortable. But after about one year the mattress developed indentations on each side, and we started waking up with back pain each morning, often waking up in the middle of the night because of how uncomfortable the bed was. I should mention that I’m around 130 pounds and my girlfriend is around 100 pounds. We are not sumo wrestlers. We reached out to Nest’s customer service representative who seemed very sympathetic and offered a couple suggestions (rotating the mattress and opening the zipper cover and flipping over the top latex piece). We followed their suggestions and got a couple months of relief, but then the horrible backaches returned. I contacted their customer service representative again and he asked for photos demonstrating the indentation. They told us to use a ruler and a piece of string to show the degree of indentation. We took a bunch of photos, emailed them, and were told the photos weren’t clear enough. We explained that the amount of indentation in a bed is a very difficult thing to capture in a photo, but we took a bunch more and emailed them again. Then they called us and requested more photos, describing once again the ruler and string technique. We took more and sent them in. Then Nest responded: “Unfortunately, the depression isnt deep enough to be considered a warranty issue. The customer service lead is willing to send you out a firmer piece of latex if this one is to [sic] soft. It would cost between 150 and 250, and would be nonrefundable.” We responded that we were disappointed, and would not have spent nearly two thousand dollars on a mattress if we’d known the warranty depended on their arbitrary assessment of the severity of our impression from a bunch of photos. We asked if they’d consider replacing just the latex sheet free of charge considering the circumstances, and they never even responded to that email. That was a few months ago, and we’ve since given up on any assistance from Nest. So, in short, spending thousands on a mattress here is no guarantee that it won’t develop deep impressions that will destroy your back. And the “warranty” that they offer is basically worthless. Like us, you might just get stuck with a very expensive lemon of a mattress. I would look elsewhere for your mattress needs.
I was impressed by this place and its various demos of all the salesman Shawn. He was very informative, patient, accommodating and best of all, was not pushy. Hed leave you alone to feel the beds all you want and did not pressure you one bit to buy now or like you couldnt leave unless you bought something like the cheezy salesman over at sleepare a couple blocks further down. Sleepare was very offputting. Ill be coming back to nest to make a definite purchase. Shawns non invasive/non pressure style made me more comfortable as a customer to want to come back and even recommend to anyone else to come here for sure. This place has many variations of latex mattresses to choose from, as well as memory foam, either all latex or hybrid with different degrees of firmness. Im 265lbs with bad lower back, poor circulation and sore from my bed which is a firm coil with plush top foam, but it has lost its support. Ive tried these hybrids and all foam mattreses before and been disappointed enough not to buy another one. The latex i tried at nest seemed more supportive without that sink-in feeling you get from foam. Foam also eventually loses its form. Latex does not. So Im already feeling hopeful this type of mattress will be it for me. Ill update later after i get one to verify.
Very friendly associates, and great selection of beds. Im loving my hybrid alexander!
Awesome store, personnel and an impressive collection of truly comfortable mattresses.
Didnt buy anything on this visit, but it was really nice to try out the options offered by this company without needing to deal with trying the return process. Ultimately bought one of the easy breather pillows later
One of the only places to get premium super high quality mattresses, and pillows, but at a fraction of the cost.
We were shopping for an all latex king size mattress and ordered a Nest all latex mattress. The whole experience was very disappointing and we eventually returned the mattress. Our woes started with the white glove delivery that was not so white glove! The mattress comes in parts that they assemble on site and is a clumsy process. The first time they layered the pieces wrong and had to come back to re-configure. The interaction with their store manager was not pleasant either. The mattress was very soft and felt lumpy and we tried to see if they had a firmer option. After a long protracted interaction we finally were fed up and initiated a return process which too was sub-optimal. Glad we returned it, we had an amazing g experience with another company and love our mattress.
Great beds and excellent customer service.
Both Marcus and Dan are not what you would consider mattress salespeople - because they arent - they are closer to your own personal comfort consultants. Each Nest bed is amazing in its own right, but like a homemade ice cream shop with lots of flavors, everyone has their own taste, so theres sure to be a Nest bed that youll fall in love with. They have most of their mattresses in stock so you can take it home the same day - all are compressed and rolled up into a nice package, but if you cant fit it into your car or lIke most in NYC dont drive, they can arrange delivery for you. The prices, quality and service are all unbeatable (even the pillows are to die for). So if you are looking for a well made bed at a price that wont break the bank - please do yourself a favor and add Nest to your mattress shopping list. You wont be sorry!
Won’t ship product, won’t refund either. I’m a repeat customer but never again.Edit: emailed Joe right away after he responded below but no one has helped me.Edit 2: eventually got my pillows but I will never order again
Great service, best bed ever
