Convenience is a cost. Prices are definitely not budget friendly. Paid $1,100 for brakes and rotors on a 2017 F150. Had the first set changed for $675 in queens.Gave them two stars because most mechanics needed the truck overnight to work on and they were able to fit me in. Dropped off at 11 and it was ready by 530.

Worst customer service I have ever received. When I showed up to ask about pricing and services, the owner rudely said to me he cannot answer anything unless I paid the required $80 service fee. I would of understand if he actually did work on my car, but I was just asking simple questions. I didnt need his tone and attitude so I took my business somewhere else. Im sure their services are great as so many other reviewers have mentioned; however, if you care about being treated with respect as a customer, go somewhere else.

Got my car serviced and inspected here. Everyone I worked with was very pleasant and receptive. The only thing is I had to leave my car double parked in their long line of cars but I picked up my car a few days later and it sounds great and is working well.

Their $145 an hour labor charges are ridiculous and they charged an additional $85 just to diagnose the problem, a charge they didnt deduct from the total bill. I didnt have the energy to shop around but I went online later to RepairPal and saw estimates of labor charges of $90 at most, as well as garages that would do the work for those fees. If you want to feel even worse about things now, bring your car here.

Went in last year to replace My 2010 E350 Motor Mounts and they did a beautiful job. the only catch is if you bring your own parts they wont add guarantee. but overall its the next place other then Benz I would take my vehicle.

I had body work done here on my bmw lease. I went to pick up the car. It was sloppy work and looked rushed. I had to go back a couple times to adjust the work. In addition, i made it clear that i need bmw factory parts and i was told that they were. I returned my lease and now getting charged $500 per headlight because theyre after market and not from bmw as i was told. I called the owner and let him know the issue and hasnt called me back like he said. I should be reimbursed for these charges

Beware of this place and the rats ate your wires story! Make them show you the rats nest & the damaged wires. The owner will make up damages to force their $145 per hour rate if your repairs take less than 1 hour to correct 🤬 I will NOT return to this shop!

This is the worst auto repair shop I have ever been to in my life. The manager is rude, screams at customers and no respect for women- overall, really bad attitude. In addition, the place is more expensive than anywhere else. Please, Do yourself a favor and don’t go there, unless you want to get screamed at and robbed.

Wonderful customer service

I went to this spot for 2 break pads and engine oil change. After checking the car the manager suggested that I needed to change all 4 of my break pads +oil change they said it will cost $500. I declined and went to another auto shop where for the same service they asked for $220. What is interesting is that the new mechanic showed me that my break pads were fine and didnt need to be replaced. The best part of this whole experience was not the money I saved but the good feeling from dealing with a honest mechanic.

Thus recently I searched on line for honest car inspection services and I was happy to find NY Prestige Inc. The survey showed NY Prestige Inc is not only honest, but also fast, efficient and provides work of high quality. So I went to NY Prestige Inc for my car inspection this year and oil change.Indeed, NY Prestige Inc. provided the best Auto service I have ever experienced. The manager and staff members are polite, fast, honest, and they provide best quality of work without charging any unnecessary extra fees. I drove to NY Prestige Inc. in the morning of a Saturday. I thought that I had to wait for hours to get the inspection + oil change done as my previously experienced at all other car inspection stations. But a Prestige staff member (His name was Robert, if I remember correctly) and the manager politely greeted me immediately and told me that they would start to do the work immediately. I was happy for the prompt response. There is a next door grocery shop, and I went there for a quick shop ~ 20 minutes. When I came back to Prestige, I was surprised to learn that all the work I requested was done (obviously less that 20 minutes) and my car was waiting for me to take off. This is the fastest and best auto inspection service I have ever encountered in US.I highly recommend NY Prestige Inc. to all the car owners.

I come here for my NYS emissions inspection. They are always very accommodating and honest. I had a bulge on my sidewall that wouldnt let me pass inspection, so they recommended a nearby flat fix shop.The tire was replaced and I came back the next day with no wait to finish up what they started. Great experience getting our car inspected just now at Prestige Auto Repair. I called ahead and was quoted a wait time of 45 minutes from the time of arrival. The person on the phone was clear and professional. I arrived and I was greeted with a smile, asked to check in and was quoted the same time as on the phone. The waiting area was clean and warm on a cold day. In 15 minutes my car was completed and I was on way ahead of schedule. I noticed that each person who came was handled with the same level of wonderful customer service having their questions answered about their particular issue without being rushed. I will be happy to bring any automotive business back to Prestige.

I had been to Prestige Auto Repair for inspections but when I brought in my Jeep back in January that couldn’t stay running under it’s own power, I received what feels like a new Jeep, honestly it runs great. Along with the car misfiring and stalling Jay was quick in letting me know all the things the Jeep needed and quoted me fairly. Jay was very candid which I appreciated, he also treated me fairly when I brought the Jeep back in for what was the same problem. A fan shroud went missing and when I pointed it out a new one was put in promptly and free of charge. Good people, good servicing, no complaints. I will be back.

This is a pretty neat auto repair place. I can honestly say they are good people, prices are a little overpriced but other then that it’s fine.

I had my family move their business over to Prestige. The team is so nice and professional. They dont try to charge you for twelve things when you come in for one, but they do give your car a good once over each time, and I appreciate that. Very accommodating and easy to work with. You may need to call to check in on your repair (as opposed to them calling with updates), as they get slammed, but they have always been done on time. Highly recommend these guys!

Overpriced and didnt repair my car correctly,. so I had to take it elsewhere to have it fixed. The second place charged me half what Prestige charged me and said Prestige did a shoddy job. Its now fixed correctly.The vibe in the waiting area is weird and the one guy who works there is kind of creepy. I recommend taking your car somewhere else.

I got my emissions test done here a while back and had a bad experience. I wish Id trusted my first impressions and brought my car somewhere else.First of all, $145 PER HOUR is their labor charge. I thought I was reading their sign wrong when I was there to get my break-pads checked recently. They charge to even LOOK at your car. The quote I was given was very high and the owner was condescending when I spoke to him about how high I thought the quote was. Theres no need to be rude, but it seems to come easy to him because he was rude a few years ago when I was here too.I ended up paying a fee for them to give me a quote - wow quite a scam to charge for a quote! I took my car to another shop and paid about 40% less than what this place tried to charge me. Dont fall for their con job!

I have been going to the Prestige Auto Repair for 5 or 6 years for my 1986 Toyota Van. They have been great mechanics, always very clear and thorough in their explanations and very fair in pricing. Also, the van has been running strong, 282,000 miles and counting, has been driven across the continent twice, even some crazy off-roading in some remote areas all over the west. I have to say, having the van almost exclusively serviced at the Prestige Auto Repair gives me the confidence to go the places I want in my vintage ride. I love these guys!

Ron is the man at Prestige Auto Repair! Got your own parts? No problem! I brought my Acura in for an axle change and it was done ASAP! Then, my BMW decides to have a misfire so I pulled the code myself and called Ron . He told me to get Bosch spark plugs and coil packs because they are cheaper for the customer to get than if he got them! Then, I asked him how much the labor would be and he gave me an UNBELIEVABLE price! Thanks Ron !

Be careful with this place and be sure to ask for second opinions and third opinions before having them work on your car. They may up sell you on things you don’t need. Service here is also quite pricey.My car has never had any engine issues since it was purchased in 2007. I went to get my AC fixed with them and when I went to pick up my car the engine was shaking. They insisted everything was fine but later that day, the check engine light came on and the car was barely drivable. Unfortunately, I was on the road on a 3 hour trip and almost didn’t make it. Long story short, I’m not sure if they caused the engine issue but by asking for several opinions from other mechanics, I realized that they were trying to “fix” the engine by up selling me things I did not need. I didn’t trust them to do anything else on my car and ended up going somewhere else.

Great auto repair shop in NYC---Ive been here 3 times already and every time been very happy. This latest visit I actually broke down in the middle of midtown NYC and called them for towing. Their service is always prompt and very fair priced, which is rare in my experience with NYC auto repair shops. The manager is also always very friendly and they give you regular updates by phone if you are not there in the shop. Overall always a good experience and I can recommend them for auto repair and towing in NYC.

My car was inspected by NY Prestige. The Manager was polite and very helpful. The garage has plenty of room for parking. I waited not more than 15 minutes. While waiting, the manager suggested that I might wish to visit the bakery across the street for a coffee and a danish. Now that was a great idea. When I returned from the bakery, my car was just about through inspection. Getting a car inspected usually means lines and waiting and annoyance. At NY Prestige, the inspection process was easy, stress-free, and actually quite pleasant. I definitely recommend NY Prestige.

Holy crap I found a reputable, knowlegable, friendly auto shop in Manhattan!Car quit in Midtown on a Sunday. Called Prestige they said truck will be there in 20 minutes. I settled in for what I thought would be an hours wait. But sure enough here comes the truck about 20 minutes later. Being a cynical New Yorker I was alarmed by the drivers friendliness and efficiency - he had me hooked-up in about 90 seconds and was very helpful and understanding about my predicament. I thought There must be something fishy here, will I ever see my car again? He took it straight to Prestige and they had it fixed the same day. I work a late shift and was able to pick it up after getting off work at midnight. Cars running fine and the repairs cost just about what I expected.Whats happened to this city that there are actually efficient, honest auto repair shops all of a sudden?Highly recommended.

These guys are legit and amazing. Brought in my 2010 Volvo XC90 to get it inspected, they basically told me they cannot do it because I needed new tires and they can order them for me and get it to me the next day, the issue was that I have already bought the tires and was waiting for them to come in at another business. They said I could cancel with the other guys and would give me a good price but when I told them how much I spent, they said to go with the other business and bring the car for inspection once I get the new tires installed, thats honesty and integrity. I will come back to them again. My inspection took less than 5 minutes.

Prestige is a local business that provides top quality and professional auto repair and service. They stand by their work with competitive prices and warranties. Upon taking my 1998 Lexus in for a major repair job, resulting from long overdue service that was neglected, the folks at Prestige diagnosed the problem and repaired the vehicle using original Lexus parts, as opposed to after market. Upon running into some unexpected issues arising out of the repairs, the staff and owners took the car back not once but twice and worked on the car until it ran like new, without charging anything additional. Whats more management there is friendly and courteous and wont try to sell you unnecessary repairs. Two thumbs up.

If you come here to get your car serviced, ask for Mike. Ive come to this shop twice for an inspection and this is the first time I met Mike. He is very personable, in comparison to the other staff (the ho-hum bordering rude guy sitting in the right hand corner). You can tell that Mike doesnt allow the day to day nonsense overwhelm him and intervene with his customer service; he should train the staff. There is one thing I would change....position at least one of the computers towards the customer window. When you walk into the shop, everyone is facing the shop floor and not the customer that walks through the door. To some customers, they might see this as a lack of courtesy or respect (just imagine if you are at Starbucks and the registers were facing the blenders while he/she is taking your order). Im looking forward to my next visit but if Im serviced by someone lacking Mikes interpersonal skills, I might just take my car to Long Island City.

My car broke down last week while visiting NYC and I had no idea who to call. After searching online and calling a few NYC towing companies, I decided to give these guys a try since they also have an auto repair shop in NYC. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised not only by how quickly the tow truck driver arrived, but how nice their auto repair shop was. I was bracing myself for a typical NYC auto repair ripoff, but everyone at the shop treated me very fairly and they got the work done quickly so the experience did not kill my vacation to NYC.

When my mechanic retired and closed down his shop, I wasnt sure where I would turn. Im so happy I found Prestige. Ive been going to them for less than a year, but Ive found them in that time to be honest, reasonably priced, competent, and really great at customer service: They are so good at explaining stuff and answering questions. They also dont try to upsell you. If you go in for an oil change and they notice you may need new brakes in 5,000 miles -- they wont try to sell them to you that day. Its never convenient if something goes wrong with your car, but its such a relief to know that I can bring it some place I trust. You know how you know its a good place? Check out the customers waiting. Everyone is friendly and happy (because they know they are not about to be ripped off).

Were from Massachusetts and had a very tricky problem with a 28 year old Mercedes. Getting stuck in NYC can be a nightmare and Manny and the workers could have easily ripped me off, but they didnt. They got me out of trouble very inexpensively and explained everything to me. We left there and drove home with no problems. We are grateful to them and would recommend them to anyone who gets in a jam in The City. Thanks a million to Manny and the crew at Prestige.

I have tried a bunch of auto repair shops in Manhattan and one in Brooklyn over the past 10 years. One clearly over charged me, one did work I did not authorize and then probably overcharged me, my car broke down shortly after I had a tune up from one, and one was all cash and in Brooklyn. So based on some positive reviews here I gave Prestige a shot, and I am glad I did. The people I interacted with were professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. They clearly described what they thought should be done (new battery, door replacement, new axle, and tune-up), why, and the cost. And they did great work. I will definitely be a repeat customer if the need arises and will very comfortably recommend them to friends.

Not to be trusted. I feel their expertise is in PR and website management, but definitely not in fixing a car, nor in communicating with the customer. I took my car in with a check engine light due to engine misfire. 6 weeks and $900 later I was told that the solutions they came up with were not the right ones --of course I had to pay for those mistakes--and the problem was something else and would cost much more. When I started the car after their experiments, the entire dash control panel was dark and it made noise that had not existed before. The manager explained all that he had done to try and fix the problem--bottom line was they could not fix it and I paid a good deal of money to be the guinea pig. When I called to speak with management regarding these issues he indicated he would look into it and call me back--that was weeks ago. I do not anticipate getting a call. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE FOR REPAIR!

I passed by the shop to check out my check engine light since my inspection sticker was due. I met a trusty technician named Manny who was very smart and helpful. I was about to head for a road trip and my boyfriend insisted on having my car checked. I have read reviews about the excellent services Car Inspection NYC and decided to try it out myself. Good thing I had my car checked because I might be in for a bigger trouble if I insisted on using the car without having it checked by the experts. The services rendered were excellent and a good value for my money’s worth. From now on, this will be where I will have my car inspection done.

I just went for an inspection and as it was the first day of the month, there were many ahead of me --They called when the car was ready and everyone was smiling and easy to interact with.
