These guys are the absolute amazing !!!They’re extremely knowledgable and professional, and they really go above and beyond to take care of their customers I will do the trip from New Jersey to the West Village because it’s worth it And they gave me a replacement car for the day that my car was it in the shop it’s really rare to find a good mechanic,look at the picture before and after thank you very much guys

I had a great experience here today. I called for an oil change before traveling tomorrow. Charlie squeezed me in and upon arrival I remembered one of the dash alerts was on, and my battery needed replacing. Charlie took it in stride and did the oil change, battery replacement, and did what needed to be done to address the dash alert. A half hour later I was on my way home. Will definitely be back for general maintenance and repair.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! I needed an out of state emissions check done on my car and they were patient, helpful, and very knowledgeable about what needed to be done when my car had issues. Theres no other place I would ever take my car!

Great work, very knowledgeable staff, and fantastic customer service. They go above and beyond to be helpful. I had my break pads replaced and car detailed. It looked brand new after. In the past they have also helped me with leaking tires, completely free of charge.  Highly recommend West Village Auto Repair to anyone who needs their car serviced! Trash! Never answer the telephones! Whats the point of allowing for someone to request a quote online and NOT ANSWER the inquiry. Went in to see someone just to be told they are busy for the next 2 weeks?! What kind of business runs this way smdh. Maybe i didnt look like a customer they would want to serve

Limited knowledge staff, Cash Only business. Took my late-model vehicle in due to a flickering headlight. Eventually greeted and explained the issue. They were going to look into it, as well as perform some basic service. Later on in the day connected with the shop, they were unable to figure out the electrical issue, but basic service was done. When I spoke with the tech/mechanic at the shop, he told me these are the wrong headlights for this vehicle. Well... they were marked for the vehicle, so that would be news to the manufacturer. Went to settle up, they insisted Cash Only, receipts not available because computer broke down that very morning... so, I left my email address, followed up, but never did get that receipt. Nonetheless, at home I removed the headlight casing and instantaneously noticed a semi-clipped wire leading to the headlight. Soldered a new wire and have had no issue since. Coincidentally, caught up with a long-time user of this garage who swears by it.

These guys are the best. I was in a major pinch and stranded with a flat tire- They helped me right away and didn’t even charge me. They were so kind and helpful, and really saved the day. They even gave me a magnolia cupcake. I can’t recommend West Village Auto Repair highly enough- kind, professional, and high quality. 5 stars all the way!

Service was very friendly and the work done on my breaks was excellent! They even found me a good parking spot that I could leave my car in and gave me a two year warranty on labor and parts. I will absolutely be returning and recommend to anyone who needs work done on their vehicle.

Amazing service for my car inspection here- I showed up for my appointment at the scheduled time and had the inspection complete shortly after (was even able to reclaim my parking spot!) Charlie, the owner, is truly a great guy and a gem to have in the neighborhood. I now understand why they have such a loyal clientele and as a new car owner will be returning for all of my future service needs!

After pushing my luck on an icy snow-plow mound, I started noticing a strange noise coming from brakes and began to worry that I seriously damaged my car. This happened to occur the day of a long road trip, and so I didnt want to leave it unchecked before departing.I called West Village Auto in the morning asking if there was any availability, and the owner told me to come straight over so he can check it out. He instantly knew what the problem was as soon as I described the situation, and graciously him and another mechanic simply cleaned my brakes and readjusted a splash guard near the tire (the source of the noise).Not only did they squeeze me in during a very busy day before holidays, but they were incredibly welcoming, informative, kind, and efficient. I had a lovely conversation with the owner and was touched by his generosity.Bring your car here. Its a great shop with great people.

West Village Auto Repair has been my go-to location for service on my Fiat. They consistently offer top-notch service, and are incredibly kind and friendly. I highly recommend them.

Came here for an oil change and told them I was experiencing a problem with weird noises coming from my brakes. They did the oil change but said they looked at my brakes and that everything was fine. I got my car back after an hour or so and the noise was persisting, so I soon took it to my Subaru dealership instead. They identified wear issues with all 4 rotors and are replacing them. Not thrilled that for “weird noises coming from the brakes,” not that much care was taken to examine the options.

Extremely unprofessional and refused to make an appointment for minor body work. He strung me along for a week saying, call me in the morning, I may be able to fit you in. But he rarely picks up his phone, and has no voice mail set up. When I asked if I could make an appointment, he said that reservations are only for clients. I would recommend looking elsewhere.

West Village Auto is the best! There’s nothing they can’t fix on your car, and they are timely and gracious to work with regardless of how big or small the job is. They’re a busy shop, but they always take the time to explain and go through all the options with you. Love having them in downtown Manhattan!

I really love this place.The people are very friendly and trust worthy.... i put my car there after that I received an outrageous estimate from the dealer.The owner of the shop was very nice from the beginning they put my car on the lift right away and check the car for me.After about two hours they call me with an estimate for the repair work and let me tell you that it was less than half of what the dealer wanted to charge me.....!!!!Im really happy with the work they did on my car and on top of that they gave me the car back nice and clean after hand wash.Thank you for your great service 👍👍👍I definitely recommend this place for your next repair.

Was excited to try this place since I live right around the corner and reviews were good. Unfortunately when I called to schedule an appointment the person working there rudely shouted through the phone “I don’t have time!!” before I could even finish what I was saying.Short lived relationship which consisted of a 12 second phone call, so disappointing.

I was downtown, got a flat tire, and could not find any shops in the city, without having to cross to Jersey. GV Auto repair was the closest shop I could get to, and I was really floored by their service and attentiveness. I was expecting to wait around for an hour or two, but within 10 minutes of pulling up to the shop, they saw I had a flat and got a guy working on it right away. Ive had flats before and was expecting the tire to be flat the next morning, as the hole was near to the outer edge of the tread, but 2 days later, my tire is full of air.Love finding gems, and GV Auto definitely is now my top choice in NYC!

Great customer service and quick turnaround time on a CV axle replacement for my 2003 VW Jetta. Only reason its not five stars is because the cost of the part was quite a bit higher than what I could find online. Next time, I may buy my own replacement part. Nevertheless, they still did the repair quickly and for about 75% of the estimate I got from VW of SF.
